Gurkha Chilli in Mapperley: Worth the Little Wait for THIS Food! So, we treated ourselves to a takeaway from Gurkha Chilli in Mapperley the other night. There was a bit of a wait, but honestly, after tasting the food? No complaints here! The starters were banging, just so good. The paneer shashlik was something else. Seriously flavourful, tasted really fresh, and seasoned like a dream. I could have eaten it all night! And the momos! Oh man, I've been wanting some decent ones for ages, and these hit the spot big time. Pure comfort food. Having them with that awesome paneer shashlik was just a great combo. The service was really friendly too, and the price was spot on. Big thumbs up to Gurkha Chilli! We'll be back for more for sure. If you're in the Mapperley area and looking for a delicious takeaway, you gotta try this place.

Very polite service, the guys went through the menu with me and my son, i try new dishes very tasty, they even exchanged one for me. The service was excellent. We be back again.

I flew all the way from Australia to England just to eat at this restaurant — and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the aroma alone told me I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cosy and refined, with warm lighting, friendly staff, and the kind of buzz that comes from a kitchen doing everything right. Now the food — incredible. Every dish was a masterclass in flavour and authenticity. The butter chicken was rich and velvety, the lamb rogan josh fell apart with a spoon, and the garlic naan was so perfectly blistered I’d come back just for that. Spices were bold without overpowering, and everything tasted freshly prepared with real care. Special mention to the house-made chutneys and the mango lassi — both unforgettable. You know a meal is extraordinary when you’ve crossed hemispheres for it and are already thinking about your next visit. If you’re in the UK (or even if you’re not) — make this place your next destination.

Visited as a party of four. I honestly can not fault the place. Food was delicious and the staff were nothing short of excellent. The best dining experience I've had in years. Wonderful place.

No dejes que te desanime el exterior y la decoración interior, la comida es fantástica. Paramos en la posibilidad de obtener una mesa, el lugar estaba vacío. Pedimos bebidas y para ser sincero casi salimos. El lugar necesita urgentemente actualizarse. No lo hicimos y decidimos pedir, no esperábamos que la comida fuera brillante, pero para ser honestos, así fue. Buena comida a un precio razonable, qué más se puede pedir.
