Absolutely beautiful breakfast, fantastic portion size, felt really full! Lovely teacups and teapots, excellent affordable prices. It is cosy and homely, feels a bit like going to a good friends house for tea. If you order a large pot of tea you get a really good sized pot! Staff were friendly and sweet. Vegans are very well catered for with no fuss. 10000% recommended

A fabulous Saturday brunch. Great selection of food and a tasty cup of tea. The Crocus breakfast was, apparently, delicious and my tofu and pickle sandwich went down a treat. What more could you want?

Food was very tasty and enjoyable. It is nice to know that the food is saved, so that there is little to no waste. Some dishes were harder to share as they were small, so you do need quite a few plates per person. The plates were also quite expensive on a student budget for what they were/the portion sizes. The venue is quirky and cosy. Lots of art for sale on the walls, and nice wooden tables. However, it seems to be a converted house and so it very much feels like you are eating in someone’s living room. It’s not really restaurant-ish, or cafe-ish; more like having picky tea while visiting your nan’s house (with added strangers). It’s a unique vibe, really authentic, and independent! A good place to support in Lenton.

Crocus cafe catered our civil partnership party which we had at our home. They provided an amazing Mediterranean vegetarian/vegan buffet for nearly 100 people. I can't fault them. From communication, tasting, set up, organisation, delivery, price and of course the food, it was all fantastic. They had to work in my own kitchen which is obviously not industrial standard but they managed perfectly. The guests absolutely raved about the food. Really grateful to you guys, wonderful job and a wonderful organisation.

This is our favourite vegetarian eatery with its fairy lights, mismatched crockery, green walls, rustic wooden tables, shop area and a piano! Always come away feeling well fed, rested and happy. Menu is relatively small but it's all very well executed. My favourite is the Mezze, a super selection of falafel, salad, pitta, hummus, seeds, pasta, veggies etc. Always a sight to behold! Cakes always look very tempting but alas we haven't had the room to try any yet! Most definitely worth a visit.

Visited for an early lunch on a cold and blustery April day. Lovely, quirky, nicely decorated, small, but perfectly formed vegetarian and vegan eatery with rather lovely wooden tables, window seats and mismatched vintage crockery. Menu is not huge but then it doesn't need to be - definitely recommend the Mezze - fans of the (now closed) Green Way Cafe, Matlock will like this dish. Also boasts fabulous artwork for sale, a small shop area at the back selling food items, toiletries etc and a piano should you feel the need to give the diners a tune! This did happen once on a previous visit and it was great! I even like the toilet with a chequerboard tiled floor and pet and dog visitors photos (it is a dog/animal friendly cafe) on the back of the door! Do go if you're in the vicinity, you won't be disappointed.

Crocus cafe is a great place to eat, but also so much more. We went for brunch and had a great veggie breakfast, but what I enjoyed most was the sense of community that they foster. The notice board was covered with poetry from locals, and there were lots of adverts from community groups and ways to get involved. The cafe is not run for profit, and the only disappointing thing is that I didn't discover it before I left university. I think places like this are very important, and it would be very beneficial if more of the student community got involved and cared a bit more about the local area. Only wish I still lived in Nottingham so I could go more often!

A pleasant place to have lunch, or coffee and cake.I think it is also open on Thursday in the evening but have never been.It is in run-down small 1970s shopping precinct. The cafe has an extra attraction as it ( and subway close by ) were used to film scenes in the Shane Meadow's film This Is England and the area was location for Andrew Haigh's remarkably observed film Weekend.Last year Crocus Cafe appeared to be sinking with limited opening hours so it is great to see it flourishing again.

We visited this vegetarian community cafe run by volunteers. The decor was cosy & there was a friendly atmosphere with several other tables of diners during our visit. The menu consisted mainly of paninis & salads eg halloumi & goats cheese, with a couple of hot specials including samosa with wedges, homemade dips, pitta & salads & a veggie lasagna. The food was delicious, portion sizes were generous and the most expensive dish on the menu was £3.99, we will definitely be coming back!!

A community cafe that is just revitalising itself. I was the only one dining, due in some part I am sure, to the fact that this is the first time the cafe has opened on a Monday. As well as a range of appetising salads the only hot choice was Spanakopita - which was served with salad, potato salad and a very flavoursome coleslaw. Very good indeed, cooked and served by volunteer staff which leads to an unbelievable, absurd cost of £3!!! YES £3 for a vast plate of food. I'll be back.....

We had a lovely few hours in Turtle Bay Nottingham. I am on crutches following a hip replacement and Adriana was absolutely fabulous. Helpful, bubbly, knowledgeable and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or waitress. We’ll be back 😊

Just left this lovely little restaurant. First night back open so very quiet. My husband and I both had boneless jerk chicken, rice n peas, slaw and festival. Food comes in sharing portions. Small but so very tasty. Also very filling. I really recommend a visit. The staff are so lovely and friendly. Thank you Mae and team xxx

Excellent staff and service, cocktails were fab, for me the food let it down a little as my expectations were high after the great service we received but left feeling full which was great. Overall 4 star

Most disgusting food i ever have. The owner and staff of the shop show pathetic behaviour here. They dont know how to deal with customer. They also misbehaved with delivery riders. Not recommended anyone.

This is my second time ordering from this takeaway and this time I was very disappointed The chicken dumpling hardly had any chicken in it which tasted more of curry than anything else the very small portion of ackee and salt fish left me disappointed and the rice and peas was just bearable No point in pre-ordering your meal as it will come later anyway
