Food tasted good but it was ice cold Felt like it came directly from refrigerator like leftovers And even if they made it that day and given it from refrigerator you would expect service to be faster but they made us wait for 20 minutes just to serve that ice cold food especially that paneer was so hard that i would need a hammer to insert the fork in it Please hope you guys are seeing this review and correcting your mistakes Let us know when you get better because like I said the taste was good

I absolutely despised this place that I used to love before. It has become absolutely dreadful now. Last time, I made the mistake of trying their chole bhature. The chickpeas tasted as if they were leftovers from the previous night. And to make matters worse, it was sickeningly sweet.

*EDIT: I came in the restaurant to “TAKEAWAY THE FOOD I ORDERED”, also the reply was a useless attempt to cover their scam of selling leftovers since it definitely wasn’t fresh (even after reheating this disgusting food you can taste this is not fresh and is made with old oil; I’m pretty sure that cold chicken left on display for hours is a safety hazard as it becomes a source of bacteria that is harmful when ingested even if it is reheated in the microwave afterwards (btw their online menu advertisement is very misleading as none of the food is properly made). THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY LEARN FROM THEIR COMPETITORS LIKE “KARAK CHAI”, “CHAIIWALA”and “The Urban Rikshaw” on how to make proper Indian food that doesn’t taste disgusting. (Btw if it’s not a takeaway then why do you have a website to order food online??) |takeaway definition: “a restaurant or shop selling cooked food to be eaten elsewhere.” REVIEW: I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant. First of all, the price doesn’t match with the quality. All of the food (worth over 50£) was greasy, stinking and cold. The chili chicken and chili paneer were very oily and greasy (they were not fresh and they probably served us leftovers). The papri chaats were made from some OLD oil as it was oozing out of grease that caused me nausea, 80% of the boxes were filled with cold boiled potatoes and it didn’t have any topping whatsoever other than some yoghurt on the top that was probably put in to cover their scam (the food was way different than what it was advertised in their online menu). The Naans and vegetable pakoras were also not fresh and were probably leftovers from the day before. Almost all of the food had to be thrown away as they were not fresh and were very disgusting. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! Would definitely not recommend to someone that wants to eat some Indian food.

Great selection of food available, gets busy which is always a good sign.

Friendly staff, nicely refurbished and my wife says the bread pakora is to die for. She's wanted to go here for the past 18 years and we finally made it! The on-line ordering system is useless. Never receive a confirmation email, and the food is never ready on time. Better to phone in an order.

Love their veggie and lamb Samosas

Must visit place venue to grab True Authentic Indian food, cooked fresh, take away. You won't be disappointed with the choice and flavours. Proper Indian Authentic food and sweets. Great service, take cards, parking available outside or across road at Asda. Expect to wait a little due it's popularity and time it takes to prep some dishes.

First time there, grateful food and friendly service definitely recommend.

My family members and myself have been to this place several times especially during lunch and they have a great variety of Indian street food for takeaway. I've tried samosa chaat, Papri chaat, Aloo Tikka, Paneer Tikka Wraps, Seekh Kebabs (Chicken and Lamb), samosas, pakoras and various curries - all of them were delicious. I would recommend coming here for grab-and-go lunch if you are working nearby. It is on very busy road and parking can be problem although plenty of parking spaces right opposite this place at Asda car park

Absolutely brilliant food. Service is wonderful and personalised to your needs. Couldn't rate Bombay Deli higher. We have used them multiple times for parties and gatherings and it's always spot on. Keep doing what you're doing

False advertisement from menu " butter chicken loaded fries" to what you actually get. Its more imli sauce No chicken or curry gravy... Appalling and dishonest!!

It’s a great Indian food And test like a real Bombay food

bought the onion bhaji and pakora. they tasted like they was made yesterday. the bhaji was far too big and was raw in the middle. normally quite nice

"A really good real indian shop, i feel everything bit salty though." (This was my review 5 years ago. Feel like yesterday, this is not the case now, salt is perfect now) But, For this Diwali I bought few sweets yesterday from here as usual and I notice the ratio between Kaju (Cashew) and Sugar of Kaju burfi are getting changed, it is getting in to more sugary. It may be my taste buds getting too sensitive to sugar. Still it is my go to shop for real Indian sweets and takeaway in Nottingham for last 9 years.

Great food, really friendly staff. Only allowing two people in at a time, which is good. Oh and you really need to try the new apple pie samosas 🍏😋

Excellent all round , probably the best we have ever had, nearly tried everything now thank you.

We got butter chicken loaded fries and a big box of barfi from here. The fries were so tasty and really spicy. Need to come back again. The barfi was good quality and although we didn't end up liking some of it, that's down to personal preference and nothing to do with the shop. Will definitely be back again at some point for the quality food provided with excellent customer service. Thank you guys 🥰💜

The food is absolutely stunning and consistently so. Have been going here since I was a kid. We love the veggie stuff in particular. My daughter loves the goan fish curry and I am a sucker for the somasa chaat! However, the service is very slow and disorganised. We have regularly left the queue and gone somewhere else. My advice to the owners is to look at flow through their premises. The poor flow means that the staff always seem in a bad mood and can be short. We have also used their catering service a few times now. Again, the food is amazing and our guests always love it! There portions are very generous so make room in your freezer as you will have leftovers to enjoy on another day. However, again the service is disorganised - no receipts given, no address asked for despite the order was being delivered. I was asked to go into the store to pay and the person behind the counter didn’t know what the total was. I felt like I was being a nuisance when asking for confirmation. Things missing when the order arrived. Fortunately, the negatives are outweighed by how amazing the food is.

Food is nice but you could’ve add less spice to the onion bhajis & chicken pakora for those that can’t hack spice..

