Deli Cafe in Stratford-on-Avon

I just love the Deli Cafe, the breakfast’s are just fantastic, so hot and freshly cooked. The staff are always so friendly which makes every visit a pleasure to come. I look forward to my next visit.

Went on a day trip to Stratford on Avon with my daughter, stopped of at Deli Café great food and good friendly service, I would recommend it to anyone to pop by for lunch

Went in with my husband for breakfast . I had the regular English he had a large breakfast .both were super. Hot fresh cooked to order and tasty. The staff are very friendly and the cafe has a warm atmosphere often busy with locals who the staff all refer to by first name,a lovely touch. Great cafe ,pop in,you won’t be disappointed !

I don't understand how this place gets so many good reviews. The food was very average. You could tell the fish & chips were shop bought frozen ones just cooked up. In fact, the chips were horrible and dry, cooked from frozen. I had the halloumi salad, which was very small and basic. Staff were pretty unfriendly. Why call it a deli cafe when it's got nothing to do with deli food.

Amazing cafe! A must visit when in Stratford! Very busy when we arrived but the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The owner was lovely to meet and the food was fantastic. Good luck with the rest of the season, you really have an amazing place here.

We only wish we lived nearer! Quite honestly the service, the welcome and the food are all first class. Breakfast is freshly cooked, plentiful, with good quality ingredients. As for lunch, if the pie of the day is chicken and white wine you’d be crazy to miss it. It’s the most delicious pie we’ve ever had, so much so on our last trip we took some home for tea! We could have had breakfast in our hotel but chose to visit Deli cafe as we knew it would be better. Thank you all and see you all next time!

It was a busy day, but food was served quickly, even though we were told it could be a 20 minute wait. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent and not what you would expect from a cafe. I don’t know where they buy their coffee beans from, but the coffee was amazing. I would highly recommend this place as it’s great value for money.

Took ages to be served, actually took order on table next to us and ignored us. Food was good, but forgot my toast on all day day breakfast. Mention no toast paying the bill, received a sorry, but no offer of refund on toast.

Fantastic cafe! Had Googled the place before a day trip. Wasn’t disappointed. Great food at a good price, especially for Stratford; they have not taken to cater on for the tourist trade which is unusual and pleasant to see. Food so well presented and well cooked. So good we went back later in the day for Cream scones!

Great place! Food of the highest quality and cooked fresh to order! Table service. Friendly staff that don't jump on you as soon as you walk in! Lovely friendly atmosphere with gentle background music. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

FANTASTIC MEAL! We had the English breakfast and the fish & chips and both were the best we’ve had in England so far! The waitress was very kind and the restaurant was clean. The prices were also very reasonable. If you’re in town, this is a must visit!

Found this lovely cafe while visiting Stratford-Upon-Avon. Efficient and super friendly service with a great selection of items on the menu. Enjoyed a veggie sausage and mushroom white roll - food was well cooked and tasty. A very lovely community feel surrounded by lots of regulars. Will definitely visit again.

Made to feel welcome and the lady who took our order was very polite. We had a Caesar salad which was very nice, and a cup of tea. Busy but not bustling.

Came here whilst visiting Stratford a few weeks back and wanted breakfast. Really lovely well run Cafe, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was all cooked fresh to order and arrived piping hot, flavourful and good portion sizes, couldn’t fault it. Good milk alternative options for drinks too which was great. If I could give any feedback it would be whilst there lots of people were coming in and confused if you seat yourself, then order at the counter. Whilst there it was table service, a sign on the door or coming in might help solve the confusion for people (not a big thing). Will be back again when we’re in the area and would love to try more of their food.

Lovely place on the one the main streets going into Stratford. Good choice from the menu. Staff were very friendly, toilets a bit small, but they were kept clean. Worth a visit

Excellent service , prices and food quality. Pet friendly which was a relief as the day turned chilly. We both ate for the same price as many places charge for one here in town. Recommend!

This cafe is a great place to eat and drink. Their flat white coffee, in my view, is even better than Costa. And there breakfast is one of the best I've had in a long time, I'm not a fan of hash brown, so a double egg came. 😋The service was top-notch, thanks to all at the deli cafe. I will be back. Go and try it, you won't be disappointed.

Great place to eat, friendly and helpful staff great price. We had a main meal, desert, pot of tea for two and cold drink £52.00 in total. My husband got ice cream with his Bakewell tart when I asked although it wasn't on the menu which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place.

We visited on Monday morning with our 6 month old puppy, had a lovely friendly welcome, tea and coffee plus the perfect mushrooms on toast and a lovely breakfast roll. Our dog had his own water bowl and was fussed by the staff. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.

Great variety on the menu and a brilliant price - particularly for Stratford Upon Avon! A relaxed atmosphere, even when it was at full capacity. Staff were very friendly and approachable; the chef was very understanding of my food anxieties (not to mention cooking poached eggs to PERFECTION!) Definitely going to be visiting regularly when we move to the area!

An amazing little cafe with a lovely atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. We had an all day breakfast and gammon, egg and chips and both were delicious. They don’t fall into the trap so many places in highly touristy areas fall into of not caring because the clientele won’t be visiting Stratford again. They deserve their 2023 travellers choice award.

Fantastic lunch at Deli Cafe. Food and Service was outstanding considering it’s a popular place. I had the homemade chicken and leek pie which was absolutely delicious. All very reasonably priced considering the high quality food. Look forward to my next visit whenever I next find myself in Stratford-upon-Avon.

