Always a good visit and a great starting place for that Nottingham pub experience 😉. Great food and VERY welcoming staff.

Just the best brunch spot in Nottingham, small but so nice and comfy, prices are so low compared to the great service and quality they give!

Found this by accident whilst on a walking tour of Nottingham. A very welcoming owner who served fantastic food. I would thoroughly recommend the Italian sausage wrap which is the best wrap I've ever eaten.

Definitely one of the best place to go for a breakfast/brunch. A true hidden gem of Nottingham. Had their sausage bap and cannolis that my wife bought for me one day and it was really nice! And the other day, we came in to have a breakfast, I had the Hungry Pumpkin Special and my wife had the Italian special breakfast. You could taste the quality ingredients and it was well seasoned! Enjoyed every bit of it and left the plate practically clean 😁😁 Never thought I’d see my wife eat veggies in the morning for breakfast lols! Definitely, a new favourite breakfast spot of mine.

Went for lunch with a few friends, one of whom found this online and we decided to try it out. Very friendly staff, lovely food and drink and extremely good value for money! We shall return!

Perfetto! A little bit of Italy right here in Nottingham. We eat here often, because the food is superb and great value, and thexservice is so friendly and welcoming. Authentic Italian food and traditional English breakfasts and brunches, sandwiches etc. And a nice glass of rosso! Highly recommended..

Amazing little cafe right to next a beautiful church. Parking is a minute walk away really easy. The food was amazing and the drinks were really nice. Fantastic service and I'm looking forward to going back

I stopped by St Mary’s Church on a sunny afternoon and sat on the bench outside thinking about where to have brunch. Then, I found this shop right in front of me, and when I searched on Google, it had high reviews, so I decided to stop by. The staff were very kind and the atmosphere was bright. I ordered the veggie breakfast and the pumpkin special, and everything was delicious. Japanese people often don't like British food, but this one was really delicious. This is a store I definitely want to visit when I visit Nottingham again. Coming out of St Mary's Church at noon on a sunny day, I was sitting on a bench outside trying to figure out where to have brunch. I found hungry pumpkin right in front of me and a Google search showed that it was rated, so I decided to go in. The staff were highly friendly, the atmosphere was cheerful and everything was delicious, including the veggie breakfast and the pumpkin special. Japanese people don't often find British food tasty, but this was really good. It's a place I'll definitely go back to when I come back to Nottingham.

The day after watching Nottingham Forest play against Arsenal (weekday), I took a walk around the city, toured St. Mary's Church, and in the afternoon when I was hungry, I found this restaurant right in front of me. It was highly rated on Google Maps, and it had the words "Italian coffee" on it, so it didn't seem like it had an English feel to it, so I went in. The inside of the store was small, but the staff (probably from Italy) were very friendly and the atmosphere was bright and gave me a very good impression. There seemed to be a lot of variety on the menu, including a plate of ciabatta (a baguette-like Italian white bread) topped with chorizo ​​and fried eggs. I ordered and ate the above plate (pumpkin special) and it was very delicious! I've been to England about 3 times, but this place was the best, really! I think you can think of it as Italian cuisine, but it's a restaurant recommended for Japanese people, where you can really taste the umami that you don't get in England.

Fairly nice staff however this is a freezing pokey care, and the food and coffee is very basic, despite advertising as home cooked and barista style coffee this is not what you get. They should take bookings over the phone as there’s only approx 8 small tables and often have a queue outside about 20 deep with people dwelling inside for an hour just for a coffee. They also had a weird quirk where they wouldn’t take an order until the person who entered first has ordered even though they took 20 minutes to decide. Doesn’t make sense to me,

Went in this morning with my partner. I had a small breakfast and a hot chocolate. My partner had a jacket potato and tuna with a tea. The breakfast was amazing, unfortunately I couldn't finish my plate off but I would recommend getting one! Very filling! The jacket was also lovely with plenty of tuna to go with the large potato. Great value for money for both dishes. The hot chocolate I had was smooth and delicious. My partner had a tea in which came a lovely little milk pourer. The place was busy and it shows why. Great place to sit, wonderful little hidden gem and will definitely be back! Lastly the staff were super polite, always had a smile and made sure we enjoyed our stop. If I could it be 10 stars!

My most loved coffee place in town. I have tried the others and the coffee here is simply superior! You can take the coffee with you if that's more convenient of course!

Banging full English, quick to arrive and nice coffee and service. The queue was outside the door but we only had to wait 10mins for a table of 2. Deck will go back next time we're in the area.

Perfect stop for a coffee and a bite to eat. Staff are exceedingly friendly, tables are clean and atmosphere is super cosy. We had a soup of the day (pumpkin) and I think I'll be dreaming about it! Highly recommend!

I opted out from a hotel breakfast to have one here instead. Great service and delicious vegan breakfast! I'm very glad about my decision and would return 100%. There is a lovely Italian ambient there with all the Italian products stack up on the shelves. The food is not served instantly but it was worth the 10ish min wait. Although I'm not a fan of Mediterranean roast, the coffee was delicious and I take it black, so I can really taste it.

So good we went back on 2 consecutive days. Great atmosphere, lovely helpful staff and great food. They were extremely busy but nothing was too much trouble.

What a great cafe. We went for brunch with friends. We had to queue to get in but oh my it was worth it. Our food was delicious the guy tweaked dishes for us nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return to this gem.

