First class Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts - both the beef and porchetta - were perfectly cooked and the blackboard special of rabbit and bacon pie w/cider was outstanding.

A delicious Sunday roast, full of flavour and the cauliflower cheese was insane! The best roast i have had in London. Plus beautiful service from Graeme and a lovely pub. Thank you so much x

Gran comida - tenía el fish & chips con huevo encurtido y salsa tártara casera, que era excelente y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Mi marido tenía el pez monje que también era bueno, seguido de delicioso pudín de toffee pegajoso. No he estado antes, pero sin duda volvería.

A very charming gastropub with lovely decor and incredibly welcoming and warm staff. The food was tasty and it was reasonable priced

Definitely one of my favourite veggie roasts I’ve had in London! Also really enjoyed their house Bloody Mary. Great selection of wines too!

Booked before going to the ballet at Sadlers Wells and put this in the booking comments. Waiter was attentive to this - good service and wished us a nice evening. Menu was fairly limited - 5 mains plus a few steaks as they had a Burns Night menu later in the evening. Quality of food was very good. My daughter thought her steak one of the nicest she’d had.

Very nicely cooked hake and duck, good pudding. Nice cocktails. Lovely table, clean. Area reservedfor dining less noisy than rest. Nice waiters, kind and pleasant. Warm atmosphere. Courses are designed for those eating a full meal, unlikely to be filled by one course only. Good portions but go for a starter too.

We always have a meal here before going to Sadlers Wells. As usual, we had a wonderful meal. Arthur, was brilliant - very welcoming and helpful - great service!

It was our first time dining at The Wilmington Pub and it was superb, we will be back. We were a table of six, all of us enjoyed our food which we chose from the specials menu. The puddings were also delicious. A great find. We loved it. Thank you.

Very busy when we arrived but were quickly acknowledged and given a nice booth table. Service and food very good, despite being super busy. Good value and prices not too bad for central London.

We both had fish and chips. The fish was delicious, fresh and encased in crispy batter. The chips were a grave disappointment. They were brought to the table freshly cooked and very hot but greasy and not crisp at all. We did not have any starters or desserts. A table near us had diners a little too loud and emphatic in their conversation. We had to raise our voices to make ourselves heard which detracted from our overall experience.

The three of us had the monkfish as there wasn’t really anything else we fancied on the menu or specials board. Didn’t expect it to be on “the bone” so there was very little meaty fish - all came away still hungry after our main course - bisque was nice but the fish was insubstantial, very few potato straws and samphire, the tomatoes were cold. All in all felt expensive for what we had and finished up at Pret to get a snack and coffee! Staff were very attentive.

One vegetarian main dish at the time of visiting. Service was slow. The restaurant is not dog friendly even though the pub is. The staff did accommodate but this should be more clearly visible. Overall it was okay.

Greta welcome, cocktails food and service. Small but tasty menu with some real gems plus all the favourites.

Como estadounidenses en Londres, buscábamos ese ambiente festivo, buena comida y un precio razonable, y eso es exactamente lo que recibimos. Había algo para todos en el menú, incluso nuestro más exigente de los comedores estaba satisfecho. Tuve una margarita de jengibre que fue sensacional. ¡Basta con decir que somos unos cerdos felices con mantas! Recomendaría una visita en cualquier época del año.

Staff helpfully asked it we were going to Sadler's Well,s down the road, to make sure we finished our meal in good time. That was very handy. Good vegetaeian gnocchi, and delicious rich cauliflower soup (though we were not sure how well the golden raisins worked as an addition). We ordered cheese for afters (having loads of time before the ballet) and the serving was large and hearty with chutney and yummy crackers. Ideally, we'd have enjoyed a second non-blue cheese (it was mainly blue). But a good meal and really friendly, efficient staff.

Best Pre theatre meal around Sadler’s wells. Warm atmosphere. Attentive service by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Care for food intolerance. Having tried most restaurants around the theatre I think this gastropub is the best value for money.

Amazing pub and restaurant. Good vegetarian choices and the quality and portion size was excellent. Wonderful service, attentive and excellent in terms of helping my mother to make her trip even more comfortable. Prices also good and range of drinks offered a real balance. Highly recommended, we will definitely visit again.

