Amores is a beautiful family run business. I have been coming here since the day it opened, and the food is still outstanding as from the day it opened, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. I really enjoyed my birthday meal with my friends.

Don't be fooled by the fact that this place is in the sleepy village of Gedling. Inside it is a smart cosmopolitan venue with great food and great staff. Well worth a visit if you are looking for great quality Italian cuisine in this neck of the woods.

Once again we had amazing food, very tasty starters and pasta, loved it! Very pleasant atmosphere too! (Julio Iglesias😍) Very good service, even though the very nice Irish lad on the front of the house was off tonight .Will defo come back

Lovely service especially by a lady called Zoe, food was brilliant and fast however we booked a place and was left waiting 45 minutes after our booking time to be seated. Zoe was lovely and efficient and ensured we had everything we needed and was very consistent when serving customers alongside taking orders and cleaning tables at the same time, thank you!!

A superb Italian restaurant located in the heart of Gedling, Nottingham. The restaurant is well appointed and has a great ambiance. However the real winner is the menu, from starters through mains to sweets, it is so good. My personal favourite are the steaks, they are second to none and a must have. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! I recently visited again in May 24 and it still retains my 5star rating , well done team 👍

I went to this Amores for a birthday celebration with my family, the food was great,the staff lovely and the atmosphere was really relaxed, no rushing you through your meal, reasonably priced ,good portions, would definitely go again, thanks to the staff for a good time.

First experience coming here on a Christmas work do and Amores was the best decision! They were very well prepared! Very friendly and helpful! The food was absolutely immaculate and you definitely get your moneys worth! The lasagne was the best I’ve ever tasted and will definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend! 😊

Not family friendly if you have babies or toddlers. There are no baby changing facilities. Theres a table in the ladies bathroom that is broken and damn right dangerous to change your baby on. When asked for better facilities the staff put another table in the disabled toilet. However, there was a very strong draft of ice cold air blowing onto the table making it a extremely cold to change your baby. If you have a child in nappies, do not visit this restaurant with the child until they are out of nappies.

The pasta and chicken dishes every one loved the Caesar salad was poor and needs improving, the steak dishes tasted more like charcoal find very head to swallow and over priced for the size a sauce could be made optional, the staff were very pleasant,also made a birthday very special by getting everyone to sing happy birthday 🎂

Beautiful food, well presented on the plate. The chef knows how to cook a perfect, rare steak 😋. The waiter was knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and very helpful. We'd definitely go again.

I love Amores. The food is absolutely amazing, the service is excellent. It has a great atmosphere, it's often busy but it's still nice and relaxed. It's definitely not a dash in, dash out place. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the food and atmosphere of a wonderful Italian restaurant.

Absolute amazing place to spend our anniversary, food and service was the best we’ve seen to date. Personally I had a pizza and it was by far the best I’ve had. Mrs had the salmon pasta and in her words “ lush “ second time she’s had it & never disappoints. Made us feel very special and loved, it’s like being welcomed into the amores family.

Love this place maybe too much choice on the menu but can you really complain about that. Great service very attentive. Food was so tasty. Visited again and food and service still great.

Absolutely fabulous birthday meal for our middle daughter. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely and the waiters were brilliant! Especially Ken from Northern Ireland. Thank you so much to all the staff who made it a really lovely evening for our family.

01/08/23 - Went for another meal here and it was just as delicious as ever. Calzone are amazing. The pizza dough itself has a lot of flavour and is charred from the over which makes it crispy but light. Deserts are, i think, bought-in and the weakest part of the menu and a little expensive. Everything else feels fresh and home cooked. Amazing food. Superb staff and friendly to kids Another cracking meal today. Cannot fault this place.

High prices for poor quality food and now a 10% service charge for non existent service, we won’t be eating here again, Portobello on Carlton Hill much better.

Its awful just awful. Had the garlic mushrooms and I'd say you are lucky if there is 4 mushrooms. The mains were ok that's it but put it this way you don't need to add salt! But the lowlight of the evening a table behind screaming shouting and swearing waving their arms abouts. Fair enough they was out for a good time but I'm pretty sure other customers don't wanna hear that kind of language. And what does who I assume the manger is do??? Yep nothing. All he had to was just say, calm it down we do have other diners. but no walk round silly grin on his face daren't tackle the issue. Its over priced rubbish and allows vile language being screamed across the room. Honestly worse restaurant I've ever been too!

Went on Sunday evening Service was fantastic food was quality and large portions Thought the steak and stroganoff was a little on the expensive side but all freshly made sauces and delicious 😋 Not sure about the £13 gratuity tip on the bill should be up to the customer but will definitely go again

Beautiful food as always at Amores Gedling, great staff and lovely atmosphere, not been for a few months due to not living locally so surprised to see a pre-quoted surcharge, I always tip but am not a lover of this approach as can often catch out those less observant. All being said still love this restaurant.

A Tuesday night to celebrate a birthday. Great service by the team and the food was so delicious. Maybe too much choice on the menu. But my final choice was so nice and tasty.

Visited Amores yesterday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious and service first class. We have been several times in the past and never been disappointed. Portions are always generous. Booking recommended.

