Lombardo's in Nottingham

Food was delicious. Particularly enjoyed the primavera lasagne and also the Affogato dessert. Service was great, friendly and helpful.

Tiny place with a handful of tables. The lasagna was to die for! Highly recommended!

Visited with my partner as a belated birthday meal. I had been wanting to visit for ages after reading the amazing reviews and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, the best Lasagne and Tiramisu I've ever tried... Better than lots of places we have tried in Italy. Even my mocktail was perfect. The waitress for very attentive and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Can't wait to visit again!!

Lovely little restaurant serving (almost exclusively) lasagna. And when I say lasagna, I do mean some of the best you've tasted. Including a few more exotic variations on the theme. Staff are also friendly and helpful, will be visiting again!

Visited for a birthday meal with my partner and we had a great time. The food was fantastic and the restaurant was intimate and cosy. Would love to see some more veggie lasagne options as well.

What a gem of a place! Friendly, welcoming service and delicious food. So simple but so well executed. We are going to be dreaming of those little potatoes for a while now. Probably the best lasagna I’ve ever had, can’t wait to come back and try another flavour. My partner is vegetarian so please to see 2 veggie options on there. Absolute bargain of a set menu on a Sunday lunch - 3 courses for £29. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had been meaning to try Lombardo's for months, and we wish we would have gone sooner! All the food was made with love, presented beautifully and tasted amazing. After a recent trip to Cinque Terre, the antipasto (in particular) took us right back to sitting in the sun eating fresh pesto and focaccia. I did a little food dance for every course, and the happy wave goodbye from the kitchen made our visit all the more special. Thank you!

We went for our anniversary and had such a lovely evening. The food & service was 10/10 and we both agreed we can’t wait to go back. We both got different options of lasagna and both were incredible. Highly recommend!!

I was so excited to come to Lombardo’s that I’d booked many weeks in advance - this excitement was fleeting, however. I arrived to the small and comfortable venue, and I appreciate that it’s a casual setting but I’d been sat in the middle of the room, where I could hear all of the other surrounding tables’ conversations (I don’t doubt they could hear ours too). The owner was super pleasant even though my company and I were not so comfortable. Starters were not extraordinary, considering it was essentially a cheese and pastrami board but I was there for the main event: the lasagne. There were so many options and I’d chose the “white ragu” based lasagne, out of curiosity. My company chose a lasagne from the specials and it really didn’t disappoint - super meaty and delicious! However, my lasagne seemed to have had its sauce reserved for appearances - it had little to no moisture inside! All I could distinguish was lasagne sheets and the occasional mushroom or sausage without even glisten of sauce. It was bland, super dry and I left feeling extremely defeated since I’d long anticipated this meal. The experience as a whole favours the negative side more, though the staff were lovely. Unfortunately, I won’t be revisiting again.

Probably the best food and service we have experienced in Nottingham. Would definitely recommend.

The only restaurant in Nottingham where you’re GUARANTEED a fantastic meal every time you go. The best food, best hosts and cute setting. Not only is the lasagne to die for but the potatoes are also incredible as is the Nutella tiramisu!

The food is amazing, the restaurant itself is compact without feeling at all cramped and the wait staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. I will definitely be going back to work my way through their many variations of lasagne.

This was one of the best complete experiences I have had at a restaurant in Nottingham. The food was excellent. The drinks were superb. The service was exceptional, friendly and genuine. It is such an intimate little restaurant where you feel like you are a part of something truly authentic and original. I cannot wait for the next time we visit and explore more of the menu.

Came out for a meal, just my fiancé and I and honestly we had an amazing time! Ashleigh provided the best service and the food was flavourful and good value.

What a gem of an Italian restaurant. The hosting was top notch, friendly and authentic. The owner took time to shoot the breeze with us, explain the dishes carefully and check in on us during our meals just the right amount. The food - phenomenal. You would think the cow was in the kitchen considering how fresh the riccota was. Interesting twists mixed with classic takes on lasagna to choose from. They have nailed a small restaurant feel, with a larger restaurants energetic vibe. Could go on all day, but I think you get the gist. Do not sleep on this place, highly recommend!

Service was good, food was great! We had the sharing starter off of the special's which was fantastic. The lasagna's for main were very good, not the best i've ever had, but not far off at all and the best I've had in a restaurant in England. The sides of sourdough with garlic and the roast potatoes were also worthy of a mention, as was desert. Will certainly return!

Amazing lasagna, the best I've had outside of Italy. We had la zucca, butternut squash, and la romana that had the best ragu and taste. Made me think of the ragu a la bolognese you get anywhere in Bologna. Good choice of starters and deserts. We had tiramisu. Really fluffy mascarpone on top, really nice and light. I would use more coffee in the recipe though, but really good nonetheless. Like the choice of wine too. Can't wait to come again to try the other lasagna.

All four of us loved our food, we all had a variation of lasagne. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was proffesional without being too imposing. Highly recommended

We had a lovely Mother’s Day meal here. Really appreciated that they rang to let us know that they had a cancellation as they were fully booked. Loved the different types of lasagne - we tried 3 types and they were all delicious. We also had bruschetta to start and tiramisu and affogato for pudding. Also enjoyed the limoncello and Prosecco cocktails! Great service too. We will be back!

Excellent place. Try and find another restaurant with 100% 5* reviews. Almost impossible. Brilliant lasagne and service. No need to venture into town when neighbourhood restaurants like this are on your doorstep. And there could be wolves in town. Maybe. Don't risk it.
