Incredible hidden gem! The service was great and all the staff were lovely. The food was incredible, a true authentic Italian dining experience. My 8 year old came hear and said “Wow father, this is truly an outstanding establishment, it sooths the bitter sting of life’s harsh reality’s.

Amazing food, very good atmosphere, excellent service and staff. I’ll be back soon.

Shared a Focaccia and a Pizza. Great food, great price. The venue is small and the atmosphere is average, nothing to write home about. I didn't appreciate having to pay before having my food served, but it was great so can't complain. Recommended, the pies were excellent.

Needed lunch after the Christmas market and had read other good reviews online so gave it a go. It was fabulous! Staff were friendly and chatty, nice atmosphere to eat, and phenomenal food (the garlic bread was to die for!). Absolutely no complaints. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Thank you

We had our Christmas party here and it was superb! I had no idea there was seating upstairs, you can't tell from the front. The pasta was excellent, but it was the choco filled calzone pudding that was the show stopper! So glad we shared it between four of us as it was rich beyond belief!!

The focaccia and Pizza was very delicious (order a bit too much for two people). Was sat downstairs which meant there was small space for eating and plating however, I love the atmosphere and everyone was friendly.

I ended up here by pure chance and I am so glad I did. Nice and quick service, delicious pizza made by real Italians, what else do you need?

I recently visited Nottingham and i got recommended Solo Grano from a friend.Safe to say that it did not disappoint at ALL. Amazing pizza( Prosciutto Di Parma) and Pasta(Al Fungi) and lovely staff. If you are ever in Nottingham you HAVE to visit Solo Grano!!

My girlfriend and I came to dinner last night in this place and you have to say the guys are phenomenal since our arrival we were welcomed with so much passion and energy I ate the capricciosa and my sweetheart ate the pasta Bolognese, finally a decent place that knows how to cook pasta properly, the flavors are fantastic, they definitely take Italian products because the flavors are very similar to those at home Great guys and thank you so much for your hospitality

I got recommended this place by a friend for the exceptional pizza they have. I tried the Capricciosa pizza and the Salsiccia AMAZING pizzas 10/10 without an exaggeration. If you are ever in Nottingham you should visit this independent authentic restaurant.

I had lunch at Solo Grano today and was served by a delightful young lady named Elda. Her service was absolutely impeccable—she was friendly, polite, and made the entire experience truly enjoyable. Honestly, her exceptional customer service is a key reason I would return, as great service really makes all the difference in my opinion.

Very poor service. Waitress makes faces. And doesn’t treat everyone equally. And kept shifting our tables stating that you have to make a minimum of 2 orders to be in this table as she was the one who asked us to sit in this table in the first place. Never visit this place.

Just came and visited today with my family it was recommended by one of my friends Food was delicious and flavourful I had the basil pesto which had an authentic basil taste I tried the prosciutto pizza too fresh slices of prosciutto topped up with Parmesan and the truffle oil gave a very good combination and it was delicious I would definitely come back for sure!!

Walked in hoping for a meal, the guy was super curtious and made room for us to sit down, the food was excellent quality and at a good price range.

Absolutely no clue where the good reviews are coming from. I also read a Reddit post and ppl there recommend this restaurant there as well. How??? This has to be the worst "Italian" food I had in a solid while. My gf ordered salmon pasta and I ordered carbonara. Both the dishes had undercooked pasta (no, no al dente pasta but rather undercooked pasta) and the sauces were exactly the same in both dishes. Now you might be like: "wait a second, salmon pasta with guanciale fat and egg yolks? That sounds weird." And you would be fooled since my carbonara pasta came with a creamy sauce made with cream and for the meat they used bacon. The fact that this restaurant is recommended so much is ridiculous.

This is NOT a carbonara. It’s shameful for an Italian restaurant to be serving this up as a carbonara. I would expect this in a British pub with ‘carbonara’ on their menu. Extremely disappointing. Slow service as well.

