The food was really outstanding although the chips were slightly hard and we very rarely treat ourselves so it was lovely to come somewhere like this without the children. Only let down was a single man sat next to our table watching YouTube videos on his phone loudly. And also being very rude to the servers. Was very awkward and couldn’t wait to leave

Well, where should I begin?!...... this place is a dream. The place is beautifully decorated and set out. The staff are veyond polite and can not be more helpful. So let talk about the food! It far surpassed every expectation and was some of the most delicious food we have ever eaten. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as after 3 weeks since our visit, I am still craving the food from here. This has become our favourite place to eat now due to every aspect of our experience.

Voucher Dining We had a voucher to use and always wanted to visit, so great opportunity. On arrive the front of house was polite, very friendly and showed us to our table instantly. The restaurant was very well set out and although busy, you still felt privacy at your table. Staff were attentive without being in your face and always very polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. the atmosphere was relaxing and again busy yet quiet. Food: half of the Chunky Chips was not fully cooked, Medium cooked T-Bone Steak seasoned really well (perfect) but there was 4 very Raw pieces and non of the fat was rendered and was chewy or hard/rubber to bite into. the rest of the dishes was great and fully enjoyable Mac n Cheese is just that but with a really good crispy top, Salad was fresh and crisp, Peppercorn Sauce perfect. Onion Rings may not be to everyone's taste as the onion itself is raw in texture with perfect batter coating Cocktails are highly recommended :)

My partner and I had a superb meal out. The food was fantastic, service great and we even went through to the casino after to have a little gamble. Wonderful evening.

Below average steaks at an above average price. Offered bread and olives for the table, which turned out to be a £10 charge rather than complimentary. I've had better steaks from the packaged meat isle in Tesco. AVOID if you are actually expecting good steak here.

A little underwhelming from the outside, if you weren’t actively looking for it you would never know it’s there. The area it’s in doesn’t fill you with hope or match the quality of the restaurant whatsoever. All that being said remarkable food, friendly staff and a nice chilled environment to enjoy, even had a little win in the casino that you can see from your table . (Side note) .. Marco Pierre white is an absolute legend.

Dined here for Afternoon Tea on Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was calm and classic. The afternoon tea food selection was varied and delicious. We were looked after by a waiter name William who was helpful, polite, cheery and accommodating.

The sides of chips, mac & cheese, king prawns & onion rings were an indulgence we had to say yes to & it did not disappoint. We devoured everything in sight & couldn’t fault a thing. Those onion rings in particular are worth the trip alone. The brownie rounded off our evening perfectly, the gooey chocolate goodness ticking all the boxes. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.

I celebrated my 4 year anniversary here with my boyfriend. We both thought the food was excellent and nibbled a bit of eachtohers plates. However, around midnight (we gave back our table around 10pm) my boyfriend was quite ill and had to throw up. By process of elimination, we worked out the beef he had eaten must of caused it (I don't eat beef) and that was terrible. He's okay now but I wouldn't return. My food was all fine though, and the staff were lovely.

Had Sunday lunch with the family for our Golden Wedding Anniversary and it was excellent. We could not fault it at all.

Paying for a name only bragging rights only very sad reasons to over pay anywhere, food no better than most locals and as you can imagine prices over the top because of a name. stay in local better service better pricing for two meals here could feed five of my family in my local & have change..

We’ve visited on two occasions recently and both of these have been top notch. The staff are extremely attentive and are always making sure you’re enjoying your meal and not without anything. The food!! Omgosh the food is unreal. We visited the first time for their Sunday lunch and the second time we had the main menu. It was all cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Those onion rings 👌🏻. We’re already planning our return visit, absolutely love this place.

Dined here with family on 20th December. Starter was delicious but the Chateaubriand wasn't great value for money, but cooked and presented beautifully. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to cater to our son's difficult tastes and "fussiness". We'd definitely return and have individual steaks. I love that you still get to choose your steak knife. There is a really good wine list and drinks menu and there was a great atmosphere just prior to Xmas. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and our son was impressed with the toilets . . . LOL It's a lovely place and always busy. Look forward to seeing you all again and thank you for a lovely meal. Sorry for delayed review; been busy running up to and over Xmas. Happy New Year everyone !

