The best restaurants serving Indian food in Nottingham East Midlands

Ordered food here a few times and they never fail :-) the curried doner is a personal favourite of mine, great deals also. I'll be back

The place is really nice and have lots of food options to choose from. We all went as a group and had a fun time. Great service. Would love to visit again.

Las comidas no eran nada especial y un montón de salsa con poca carne, aunque caliente - cerveza de barril que no era tan sabroso como de una botella, un ambiente cálido, pero un restaurante local en el borde de una urbanización. Los precios se comparan con un buen restaurante indio en la ciudad. No hay prisa por ir de nuevo.

We visited from Birmingham for a birthday meal. We were accommodated earlier than our reservation. Right from entering the restaurant we were greeted with a warm welcome. The whole experience was amazing. Food was authentic and delicious and atmosphere was very ambient and relaxing. Amazing service by all in this family run business, especially Annie who was very helpful with suggestions on what to order and looked after us. Overall an amazing evening thoroughly well enjoyed.

Ate here for the first time after being recommended by others. I had the set meal for £14.95 and had what they recommended. I would normally order poppadoms with pickle tray, lamb tikka masala madras hot with pilau rice and peshwari naan. This time I had the hot meat starter, a spicy hot chicken mince with chicken pieces main, egg fried rice and their traditional naan. It is not something I would have normally of ordered but I enjoyed it. I rate the starter 5* this was very tasty and i would order it again. I rate the main curry dish 4* it was tasty although I did not like having mince meat in an curry and prefer solid meat. I also would have preferred a bit more curry sauce to dip my naan in. I rate the naan 4* it was very tasty with all the spices the only downside is that the metal tray it is served on causes the naan to become a bit wet and soggy because the naan is hot. I would have also of liked my naan to be a little more crispy. I rate the egg fried rice as a 3* this is because It felt quite heavy in texture instead of light and I would not normally eat this with an indian curry. I also had a coffee i rate this 4* it was nice and strong, with fresh cream. Overall I rate this restaurant 4* out of 5, the customer service is great they make you feel very welcome and the prices are very reasonable. In the future I will have to try my traditional indian order and leave another review.

Absolutely amazing food authentic Pakistani and Indian food. According to the waiter they had 2 head chefs one from Pakistan and the other from India. Service was impeccable. A must visit.

The owner should teach the staff the importance of customer service please 10 people on the queue only one staff was serving and she is also not bothered. some of the customers left the shop . please treat the customers with respect

I went to this local legend of a place and this place never lets you down. The samosa, Pakora, Chutney and not forgetting the Salaam cola was all good.10/10.

I travelled 25 minutes each way to collect this takeaway after recommendations and reviews.. WoW what can I say the food was stunning fresh, hot, soo flavoursome I have already recommended to other family a friends it is well worth even if your further away. I will be back again very soon 👊🏻

We have had another great experience at The Kayal. The service is so friendly and you are always made to feel that your custom is inportant. Mahe, our waitress, is wonderful and we will return. Till the next time. Thank you.

The currie tilapia is spicy and delicious. We also had creamy and mild chicken stew. Yummy. Try the mango lassi. It's so good. The service is excellent, a special mention for Mahee who was helpful and attentive.

When we entered the restaurant the guests were predominantly white (about 95%) and immediately this set alarm bells ringing as evidently Asian/Indian clientele do not rate their own type of food in this establishment to attend in great number (compared to a competitor restaurant about a mile away, Tipu Sultan, which we visit regularly). We visited for my birthday as a special occasion. Food lacked spice and flavour throughout. Extremely disappointed when this restaurant is meant to come with such high credentials and ratings. Your parent company being Mem Saab would suggest this should be a high quality restaurant i did not wish to make a scene at the time and complain, but this was a joke of a restaurant and we will definitely not be revisiting.

This place is amazing, food is delicious, full of flavour and the best duck Bahari and nan breads ever. Lamb chilli fry is exceptional also the onion bhjai and plenty of vegetarian choice. Could not fault any dishes. The service was exceptional, staff so attentive but not intrusive and made our visit welcoming. The restaurant is spotless, has many tables, all were full throughout the evening so this place is defiantly recommended to book. Prices are average, a couple of dishes were more expensive but you pay for what you get, we would not have an Indian meal anywhere else. You will not be disappointed.

No dejes que te desanime el exterior y la decoración interior, la comida es fantástica. Paramos en la posibilidad de obtener una mesa, el lugar estaba vacío. Pedimos bebidas y para ser sincero casi salimos. El lugar necesita urgentemente actualizarse. No lo hicimos y decidimos pedir, no esperábamos que la comida fuera brillante, pero para ser honestos, así fue. Buena comida a un precio razonable, qué más se puede pedir.
