Lovely breakfast, proper home cooked fry up, nice refillable filter coffee, log fire burning, dog friendly, 10/10

My friend and I live at opposite sides of the country and this village was the half-way point. So at random we met at this friendly pub. We had the vegetarian breakfast that was amazing and the kind lady that served us and kept us watered was a lovely host. We were only going to stay for a short while however the atmosphere was so warm (helped with the real fire) that we ended up staying for several hours. Would recommend.

Visited with friends for breakfast on Sunday. Food was delicious, good value and the bar staff were really friendly and welcoming. The chef even took the time to ask us if everything was to our liking. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Love the atmosphere in the D&P. Great service and really friendly and great atmosphere. So reasonably priced considering the quality, really good! Beans come in a little saucepan which are very hot. So maybe decant them onto the plate but overall 5⭐️

Visited with a large group of family and friends in the morning for breakfast after a wedding. Food was lovely, staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Would highly recommend this pub.

Lovely breakfast (very impressed with their vegetarian breakfast options) and excellent service! Definitely recommend, we'll be back again for sure. The hound was also very happy with his complimentary sausages!

We’ve been for a couple of breakfasts here since COVID and We are always pleased with our visit. Not only is the food as good as we remembered, but the layout and protocol followed by the staff makes me feel very safe and comfortable in these uncertain times. Not to mention how polite and helpful they are. Would highly recommend, best way to start the weekend!

Been for Saturday breakfast twice since Covid. Great food as usual and really good value for money. Staff so friendly and pleasant. Perhaps more importantly in these extraordinary times we felt totally safe as they have an excellent safe distancing system.

Wow this pub is absolutely amazing. We were there 5 years ago with family as it's their local. Its jammed with locals who make you feel very welcome. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Just want to stay and relax with friends. Came back again this morning to watch rugby and have a truly fantastic breakfast. If you ever want to experience locals at their best, enjoy a true English fry up, then come met Kathy and her team. They will really make you welcome. Can't wait for our next trip to Alcester.

Been several times now for breakfast on a Saturday morning, having parked in the adjacent free public car park. The food is simply excellent, with unlimited coffee. The staff are super friendly. The ambience is great. Value for money is unbelievable. Sky TV available if that interests you too.

Only came in for a pint and to watch some of the Champions League on BT Sport when I was in Alcester but it was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced with friendly bar staff.

We regularly come here for breakfast at the weekend, or for a pint and a friendly face at the the end of a working day. Not only is the food brilliant, but the atmosphere is one of the best you will find in a pub. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, and the drinks selection is good too. Also well stocked with bar games such as cards and dominos that we like to have a game of in the garden every now and again with friends. 10 out 10 and easily our favourite pub in Alcester 👍🏻

Choice of 3 real ales, always well kept. Breakfast is excellent. A good friendly pub with a great atmosphere.

Recomended. I had roasted red pepper and horseradish soup, and sausage and onion sandwich . Both were good and tasty. Smart rather than old and cozy, but a nice place to sit.

Just don't order fish & chips. It simply can't be done. Great beer, friendly service.

Food was awful. Order lasagna and parts were hard and other parts just too cheesy. This is a local pub and if your no a local then atmosphere just won't be for you.

A very quick after work visit, friendly atmosphere, extremely smart and polite bar person and the beer was great too! I'm sure we'll stay longer next time!

Wonderful hub full of warm welcoming vibes! Rochelle was one of the most efficient and welcoming bar staff I've met. Lovely food and drink too.

Tucked a bit away in Alcester this little pub is well worth a visit for breakfast. Nice interior with friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and also good value. Full English with some extras, a pot of tea and a tonic water for just over £10.

This is a quaint old pub several hundreds of years old with a notable pub sign which overhangs the street outside in lovely old market town of Alcester. They serve food and at the bar 3 cask ales, Doom bar, Mad Goose and a variable guest. TV screens, one at each end of the bar area and one in a garden smoking area support sporting events. Well. Run by landlady Cath. Love it.

Called in with friends for a drink with friends after a lovely birthday dinner. Great little pub with a good selection of beers. Excellent bar staff who welcomed us and our friends dog.

What a fantastic pub! With such an unassuming exterior, my expectations were somewhat limited, but all that fell away when i walked in. The bar is a clean, well set out room that manages to be modern and traditional - not always an easy balance to get right. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and immediately felt at home. I enjoyed the beer (Mad Goose IPA) and found a nice corner outside where alongside the 'garden' (a paved yard with some really well made upcycled-pallet furniture) there is a sort of sheltered snug which I imagine could have an amazing atmosphere on a warm evening. I was there fairly early and enjoyed the peace and quiet as I read a book and waited for a friend to turn up.

Visited here Saturday 2 September 2017. We had two full English breakfasts at £5.95 each which included a large pot of tea for two with cups and saucers, sugar lumps, proper!. It was superb. Couldn't fault it. Nice barmaid who was very helpful. We will definitely eat here again next time we have a day out in this area. Beautiful old building this pub is. Overall Alcester is a lovely town.

We are regular breakfasters here and it is always excellent food and friendly efficient service. My husband usually has the beefy breakfast and I have either the American with pancakes, scrambled egg, bacon and maple syrup or the Veggie breakfast.

What a fabulous breakfast. Great welcome and a choice of breakfast. I had the good old English which was superb all freshly cooked and well present please note the sausage and the mushroom were not deep fried. Will be there again very soon.

Over the weekend this great little local serves breakfast from 9am. It's well worth a visit to chill out with a cuppa reading the Sunday papers. I had a great bacon and sausage sandwich served with a smile

Nos metimos en aquí para el desayuno fin de semana pasado. No estaba abierto cuando llegamos a pesar de estar formulada después de la hora de apertura. En general, el desayuno estaba bien - bacon bueno. Pan Fried demasiado grasientos para mi gusto. El principal problema era las salchichas mediocres. Estaban sosa y sin sabor. Por desgracia una de nuestras salchichas también era totalmente crudo. ¿Volvería? Probablemente.

Came across this pub when out on a walk. It is far larger than the outside displays with two bars and an outside sitting area. The staff were welcoming and the beer/cider both good we will be back.

Stayed with friends and needed somewhere for breakfast. Wow, what can I say a varied selection to choose from, sat out in the garden, lovely food and great service, nothing was too much trouble, hope to visit again!

After a six mile walk we discovered the Dog and Partridge by accident, all other walks had taken us to the top of the town. Good beer, good food, wonderful people. we shall be back soon. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I normally save 5 star reviews for 5 star establishments. This place deserves the accolade because ,of its kind, it is hard to beat.The Manageress Hannah and her assistant Kerry were presented with 20 Ramblers for lunch and drinks during our walk in the Alcester area. We did pre-order at 10.00am , and updated them on our ETA as we walked around. However, what they produced was miraculous !The food was excellent (from Hamburgers, chilli, sandwiches, Thai curry etc etc)the service fast, efficient and friendly. From a Ramblers' perspective, there are 2 kinds of pubs - those that welcome us and those that do the opposite. This pub is pretty near - if not at - the top of the first group !

Lovely and welcoming garden area, perfect for an al fresco lunch. The menu is fuss free with tasty sandwich, panini, salad and jacket potato options. I've tried several other pubs and tea rooms in town and none of them live up to this place. Well worth a visit for the weekend breakfast.

I come here to drink and watch the sport regularly and when I can I come for breakfast at the weekend with my wife. It is an excellent breakfast, always served with a smile
