This was our first visit to Edward Moon and from the moment we arrived we were looked after and treated as special despite the fact the restaurant was full. The menu is interesting in terms of choice and variety within each dish. All the food was very tasty and nicely presented. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Stratford Upon Avon! Thank you.

We had lunch at Edward Moon with our friends and their two young boys (including an Edward) while on a long weekend in The Cotswolds. The menu had a good selection of light options, which is all we needed. Everything was served promptly and was nice enough on the whole, although my wife found her baguette a bit soggy. The staff were very friendly and made sure that the boys were well looked after.

Our lunch was poor. We all had a baguette and chips. The baguettes were part baked and looked like they had been filled without completing the baking process. They were pale, very dry and did not taste of anything at all. The chips were frozen and smelt strongly of oil. Overall it was not a good lunch. We arrived and were the only people in the restaurant which should have alerted us to the fact that our meal would be poor. A few other people arrived later on. The service was great. The waitress was very polite and helpful.

Excellent & friendly service, gorgeous environment, delicious food. What more could you ask for? Love this place. The bill came with a delightful picture of this establishment in Stratford-upon-Avon.

All staff extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our experience at Edward Moons. Food was exceptional. Had the pleasure of a window seat aswell....would highly recommend this restaurant 👌

We have visited Stratford a number of times, however fortunately parked outside Moons Restaurant. The menu was really good and the waitress gave us a large table just for two of us . We chose as a starter the poached pear and Stilton and the goats cheese and Brie parcels with cranberry. A wonderful combination . The main course of fishcakes with salad and the grilled marinaded chicken with salad again had a great flavour . The chef knows what he is doing The service from our waitress could not have been more attentive . The best meal we have enjoyed in Stratford upon Avon We will definitely use this restaurant when we visit

Fabulous restaurant that I have been visiting for approx. 15 years. I really enjoy eating here when I visit my family in Stratford - in fact it's the only place I choose to eat at when I am there! I have always found the menu to offer plenty of choice, the is food delicious, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed dinner at Edward Moon today. The food was excellent; Patrizia who looked after us was charming and efficient.

Visited here on the off-chance after a long drive to Stratford as did not fancy the hotel menu. Was pleasantly surprised. Staff were wonderful. Extremely courteous and helpful. Food was excellent. Well-cooked and good value for money. The only reason I did not give five stars is that I had a steak which, though cooked to perfection, was not a great cut of meat. However, this would not stop me recommending.

My Husband and I visited here yesterday. We choose here as the reviews on Tripadvisor were very good. After our visit we totally agree with the positive comments. The food was homemade, very fresh and tasty. The service was excellent. And I must say the toilets were spotless. Well done to everyone involved and I wish more restaurant owners would look and learn from what this restaurant offers. Congratulations "Edward Moon"!!!

We were visiting Stratford for the weekend and stumbled across this restaurant purely by chance. What a find!!!! Enjoyed a beautiful meal here on a Saturday night. Busy restaurant but not rowdy or overcrowded. Food was absolutely delicious and well priced. There is a main menu plus specials board. I don't think I've ever seen jelly on a dessert menu before!...... but I had it and it was so lovely! Rose (zindafel) flavour jelly with raspberries and chantily cream. Soooo good. The staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming but kept a respective distance and didn't over bother us. Compliments to the chef. 5+ stars for this restaurant. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Stratford.

Myself, my girlfriend and my sister visited The Edward Moon one Sat evening. Lovely food, and friendly staff. We had a very nice evening eating out at this restaurant. Would definitely visit it again.

Had a lovely meal at Edward Moons on Saturday evening, service was excellent and very attentive. Pork Belly was way better than I expected and a good sized portion too. The only minor thing preventing me giving 5 stars was the Winterberry and Apple Crumble. This is either unexpectedly served chilled or the portion served to us was cold. Either way not what you'd expect for a fruit crumble.

Excellent service - 11 ladies celebrating a 60th - staff were friendly helpful kind and fun thank you we will be back. It was a great evening with a special ambience and the food was lovely and tasty and hot - except the ice creams of course

I eat out regularly, most weekends at least, but I rarely write reviews as most places aren’t worth writing about. Edward Moons is different. I love it. It’s probably my favourite restaurant in the UK. I will not stop coming back as long as they keep serving me delicious food and tonight was no exception. If duck is on the menu, order it!! Special shout out to Rachel, who was, as always.an absolute delight. She’s simply lovely. My wife and I adore her and she always remembers us and our preferences. Tonight we visited with friends and they were as impressed as we always are. 10/10 for Rachel and Edward Moon as always.

I took my 93 year old mother on a day trip to Stratford and we had lunch here. The food was excellent, well cooked. The staff were superb. I would recommend this restaurant!

The food was excellent and the atmosphere so warm and welcoming. We were a large group that pre-ordered and communicating with the restaurant ahead of time over email was super easy. All the allergies were catered for and there were no issues with the orders, everything was seamless. Can't praise the restaurant staff enough.

My friend and I ate at Edward Moon yesterday for my first visit, before going to the RSC. We had a fantastic meal, and throughly enjoyed our starters and mains! The service was excellent; Rachel who served us was very attentive and helpful. We had no problems being in and out in just over an hour to get to the theatre, but didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely be going back!

