I’ve visited this restaurant many times for lunch and have always had a good experience with both the service and food. However, my dinner visit for my birthday was extremely disappointing. As a group of 8, we repeatedly asked for tap water at least five times, but our requests were ignored. It felt as though the waiters were prioritising older customers, likely because they would give larger tips. The service was subpar and unacceptable, especially for a special occasion like a birthday dinner. I would strongly advise other big groups of young professionals to avoid this place for dinner, the service clearly isn’t a priority unless you fit a certain profile.

Went into this restaurant early evening 11/03/2020 with a group of friends for a 50th celebration. I ordered the Hamburger when it arrived I was quite surprised on how unappealing the Hamburger was. The burger was being losted in an oversized cracked burger bun and the smallest piece of lettuce and tomato, I'd get a better looking appetising burger at Burger King, On cutting the Hamburger in two it was pink inside, I requested if I could have a burger without it being pink inside. When the burger was given back to me, with no words spoken from the waitress, I was disappointment that the burger was the same burger that I had cut and was in a worse state than before, the burger bun was crumbled on the burger obviously they tried to take the burger bun off with little success. The cheese was on the side and the chips were cold. Obviously no care had been taken to rectify my issue, but just to be put in the microwave! I decided against eating my food and left it. To top it off the service wasn't the best, I ordered a pineapple juice which never arrived and I had to ask for it again, the waitress did alot of stretching over our food and drinks which was not very pleasant. This was my first visit to this restaurant and it will certainly be the last. The only good thing was the chocolate brownie. I decided against complaining as I didn't want to spoil my friends evening but like I said before I will not be visiting again. The table tops are wood with grooves in which I noticed crumbs throughout looks like they needed a good vacuuming with a nozzle!

Once again, we left very disappointed. We waited for over 30 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. My partner's starter came cold and way too spicy (which was not specified in the menu at all) and my whitebait didn't taste very fresh. The main courses were very underwhelming and pretty bland. Overall, the service was slow and disjointed. We only left a tip because the service charge was automatically added to the bill but didn't feel it was fully diserved.

Very welcoming, It was valentines day and very busy but despite that the food came out very quick, I had to rush to go work so when our starters came out we asked for mains to come out straight away. Can't stand the smell of truffle oil and the fish had truffle cream in so asked the lovely waitress who served a few questions and she was very helpful, I went ahead and ordered the fish dish and enjoyed every mouthful. My husband loved his Duck à ĺ Orange. And dessert was ever so sexy(Tarte Tartin), yum yum!! Perfect 2for1 cocktails and a glass of champagne to go with meal. Thank you front of house for your service and mostly thank you Chefs, such beautifully cooked meals.

They made recommendations and we were pleased with most of our food. I had a rump steak which was spot on. My wife had the chicken Diane but found it was too crispy on the outside and the potatoes were hard. But the middle of the chicken breast was enough for her to eat so she was ok with the meal. Gia was our waitress and was great with a pleasant smile and great service which made us feel welcomed. Thank you Gia.

We were waiting 30 minutes for drinks orders, the food came before the drinks! The waitress didn’t use a notepad for taking orders (she came back to double check our mains) and our dessert orders were wrong. As I have a nut allergy this could’ve been very dangerous! we went for my son's birthday, the food was lovely, service was fine, but my daughter in law booked it because there was a 30% off deal. we were directed to the parts of the menu that were included in the deal and we ordered accordingly, when the bill came we were charged 100%, on questioning the bill we were made to feel like grifters. There is a mirror behind the register and the two serving staffed looked at eachother rolling thier eyes and looked at us making us feel really awkward. Either there is an offer or there is not we should not have to be made to feel bad for asking for the discount to be applied. This really tainted our experience, it didnt ruin our time together, but it did put a bad feeling on the day.

Had Christmas Day lunch , WE FELT RUSHED , apart from taking our drinks order we had had no interaction before had food bought to the table (there had been no need to remember what you had ordered as each place had a card with a name and your order on which was good organisation) but we had to ask for the food to be held back as we were waiting for 2 more quests to arrive and we wanted to eat together The guests were literally 4 minutes over the booking time. We had to pretend to still be eating to avoid having courses straight on top of each other, literally no opportunity to let each course go down. Had worse Christmas Dinners but still a bit disappointing for the price but we did pay the 10% service charge which was on the bill as the servers worked really hard, I suspect management had required them to get diners in and out as quickly as possible.