We visited the Hungry Pumpkin after doing a quick Google search for nice places to eat for lunch in Nottingham city Centre. The location is lovely and on a slightly quieter street than the main hustle and bustle of the main streets in the centre. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and seated quickly to a table. We chose soup, Panini and the jacket potato for our meals. Although we waited a little while for our food to come (this was understandable however due to lots of takeout orders and the café tables inside being full also) we were not disappointed when the food did arrive, it was delicious! We all enjoyed our meals and it was great value too. My daughter even chose some cannoli too take out. We will definitely be back, thank you. ☺️

First of all, the staff was super friendly, attentive and welcoming. We've chosen this place for breakfast because several comments mentioned that there's lots of vegan options - when we got there, we only found a small amount on the menu however, so we both went for the vegan breakfast. Now, I do like a vegetable heavy breakfast usually, but this one didn't really click for me personally. I didn't really enjoy the spinach and the red peppers were also not what I'd combine with a breakfast plate, so that only left the other vegetables and the hash browns & bread. I missed something that replaces the normal "protein" options of a breakfast plate, whether that's some tofu scramble, some vegan sausages, fake bacon or something similar. A big positive was the nice oaty breakfast smoothie they offered to make dairy-free for me!

Nice quiet caffe. Tried the chai latte and it was ok. The caffe is small but very calm. The service was amazing.

We stayed in Nottingham for 2 days last week and ate at this beautiful cafe on two occasions. Both Andrea and Marco were so friendly, warm and welcoming we tried a few different dishes between us including cakes and pastries and all were delicious!! This will be our number one choice next time we return to Nottingham. Thanks guys!

The most quaint hidden little gem, the veggie breakfast was delicious and it all came super hot and cooked to perfection, the eggs were Divine. The service came with a smile and the Italian coffee is to die for. Keep it up guys .. 🇮🇹

The staff were lovely, really happy and friendly, and ever so helpful. They were like that with everyone that came in. It looked like every table had at least one power socket (with USB-A ports) plus free Wi-fi. All the food I saw looked great, the full English breakfast I had was fantastic, and the coffee was good. It was a cold day but the inside was warm, plus the desserts and cakes on display looked great.

Fantastic place with friendly, helpful service, excellent food, generous portions and great value. So good we ate there twice. Thoroughly recommend. We'll be back next time we're in Nottingham.

Lovely Italian cafe, food and service was amazing and the owner/ manager was really friendly and accommodating. Great coffees and menu was really good too, I couldn't decide what to have. The cafe seemed to have regulars and everyone was really enjoying the food and atmosphere there. We will definitely go back.

It is a very small café. But I heard the next table comments about their meals. Everyone said that it was very nice. The atmosphere and the waters are very welcoming. Our first time at the Hungry Pumpkin. We were a party of 9 and were told to ring 15 minutes before so they could set up our table ready. Half our party were late due to traffic and the staff could not have been more accommodating with this. Once the rest of our party had arrived, they finished setting up the table and got all food out quickly and on time with the rest which was impressive as they were super busy. The choices of food were endless and the specials they had on were great. The food we ordered was 10/10, we could not fault anything! We also tried their cake and pastries and they were just as delicious. This place was a great little find and we would highly recommend to anyone.

It wasn't our first visit in the Hungry Pumpkin and we definitely are going to come back. Delicious coffee, very friendly atmosphere and scrumptious food. Additionally, to the authentic and delicious Italian food the cafe offers a selection of other foods like jacket potatoes or wraps, which were a great option for my 2 young children. We loved it!

Been living in Nottingham for a few years now, and I eat out a lot. This is hands down the best establishment Nottingham has to offer, in terms of food, service, and atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Absolutely delicious. I had traditional (large) English breakfast and my partner had the Mega English breakfast. The toast was amazing, large thick home sliced bread, nicely buttered. We visited here whilst in Nottingham for the day, with it coming up as one of the top rated cafes in the city centre. From entering we were greeted straight away, being shown to our seats. We both went for one of the cafes signature dishes, the “Pumpkin Special”. This came with Chorizo, Eggs, Mushrooms, Peppers, Toasted Ciabatta. One with swapped mushrooms for avocado & the other peppers for avocado. The food was absolutely delicious, & I don’t have any criticisms. The waiter, maybe the owner was genuinely lovely throughout time spent at the cafe.

Our first visit and thoroughly enjoyed. Salads were substantial and tasty. Welcoming staff. Good value. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic place! Away from the busy streets of the city, it's a small place but super friendly with amazing food. We had a BLT, club sandwich and breakfast muffins, the food was fantastic. We will be going back!

I adore the Hungry Pumpkin and am always happy when I get the chance to go. Nothing beats the warm Italian hospitality and marvellous food, which is not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. They have a wide range of sandwiches, pastas, and breakfast fare, and they serve a lasagna that could convince even the saddest, most beaten-down soul that love is real and life is beautiful. If this place is still open when I have a child (and I hope it will be) I’m taking them here for their birthdays.

We came across this small bistrò walking around Nottingham, hidden in a small street by the Cathedral, caught my attention with the authentic Italian products exposed in their windows.. so we chosen to enter and give it a go! Well, my wife and I were soon welcomed, advised and guided on our choices in the proper Italian way before we discovered that the Manager is both italian and passionate for his own culture and cuisine...The food was simply amazing, tasty and at good price! We didn't have the occasion to be back but we will not miss the occasion next time.. . it's definetly worth to try!

Being a regular at the Hungry Pumpkin for over two years, I can definitely say it’s one of the best brunch spots in Nottingham. The food is delicious and the coffee, whether iced or hot, is always good. The team are so friendly and welcoming and there’s always a lovely atmosphere in the coffee shop. I’d highly recommend a visit!

This is by far the best place we have eaten in Nottingham & we have tried many many places. We travel 25 miles to eat at this cafe & we are never disappointed. The food is always absolutely delicious, simply out of this world!!!!! & all the staff are so welcoming & friendly.

Visited the caves and justice museum. By chance found this gem. Popped in with a family of 5. Really impressed from start to finish, prices were very reasonable. Great service Great food. Would definitely go back again.
