First time visiting here on Sunday and we loved it! The food was delicious, especially the pancakes. The price was so reasonable couldn’t have gotten better value elsewhere. The staff were so friendly, we’ll be back soon :) (the pancakes are huge the photo doesn’t do it justice lol)

Enjoyed our feast of pancakes! Good variety of pancakes, waffles, crepes and breakfasts. I was full after the 2 stack apple and cinnamon, my guest struggled with the 3 stack! Can't wait to visit again to try more!😋

This place is insanely good. Pancakes were some of the best I’ve had - big, thick, good portion of sauce, fresh generous amount of banana (I had banoffee ones). Price is incredibly affordable. Couldn’t believe what I was getting for the cost! Want to come back to try savoury side next. Good sized menu, lots of options. Friendly staff, good speed of service, standard small cafe vibe. 10/10 would recommend

Been here several times and never been let down! Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options! The gluten free pancakes were so good I had to double check they were gf! Casual atmosphere with fast and friendly service.

A costly pancake surprise: Battling egg allergies, we opted for vegan pancakes with milky toppings. The regular strawberry nut pancake was £7.40, while the vegan chocolate strawberry pancake, featuring Nutella, chocolate sauce, strawberry, and cream, was also £7.40. Surprisingly, requesting a vegan base led to a charge of £10, as the waitress included the cost of classic vegan pancakes (£5.60) and extras like maple syrup, Nutella, strawberry, and cream (£4.50). To add to the disappointment, the mocha lacked any trace of coffee. However, amidst the expenses and coffee letdown, the pancakes themselves were exceptional, offering a delightful burst of flavor and fluffy goodness. In the end, we spent a whopping £18 for a plate of pancakes, a wrap, and a coffee impostor, but at least the pancakes made the experience somewhat worthwhile.

Jo’s diner is lovely! Cute and quaint and perfect for a breakfast date. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food came out in good time and the pancakes were literally the best pancakes ever. Lots of coffee options too

I know great pancakes - my fave is The Original Pancake House in Anaheim, California. It is a high bar.No, Jo's can not compete. Overall, it was a decent American pancake breakfast. I know that my son would happily visit again.

Such a cosy caff with an amazing menu of pancake, crepe, sandwich and breakfast variations including plenty of vegan ones. Prices are great, good portions, too. You could eat here 3 times a day, no problem.

While visiting my daughter at Notts uni & googling for places to have breakfast, we came across Jo’s pancake house. If we hadnt googled it then I would have walked straight past as not much curb appeal & looks like a greasy cafe but so glad we came. We had different breakfast choices (veggie breakfast, sweet pancake & cheesy crepes) and all were so tasty, staff polite & pancakes are the BEST EVER ! Top that with the really reasonable prices & my daughter will be a regular from now :)

Heavily relies on students problem with that it can get really busy when open and staggering opening and closing times in line with students terms . Just like most things in Nottingham nowadays.

Affordable and great tasting food, friendly staff. Would love if they were open a little later since I usually have classes at that time. They only take cash.

Anyone find the potatoe? I thought the same instead it was more like mash mash potato. This was my microwaved small jacket potatoes and it was a mess! It tasted bland hardly any cheese! And the beans were the cheapest brand out there. I am not posting this to slate the place but in hope that they improve this as I enjoy going for other food. Pancakes are on the dryer side and could do with a good serving of sauce. Pretty to look at but sadly not as good as you hope it would be.

The BEST place for pancakes. Such good prices and amazing portions. A huge selection too - something for everyone. However it is a small place and it was always busy when I went (can’t wait to come back when I’m in Nottingham!). A bigger premises would be fab!

In spite of the covid 19 pandemic I delivered some of these delicious pancakes to a friend in Nottingham and restaurant went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful despite social distancing!

Popped in one Sunday morning. The pancakes are freshly made there and then. There is a wide variety of toppings and coffee is available here too.

Amazing service and quality of food x

Cold pancakes, tasted like they were cooked the day before. Always jam packed with students. Cooking smells in the seating area make you feel sickly.

Huge meals and every inch of them delicious

Arrived at 2:40 despite the website and times on the door saying it shut at 3. Were refused service and shouted at in a rude fashion by the lady serving despite the fact the people in front of us in the queue were served.