If you visit when waiter kenny is on its great ,if when 2 young girls are on ,oh boy ,its poor,the food is good apart from recent visit when we dined at 8.30pm i had a lasagne ,had everytime i go,this was cold in middle i left 3/4 of it ,girls NEVER checked on us whole time so never had chance until table clearing to say food was cold...never took off bill AND added service charge for 2 PEOPLE!!! told her take charge off and did not tip.kenny ALWAYS comes over,we ate again there last night food great but 2 girls NEVER came over again training needed

Didn’t get as far as an experience, booked a table for a Valentine’s Day meal 2 weeks prior. Only to be greeted by disinterested staff, not willing to help and getting told that they couldnt guarantee we would be seated for our booking time. Sat down after finally getting spoken to and took a seat at the waiting area. Spoke to a lady that had been waiting 45 minutes from arriving at her booked time of 7:30 and still hadn’t been seated. Ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. Amores, sort your booking and table procedure out. Appalling service.will not bother again for this place.

Pros: - very welcoming and friendly staff - lovely atmosphere with proper iconic Italian music such as Adriano Celentano, Pino Daniele and Pupo - good choice of wine - ample choice of food, with vegetarian options Cons: - the bread was very burned, but the staff has been kind and proactive and removed it from the bill even before I could let them know - the mushroom risotto was a bit of a mess - undercooked rice and mushrooms and way too much garlic; it should be creamy, soft and mushroom-y but it was crunchy and very garlicky Overall, it was an ok experience but I want to believe we've been unlucky with food only this time, I'll update my review in case I go back

Can't folt nothing first time there but not the last

I chose Amores for my 60th Birthday meal - definitely the right choice! There were 22 of us, all adults, on a Saturday evening. I booked online, and a very pleasant man called Ken rang me a few days before the date, confirmed number of guests, and asked for a pre - order 48 hours in advance. The meal went without a hitch, everyone had a great time, and many of them said how impressed they were with the food and the restaurant. The staff were brilliant, very attentive, and cheerful. Thank you Amores, for helping the step into my Sixties less painful!!!

Had Christmas lunch with the family. Nice atmosphere and service excellent. Liked the fact you had a great choice of food on the menu from traditional turkey dinner or Italian and not having to pre order. We all loved it.

12 of our family went here and I've got to say it was amazing, the food was great the service was excellent and a real nice atmosphere, it was my first time visiting here and got to say it won't be the last, everybody cleared their plates from starters to dessert, I would highly recommend this place and the prices aren't too bad either.

Food was fantastic, a little noisy but had a lovely meal.

Service was slow to begin with, it was a little over an hour from arriving to receiving starters, (a meal for two). Service from then on was good. The food was excellent and well worth the wait even though a little pricey. Will certainly visit again.

My wife and I visited Amores last night for a meal for her birthday, Have to say the food was outstanding , We had 3 courses including Mussels in tomato and garlic and Bruchetta followed by Chicken Stroganoff and Tournedos Rossini cooked to perfection we even managed a dessert the food was so good . the staff were attentive and very friendly and we would definitely return here as this was first time we tried on a recommendation . Glad we made the choice

The most bland food I've had in a long time. Maybe I just made a bad choice, but the Pizza Al Aglio was more a case of pesto bread than garlic bread. The Salmon Pasta was flavourless. Like cream poured on pasta and served. I definitely would not recommend this dish. The restaurant forgot to make one friends meal, meaning some had finished before she even got her dinner, and another friends salmon was burnt. To make matters worse, the bill was then overcharged by £27, by adding on a steak that we didn't have. Overall a massive disappointment from what was my favourite restaurant a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if the restaurant has changed ownership. They are also no longer accepting their VIP discount cards any longer.

An amazing meal to celebrate my son's exam results and getting into Uni. The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing! Best steak ever in the Fillet Rossini. We will definitely go back soon.

Visited here with friends a few nights ago, the staff were very welcoming from walking in, nothing was too much trouble, the service was a1, food was great and price to match. Our waiter was very helpful (I didn’t get his name, but has an Irish accent) he was very patient with us, as the menu has a lot of choice. We’ll definitely be back again.

We have visited this restaurant twice now and the food is exceptional… on both occasions I had the pollo alla cacciatora and it is honestly one of the tastiest meals I have ever eaten. The staff are always friendly and attentive and have always managed to get a table at short notice on a Saturday night despite it being busy. Cannot fault anything. A must try.

We went Amores as it was a birthday treat for our youngest (16) who want a Calzone and they have a couple of different options. We booked a table online and got a print response to confirm the booking for a Saturday night. We had never been before, but we will definitely be goi g back! Right from when we entered the Restaurant, we were attentively served. Initially it was quiet (we had booked a table for 6pm and Amores opened at 5.30pm), but it quickly filled up and though they were busy, it quite clearly didn't affect the customer service. We went straight for mains, obviously one being a Calzone, which was stuffed full inside and my son loved it. Our eldest and my husband both had pasta dishes (different ones) and both were impressed with their choices. I had the Chicken breast with avocado and mushrooms and it was divine! We all had puddings, and although the waiter recommend the profiterole, we had already made our minds up!!! We were not waiting long for any of the courses or drinks and all in all was a fantastic experience. We paid around £97 for four mains, four desserts, 2 large cokes and a half litre of house wine, which we thought was very reasonable.

What can i say. The food is everything you could hope for. The service is excellent very attentive. A little rushed between 1st and 2nd course but its a busy place. That said after the main your left to relax and enjoy the flavour heaven you have eaten and ponder the awesome deserts and coffees. Its a 10 from me cant wait to go back. Do expect it to be busy and loud buts thats italian restaurants after all.

Wow, this is the best Italian restaurant I ever been to..the food is amazing even gave compliments to the chef, I have been twice, little bit expensive but worth every penny, I will defo go again..x
