Petit Paris in Nottingham

This was our second trip to the restaurant and our expectations were generally met in almost every area. The onion soup was full of flavour. The chicken meal although nice was slightly underwhelming in taste. The 12 oz steak was an absolute highlight ( be warned it is a lot to consume along with the soup). The sticky toffee was nice and as it was my partner's birthday they done a nice job with the sparklers I provided. The resturant was quite full with others using the groupon options. It would have been nice to give my partner a complimentary birthday drink. The champagne in the glass when it was first bought was slightly flat and had to be returned which was slightly disappointing.

Tired decor, disappointing menu. Cooking was very average and food did not look appetising and was not well seasoned. Steak was dry. Chicken tasted like fish. Veg was limp and unappealing. Only ok thing was chips. Our waiter was quite aggressive and seemed to have no interest in the food or being welcoming. It felt like a racket, not a reap restaurant. All round this was not worth the money or time.

My daughter had been here recently and liked it so, with relatives visiting us in Nottingham, we booked a party of 6. Very impressed! Easy to miss as the restaurant is on the first floor, with only a small entrance downstairs to betray its presence. Nice, attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere. We're in London a lot so the prices were a very pleasant surprise, including the wines. Good portion size and lots of choice. Reminded me a lot of Cote - solid, tasty French dishes at a fair price. However, some of the Petit Paris dishes were a definite step-up; my wife found her "minute steak" superior to the Cote version. My only real criticism at these prices is that the chef was a little heavy handed with the salt - the sauce with my hake bordered on too salty and a couple of other dishes did as well. Definitely a real find in the very centre of Nottingham and we will certainly return.

Love, love,love Petit Paris. Personally recommend the beef, but I dont think you'd be disappointed with whatever you chose. Some good meal deals and there's always the Groupon option too which is great value for money. Do it, you wont be disappointed.

Petit Paris never disappoints. Always amazing food with fabulous service. Consistently one of the best restaurants in Nottingham.

We went using a Groupon voucher. Staff were professional and service was quick. Food was perfect in every way. I will definitely be back soon. I never travel into Nottingham city centre, but will make an exception for this restaurant.

This was our second time visiting this cosy little restaurant and both times everything has been superb. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Can’t wait to come back next time we are in Nottingham.

Lovely welcome, lovely food (exceptional food) - we visited in February for a pre- Theatre meal and cannot fault this restaurant. Great food, efficient and friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

I have never had a meal in a French Restaurant before. My wife decided to treat me to a birthday meal and decided to take me to this place. Although I have nothing to compare it to, this is of one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was exquisite, the place was lovely and cosy and the service was exceptional. I want to give a shout out to Zack Smith our server. He was helpful honest and even helped correct me with my poor interpretation (bourguignon). I cannot cannot wait to go back to this place again.

Your doubtful it can taste as good as its being contained and transported to your home and you feel you may loose some of the taste and experience of their delicious food. 100% Wrong ! I've been there with my mother for lunch. Absolutely stunning meal! Went to Petit Paris on Saturday with my partner and daughter and once again the food was perfect. I can’t recommend it highly enough. My partner and I both had the Moules / Muscles for starters and I can genuinely say they were the best I have ever had. My other half had the minute steak and frites for her main, which she said were fantastic and I had the lamb shoulder, which was beautiful. My 6 year old daughter had the tagliatelle with bacon and mushrooms which she wolfed down and loved. The service was great and it was unbelievable value for money. We only had one dessert between the three of us as we were all full, but what a dessert, the profiteroles with salted caramel ice cream and toffee sauce were stunning, and just about the right amount for the 3 of us. This restaurant just gets better and better all the time.

My first time in Petit Paris. I'd walked past a lot of times but decided to book to eat there before going to the theatre. We were met by friendly well dressed well mannered staff. The restaurant was clean and our table was well set. We had Suppe du Jour, and Petit Paris salad, followed by Lamb shoulder and Lasagne, Then Chocolate and orange brownie. I liked the way the food was served and it tasted great. I look forward to coming back in t8he future.