Lovely evening out with family. Lovely food but disappointed with the variety of non alcoholic drinks on offer, in fact, just one along with 4 choices of mocktail. Considering that other eateries offer beer, wine and cocktails, I feel the lack of choice at MPW let's it down

Nice relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. I had the French onion soup which looked amazing when it arrived but unfortunately it tasted like a dish of brown water, really disappointing. To follow I had the fillet steak (medium rare) with garlic king prawns. The prawns were just ok but the steak was so tough I had to leave most of it. I’ve never left fillet steak before, ever! And being a steak bar I expected better. At this point I thought it best not to bother with dessert. Overall it was quite disappointing as we had a lovely evening celebrating my partners birthday but was let down by the food. I think Marco needs to pay a surprise visit.

I really enjoyed the evening with my family. Good food, nice atmosphere, beautiful decor.

We had a fab fab meal here following a very kind invitation from Paul. Also a huge shout out to Agnes, you are a credit to the team here & your recommendations were spot on every time!! For starters we had calamari & scallops with black pudding. I’ve always thought I wasn’t a fan of black pudding but it would appear I have been wrong for years & this starter has won me over. The scallops were velvety & melt in the mouth. The calamari has reinstated my husband’s faith in the dish as he’s had some underwhelming ones recently & he couldn’t stop raving about it. I had to order the Sunday lunch & went with the trio. Tim was keen to try the fillet steak & Agnes recommended going for the one with garlic prawns which was a great shout & really elevated the plate. He opted for the smooth creamy mash which they kindly sorted, as this usually comes with chips & what we have dubbed the ‘stairway’ to heaven onion rings which got inhaled, they were crispy but not greasy. My Sunday lunch was a treat & I thoroughly enjoyed every element on the plate, all the meats were cooked beautifully. The beef was pink, just how I like it. I was gutted they’d run out of cauliflower cheese but I imagine that would have tasted incredible. We were seriously impressed with the fillet steak, this was cooked rare & it was the best that we’ve had in a long time. These guys know their meat & they’re not messing around. You’ll be hard pressed to find better!! We shared a sticky toffee for dessert & this was drowning in butterscotch sauce which I couldn’t get enough of! The martinis were a perfect end to our meal & the barman has got skills! We also had a cheeky flutter in the casino afterwards & managed to come out £40 up! Bonus! Overall we would 100% recommend this place, we really loved our experience & genuinely the food was top notch. Thanks again for having us & we will be back, just not years later this time 🤭.

Bit expensive, but food was ok. Just not one I would rush back to. Staff were pleasant and very attentive but was quiet but i guess that could have been the rain.

It is exciting to try new places, but time and time again, when we try to go somewhere else, we are disappointed in comparison to MPW. When you go to the Nottingham steakhouse you know the food will be amazing, it's not overly complicated or fussy, it's just quality ingredients cooked/baked well. Staff are lovely and I just haven't been anywhere that comes close to how good the food is. My advice is to not eat all of the dinner so you have room for pudding as you don't want to miss out on that. Definitely will visit again and again.

We visited from Manchester as a trip for my fiancé’s birthday. We made this known on the booking and were greeted with a balloon a confetti on the table. Our waitress, Megan, was very attentive and friendly and there for us throughout the meal. We had French onion soup and calamari to start, both of which were delicious (we actually keep talking about the soup!). We both had a filet steak for our main and were given the choice of steak knife which I thought was a nice touch. We also had a side of mac and cheese and everything was absolutely delicious. We were then surprised by a birthday plate with some very tasty ice cream on. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, we even had great experiences with both tables next to us. If we were to return to Nottingham, we would definitely come back!

Considering it’s a high end name on the door, the food was anything but. For most of the meal we thought we could make better ourselves at home which takes the fun out of fine dining especially when celebrating a birthday. Our lamb steak we ordered medium rare and on the receipt it stated “medium” on both of them. The birthday sorbet was a nice touch, as was the balloons and decorative confetti. Don’t forget to mention if you’re stopping over in the city or seeing a show then they give you a discount for supporting the city’s revenue.

It’s a big bistro but if kind of fees like a restaurant on a cross channel ferry. It’s in a Casino building. It’s OK but when your compare to a city centre Ivy for example it’s falls well short. The food was acceptable but the service was efficient but surly. We made a booking at 2.45 for 6 which they accepted but when we arrived they said the kitchen closed at 3pm.

Excellent staff, great food, amazing service. Made our wedding anniversary that little bit more special with their personal touch. Many thanks.

Class ! Brilliant food waiting staff impecable

This is the second time we have visited, the return visit was just as good as the first. Both time we have been in large group bookings for birthdays and the tables were decorated beautifully. The food was cooked perfectly and all meals arrived together despite being a group of 8. Both times we’ve visited we’ve had the same waitress which is lovely to have a familiar face. Can’t wait to return.