Works Christmas dinner for 16 people. Promptly seated and all our food we had ordered were on little cards for each person, a nice touch. Now I'm a coeliac and eat and drink gluten free. Waitress came over for drinks, amazingly, no gluten free beer option...really? She didn't even seem to understand what Gluten was to be fair(I don't drink wine, or much else, so it was Coke tonight, not a good start) Next starters came, Welsh rarebit, part warm part cold, first given to the wrong person, told it was gluten free option, but nothing to say it was or wasn't? Main course was the Turkey dinner, again the gluten free dinner given to wrong person, and guess what, to make it gluten free they took items off the dinner to make it so(and charged the same amount for it)so I actually had a smaller dinner to those who had the similar dish) My colleague had the fillet steak, which he couldn't eat as he said it was really terrible(they apologised and offered a complimentary drink(for steak) even though they said the chef said it was a poor piece of meat(the drink wasn't taken as he though that was insulting) The desert was creme broulee which to be fair was fine, and I had another coke. To round it off, the bill was around 700 pounds with a service charge and my boss paid it(more fool him and the company that was paying) because it didn't deserve it. So to sum up, if you eat GLUTEN FREE OR YOU ARE COELIAC DO NOT EAT HERE. I wouldn't recommend it and I wont be back.

Good venue and staff, but very basic food, poor pub grub and badly cooked. Main course was described as Duck, but what arrived was a very salty cottage pie, the type you would buy in Aldi for £1.99. Dry bland and definitely reheated from frozen. Another meal was steak which wasn’t in any way cooked. vegetables were again reheated from frozen. Christmas pudding desert was cold and in no way cooked. Overall a very odd meal costing £31.95 each, made from cheap ingredients, found it impossible to understand why they get any positive reviews?

Really mediocre, food was bland boring and all in all just bad. Service was the bare minimum and clunky at the best of times, sorbet was just ice cream, mousse was over whipped and ruined. Raspberry mojito was absolutely disgusting, mint was dead, brown and muddled so bits of mint kept seeping through the straw, cubed ice not crushed ice. Then the calamari came out, 5 pieces of calamari as a starter is very poor, and was served with a lime??? Garlic butter didn't taste of anything except herbs, no garlic whatsoever. No atmosphere at all, the playlist of music was so random and more like what you would expect in a bar or nightclub. How is this place still open?!? There wasn't a single good thing about it and it was expensive. Really poor and puts French food to shame, won't be returning that's for sure, so disappointed 😞

Short review: Incredibly delicious and high quality meal, and satisfying portion sizes for the price Long review: Came here with my girlfriend for a special meal we had planned for some time. We chose this place because of the glowing reviews, although it looked to be at a price point higher than the places we normally go to. We were greeted by a friendly waitress Caitlin, and decided to order some bread, olives and Chorizo as starters to share. The bread was clearly freshly baked, still warm with a crispy crust. It was a decent sized loaf for 2, and came with a soft garlic butter, which was lightly salted and very tasty. The olives were a mixture of a few varieties, which tasted fresh and high quality, and the chorizo was incredible. We got 5 house made small chorizo sausages, which were lightly charred and coated in honey. These were incredible on their own and with the bread, and the honey balanced the saltiness of the chorizo and olives perfectly. Together these came to about £12.50. I would especially recommend this combination, particularly the chorizo. For my main, I ordered the duck breast, and my Girlfriend had the 8oz sirloin. The duck dish consisted of a large whole duck breast (which was offered pink or well done, so I opted for pink), a square of dauphinoise potatoes, a poached peach half, a red wine jus, broccoli, hazelnuts and chicory, costing a total of £23.95 (this was one of the more exoensive options, with some ofbthe cheaoer options costing £15) The duck was cooked perfectly to my liking. The fat was not as crispy as I would usually prefer, but was still rendered down and was soft rather than chewy. It was very juicy, tender, and had a complex flavour. The dauphinoise potatoes were lightly crispy on the outside, with a creamy soft texture I'm the inside, with a hint of onion and cheese. The red wine sauce was very savoury with a nice saltiness, and when paired with the duck and some of the peach, made for the perfect bite. The vegetables were cooked slightly soft in he middle, with a satisfying crisp on the outside. Allong with the crunchy nuts, this added some textural variety from the softness of the duck, peach, and potatoes. Would highly recommend this dish for anybody else considering going The sirloin steak came with a small metal basket of fries, and a generous helping of melted compound butter over the steak. She ordered hers medium rare, and told me that it was perfectly cooked for her. The fries were thin and crispy, with a generous amount of seasoning, and the butter made it even better (because it's butter, and you can never go wrong with adding more of it). This also cost £23.95 For desert, we each had the Creme Brulee. It arrived in a much wider ramekin than usual, meaning we got a large area of the sugar layer. A scrape with a spoon showed that it was perfectly torched, with a glass-like feel. The spoon cracked very satisfyingly through the layer. The custard tasted perfect to me, with a good balance of sweetness and vanilla. The sugar has a great snap to it, and had a subtle bitter note that tied the desert together and stopped it from feeling overly rich. Easily the best creme brulee I've had, and would highly recommend. These got £7.25 each. It is also worth mentioning that our waitress Roi, as well as Caitlin, and Duarte who greeted us at the door all gave us excellent service, and appeared genuinely friendly. Roi in particular seemed very friendly and genuine, and made us leave feeling very happy with the whole experience. Besides the food and staff, the atmosphere and decoration was cozy and calming, with a lot of interesting things in the walls to stare blanky at while savouring an especially good bite. Could not recommend this place enough, even if the price is higher than the places you are used to.