We came as a treat as family live all over the world, we had told them of this excellent french restaurant that we had been to before. However that was a few months ago. We were greeted by a fantastic team of waiting staff which is probably one of the only reasons that I’ve given it this rating. The waiting staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating to our needs however, Our visit today revealed unfortunately lacklustre feeling of satisfaction. The steak that we had was quite obviously frozen and quite flavourless, the fries which accompanied it was actually the frozen fries which you can buy at Tesco and they were slightly undercooked. The ratatouille was also burned on the bottom of the aubergine and slightly overcooked, truly a shame since they have a very great waiting staff

Found this restaurant on Groupon. I was a little hesitant to book a table, but read a few reviews and decided to go for it. I was not disappointed. One of the best meals I've ever had. The food was beautiful. I had the muscles, duck and ice cream, I can't fault it. Our waiter, Matt was extremely professional and welcoming. If we didn't live so far away, I would go back regularly. My friend and I visited this restaurant after being recommended it by a close friend. We can honestly this place was very nice to visit and that we will definitely be coming again. The service and staff were great especially the blonde waiter (M) who kept checking up on us to make sure that our meal and our drinks were up to our standards. 100% a place to go when in Nottingham!

Staff went above and beyond to make sure my family were looked after. My Grandad suffers abit with his eyes and they looked after him brilliantly. The food was great snd the restaurants it self was nice and clean. Had a great time and will be sure to be back.

What can I say, both fillet steaks cooked to perfection. So much food, I struggled to eat it all but was delicious. Very much a hidden gem. Would highly recommend ❤️

Having found this hidden gem and Trip Advisor reviews we popped in to arrange a booking for 16 to celebrate our son and daughter in law’s wedding. The bonus is, the restaurant is only minutes from the City Council Offices/Registry office. Matt, the manager, could not have been more accommodating. There is a small dining area off the main restaurant and that could comfortably sit our party. He came up with some suggestions and exchanged numbers so we could liaise directly as we only had 4 weeks to the wedding. The afternoon before the wedding we dropped off the wedding cake, balloons and decorations. On the wedding day Matt and his team decorated the room (and even blew up balloons for us). Normally the kitchen closes for a couple hours mid afternoon ahead of evening service; the chef agreed to stay on as we booked for 1.45pm. The service and food was superb. Wedding guests were impressed and complimentary. We spent over 3 hours in the restaurant!We would like to send thanks to Matt, Francisco and the team for making our family wedding meal a memorable event.

Visited for an evening meal - we had been to sister restaurant Paris many times but thought we would give the original a try..Very pleasant ambience, really lovely staff and great food(we couldn’t manage our dessert & like a few other diners, had to ask for a doggy bag to take it home!) I’ve deducted one star as I had the confit duck & thought the accompanying apple chunks & huge dollop of red cabbage were overly sweet & not particularly well presented - I enjoyed it but think it could have been better…other than that, a great experience & we would definitely go back!

My husband and I returned to celebrate our wedding anniversary 16 years after our first date at Petit Paris and had a lovely evening. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes, in fact disappointingly I didn’t have room for pudding.The staff are friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend a visit, we look forward to a return visit sometime soon.

We chose the venue for our monthly get together, six of us. I decided not to have a starter so dived straight in with the smoked haddock and crab potato, the portion size was good, not too big but enough. The haddock was cooked to perfection in fact I would go so far as to say the best haddock I'd ever tasted! The mashed potato was delicious as well, it had small bits of crab in it. We had vegetables with this which were also cooked perfectly. My friends all enjoyed theirs too. Can't comment on desert as I was too full to have one! When you come in the place look a little cosy and relax. Been there for a pre-show meal. We was having dinner last Saturday with family and was impossible how busy the place was and still giving the best service.
