Love the food from this place....always really fresh and tasty. We have a takeaway from here every week as its so good....highly recommend this place....

I’m on holiday with a friend and didn’t know what to expect. This is such a lovely friendly place - while we were waiting for our food the gentleman on the desk was so friendly with the customers coming to collect. He accommodated a special request with my order and was so nice and helpful. Plus the food was delicious and great quality. Thank you! Sad that we live in Sussex otherwise you’d be our favourite takeaway xx

Bhuna Methi Gohst one of the best for depth of flavour and texture-tender chunks of lamb-highly recommended. Had Gobi Gosht before - similar but with cauliflower florets in sauce-equally recommended.

Visited Chai Roti for the first time last night. The welcome and service was friendly, engaging and informative. To top all of that, the well priced menu was matched by the delicious and generous portions of food that we ordered. Thoroughly impressed and will be returning for more soon.

Meh. The decline in the external appearance of this takeaway has been matched by a decline in its food. I went there recently as a treat, for the first time in years, but was disappointed. The food used to be top-notch, worth 5 stars, now it's mediocre at best. Clearly Chai Roti has suffered not just over the lockdown, but with the opening of two new eateries in Bramcote shops. I'd be surprised if it lasts out the summer. A shame, as there's no other decent Indian eatery outside of Beeston centre.

Excellent authentic takeaway. I had a lamb dish which was beautifully tender and tasty.

Thoroughly satisfied with the last three meals from here. I travel a few miles, food has always been ready to collect at the 20min estimate. Portion sizes are fine I've tried the chicken haandi, bhuna and saag all of which were nice; the samosas are lovely too. Yum

Great service and delicious food at a great price! We have tried lots of different dishes here and have enjoyed them all, fresh and full of flavour.

I live very near to this amazing place. I have been thoroughly underwhelmed by a lot of takeaways in the Wollaton area but I’m happy to say this is not one. Orders are completed normally within 20 minutes so perfect for a last minute dinner idea. The food is always hot and plentiful but so well done it reminds me of the ill fated spices on Wollaton vale. The only way I’d say it could be better is if it delivered but that’s not going to decrease the score I give it.

Food tasted absolutely terrible, oily , over use use of onions , cheap veg in meat starters and not fresh as claimed. Please taste your own food before serving it to the public.

Visited here towards the end of lockdown as we were driving past and thought we would try it. Ordered 2 chicken mains and garlic naans. From ordering to takeaway took about 35 mins but it was worth the wait. Food was nice and tasty and at a reasonable price. My wife is quite fussy and she enjoyed her chicken saag main. Starter was well made as well. Overall a good experience and will probably use again. Tables had been removed did you COVID but the decor was good and simple - mimicking Indian street style which seems in fashion at the moment.

Slight delay in food but not an issue, chap apologised for this as ordered off menu. Food was superb, beautiful taste, nans breads fantastic 4 very happy people.

Ordered a Chai Roti after watching the final game of the season, which was pretty unbelievable. However, not nearly as good as our takeaway. Had the Gobi Gosht which was excellent. The garlic naan was large enough for two!! but I managed it!! A four person order came to around £40 and the food was very good and lots of it. Came with complimentary poppadom and pickles. Used to order from Park Tandoori but Chai Roti is streets better (albeit Park Tandoori was good). Would definitely recommend it.

We ordered a curry to celebrate my daughter’s birthday as we couldn’t go out to eat. First time we have ordered from here and I can honestly say it’s the best takeaway curry we have had. Food was fresh, full of flavours. The vegetable pakora was fantastic. I highly recommend ordering from Chai Roti you will not be disappointed.

Phoned order through. Took 40 mins which I expected, so fine. Food good, portions plentiful. I had a lamb dish which was 100% meat, no fatty bits. Wife had a chicken dish and there was lots of it. Had a garlic and cheese naan which was large enough for two to share. Good job I didn't have rice and a naan as that would have been a challenge. Order came to £40 for 4 people. Added 4 poppadoms and dips free. Would highly recommend it.