Fantastic pasta, went here while staying overnight on business after seeing a TikTok recommending it and so glad I did. No alcohol licence, but there is a Sainsbury's Local next door so you can bring your own bottle.

I ordered the basil pesto pasta and BBQ chicken pizza. For the pasta it was below average, not tasty and felt the pasta wasn’t cooked well, I also asked for extra chicken with it and they put very little. The pizza as well, not tasty and lack of chicken.

It's very awful , disgusting, the pasta looks undercooked, plus it smells like it's expired and the cheese looks like it's been there for a long time, it's not fresh! The service was mediocre, but the main thing was the toilets smelled really bad, like someone had pissed on the walls, and the toilet paper was all wet with an unknown liquid… I really like Italian food, I've never had such a bad meal in all the restaurants I've been to🤢 Oh yeah, they don't even pick at the prawn threads, it's like eating sand with a disgusting texture

pasta is freshly made, when i went downstairs to access the toilet i saw how clean and well put together their inventories are. i can tell they make their pasta fresh. definitely going to come back next vacation!

BEST pasta outside of Rome and the quality of the food is wonderful. Absolutely amazing food and service is just as amazing! The photos don’t do it justice. Everything was freshly made and the pizza is one of the best we’ve ever had. Recommend this place so highly for anyone wanting a real taste of Italy and great quality food with some of the best service we’ve ever had as well…thank you Michelangelo! We are an Italian family on holiday. the pizza was quite good but it is served on wooden cutting boards so keep up hygiene. The pasta that was served to the children defined as Neapolitan was practically inedible, in fact unfortunately they were unable to touch it. the best Italian food in Nottingham is written on Google... probably those who reviewed before us don't have an Italian palate like us. Too bad because I had good expectations.

I had a marvellous time at this restaurant! The Saliciccia was lovely, although I wish I had ordered the Piquante instead. I am glad I did have the Dessert Special Calzone (see image)! The Nutella, mascapone and fruits went very well together! Thank you again!

The best restaurant/take away if you want good quality coffee and amazing food in Nottingham.If you haven’t been already you’re missing out and is really cheap compare to other restaurants.The service is excellent and quick.

I visited Solo Grano and found it to be a charming place overall. Despite awarding only three stars, I appreciated several aspects of the experience. The restaurant exudes a cosy atmosphere, characterised by its clean and tidy surroundings. The dining area, although quite tight and on the first floor, is decorated nicely, creating a pleasant ambience for diners. One notable downside was that we were served in Segafredo vending paper cups, which detracted from the dining experience. This decision felt out of place for a sit-down restaurant, hense why I deducted one star. Additionally, being asked to pay before being served was quite unusual and not in line with my expectations for a full-service restaurant. Typically, I prefer the convenience of keeping a tab and receiving the bill at the end of the meal. This prepayment approach cost the restaurant another star in my rating. On a positive note, the gentleman who served us was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which greatly enhanced our visit. We ordered both pizzas and pasta. The pasta was amazing, bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The pizzas, however, were a bit lacking in toppings. While I understand that traditionally Italian-style pizzas are thin, which is not my personal preference, they were still very tasty and amazingly good. The meal for three was reasonably priced, aligning well with our expectations, so I wouldn't consider Solo Grano to be expensive. One standout aspect was the expresso; it was the best I've had in the UK, which is a significant plus for coffee enthusiasts. Overall, Solo Grano has a lot of potential, but certain aspects like the paper cups and prepayment policy need réévaluation to enhance the dining experience. Solo Grano is still a place to return.

Do not recommend. Thought it would be a restaurant it is definitely more of a takeaway place, waiter was nice but food was pretty bad, pasta was raw and crunchy, pizzas were soggy.

As an italian myself i can confirm their pizzas are authentic and delicious. The coffee was also the one you get at an italian bar. I highly recommend this place for pizza and the staff is friendly. Also thanks to Michelangelo for the coffee on the house.
