The best restaurants serving British food in England

Gaynes Park is my favourite barn wedding venue in Essex! Quite the statement, I know, but it is simply amazing! I have had the absolute pleasure of photographing many beautiful weddings at Gaynes Park, and every time it blows me away just how picturesque it is, no matter the season. I truly believe it is the most personal and inviting place where you feel like the venue is yours to make unique! Couples can make the most of the stunning surroundings, while their guests enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space to mingle. As a venue, Gaynes Park is completely accommodating, offering beautiful preparation areas, a lovely outdoor ceremony space, a timeless Orangery for the ceremony, and the barn for the wedding breakfast and party. From a photography perspective, it doesn’t get more beautiful than this. Whether it’s the iconic gardens, the picturesque Orangery, or the scenic countryside views, every detail adds charm! Absolutely fabulous as always. We live in Keswick but this is one place we love. Never had a bad meal and service is excellent. We got the bus instead of driving and we were an hour late and we still had a table.

Took my money, served me great food—what more can you ask for? Always a solid experience at Continentals Burnley. Tasty, well-cooked meals and reliable service. Will definitely be back.

Haddock is excellent. Though there is a disappointing number of chips included with a fish supper, around half of chips where I come from. Chips decent. Battered sausage is good. Cheese burger is a sorry attempt at a burger. One of the cheapest patties I've come across in my life.

Stayed here in car park in our camper for the Night as it was on an app called park4night. Have read a lot of reviews and disagree with a lot of them and have to give my true reflection as bad reviews can really do harm to someone’s business if they don’t get what they desire!! Like I said stayed one night, brilliant park up. Owners..brilliant! Restaurant..could do with an update to be honest I won’t lie however…food!!!!!! Wow just wow! Someone has wrote “came out of a tin” what an insult!! In no way shape or form did any of mine or my wife’s food come out of a tin. This probably sounds a bit much but I/we have never eaten food of this kind of quality in our lives! I will enclose a picture! And portion size wow!! That’s a bit of me! And we also had our young daughter with us too and was recommended by the owner just to share with her and not to order something separate. How right he was! So in that respect he had the decency to tell us this rather than let us spend more money in “his” restaurant which I thought was very good. So it’s a thumbs up from us!! People please do try and take peoples reviews with a pinch of salt. Again many thanks to the owners for letting us stay.. free of charge we might add Thankyou

The photo below shows you the space between our bed and chair. Hardly any room to get in and out of bed. We paid £400 a night for room only This is meant to be a 5 star hotel. We asked for a reduction..and was denied. Feel cheated.

Always an enjoyable evening when the group of us go to Nando’s. Lovely food and great service. Chris with the red hair made us all feel welcome and checked on our table a few times he was lovely.

Genuinely the best smashed avocado I've ever had. I mean look at it... And trust me, it tasted even better than it looked! I was starting in the area for the weekend and looking for a nice healthy breakfast on a Sunday morning, something that's not ready to give where I live. After googling I have this a go and wasn't disappointed. They have a great selection of teas, coffees, and pastries, all topped off with a vibrant, fresh, and healthy menu, perfect for brunch. The only disappointment is that it isn't closer to my home!

Bought a take away coffee from Espresso lounge on a whim and didn’t regret it. It was the smoothest coffee I have tasted. The owners have so much knowledge and passion when talking about coffee, they really took their time with me. I bought a bag of coffee beans to go with it, and I can’t wait to treat my family to a Costa Rican fruity blend. Great experience!