Great local pub with good beer and great food. The service was a little slow but that was because there were less staff on duty. The servers themselves were great.

Unfortunately, we had a pretty disappointing experience. The venue itself is quite average and didn’t live up to the expectations we had for a more unique gastropub experience. Rather commercial and average. We had to return a truly terrible starter, and then the behavior of one of the staff completely soured the atmosphere of our dinner. We were seated next to the ordering station, which wasn’t ideal as our two very young kids were naturally moving around a bit and occasionally obstructing the servers. To make things easier for everyone, we politely asked to be moved to a nearby table that had just been freed up. Unfortunately, our request was met with a rude and passive-aggressive response from the waiter. It was clear that he was tired and overwhelmed, but this doesn’t excuse such behavior toward guests who are simply trying to find a solution that works for everyone. People working in public-facing roles need to maintain professionalism, even on tough days, or take a break when needed to avoid situations like this.

We loved this warm and charming neighborhood restaurant. It was recommended by a friend who travels to London often. The food was great, the staff could not have been more friendly. It was out of the touristy area of the city and we Felt safe and relaxed. Highly recommend 😊 cheers 🍻

All the family enjoyed every part of the experience at the Wilmington, thank you to the lovely waitress and compliments to the two chefs.

This was absolutely perfect! Just as I hoped. The welcome was warm and the table was lovely and festive to walk into. The food quality was really good and I loved how the staff had clearly chosen to have fewer bookings and more quality experiences. This time of year, group meals can be so disappointing because every restaurant is like a factory, churning people through. We were able to really relax and enjoy our time together at our table. Savour each course, with a nice rest in between one. Thank you Wilmington for a wonderful end of work and start of the festive holidays.

It was silly season but the booking we had confirmed for 6 and a dog was not available when we arrived. We squished onto a table for 4 impacting our comfort and the comfort of the diners on the table next to us. The team tried to suggest it was my fault for not saying I had a dog, which I had specifically rung to confirm the day before. No real explanation was given other than it being Christmas. Food was ok. Atmosphere was lovely. So really hope it was just as a result of them being so busy. Would love to go back and try again.

I went to The Wilmington for dinner before going to the theatre on Saturday. The pub was very busy and noisy, which wasn't great for my sister and me as we love chatting and catching up. The food was very nice but the service was a bit slow because it was so busy. It was full of large parties having Christmas dinner. So maybe another time of year would be better. The food was nice and a decent price.

Si no fuera por el servicio al cliente tendría que dar tres estrellas. El personal era servicial y muy amable un crédito para el negocio. ¡Literalmente no se puede pedir algo mejor! La decepción que siento decir fue la comida, esto realmente afectó la integridad de este negocio. Sé honesto, y no tomes a los clientes por tontos, puede que hayamos tomado unas copas pero también tuvimos una copia del menú y lo que la cocina armó para el tercer plato fue vergonzoso. El problema se resolvió rápidamente (como dije fabuloso servicio al cliente) que ayudó . . pero . . por favor sea franco con sus clientes . . . si tiene un problema de suministro háganoslo saber de antemano o simplemente retire ese artículo del menú. El menú festivo no es el más barato y para lo que teníamos siento decir que no es el mejor. Los cócteles, por otro lado, estaban listos. Sólo la comida te decepcionó.

Overall excellent. The Sunday roast (Cap of beef) was really great and good value for Monday at this price point. Service was attentive and genuinely delivered with care and consideration. We have been a few times now and will definitely return. Thank you all and keep up the great work. I have twenty years of experience in the hospitality sector so I'm hard to please!

My first time visiting here, I had the veggie roast while my friend had the beef roast. Both were absolutely delicious, and this has been one of our favorite Sunday roasts in a long time. The service was excellent—quick from being seated to being served. The pub itself is lovely, with a great atmosphere. We’re definitely coming back again!

Neighbourhood favourite that soars above traditional gastro pub. Service second to none, cracking food. Perfect just for popping in for a pint - or lingering to get a real glow on!

The lady who served us was so nice and hospitable. She moved us to the dining section, which was pretty and cosy. My virgin mary was very tasty. Courgetti fritti was very tasty, olives not to my taste but good quality. Everyone else enjoyed their food but sadly my vension cottage pie was badly burnt through. I should have sent it back but didn't and paying for that wasn't ideal. Desserts were good and overall we had a pleasant time. I would come back and just order a different main course.