We booked here for a graduation celebration as steak and wine was on the agenda!!! Scallops for starters were very nice and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed a range of steaks and my fillet was very well cooked again as I like it rare. Service was friendly and professional. Could have been a little more generous with the accompaniments but made up with the free “ Congratulations” deserts and bubbly!!!

There's only one thing to say about dining at Marco's restaurant, it's too little for the expectations one may have, knowing the chief from Masterchef Australia. A simple dish of slices of beetroot larded with sweet walnut and dry-crumbled goatcheese at 22 euro should have had a master's twist, but it hadn't. Not at all. The beetroot was so cold you hardly could taste it was beetroot, midst the dominating sweet nuts. For a main I had lamb (medium) and potato-fondant. The lamb wasn't medium anymore as it reached our tiny uncovered plastic cafe-table, and the fondant clearly had. been reheated, as the outside was leathery, the bottom somewhat burned and the fondant itself dry. The dish as a whole was just that: a piece of lamb and a piece of potato. Hardly satisfying, and an experience we'd rather forget soon.

Very disappointed with this restaurant, heard a lot of good things, but on the night the food was simply not good enough !

Celebratory meal for our son's Graduation. Restaurant made us feel most welcome and had dressed the table with a balloon and confetti ( as they had done for all celebrants that evening). Food and Service was first rate, couldn't be faulted. They went the extra mile to ensure a memorable evening was had by all. The staff are a credit to you MPW. Thank you.

Summer special mixed grill was horrid and dry, more like something from a food court, very disappointed

Average service, staff were not particularly sensitive to the needs of customers. Food took a long time to arrive, was mostly satisfactory with good flavours and presentation. Though I was very disappointed with the barbecue mixed grill which was a cockeyed assortment of different meats and vegetables. Which were small in size and lacked any appreciable texture or flavour, something akin to what may be served at the roadside cafe not a Marco Pierre Restaurant.

Booked the restaurant way back in March.It was my wife sisters and husband 30th wedding anniversary and also our 10th wedding anniversary. First of all we couldn't fault the service the staff where excellent. Had our starters which where 2 french onion soups smoked salmon and the scotch egg which where very nice. But now the main courses arrived my wife had the lamb which was ok but 2 small pieces and we ordered 3 ribeye steaks 2 cooked medium to well done and mine cooked medium. Unfortunately 2 steaks had gristle and they where tough mine was had to cut and chew. With ribeye it should cut like butter and not be tough to chew. No one came to ask if everything was ok but they only turned up when they saw our steaks still left . I explained that I have better quality ribeye steaks from a supermarket. 1 steak maybe but 3 not good .As for the sides the onion rings which where very nice but as for the chips/fries which you can tell where frozen . They wanted to cook us new steaks but we politely declined and then the bill arrived and they wanted us to charge us for the steaks but they eventually took them off. As for a steakhouse it needs better quality ribeye or maybe it was just bad luck on the night Would we go again maybe It would nice to have Guinness on draught rather then the cans

Been here several times and mostly very good. Even seen Marco about 4 times who is really nice to speak to. However, we went on Fri 24 March 2023 and we were very disappointed. My wife's steak was seasoned with so much rosemary it was sent back. The replacement was as tough as old boots and taken back home for the dogs. We did complain at the time but nothing was done, they just said we're really sorry. Also emailed them and not had any response a week later. MPW, your name is on this one star restaurant and it gone downhill badly. Emailed several times and actually got one reply to say they will pick this up and requested details again of the issues. That was two weeks ago, its now 13 May and still no reply. This is a genuine complaint made by me who is disgusted with customer service and food quality at MPW nottingham. If you can, please pass this on so it reaches Marco.

Dinner at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse started well. The room is attractive, the welcome friendly, the tables generous and well spaced. The service was excellent, warm and friendly and professional. What was not so good was the food. My Cesar salad starter was a bed of the sort of lettuce which comes from a bag, no flavour and no crisp texture; a few bits of avocado added did nothing, neither did the mean helping of parmesan shavings and bits of anchovy and weak Cesar dressing. The egg was good. My steak was done properly, chips were good but my partner's fish and chips was badly let down by the key ingredient, a small and thin fillet of cod which was mean and dry and for some reason sat on a paper doily which got tangled with the fish. The cost of the fish and chips was taken off our bill, thanks to our server. It appeared to us that the kitchen is limited by centrally controlled and costed recipes not by their own skills.

It was a lovely treat. Nice food. One problem in my opinion was it took a while to orangise due to them not answering the telephone bad in that way.