Long queues are always a good sign, unless there is a hidden gem. This place had a long queue on a hot day. Really enjoyed our food, which was Papdi Chaat. Lots of choices of traditional Asian sweets. Will definitely be returning.

Perfect food will use again A****

Been here for years, ordered bulk amounts of samosa’s for work, but not in the last couple of years. Visited recently to the refurbished shop. Great selection, staff and service and very very clean. However it’s become very expensive. Also recently bought onion bhaji’s and chicken tikka, both were overcooked and dry. The samosa’s were lovely, but lacking the chilli heat they used to have. Will visit again and hope food is not so dry and I know you sometimes have to pay extra for quality, but after most recent visit we may have to go elsewhere.

Nice enough proper non halal food for once! However it is more expensive nowadays.

Had the samosa chat which where the samosa was half warm half cold. For 7 pounds not value for money but also nothing more than average. The stuffed chilli was tasteless and the pakoras soggy.

Only been open in Bridgford a short while and I’ve been back numerous times! Friendly staff, exceptional authentic food. The area has been crying out for this!

Visited the new place at Westbridgford for the first time, it was busy during lunch time and there was only one young female (wearing glasses) serving. A few people decided to leave and not wait because service was so slow, we had to wait for over 30mins just for a basic samosa chaat. As always with many Indian restaurants they have such grand ideas but the execution is poor. The food is nice but I would say over priced for the amount you receive. The service leaves a lot to be desired, the young lady serving everyone could do with a personality transplant. She was cold, unfriendly and not someone you would place at front of house to serve and greet customers, that is unless you don’t expect them to return. One customer paid a lot on a large order and could see by her body language that she was not very pleasant at all. He said thank you I will return again and she didn’t respond, he looked at us on his way out in disbelief and said, how rude. Also some customers that dined in were ordering meals for lunch but they were provided with the food in two boxes. So the curry came in one box and the rice in another box, we watched people trying to mix the food from one box to another to eat their lunch it was the most bizarre thing we have ever witnessed. Why on earth were they not provided with the food to eat as one would expect from one plate/box! Lol She was very rude and not talkative to any customers at all. So first impressions, food okay, service slow and staff unfriendly. Obviously many of the positive and slightly biased reviews are from family and friends. The best samosas, arguably not, if you want the best samosas in Nottingham I wouldn’t go anywhere else other than Adnan’s in Forest Fields, Berridge Road. All of the food was not labelled as the previous review suggests, we had to continuously ask what was what in order to buy the food we wanted.

Great quality food served by friendly staff. There is a wide variety of interesting sweet and savoury snacks and dishes. Best to order in advance (a day before if possible) as this is a very popular place, and rightly so.

Perfect place to buy you snacks and nan bread for your curries, traditional Indian food and snacks.

I'm sorry but the price for a take away Daal, gobi and 4 samosas (almost £18) blew my mind. Cheaper in a restaurant and the service wasnt even good either, woman on the phone whole time, no smile, no thank you. I must have been away too long because it never used to be that overpriced and family were courteous.

Wow. It was like home away from home. Great food, savouries, and sweets. Just yummy.

Bombay were recommended to me by friends after trying their food at a party a few years back and it has been my go-to place ever since. They always deliver on quality and taste without fail, along with the friendly team, I simply can't recommend them highly enough.

Love the service and especially the chocolate samosas.

Was recommended by a friend to visit. Kamal was really polite and answered all my questions. The butter chicken is on point and the rice is very flavorful— cooked to perfection. The samosas are clearly fresh, though the Bhaji could’ve been fresher. All in all very enjoyable!

The salmon was lovely as was the tikka chicken The onion bhaji was brill enough for 2 on a meal it was not greasy which you normally get with other takeaways The samosa was crisp and well filled - superb The sweets were super and I think will go down really well

I ordered Chole Bhature and bread pakora and to be honest I've been in UK from past 1 and a half year, Never have I ever had so good Indian food in this country untill I went to Bombay sweet, they greet you so nicely are friendly and the food it so good, the owner was so nice he offered me a sample of Aloo Prantha, I loved it, I literally felt like home and it made me think of my mom how she makes so delicious food. I would 1000% recommend going to Bombay Sweets if you want to have delicious Indian Food.

My friend would buy me samosas and spring rolls from here and I could not believe how good they were. It's a must try. Definitely the place to go to get some food with great flavour. Highly recommend anyone in Nottingham to go here.

Went in for samosas and came out with about 5 other things. The samosai were awesome and the Manchurian was the best we have had. The alloo tikki chaat was another star. Will Def be stopping here again!

Drive into Notts just to go to Bombay Sweets. I'm plant based, my boyfriend is Omni and there is lots of fabulous choices for both. The staff are always 100%. Great place, great food. Highly recommend the butterscotch bark. The hint of chili at the end is devine. Definitely a new favourite!!

Whenever I'm in Nottingham I always make a little detour to stop off at the Bombay sweet center on my way home. The menu is amazing with something to please everyone. All of the food has so much flavor. The samosas are out of this world!!

And can not believe I have never been here before!! The place was lovely and clean with all the food and treats out so you can see it and honestly we was spoilt for choice. We went for the Hakka noodles with the bang bang cauliflower a couple of vegetable Samosas and also the Nutella samosas for after and I can’t even tell you how nice this was. Really flavoursome and lovely and hot we was also served by a gentleman who was lovely and friendly and recommended certain bits for us as we are vegetarian and there’s soooooo much choice. Attended a birthday party yesterday where Bombay Sweet Centre & Curry House were providing the catering. Awesome food and great service from the staff. Will have to include their takeaway on a "must call in" location on my trips to Nottingham.
