The best restaurants in Nottingham East Midlands

Food was delicious. Particularly enjoyed the primavera lasagne and also the Affogato dessert. Service was great, friendly and helpful.

On the positive side, service was kind and wine pairings were excellent, with very generous pours and generally good food portions. Decor choices created a relaxed and comfortable vibe. The venison course was exceptional and the risotto flavourful. On the critical side, though, some of the courses were a bit of a miss. The scallop, drowned in hollandaise and coated with a soggy spinach and bacon pile, was almost as disappointing as the very basic (and single bite of) tortellini. Service was variable. Excellent attention to some details, such as napkin folding and cutlery replacement. But lacking in warmth and connection elsewhere: I would have expected a bit more of a welcome and introduction to the menu, for example, or a suggestion to order an aperitif. On the whole, our experience was comfortable, but it missed the mark for full-blown fine dining, while still being too formal for a more relaxed, upmarket bistro. And though for the range of food I suppose it was objectively of good value, I felt we paid a bit more than was merited in the end.

Absolutamente hermoso desayuno, fantástico tamaño de la porción, se sentía muy lleno! Preciosas tazas de té y teteras, excelentes precios asequibles. Es acogedor y hogareño, se siente un poco como ir a una buena casa de amigos para tomar el té. ¡Si pides una olla grande de té, obtienes una olla de muy buen tamaño! El personal era amable y dulce. Increíble bar con personal amable, gran variedad de bebidas y música en vivo. Este fue nuestro lugar antes y después cuando en un concierto en Rock City. ¡Ojalá pudiera recogerlo y trasladarlo a Newcastle! Si de vuelta en Nottingham sin duda volveremos a visitar! 🤘

Primera visita a la panadería ayer. Recogí un montón de delicias muy sabrosas, incluido un rollo de salchicha, que es el mejor que he probado en mi vida. Qué ventaja es esta panadería para la comunidad de Nottingham. ¡Bien hecho y gracias!

Wow, the food is amazing, the service outstanding and we felt like we were the only customers in a full restaurant. I would travel an hour from my home to eat here again!

Yo y mi hija hemos estado viniendo aquí por años y nunca nos vamos decepcionados. Incluso si no estás familiarizado con la cocina grecochipriota, hay algo para todos y el personal extremadamente amable siempre te ayudará a decidir. Fuera de la fantástica comida y café, nos gusta el ambiente y que cada vez que entramos, nos reciben como familia.

Nochevieja en el William Gunn. Absolutamente brillante. La comida era fenomenal, el servicio excepcional y el entretenimiento era brillante. Te superas a ti mismo cada vez que William Gunn. El mejor pub en Nottinghamshire bar ninguno!

I'd heard about Mocky-D for a while but never knew where it was; one couldn't find it by chance, tucked away in this small industrial estate and Google Maps didn't indicate to me that it was real (eg street view didn't show it). Truly a hidden gem. The owners are friendly and passionate about what they do. The food is great; I highly recommend the Philadelphia Cheeze Steak Sandwich (I have only had it once, on my first visit, and would love to have it again). But, I've tried everything on the menu and so far, enjoyed everything. Nice to try the limited edition themed burgers, with well thought out toppings. Liquid Light (Vegan) Brewery in the same Unit 9, right alongside. Hit and miss parking (double yellow lines on most of the road edge) but seems pretty relaxed here.

Great chocolate , handmade by someone who is clearly knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate about chocolate! I attended the bean to bar workshop a couple of days ago with my daughter and we had a fantastic experience! I am not vegan myself but was very impressed by the quality of the chocolate. It may be a little more expensive than shop bought chocolate but thoroughly worth paying the extra for a quality product

What a brilliant place to drink. It’s small place but have full package. Wonderful, attentive n active staff happy to serve u on ur table. Beautiful atmosphere. Have indoor n outdoor seating. Small but colourful bar. Superb variety of their own brewery drinks. Enjoyed my time there. Thanks to u guys. Btw all I was missing neon colours. A suggestion for paint colourful benches. Hope visit there again soon

Visitamos Vietcentric como pareja para pasar un tiempo valioso juntos, esto resultó ser una gran opción ya que pudimos aprender sobre Vietnam y su cultura, experimentar cocinar comida tradicional y luego tener una gran charla con otras parejas mientras comíamos nuestras creaciones. Recomiendo encarecidamente Vietcentric para parejas o grupos que quieren una experiencia gastronómica diferente a un restaurante “normal”.