Thoroughly enjoyed the meals from a standard menu and chef’s specials, the way the staff looked after us and atmosphere in general. Will be back for sure.

Visited again last Friday. We had previously visited for Sunday lunch which was fabulous. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. The food here is excellent, freshly made and delicious.. Service is excellent too so would definitely recommend this pub.

Honestly, the best pub roast north of the river. The food was outstanding and they have a great choice of drinks as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Tolle Location mit sehr freundlichem Personal und ausgezeichneter Küche. Wir sind am nächsten Abend spontan nochmal dort gewesen und könnten auch ohne Reservierung essen. Lediglich die Preise sind nicht ganz ohne, aber das ist in London überall so.

A diferencia de algunos otros pubs de la zona, nos recibieron cálidamente al entrar en el Wilmington. Nos encantó el ambiente y el personal de camareros era muy atento y atento. Tuve un pastel de olla de pollo con zanahorias glaseadas y era excelente.

Excellent food in a wonderful pub. With an array of roast choices available across London, this is by far one of the best in terms of quality food and service by a great attentive team.

Delightful servers but isn't it always annoying to be seated somewhere chilly and dark looking at empty, well-lit tables, especially if you booked for the relatively quiet opening spot at 12.00? We had a top-notch Bloody Mary (it was Sunday) and a selection of roasts. The vegetarian Wellington hit the spot but our veggie wanted more gravy. The porchetta was well-cooked but I wanted a bit of zest or fennel rolled in. The beef was top notch and beautifully pink the beefeater wanted another slice. Whatever the puree was at the bottom of the plate (squash?), it tasted scrumptious. Roasties were equally amazing though not overly crunchy. Sunday lunch is about abundance so a little more of everything - two carrots and two cabbage leaves - would make this a new favourite roast spot. Still give me quality over piles of badly cooked food any day.

Sunday Roast was fantastic and the kitchen serves until pretty late for a Sunday. Beautiful dining room and the service was great. Highly recommended.

Sunday roast was ok but service was extremely slow. Wanted to have a dessert as well but as we waited more than 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared after we finished, we decided to ask for the bill and leave. Do not recommend.

This was a pre theatre lumch so we didn't stay long and to begin with were almost alone. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I chose the aubergine dish which was delicious.

We loved our meal at the Wilmington.. Amanda and her team looked after us so nicely, the food was delicious - simple, well- cooked pub fare. Highlights included the scotch egg and onglet steak. We will be visiting again.. great beer selection, ambience and food.

Went for Sunday lunch with my aunt before going to Sadlers Wells. We had the sharing rack of lamb which was beautifully cooked as were all the vegetables. They were super busy and service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry so we weren't bothered. Would highly recommend and it will be our new pre ballet dining place.

What a gem. What a find. 13 of us ate here prior to a show at Saddlers Wells Theatre. We were 20 mins late because of trains and timing but were served very quickly and still able to get to the theatre in good time. Staff were very attentive. Food was presented well and everyone’s was hot. I can recommend the chicken special. The flavours were sublime. The Fish and Chips were enjoyed and the Steaks were also complimented. Bonus, we could pay cash and no obligatory inflated service charge. We are already planning a return before seeing Swan Lake in January .

Great place to eat. This was a pre-Sadlers Wells dinner and drinks. The food was lovely. Delivered swiftly and efficiently. The building is well styled and well looked after and the staff are friendly.

After catching a matinee at Sadler's Wells, we came to this absolute gem for dinner! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the food? Mouthwatering. Seriously, if the blackcurrant sorbet's on the menu, do yourself a favor and get it—pure bliss! This place has all the cosy vibes of a proper local pub. We’ve already booked our next visit. Can’t wait to return!

Reserved a table on-line, same day of our planned visit, three in our party and we all ordered roast dinner, each different, the pork loin was amazing, roasties and Yorkshire pudding perfect, portion just right, flavour and variety of the veg was great, finished off with lovely deserts, table service couldn't be faulted, wouldn't hesitate to go again, wonderful experience start to finish
