The Garden Dessert Lounge in Nottingham

Went here recently to celebrate an anniversary, night ended with both of us confined to the bathroom. First of all, I will preface this by saying the venue itself is lovely. The design is excellent, it’s well lit, the music is good and the shisha bar also looked good though we didn’t go in there. However, upon entering we were hidden in a corner seat despite an empty restaurant. After ordering from the extensive menu we were left waiting for a very long time, especially given the lack of other customers on this particular night. Now the food, my partner ordered a pasta dish which was essentially inedible. Had a foul smell that made us question if it had been prepared this side of the Industrial Revolution. The chicken on top and garlic bread were average, but were overpowered by the rancid smell and taste of the pasta. This is not helped by the ambiguity of the menu, since ‘zesty sauce’ can mean many things and certainly didn’t describe the dish that was served. This is a trend among other items on the menu and narrowed down the menu to only a handful of dishes we could decipher the contents of. I had a biryani dish which, while more edible than the pasta, was ultimately three pieces of dry chicken lumped into a small bucket of rice. After our noble attempts at eating, we were left for a long time while watching numerous staff walk past without even looking at us and led to us leaning over the foliage we were hidden behind to request the bill. Shortly after leaving the restaurant we found ourselves briskly walking home to the safety of the porcelain, where we remained for the following few hours. Overall, the setting allows for the potential to a wonderful restaurant for young people that is unfortunately let down by almost every other aspect, including the overall unwelcoming atmosphere.

Visited with 5 friends, lovely atmosphere and the shisha pipes were really good too, definitely recommend ice pipe. The food here was absolutely delicious the prices are really good too. The service was also amazing really topped off the experience. Will definitely be back soon

great environment, great atmosphere, the food was so amazing and the options for shisha were outstanding. Luokman was so friendly and helpful, you’re in for a treat if he’s looking after you.

I visit the lounge regularly and I always leave every visit as a happy customer. The venue is aesthetically pleasing and stunning which really contributes to the vibe. The food, mocktails and shisha never fails to impress me and the music really adds to your Friday night vibe and making your experience that extra bit special. The customer service and staff are absolutely outstanding, from the Management team, waiters and waitresses who really look after you, they’re always so friendly, welcoming and making sure my friends and I are looked after.

Absolutely beautiful mocktails. Desserts 10/10 and customer service was outstanding. I can’t recommend this place enough. The decor was super beautiful and posh. Staff we’re amazing and always checked to see if we needed anything! Honestly amazing will definitely be returning!

First time and it definitely isn’t going to be my last! The waffle was incredible, the shisha is easily the best I’ve ever had with a huge selection of flavours and the staff are amazing and super friendly! Will be coming back and recommending to all my friends ❤️

Amazing service from this place and the desserts are to die for! Orded from here a few times.. and only ever had 1 problems witch was solved straight away.. Will not order dessert elsewhere but here!

Where do I start with this place the garden has been so pivotal to my university experience for the past three years you would literally find me there every week. The staff go above and beyond to serve you the best Shisha, desserts and customer service!!!! They have introduced me to so many new flavours and mixes which I never have tried in any other lounges. I’ve been to many other lounges in the area but nothing will ever top The Garden- it literally feels like home. Can’t recommend it anymore. Look forward to coming back to this place!! Please try their kinder bueno milkshake 😍

First shisha back after so long and I would like the say that I am not disappointed. As always, top service from the staff especially Keenan. Will definately be returning

The scenery is amazing, when you walk in the atmosphere and vibe seems great and well presented. However the shisha quality was very poor, it felt like I was smoking coal for an hour and a half.

Anteriormente fui a la fábrica, ese lugar es bueno pero sentí que necesitaba probar un lugar nuevo. Me contaron sobre este lugar y admití que era un poco escéptico. Al llegar, me resultó difícil de encontrar pero lo logré. Se llevó detrás de una comida para llevar. Mi primera impresión fue 'wow' gran decoración, gran ambiente. En ese momento, la máquina de tarjetas no funcionaba, por lo que es mejor llevar efectivo.

I just visited The Garden Dessert Lounge for dessert and not shisha, but the atmosphere was still very relaxed and the desserts were beautiful and freshly made. Although the outside is very deceiving it is a great find on the inside.

Garden is soooo chill!! Amazing and super accommodating staff! Gave us free cake and nachos- great place! Would recommend over and over again!

Shisha realmente a un precio razonable de 10 a 13 libras para la mayoría de las opciones. La selección de sabor es amplia. El personal es atento y revisó regularmente a mí y a mis amigos, y me preguntó si nuestros carbones necesitaban ser reemplazados para evitar quemaduras. Los postres aquí también son deliciosos. Los calentadores son efectivos por lo que no hace frío y la atmósfera es genial. Una cosa que no me gustó es la elección de la música, y también fue interrumpida y cambiada por otra canción cada 2 minutos, lo cual era extraño. Pero lo recomendaría.
