Certainly gone downhill since tge last time I went.

Had a great meal very good value and great quality! The staff + Melissa were super friendly and service was excellent definitely return, highly recommended!

Delicious food, great value for money. Good service and music too. I had the homemade tomato & basil soup for starter and my sister had the breaded mushrooms. For my main I had the 6oz rump steak with chips and a stilton, cream & white wine sauce. My sister had the ribs with chips. All courses were off the 1, 2 or 3 course menu.

Never disappoint me. Steak cooked the way I asked, ribs just the way I like them. Would recommend it to anyone to try.

Went with my daughters, had wonderful starters but had the ribs for main, absolutely disgusted, hardly any meat on the ribs ,unlike in the past. overloaded with sauce , a waste of money, never again.

Fantastic venue never disappoints

I’ve been a few times and the food is the best I’ve ever had in Notts when it comes to steak. However the service alone for my mums birthday was second to none. I nearly ruined her cake and they sorted it they carried it up another floor without it dropping. Separated our bills by taking our names, looked after my little nephew after boredom struck. I could not fault them if I wanted to. It made her birthday so so special and it was a big one as well!

Always visit Soulville Steakhouse, and our feeling for this place has never changed the food / service and atmosphere is outstanding and the staff are always welcoming and kind. Such a great place to have in Nottingham (they have a Chesterfield restaurant too). The food is always cooked piping hot and tasty, we've been more times than I can remember, Valentines/Christmas/Mother's Day/ When family come to visit or just popping in for good food. This restaurant serves the best steaks with speedy service no matter what time of the day you go! This is our fave restaurant in Nottingham town centre!

Fabulous staff service my Daughter and partner joined my husband and myself with their 3 week old daughter staff were attentive during our visit and stay. Food was fabulous and the atmosphere second to none. Thankyou Glenys Success-Wilson we will all return again very soon

Great Food and Service, really helpful when you have a young person in your party,steaks great and staff allergen/intolerance aware, as some in our group were gluten/soya/dairy intolerant ,so no problems there.would recommend.

Fabulous food. Very generous portions and a sensible price. The rump steak was cooked to perfection. A hidden gem, that should not be missed. We have been here many times and the food is bang on every time.

My daughter granddaughter and myself went to Soulville Steakhouse this afternoon the food was excellent as on previous occasions staff excellent and the Manager fabulous a really hands on guy who supports his staff.

Having read some amazing reviews of this place, me and my husband visited on Saturday late afternoon. It was busy and we hadn't booked but they quickly found us a table. We both chose off the lunchtime set menu which was great value for money. I can honestly say it was the nicest steak I've ever had, cooked to perfection and the Stilton sauce was divine. There was no fat or gristle on my steak and I could have cut it with a butter knife. The staff were friendly, and very attentive. Service was quick and they asked if we wanted to wait for a few minutes before they brought out desserts. We did not feel rushed at all. We will certainly go back next time we are in Nottingham.

Fabulous food and a relaxed environment with plenty of interest for music lovers - will definitely visit again next time I’m in Nottingham.

The food was amazing 100% the young staff was great 😊 and very friendly . But I can honestly say I’ve never meet a RUDE manger like the one that served us today (sherif ) I think his name was . I have no idea how he has a mangers job there he needs to go and do a customer services course etc. 😞

What a fantastic place and with perhaps the most professional and tender staff I have met in a long time. All were a credit to the industry. The table had decorations on it for my mums 70th birthday and a happy birthday blackboard- I didn’t ask for this so was such a nice touch. The food and mood of the place remains authentic to the Motown mood but guess what… the flaming juke box wasn’t working- the reason why I brought my 70 yr old mam to the place was so she could press the buttons and lose herself to the music! Noted later though when we had overstayed our welcome that the juke box miraculously started to work ( 2.30 table booking but still there 6pm)- such a shame! Keep the juke box working whilst the business is open would be my suggestion. Sometimes people are invested in simple things like listening to music and come descent distances to do so! Other than that, super food, mood and attentive staff.

Booked in for 15.45....in time for the set meal selection. Absolutely excellent,the food,the staff and the vibe of the place. It's been on my "places to eat" for many years and only just got around to booking in. It definitely didn't disappointed and totally exceeded our expectations. Lovely place, went here on a date and it was great. Service was good and the food absolutely blew me away. It’s nice to finally go to a steakhouse that knows what Medium Well is supposed to look like. It was also very reasonably priced for a full service restaurant.

The steak was good, the wings not so great and a bit overpriced. Worst was an extra beer was put on the bill. Mistakes happen but some mistakes shouldn't. Staff were friendly.