This is an excellent choice for a relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and great food. We had 3 courses with all being excellent and the plates were all empty. Central location makes it easy to find. A must visit.

Visited as a couple during a flying visit to Stratford upon Avon. Had booked at this restaurant after reading the reviews left by previous customers. The menu did not disappoint and the food and service was very good. It was let down by the fact that we were seated in an area that could not benefit from the efforts made by the ceiling fans on the hottest night of the year. Last September I booked a table for my partners 70th Birthday, we had been waiting for it to open after lockdown.As soon as we went in, we were greeted by a new set of waiting staff, none of the ones that had served us for years.We ordered our favourite Belly Pork, even though it was now being served with a different sauce, the waiter assured us it was good as ever, we also had to order veg and pay for it, but it used to come with a selection of vegetables, and roast potatoes.Our meals came out, we could immediately see that it wasn’t to its usual standard, the pork had just been cooked under a grill, rather than slow cooked in the oven, mine was burned around the edges, and very tough, but the thing that really got to me was the Aunt Bessie Roast Potatoes!!!!At no point did any of the waiting staff come to ask if everything was ok, they didn’t ask even when they took our still full plates away.The standard was very disappointing, this used to be our favourite restaurant, somewhere I would recommend to everyone, but from the disappointing meal that we had, I’m afraid I will not be going back.Such a shame, because it used to be so good…

Chose Edward Moon on the reviews they got . The staff were very experienced and made you feel welcome . I had the ribs chips and slaw it was very good indeed .My husband had the home made pie which he enjoyed.The staff check on you but they are not intrusive . I was surprised when the bill came as it was cheaper than I though .Very well deserved excellent reviews you get .

Well, after a very disappointing meal out the night before, not here may I say, we went here, we were on our guard!There was no need to be.The service was great, right from the off.The wine, the food and the atmosphere made it a great experience.Even the lady that told us about the wall pictures, everything was spot on.I like to say THANK YOU to everyone at Edward Moon as you made our weekend.

We visited here on Saturday evening for dinner having looked at the menu online. We were shown to a lovely window table upon our arrival. The food and service were 2nd to none. Although I am not vegetarian, I had the poached pear and Stilton to start then the roasted butternut squash and coconut curry. My husband had the whitebait then the slow roast belly of Cotswold pork. Everything was just amazing. There is nothing we could fault about this restaurant or staff, who were really very welcoming and just lovely. We would certainly recommend a visit here.

We had a late booking here and were seated in the snug for a drink whilst our table was prepared. Drinks promptly arrived and we were struck by the warm buzzing atmosphere here. I would guess its mainly a local clientele who keep coming back because they value good food and good service.We enjoyed the evening very much, a cheese soufflé and salmon fishcakes to start, Harrogate blue cheese gnocchi and pork belly for main, washed down with a very resonably priced bottle of rioja. The desserts were a bit of a let down, the staff kindly offered to replace or refund having noticed we didn't eat them. I hadn't wanted to say anything so I really valued the integrity of them asking if it had been okay and if there was anything they could do about it. This is a really good venue to eat, a well balanced menu with a lovely atmosphere and warm staff.

What a fantastic menu great selection of meals & service was great, I did receive a flat soufflé however it was dealt with in a professional manner & it it’s hard to keep a soufflé risen. Our mains was delicious but the Chocolate brownie was the best it truly was divine. Really enjoyed our evening here with great ambiance & wonderful service would definitely return.

Really nice quaint pub setting but the food excels the setting.. not your typical pub grub ... much much better in terms of food quality. We were greeted straight away and led to our table. The staff were friendly, welcoming and professional.We had 3 courses and every meal was 10 out of 10!We both started with Prawn Cocktail which was extremely flavourful. For main I had the Hake and my partner had Pork Belly with a side of greens and to finish I had Creme Brulee (to die for!!) and my partner had the Brownie.Highly recommend. We could only get a table at 5.30 so early meal and very quiet in there but soon filled up. Service with a smile & very prompt. Food was tasty & not big portions so managed 3 courses.

We went in on a Thursday for Steak night ( 2 Rib-Eyes with sauce, chips etc and a bottle of red) for just £40. The food was perfect with a lovely pepper sauce washed down with a very pleasant bottle of red. The service was both friendly and professional. One of the best places in Stratford.

We visited last year and had a delicious lunch, returned this year on a Sunday looking for a light bite. Sunday menu looked lovely but mains a bit big for what we were looking for. The staff were really friendly and more than happy for us to just have some starters and drinks, my son particularly liked the prawn cocktail that was packed with seafood. We were made to feel completely at home despite our meagre needs. Will definitely use again on our next visit to Stratford.

We visited Stratford a couple of weeks ago and had found this restaurant online. It's a lovely place and we received a very warm welcome. New guidelines were being followed and we felt very comfortable during our visit. We ordered from the early bird menu and were surprised by the substantial portion sizes. The food was all fantastic and they were very accommodating with our request to serve my hubby's starter after his main course, with my dessert! Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Stratford.
