This was our second trip to the restaurant and our expectations were generally met in almost every area. The onion soup was full of flavour. The chicken meal although nice was slightly underwhelming in taste. The 12 oz steak was an absolute highlight ( be warned it is a lot to consume along with the soup). The sticky toffee was nice and as it was my partner's birthday they done a nice job with the sparklers I provided. The resturant was quite full with others using the groupon options. It would have been nice to give my partner a complimentary birthday drink. The champagne in the glass when it was first bought was slightly flat and had to be returned which was slightly disappointing.

Really mediocre, food was bland boring and all in all just bad. Service was the bare minimum and clunky at the best of times, sorbet was just ice cream, mousse was over whipped and ruined. Raspberry mojito was absolutely disgusting, mint was dead, brown and muddled so bits of mint kept seeping through the straw, cubed ice not crushed ice. Then the calamari came out, 5 pieces of calamari as a starter is very poor, and was served with a lime??? Garlic butter didn't taste of anything except herbs, no garlic whatsoever. No atmosphere at all, the playlist of music was so random and more like what you would expect in a bar or nightclub. How is this place still open?!? There wasn't a single good thing about it and it was expensive. Really poor and puts French food to shame, won't be returning that's for sure, so disappointed 😞

I have dined here on four occasions and found the first two to be excellent. However in September my husband and I had dinner and we both felt the food was well below standard but gave the benefit of the doubt that this was a one off. I dined here on the 25th with a friend and sadly the food was even worse than the time before. The Goan monkfish curry looked stunning on the plate but unfortunately the fish was dry, overcooked and lukewarm warm and the rice was equally tepid. I had no option but to send it back. My friend had the lamb which again was overcooked and dry and the portion was very small. I wonder if the food is pre-cooked off site and is then just heated up in the kitchen. Thank goodness the bread was tasty. On a positive note Daisy our waitress was very professional and extremely apologetic. I was very disappointed that the Maitre de did not acknowledge the issue before we left. Would I recommend this place to eat, no I wouldn’t. Serving food of this standard I can see why the hospitality industry is struggling.