Approx 25 of us went for lunch today Christmas eve. We had pre-ordered our choices. The staff were excellent, the meals were served promptly and together, they called our names out when they brought the dishes. The meals were served hot and I must say that is probably the first time in a long while that I ordered my steak rare and it was served perfectly. When I was working we used to go there regularly for birthdays etc. but it has been a while since I have been there but after today's experience I will make sure I visit again in the near future. Many thanks to the staff for their excellent service and friendliness. After 50 plus years in the trade I am fairly critical of dining experiences but I must say this was one of the best.

If you want decent steak combined with fantastic music, this is the place to be. My steak was cooked perfectly, and I had a great night.

Fantastic service from start to finish, staff were friendly and polite nothing was too much trouble. My daughter was given some colours and on the back of the kid’s menu was a dot to dot that she completed and coloured in. Food was cooked fresh and it was lovely. Place was clean and tidy. A fantastic steakhouse in the centre of Nottingham. Really nice decor and atmosphere in which to dine. Staff friendly, efficient and polite. Steak was to die for, cooked to perfection with very nice chips and salad. Only criticism, maybe the peppercorn sauce is overpriced as an extra, However, a must visit if you like decent steaks.

Whilst looking for a restaurant for a Saturday evening meal, prior to going to the Theatre Royal, we found this gem on Tripadvisor. With only a 2 minute walk from the theatre, making its location idea. Booking online was easy and we promptly received a confirmation email. On visiting the Soulville Steakhouse, we were not disappointed - the staff were very friendly and attentive, the decor and atmosphere was superb, the Motown music was wonderful. Just a great place to eat at. Oh, by the way, the food was excellent, we both had steaks which were delicious and very reasonably priced. The whole Soulville Steakhouse experience was 5 star and we'd recommended it to anyone!!! It was so good, we've rebooked for our next theatre trip.

The building was beautiful but unfortunately the soul didn't seem to be in the food and definitely not in the staff 😓

Used to always be a favourite with family and friends and after Covid years thought we would give it a try again. Definitely did not dissapoint. The food presentation was outstanding, the steak and chicken cooked to perfection and all the trimmings on a special offer lunch menu. Offered the best meal and value in the whole of Nottingham! Lovely surroundings, good music, good food, exceptional service what is there not to like? Even the full price meals were excellent value compared to equally if not more expensive fast food plonked on your plate at plastic tables places. Impressed with quality and presentation Soulville Steakhouse - from a former, very faddy chef who believes in the importance of presentation and quality. Your chef was amazing thank you all for a lovely experience.

First time back since lockdown, NOT disappointed, we both had the fillet steak, wife had the 6oz, I went for it with the 12oz !!. Went here again for my birthday, and as always a wonderful meal for all. The fillet steak is just delicious and the service is great as usual. Really nice atmosphere, plus free jukebox always keeps my daughter happy too! Well done to all.

Great steak at a good price. Perfectly cooked with a tasty peppercorn sauce. Very good chunky chips. Attentive and friendly staff. Great motown music which creates a relaxed and upbeat ambience.

Would definitely recommend this place as somewhere really nice, my partner booked this as a surprise, and we were not disappointed, starters were just the right amount to not put you off ordering a main course. I'm very fussy about my steak, but spoke to the lady taking orders, and she bought out the perfect steak, my only criticism would be the onion ring, it was more better than onion ring, and my partners only criticism was that he thought it was tinned mushroom (although I really like the mushrooms!) Over all, I would say a 1% criticism, but it wouldn't stop me going back to try something different. Beautiful meal in a very relaxed atmosphere with good music 😊

Welcomed like family What a lovely evening , such a warm welcome. Food was fabulous , sirloin steak and salad and mash to die for...cajun chicken and lime both excellent. Very decent bottle of wine for a decent price and Kir Royales , what's not to love. Free Juke box was a great addition. Thank you for a lovely evening and even better music and atmosphere ❤️

There's been new Management and it's been a change for the better. Most tasty steak ever. Chips great, grilled tomato. Only gripe is that there was only one onion ring. Will I be back.... Just try and stop me x. Much prefer to Son Of Steak - how that has No 1 rating is beyond me as its more like a McDonalds but they bring the food over. Not great experience there - overpriced and mediocre food. So if you're deciding between the two, SOULVILLE all the way. You WILL thank me.

Overall disappointing in general the restaurant was grubby tired and a little neglected However the key concern was food quality especially the steak! Quality was poor and overcooked The rest of the food was bland and not of a quality to match the price As indicated disappointing avoid

We thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, both cooked as ordered. We especially appreciated the service by the manager Melissa & a young male member of staff, they were efficient, courteous & friendly. It is extremely good value.

Visited again and again we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was brilliant, helped by the soul records on the jukebox. The food was amazing, hot, nicely presented and reasonably priced. The service was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. This place is our no 1 place to eat in Nottingham!