We went for afternoon tea. Excellent service, very attentative. I only gave the food a 4 as I'm not that keen on mustard and horseradish sauce.

I have been here a few times with friends and the service/food has always been spot on! Shout out to the waitress Valentina for the constantly amazing customer service, she always makes the evening PERFECT. Would highly recommend!

Everything was 5 star. From the service,the atmosphere and of course the food!. Can highly recommend the Steaks, they even bring out a tray of different steak knives so that you can choose your own!. I thought it would be pricey but I was surprised how affordable it actually is.

Expensive but very good value for the price. A enjoyable experience with a good calm atmosphere and excellent service ( nothing was too much trouble). We didn't feel rushed. All the food we had was cooked to perfection. An evening to remember.

Our first time going and was an amazing experience! The staff (especially Valentina) were so attentive and amazing, the food was out of this world! Even down to free women products in the toilet - every aspect was 100% will definitely be returning!

Not great. The restaurant is an attachment to a casino, with all the associated noise. We ordered burgers, advertised as coming with various toppings including heinz ketchup. It didn't come with Heinz, you're thinking, ok, no big deal... Well actually yes, because it had an awful tasting ketchup on it. You only had to say, and I would have said, don't bother

Bloody awesone... Food was exceptional, as it should be for the price... Service was excellent, they even brought you a case full of knifes to pick for your steak, reminded me of Dexter the TV show, lol... Restaurant was beautiful and clean, staff were very friendly.. definitely going back in January for a treat.. 2 mains fillet steak, no starters or desserts, 4 cocktails and a bottle of water £100... But it was worth every penny...

This Marcos Pierre White steakhouse is in the local casino in Nottingham. It has a nice decor and atmosphere with very friendly staff. We started with the beetroot starter which was decent but the scotch egg had a very weird texture to the outside. The steak was large and we ordered a medium rare but it came out well done. Crème brûlée was not too bad.

Food was great Downside was I was ill about 90 mins after Service charge is added on to your bill of 10% and a charity donation is also added!

Delicious food. We had a steak to share and got the option of choosing our own steak knife which we both thought was kind of different. The food was incredible, and the restaurant was right next to the Casino so we were able to take our drinks through afterwards Highly recommend

Seriously need to change menu, been the same for years. Very lazy must restuarants change it at least twice a year. Not even got a different menu for New years eve. Very poor

The meal was fantastic. Fine dining is an experience because we could have cooked a Sunday roast that day but it would not have tasted as fresh as they did it and my word, the chef was on fire. Atmosphere was serene, the staff polite and very professional. We have decided to make it a tradition now and again to enjoy the fine things in life. This is no rehearsal. Unless you are 007, you only live once.

We had a afternoon tea, unfortunately the sandwiches were not fresh, and were warm, so had been prepared a good deal earlier. The atmosphere of the place was good, and would make a good venue, but I do hope the other meals were a little fresher.

First visit last night for my sons birthday with my brother too. Why I have never been before I do not know! The birthday balloon, table confetti and birthday dessert was a lovely touch. Nice ambience, great decor and art. Felt like a jazz club vibe. The service was outstanding, from all of the staff but especially from Will who served us. Attentive, friendly aged lovely sense of humour. The boys shared the 32oz Tomahawk steak which they said was lovely. I had the chicken and mushrooms. Delicious!! Drinks very reasonable. Will definitely be back. Made us all feel very special 😊

Disappointing. The service was slow to the pint of being embarrassing...the layout and seating choice was poor...no ambience. Interesting decor should have delivered more. The medium rare steak was more like medium well ... tasty though. Best part was price of drinks which was reasonable. Chips smelt and tasted good. Calamari starter was like something from Iceland.. the shop not the country... zero seasoning, limp, pallid , really small portion size...I think the restaurant trades on a name that fails to reflect the quality that is actually delivered.

The only thing I didn’t like about this restaurant is that it joins the casino next door via a shared bar. So the noise coming from the casino was a bit off-putting. The food was delicious. We had the fillet steak with garlic king prawns.

Located in a busy town but very accessible. Pre-booked a table. Great choices on the menu. The waiting staff is also very knowledgeable. Wine went perfectly with a perfectly cooked T-bone steak! Would go again...

What an outstanding dining experience! The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was intuitive and the food was sublime. I ordered prosecco and a steak with spinach, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce, served with chunky chips and a side order of onion rings. The steak was absolutely perfect, and the attention paid to every element of the meal resulted in a combination of flavours that really were next level. I look forward to dining here again!
