An excellent Sunday lunch, well cooked and decent portions too. Wide range of drinks, especially craft and real ale. Nice chilled atmosphere as well and of course a fantastic building. Booking strongly recommended. Dog friendly too.

Haven’t been to the Malt Cross for a while, but have some great nights there over the years. Popped in for a beer and a glass of wine for the wife, I know I should have asked or looked at the price of a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc but had a shock at the price of £12.90! No problem with the beer prices as they were on a par with town prices, but the wine was on the par of restaurant prices

Went to the malt cross with my husband daughter and partner .we are from Sheffield my daughter lives in Nottingham and is a regular .firstly I am a large lady in a wheelchair .the security guard helped us get through the doors to get in.accessibilty was good.i asked for the disabled loo which was thru the staff doors which again we were helped by two lovely staff holding doors open leading the way etc.next we ordered drinks and cake which were served with a friendly smile and chat by the waitress .nothing was too much trouble .the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the place is stunning .again as we left the security man came to us straight away to move furniture and open doors to make exit easier.i highly recommend the malt cross .I felt comfortable and looked after .

Foods always great with no complaints on taste, quality or presentation. The atmosphere is unbeatable, it’s so calm and inviting in the day perfect for ‘working from home’ or revision sessions, and chirpy and joyful in the evenings whilst being less rowdy than other nearby pubs Service is always with a smile and staff are more than happy to help whenever I’ve needed it!

Nice pub and the quiz on a Monday night is fantastic, probably best pub quiz I've been to in Notts, but it is so so expensive. Hard to complain since it's a nonprofit but 6.90 for a wheat beer is insane (although the bartender did tell/warn me about the price so that's fair). Gotta stick to the real ales for sub 5 pound pints

We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday and upstairs was still very quiet- which we were happy about. As it got busier it still wasn’t too loud upstairs (compared to Wetherspoons over the road) When our food came we were overwhelmingly impressed. Such good quality for the price of it (£11 burger WITH fries and a salad) at today’s prices of things we do not have a single complaint. By the looks of things they have plenty of entertainment throughout the week too- will definitely be back when somethings on and to show friends this awesome place😁

Absolutely lovely. Food portions are very decent and are great quality- value for money 10/10. There are plenty of alcohol free options available. For the Gin of the week with elderflower tonic and 330ml bottle of low alcohol beer came to £11.30. Two burgers with fries and salad £22 (£11 each). Highly recommended! Booths along with comfortable chairs too. Charity run, with live entertainment too. While Wetherspoons was packed, this place was still mellow. Lovely bar staff, friendly,

Lovely, interesting place (ex music hall) just off the main city square, which we've enjoyed several times in the past. The beer was excellent, and the mulled wine was amazing, I'm told. Menu was a little limited, but OK, but within a few minutes of ordering, we were told that the delivery that had just arrived had none of the meat ingredients on it. This knocked out many of the menu options. The staff were great and dealt with it as best they could, but I hope this isn't a regular thing. I'd certainly give them another try, though, just in case.

The Humble Cat provided the catering for my Father's funeral and they went above and beyond what was expected. There were more guests than we thought and Vicky worked so hard to ensure that everyone was served promptly and that there was enough food. The food was wonderful and we had many positive comments.