Group of us went in for lunch and had a pretty average experience. Chilli seemed to overpower the Avocado on Sourdough and the coffee sadly seemed to have no caffeine in it. Service was friendly however. One of those experiences where I wouldn't complain but probably wouldn't go back either.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Bistrot Pierre in Nottingham to celebrate their 30th birthday. We were invited to experience their special nostalgic menu, and it was a delightful evening from start to finish. ❤️ The moment we stepped in, we were captivated by its charming and cozy atmosphere. The decor beautifully combines modern elegance with rustic touches, creating a warm and inviting setting. Their special nostalgic menu truly highlighted the best of French cuisine, celebrating 30 years of culinary excellence. We highly recommend visiting during this celebration week to indulge in their exquisite offerings - 3 courses and a 125ml glass of Cuvee selection 30 for £30 ✨ Entrées: We started off with rich and earthy Mushroom Sourdough and creamy Baked Goats Cheese. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and served with complimentary freshly baked French bread and butter. Plats: For our main course, we chose the Caramelized Onion and Brie Tart. This dish was a standout, with its flaky pastry, sweet caramelized onions, and creamy Brie. It left us wanting more. Dessert: We shared the Cafe Gourmand for dessert, which included a trio of Crème Brûlée, Tarte au Citron, and a light Madeleine sponge with vanilla ice cream. Each component was a delight in its own right, and together, they provided a perfect ending to our meal. Overall, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Here's to many more years of wonderful dining experiences. 🥂

Can I suggest trying the Mushroom Sourdough starter for £7.50? This consists of a small slice of sourdough bread, a light brown sauce and in my case about 3 strips of fried mushroom. The menu says, shiitake mushrooms. Note the use of the ‘s’ suggesting a number of mushrooms. The truth was there was hardly any shiitake mushroom at all! No wonder vegetarians get frustrated when they eat out.. The entertainment started about halfway through the the meal, when a young guy wearing a baseball cap arrived off the street. For about 5 minutes we were subjected to a rant about ‘finding God’ and repenting our sins.. One part of me suspects this individual had been served mushroom sourdough on a previous occasion..

Never again! Steak was overcooked and chewy. Sticky toffee pudding, which is usually made with dates, was a shop-bought Madeleine (oval-shaped sponge cake) with a trickle of treacle and a teaspoon of vanilla ice-cream. This used to be a top-class restaurant.

Really enjoyed eating here. The food that came out was very nice (I had steak) and all the waiters and waitress's were super friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly too which is always a bonus. Only two small gripes we had was the tables being so close together and the portion sizes of the food were on the smaller size

This was our second trip to the restaurant and our expectations were generally met in almost every area. The onion soup was full of flavour. The chicken meal although nice was slightly underwhelming in taste. The 12 oz steak was an absolute highlight ( be warned it is a lot to consume along with the soup). The sticky toffee was nice and as it was my partner's birthday they done a nice job with the sparklers I provided. The resturant was quite full with others using the groupon options. It would have been nice to give my partner a complimentary birthday drink. The champagne in the glass when it was first bought was slightly flat and had to be returned which was slightly disappointing.

Wasn’t sure what to expect with a hotel on a University Campus. Having last been on campus 20 years ago it was all quite a surprise The menu suits a wide range of tastes and budgets from burgers and pizza to miso cod and venison. Perhaps a little confusing regarding the identity of the restaurant. A little lacking for vegetarians. The food itself was delicious and flavoursome (with the exception of the apple and white chocolate which was overly sweet and overly green). Ambience pleasant. Reasonably priced. The staff are wonderful and Marie is a total dream of a hostess. Fun, kind and attentive. Would recommend
