This hidden gem of a sushi place is an absolute delight for any sushi enthusiast. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and a genuine passion for the cuisine they serve. Every bite is a revelation, a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. The chef's meticulous attention to detail is evident in every piece, from the delicate arrangement to the carefully chosen garnishes. The menu offers an impressive variety, catering to both sushi connoisseurs and newcomers. Whether you're a fan of classic nigiri, sashimi, or daring specialty rolls, there's something for everyone.

A minimalist Japanese restaurant tucked away in a hidden alleyway in Nottingham, Kushi-ya offers creative small plates and skewers. The cheesecake was exceptional - an explosion of flavours with a perfectly firm and crisp crust. However, the tuna was underwhelming, lacking flavour and suggesting that the quality of the fish may not match the premium pricing. While the overall experience was enjoyable, I agree with some reviews that suggest the restaurant is somewhat overhyped, especially considering the abundance of similar establishments offering comparable quality at more competitive prices.

Freshly cooked food spoiled by general grubbiness. A visit to Yo Sushi is never cheap for us, but it's a treat and so never a problem. However, I get irked spending a large amount of money to eat in a dirty booth with food all over the floor (mentioned on seating but not dealt with) whilst worrying about the amount of dust and grime that might be falling into food prep from "jauntily" placed wall design, not cleaned since installed and then all topped by having to visit to very nasty loo. We won't be treating ourselves at Notts Yo ever again

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant this afternoon for the bottomless option, which includes a time limitation. After waiting for approximately 40 minutes, we were shocked to discover that the sushi and sashimi we ordered had not been served at all. I therefore have a suggestion for Sushimania Nottingham: if you cannot afford the costs associated with offering a bottomless option, it is better to discontinue this service!!! Will never come to this restaurant again, zero star for the service quality!!!