We went when the Victoria Market was on, and even though it was very busy and waited about 40 minutes for food, the wait was definitely worthwhile as the breakfast was delicious and the staff remained upbeat even though they never stopped. Thank you

I was enjoying my large breakfast until I tasted the brown sauce from the HP Bottle. It was 100% a cheaper brand and not HP. Please put this right.

Since it's take over it's become a really good place to eat, if you can get a seat as it's very popular with the locals, I'd book ahead if you can

The food here is absolutely delicious! All home made in house, which is a refreshing change of pace. The lady that made our food was so lovely, I didn’t catch her name! We will definitely be back again!

Such a lovely little place, had a gorgeous and really reasonably priced fry up and the staff were so lovely! Perfect end to our stay in Stratford.

We were looking for a lunch spot whilst visiting the Christmas market. Whilst we had to queue and wait for a table to come available it was worth the wait. The staff were running around to keep up with demand but couldn’t do enough for you. Such a friendly, welcoming place & the food was lovely. We would love to return when we come back to the area. We stopped here for lunch, very busy but we were seated and served very quickly. I had the roasted tomato soup which was absolutely delicious, plus a raspberry & white chocolate muffin to take away. Good food & good prices.

Lovely little cafe with thoughtful friendly staff and homemade food. I had a veggie red onion quiche which was gorgeous. We were here at a very busy time so kitchen service was not fast but worth the wait.

This is the best cafe/restaurant in the whole of Stratford. The staff are phenomenal, friendly, professional and fabulous The chef is…well he is truly amazing! The chicken and leek pie was so fantastic yesterday, today we came back for more. Stuffed with tender chicken and soft buttery leeks in a light buttery pastry it is without question sheer perfection. We also did breakfast here and again, every item is cooked beautifully and is beyond super tasty. We only wish you opened Sundays! We’d drive the hour and a half for a Sunday lunch cooked by you! Roll on our next visit - we cannot wait!

I had a wonderful lunch at the Deli Cafe in Stratford. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lasagne which was arguably one of the most tasty lasagnes that I had ever eaten. Scrumptious and home made with a lovely salad and at a price that felt like 20 years ago. Such great value for money. The staff are super friendly and welcoming with a special shout out the lovely Will who looked after me and made sure that I had everything I needed. I am so looking forward to coming back for a delicious lunch at a price that is easy on the wallet with the kindest staff! :-)

Found this place based on gluten-free options. I went on a Saturday and it was very busy, despite that there was a table free. Menu had a lot of choice, and the gluten-free fish and chips were excellent. The all-day breakfast was great, it's not cheap but comparable to most cafe prices in this area. Service was great and I wasn't waiting too long for the food. If you're into milkshakes, then they do one with lots of extras. The NCP carpark is just over the road. There was a market on too.

Afternoon tea was lovely, all nice and freshly made, my daughter had a child's afternoon tea and she enjoyed it too she even had a dish of sweets

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch after going into another place which did not come up standard. Then we came upon Deli Cafe🙂 We were welcomed by very pleasant staff, explained how they would take our when we were ready. The cafe was very clean especially after each set of customers left the premises, using antibac spray and cloth. The food was hot and service was good. The food was very fresh and tasty. Thank you Deli Cafe team. We will be back.

Lovely traditional cafe with great food. As an Aussie I know my meat pies but I reckon the chicken and mushroom pie here was one of the best I have eaten. As a coffee snob I can also say that the coffee was v good.

Organizing a trip to Stratford I found this café on Trip Advisor with great reviews and was not disappointed. Coffee was excellent and jacket potatoes likewise. Situated in an old building on Meer Street the inside was bright and clean. Service with a smile was gratefully received. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I were in Stratford recently and looking for somewhere to get some lunch. Gluten Free lunch. We noticed on the menu they did Gluten Free Fish and chips so we gave it a go. When the meal arrived it looked amazing and plenty of it to. It was amazing, very freshly cooked and was heaven for us to find somewhere that catered for us. Bread and butter also. They also do other Gluten Free options and we will definitely be back. Deli Cafe, keep up the good work.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch, sat outside in the sunshine, staff were attentive and food was great. Plenty of gluten free options too. Breakfast menu looked great so will back to try one of these another day.

The food was nothing memorable. Found a small hair in a sandwich we were served. They were very busy and clearly not organized to handle the busyness. We waited for a long while for a secondary portion of our meal before we decided it was no long worth waiting so we paid and left.

We picked this cafe as it looked so attractive, very pretty inside and a few tables outside for people watching and enjoying Stratford. Cafe is very clean, well decorated, decent menu, good service, staff was lovely and polite. We only had coffee, I would say price was cheap, considering in Stratford 🥰☕️ The cafe is disabled friendly m, apart from toilet, as it will be too small for wheelchair users to get in, unless there is a disabled toilet in the cafe that I didn’t see. It's safe to say that this place put us in a fantastic mood and we enjoyed the final day of our holiday so much more as a result, leaving us with some very happy memories of a beautiful town.

Lovely food, cooked on premises and very friendly staff

We popped here today for some lunch while exploring Stratford upon Avon. Unfortunately for us it wasn’t the best. My wife had the gluten free chicken and bacon sandwich. Sadly the chicken was very dry, and my son ordered the sausage chips and clearly asked for peas. When his meal came, it come with beans! The staff gave us a plate to scrap them off! We waited a while for our meal so there was no chance in sending it back. We just wanted to leave. Maybe we was just unlucky. But we won’t be back!
