The best pizzaria in the city Hands down!! Every time I go it doesn’t fail to disappoint me , the food is always very tasteful and exceed my standards. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with everything. I would 100% recommend this place!!!

This is NOT a carbonara. It’s shameful for an Italian restaurant to be serving this up as a carbonara. I would expect this in a British pub with ‘carbonara’ on their menu. Extremely disappointing. Slow service as well.

my favourite pizza place in Nottingham. Open till 10pm they serve the best pizza and pasta I’ve ever had. Their carbonara is perfectly creamy and their pizzas are light. Would absolutely recommend

Fantastic pasta, went here while staying overnight on business after seeing a TikTok recommending it and so glad I did. No alcohol licence, but there is a Sainsbury's Local next door so you can bring your own bottle.

I ordered the basil pesto pasta and BBQ chicken pizza. For the pasta it was below average, not tasty and felt the pasta wasn’t cooked well, I also asked for extra chicken with it and they put very little. The pizza as well, not tasty and lack of chicken.

It's very awful , disgusting, the pasta looks undercooked, plus it smells like it's expired and the cheese looks like it's been there for a long time, it's not fresh! The service was mediocre, but the main thing was the toilets smelled really bad, like someone had pissed on the walls, and the toilet paper was all wet with an unknown liquid… I really like Italian food, I've never had such a bad meal in all the restaurants I've been to🤢 Oh yeah, they don't even pick at the prawn threads, it's like eating sand with a disgusting texture

pasta is freshly made, when i went downstairs to access the toilet i saw how clean and well put together their inventories are. i can tell they make their pasta fresh. definitely going to come back next vacation!

BEST pasta outside of Rome and the quality of the food is wonderful. Absolutely amazing food and service is just as amazing! The photos don’t do it justice. Everything was freshly made and the pizza is one of the best we’ve ever had. Recommend this place so highly for anyone wanting a real taste of Italy and great quality food with some of the best service we’ve ever had as well…thank you Michelangelo! We are an Italian family on holiday. the pizza was quite good but it is served on wooden cutting boards so keep up hygiene. The pasta that was served to the children defined as Neapolitan was practically inedible, in fact unfortunately they were unable to touch it. the best Italian food in Nottingham is written on Google... probably those who reviewed before us don't have an Italian palate like us. Too bad because I had good expectations.

I had a marvellous time at this restaurant! The Saliciccia was lovely, although I wish I had ordered the Piquante instead. I am glad I did have the Dessert Special Calzone (see image)! The Nutella, mascapone and fruits went very well together! Thank you again!

I visited Solo Grano and found it to be a charming place overall. Despite awarding only three stars, I appreciated several aspects of the experience. The restaurant exudes a cosy atmosphere, characterised by its clean and tidy surroundings. The dining area, although quite tight and on the first floor, is decorated nicely, creating a pleasant ambience for diners. One notable downside was that we were served in Segafredo vending paper cups, which detracted from the dining experience. This decision felt out of place for a sit-down restaurant, hense why I deducted one star. Additionally, being asked to pay before being served was quite unusual and not in line with my expectations for a full-service restaurant. Typically, I prefer the convenience of keeping a tab and receiving the bill at the end of the meal. This prepayment approach cost the restaurant another star in my rating. On a positive note, the gentleman who served us was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which greatly enhanced our visit. We ordered both pizzas and pasta. The pasta was amazing, bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The pizzas, however, were a bit lacking in toppings. While I understand that traditionally Italian-style pizzas are thin, which is not my personal preference, they were still very tasty and amazingly good. The meal for three was reasonably priced, aligning well with our expectations, so I wouldn't consider Solo Grano to be expensive. One standout aspect was the expresso; it was the best I've had in the UK, which is a significant plus for coffee enthusiasts. Overall, Solo Grano has a lot of potential, but certain aspects like the paper cups and prepayment policy need réévaluation to enhance the dining experience. Solo Grano is still a place to return.

Do not recommend. Thought it would be a restaurant it is definitely more of a takeaway place, waiter was nice but food was pretty bad, pasta was raw and crunchy, pizzas were soggy.

As an italian myself i can confirm their pizzas are authentic and delicious. The coffee was also the one you get at an italian bar. I highly recommend this place for pizza and the staff is friendly. Also thanks to Michelangelo for the coffee on the house.

I have been to a lot of restaurants around the city of Nottingham and I can say that Solo Grano it's one of the best I've been. Is a must to visit, they have a different variety of vegetarian and vegan options!!

Quite frankly the meal I had was superb. The pasta Alfredo is the best I've had in UK. And the garlic pizza bread was outstanding. Very reasonably priced too. Recommended!

Pizza was burnt on crust in places mushrooms undercooked scant toppings ie 6 shards of chicken tiny amount of cheese and red onions way to much bbq sauce and tiny sprinkle of thyme. Pasta dry and cold too. I am regular customer at Solo Grano and have dined there several times. This was first time ordered via home delivery and was very disappointed as I had spoken highly about restaurant to my friend. I was very embarrassed by the under par food. The cost of the food far outweighed the quality received. I'm requesting refund and my friend has already spoken to manager who apologised and has agreed to a refund through yourselves. We went in the afternoon and asked to sit upstairs, where there were only empty tables and no customers at that moment. It was just me and another person. After 5-10 minutes, when the waiter came to take our order of one pizza, two cold drinks, and a coffee, we were informed that we needed to order at least two items from the food menu to sit upstairs, which we hadn't been told initially. Since we were not particularly hungry and wanted to share just one pizza, we decided to leave. I must note that the upstairs seating area was not particularly clean and felt more like a canteen. We just wanted to sit on normal chairs instead of bar stools. Additionally, downstairs, there were leftovers from previous customers everywhere. Given the Greek(I think) background of the people who own or run the place, I had higher expectations for better hospitality. Overall, it was a disappointing and unwelcoming experience. We walk past this shop nearly every day and thought to give it a try instead of going to our usual place, but their attitude did not convince us to return.

love the outdoor seating here! also ive tried 4 of the pastas and you can completely customise the pizza. a few times the pizza was cooked for a tiny bit too long hence why i gave 4 but it is genuinely so nice id give a 4.5 instead if i could. also we did sit inside once and the music was super loud and it was playing club music 😭 defo sit outside or downstairs if u come here

I was at this restaurant 2 days ago, I tried the gluten-free option of di pollo pasta and the flavor and flavor were wonderful. Incredible service from a guy who spoke a little Spanish. I went back today and ordered a carbonara, with add of chicken on the side. service by a skinny guy. The food arrived in 2 minutes with a very watery white cream, horrible taste. I asked about the carbonara that I had ordered and he said that they didn't make the recipes like in Italy, because according to him "British people like sauce food” and that the recipe their carbonara were like that. the potion was half the first time. I asked if the pasta was gluten free as I had asked for and paid for it and he said yes and said: you got what you ordered. Well, it was just time to get home and start vomiting. That was my experience there.

Booked a table for 24 drunken Scots on a stag do last weekend and we had a great time. Michaelangelo and his staff could not be more helpful, making sure all the orders were taken care of and pointing us to the shop next door for a quick beer order. The food was incredible and at a great price. Everyone left happy and if any of us are ever in Nottingham again we will definitely visit this hidden gem again!

Solo Grano is an Italian food restaurant in City Centre of Nottingham, UK. Aubergine pasta (veg), Dipollo pasta (chicken) and Napoletana pizza (veg) were delicious and a different variety in a city full of English cafes and American foods. People get to relish Italian cuisine at moderate prices. We all simply loved being there for a change.

Garlic mushrooms from the Starters is a must try. Yummy Al Fungi was delicious