Had a big order on Xmas eve as the kids were over, can’t believe we have not ordered from here before as we are 5mins away!! The food was lovely! Every curry we had tasted good and fresh! The rice and nans were good also! Looking forward to when we can order again!

Had the best take out from here, rang up and asked for exactly what I wanted, I like abit of a kick to my curry and being a veggie it’s sometimes hard to get, but this exceeded all my expectations! Defiantly recommended and will 100% be ordering again, Thank you so much for the dish recommendations.

Our second visit and as expected it was as phenomenal as the first. Girlfriend loved it too and shes hard to please!! Can't fault it in the slightest - everything was delicious. Very friendly customer service too - Brilliant! Looking forward to our next order already

Overall, food is a hit and miss every time we order. Food is average, isn’t anything special for the price. The naan bread either has pieces of charcoal attached, undercooked or over cooked. There doesn’t seem to be any medium. The rice is usually ok, it’s a small portion but will do for two. The chicken dishes usually have three to four pieces of square chicken. They charge for extra cheese in Naans. This is something to be aware off as it’s not stated in the menu nor advised. Seems overpriced for what it is. Jades Garden a few doors down is a winner overall.

An absolutely delicious take away. Leading class! It’s traditional but modernized - just what Nottingham needs! Can’t wait to work our way through the whole menu. We are so lucky to be local to Chai Roti

It was the first time having food from here, and it will be the first of many. Would highly recommend. The best Indian takeaway I've had. The food here was lovely, good sized portions, great flavour, the onion bhajis we had were huge. The service was fab, and the owner is very friendly and clearly passionate about the business. We live in Beeston, and they do not deliver there but i would happily collect rather than order from anywhere else. Thank you for the lovely food and kind service.

I’m not usually one to go for Indian food but this is by far the best I have tried, I will definitely be returning! Not only is the food some of the best that I have tried, the owner and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend!

I love Chai Roti, I go there as often as I can and order their chicken karahi which is rich, tomatoey, base and a fragrant of chili peppers, coriander & ginger. A Highly skilled chef in the kitchen with a wealth of experience. Extensive menu. Very knowledgable owner give excellent service.

After experiencing some dreadful curries lately, to the point of giving up, going for an Indian this was truly amazing.It was one of the best we have ever had full of flavours and spices and plenty of chicken.

Chai Roti is our favourite takeaway bar none. The flavours are vivid and fresh and ingredients top notch. I hope the business thrives: they deserve to, given the quality of their cooking. Plan for £12 each for poppadoms, pickles, rice, naan and main course. Try the gobi gosht and chicken haandi.

I get a rash all over, most people can’t sleep after they’ve eaten it, very thirsty, headaches, and you wake up feeling like you’ve got a hangover as you’ve not slept properly. Viniendo de Birmingham, la casa o el curry, no esperaba que esto fuera tan bueno como lo era. Teníamos un plato mixto de parrilla que era muy sabroso y algunos curry. El pollo de ajo en particular estaba delicioso! Los naans eran frescos y esponjosos y se mantenían calientes hasta llegar a casa. Definitivamente regresaría cuando visite Nottingham nuevamente

Really awful meals. Ordered three different curry’s, each one a very gloopy , vivid sauce which was inedible as absolutely disgusting. Complete waste of money as it went in the bin . So, disappointed.

Had food last night from there. Their place is beautiful but not the food, chicken was not properly cooked, portion size was very small according to the price. I ordered tawa chicken and that was not tawa chicken what I got from them, because tawa chicken doesn't look like that as I am a food lover so I even know so many curries how to cook them. I gave them 2 stars just because of their place was clean but no star for food. Sorry.

Peshwari naan era encantador. También tenía Mix Grill. Todo sabía fresco y con excelentes sabores. Definitivamente los volveré a usar y también los recomendaré a otros.

The worst takeaway I have had in my life, this was supposed to be a chicken jalfrezi. It was a bland thick sauce with pieces of chicken with skin still attached needless to say I did not eat it

Would love to comment on the food but as they have no online menu I went down there last night, it took them 10 minutes to speak to me only to tell me there was a 30 minute wait for takeaway food. My Chinese was lovely from Jade Gardens

One of the best Indians I’ve had - very nice flavours, the pashwari naan is amazing very authentic. Shame they don’t deliver but in all honesty if they did I’d probably order from there too often ;) owners are great very friendly and always willing to cook things specially if they’re not on the menu.