I have just returned from NYC and after trying various eateries for breakfast whilst in NYC.. none were better than this place for the fluffiness and great taste of Jo’s Pancakes- what a gem this place is. They have mastered the ingredients and style of their pancakes. I can honestly say that throughout my travels, these are probably the tastiest pancakes I have eaten anywhere in the world. 👍👍👍👍👍. 5 stars from me. (My poor photography skills really didn’t do the pancakes any justice )

Went on Sunday for brunch as fancied pancakes. After a Google and TripAdvisor search we drove to this little gem. Perfect greeting by the smiling lady behind the counter, ordered and paid for our bacon stacks. The food came out pretty quick and was hot and a BIG portion. The pancakes were amazing!! Best brunch in a long time and fantastic value for money. Cant wait to visit again!

Came in with my dad for a quick meal and ordered Blueberry Classic American pancakes and a gluten free breakfast; food was amazing and I unfortunately couldn't finish my pancakes (should have ordered a short stack), but they were so tasty. Would definitely visit again

I often bring guests to Jo's because the breakfasts are great value. This guest had been 2 years ago, and requested we return for Saturday breakfast. We were not disappointed. By 10a.m. there was a small queue for the door to open, and we were lucky to be third. We ordered breakfasts with tea and took our seats. By now the queue reached out the door! Two teas arrived soon after, and we didn't have to wait long before our plates arrived, full with bacon, egg, sausage, beans, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. Delicious. Total charge about £11, including the tea! Nowhere else comes close on price.

I think the pictures say it all, great food, good portions at reasonable prices can't ask for more. Oh and super friendly staff!

If there where did stars this place would get it. Tasty pancakes, waffles, crepes available at decent prices. Never had any of the breakfast but they look good to. Cup of tea for 80p! Very popular with students and the locals so best to turn up earlier rather than later especially at the weekend. It's not high cuisine but it is tasty and homely. Enjoy!

Soooooooooo good. Tasty & fluffy & huge. The all day breakfast was massive and only 5.90 with free tea. Beware, the portions are very big. This has just become my favourite breakfast place

Amazing pancakes! Attentive service, didnt have mayo and went out to buy it and brought it to the table (super nice). Fantastic english breakfast and really nice milkshakes! I WILL come again. Lovely interior design as well! Oh, and execellent value for food! Highly reccommend

First visit, breakfast treat for my girls. It was busy, we got a table as most people were buying food to take out. Service was good, pancakes were tasty and a good size. So many options and oreo milkshakes went down well with the girls. Will definately return.

Food was Lovely. However, the way the staff spoke due to a previous review of ours was not professional in any way. Advertising as gluten free when it is not is disgusting and i study Nutrition so I do know. Gluten free implies you cater to celiacs, which clearly you don’t and if eaten could make someone extremely ill. Please re evaluate your Menu. Thank you

Don't advertise that you do gluten free if you prepare it all in the same place. It can't be gluten free then, you should've learnt that in your training. Take it off your website, it's a blatant lie and you ruined my friends birthday since she can't eat your food. She's crying now.

Really fancied pancakes as a birthday treat and certainly wasn’t disappointed. Everything we had was amazing and that good we have returned twice since. Glad it’s not round the corner or I would be in there everyday! Fantastic staff, very friendly and food top class and perfectly priced. Even got free tea with our breakfast!

We had an Oreo milkshake, an all day breakfast pancakes and a waffle with Nutella, whipped cream and chocolate chips. All three were delicious and had very generous portions, especially considering that it wasn’t very expensive! We will definitely be back again.

The food was delicious, but the place is way too small for its popularity and the layout isn't conducive to a crowd. When you're standing in line, you're crowding around customers who are eating. And when you're eating, the customers in line are crowding around you. To get water you have to break through the line. You also have to bus your own tables. Orders are not served together - our items and drinks were all sent out one at a time. Table wasn't clean and my chair was broken and therefore very uncomfortable. Would recommend you do takeaway or delivery, as you'll have a much more comfortable experience in your own home.

Dropped into this little cafe/pancake house by accident really. Looked like a greasy spoon cafe. Boy was I wrong! Best pancake breakfast I've had outside of the USA. Great food, great value and great service. Highly recommended. What a gem!
