The best restaurants serving American food in Nottingham East Midlands

Immediately greeted by the barista who asked how are day was going. He patiently explained the types of coffee to us. The room upstairs is set up like a gentleman's club. It's great room and when full I imagine would have a fantastic atmosphere.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing enough to warrant one. The food was shockingly underwhelming — bland, poorly prepared, and definitely not worth the steep prices they charge. For what I paid, I expected at least fresh ingredients and some attention to flavor, but what I got felt more like a rushed afterthought than a proper meal. I won't order again.

Went here recently to celebrate an anniversary, night ended with both of us confined to the bathroom. First of all, I will preface this by saying the venue itself is lovely. The design is excellent, it’s well lit, the music is good and the shisha bar also looked good though we didn’t go in there. However, upon entering we were hidden in a corner seat despite an empty restaurant. After ordering from the extensive menu we were left waiting for a very long time, especially given the lack of other customers on this particular night. Now the food, my partner ordered a pasta dish which was essentially inedible. Had a foul smell that made us question if it had been prepared this side of the Industrial Revolution. The chicken on top and garlic bread were average, but were overpowered by the rancid smell and taste of the pasta. This is not helped by the ambiguity of the menu, since ‘zesty sauce’ can mean many things and certainly didn’t describe the dish that was served. This is a trend among other items on the menu and narrowed down the menu to only a handful of dishes we could decipher the contents of. I had a biryani dish which, while more edible than the pasta, was ultimately three pieces of dry chicken lumped into a small bucket of rice. After our noble attempts at eating, we were left for a long time while watching numerous staff walk past without even looking at us and led to us leaning over the foliage we were hidden behind to request the bill. Shortly after leaving the restaurant we found ourselves briskly walking home to the safety of the porcelain, where we remained for the following few hours. Overall, the setting allows for the potential to a wonderful restaurant for young people that is unfortunately let down by almost every other aspect, including the overall unwelcoming atmosphere.

Remembering cans off pop and right one

Came for a sausage making evening absolutely fantastic we had so much fun and made fantastic sausage. We all bought some beers wilt us and Johnny laughed and joked with us all night. We run events every fortnight and this is the best we’ve done for a good while

The staff are great, really engaging in conversation, polite and extremely friendly, especially Shaun. I come here all the time. The restaurant is clean, and decorated nicely. The food is amazing and great value for money and I always leave full up.

This was our second visit and it was as excellent as the first. From the warm welcome, to attentive service and delicious food, this has quickly become a favourite restaurant in Nottingham. We were served this time by Ellie, who was friendly and efficient, but we were impressed by all the staff who served us. It is good value for money, particularly if you have a theatre ticket when you can get a 20% discount. We will be back!

Just ordered a pizza not long ago ,as usual it was beautifull ,and they even gave some nice coleslaw complimentry. But most of all there service is spot on from the lady who spoke to me to change something on my order and the lovey guy who delivered my order very nice and polite . Thanks ivan ,gedling

Waiting time is absolutely ridiculous. No food is worth waiting for an hour....even to get drinks you have to grab the waiter passing by, no member of staff is interested in anything but chatting with colleagues.... disappointing, and I did not get the food yet....we will see :(...ok, food definitely not worth the wait...quality of the burger patty similar to the one you buy at the roadside sandwich van...nothing special, with average price being around £10-12 you would expect something better...we have ended up cancelling the second round of drinks (because it did not arrive within 30 minut from placing an order) two pints of lager and pink gin with lemonade....nothing too difficult), overall, very poor experience, un-trained staff, no management

Great location in Nottingham, nice soulful ambience and efficient and friendly staff. Steak was amazing - cooked to perfection. Our only slight downside was that the chips were more like oven chips and not so tasty as the real thing. Keep up the good work!!