Just went in after work for a take away, good food, large portions and friendly staff, yes I did wait a little, it was Saturday evening so a wait for food, not long and worth it, great pieces of chicken in a smashing sauce, and the naan bread, well will go again soon.

Excellent takeaway, very fresh and tasty food

No menu online - rang them up, they read the menu, we ordered. Went to collect at the designated time but the food wasn't ready, then they had forgotten some of the order. Could have put up with all of that if the food had been as good as expected based on other reviews. We ordered too different lamb dishes, but i reality they were indistinguishable and very bland. Don't intend to return - perhaps I was just unlucky.

Great quality food with a varied selection to meet everyones requirements. Peshwari naan is a personal favourite as well as the chicken dansak if you don't take to spice well. The take-away itself is very inviting with a modern, edgy feel to it and the staff are always friendly and polite. A speedy service with great food, couldn't recommend more.

A great takeaway. We love starters and Chai Roti will adapt almost any dish to your preference. The food was terrific and about on a par with most takeaways for price. Nice place to also wait for your meal with plenty of comfortable seating.

We really enjoyed our takeaway. Everything was beautifully cooked and there was plenty of food. I especially enjoyed the Peshwari Nan bread and the onion Bhajis but all the food was delicious. We would definitely order from them again.

Unbelievable food, we go here nearly every week, and actually will be going up this evening! Beautifully cooked, flavour is incredible, big pieces of real good quality meat, no layers of oil. Best Indian food I've ever had in my life, and not just your typical takeaway dishes, Chai Roti have a real home-style menu which really sets it apart from a standard takeaway. We are lucky to have Chai Roti literally on our doorstep. Worth every penny every time.

Friday night is curry night for us and Chai Roti provided excellent food. We have a mixed bag of tastes, veggie, gluten free, born to be mild, some like it hot etc. We had a range of dishes, all well prepared and tasted great. Very nice waiting area for the take away, with friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

The portion is surprisingly large for an Asian appetite, however, the food is fantastic and I don't mind spending extra money for quality Indian food. Definitely goes into my list for excellent food

This has become our regular go to place for a Curry. Definitely recommend it, the food is not too oily like you get in other curry houses. And the staff are beyond accommodating, I fancied a curry that wasn't on the menu and they made it without a fuss and it tasted great!!

We've just had another fantastic meal from Chai Roti. The food here is always of an extremely high standard, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the premises are pristine and the food has always been ready at the time we've been given. We can't recommend it highly enough.

The ambience of this takeaway is lovely. The Sheekh Kebabs and Desi Prawn curry was loved by my teenagers. The Punjabi hot chicken curry was an eye watering experience. I am definitely coming back again.

A great take away. The staff are very friendly and will cater to any special requests with issue. Better still the food is excellent and you can "taste the freshness". We are truly lucky to have such a good local takeaway!

We have been to chai roti about 20 times since it opened, we really really love it! The curry tastes so fresh and the lamb is always really tender and not fatty at all. We would recommend the lamb saag, jalfrezi or handi, but pretty sure all the varieties of curry are just as tasty.

I've eaten here a few times and it's really excellent. The decor in the Indian minibus style is cool while you wait, other people always seem happy to be getting food there too. I've found the service excellent, the food's very tasty from veggie/dahl dishes to more meaty things. The staff are all lovely too! Highly recommended.

We have eaten from Chai Roti several times and between us have had a fair few of the mains. All have been brilliant. The food is amazing I can't describe how tasty it is. Very worth a take away. I'd say it's one of the best takeaways you can have.

Chai Roti is the best Indian I've been to for a long time, the extensive menu is great and the staff very accommodating (even keeping our fish and chips from the nearby Cods Scallop warm (big family variety of tastes!)). The good is cooked fresh so expect to wait 15-20 mins, so either phone ahead or do some other shopping in the excellent local shops. Food is pricey for a takeaway but I feel well worth it and better than most restaurant food.
