Gurkha Chilli in Nottingham

Good food, nice people. I keep coming back for the biryani.

This was our first experience here, we booked for 3 meals. All were ready on time, lovely friendly staff greeting us upon collection, big smiles 😃 the food was beautiful, very very tasty, I travelled 10miles to come here and it was definitely worth every mile, we’ll be back next time we want an Indian meal. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fancied a change and tried Gurkha Chilli last Saturday after usual checking reviews for different takeaways. If you are doing the same in reading this post then I can save you some time and suggest you order from here right now, this was possibly the best takeaway curry I have ever had, certainly in Nottingham. I am a big foodie and would say I am a good judge, our food (Balti & Korma - always start by judging the classics) tasted fresh and everyone agreed after their first mouthful it was amazing, a million miles away from those generic flavoured and soulless curries, you know the ones…… I can’t wait till next curry night to try something different.

Just finished our first meal from Gurkha Grill, a Munch Box it was great we will be having food from here in future.

The food was ok,didn’t get much lamb with my main. Naan was beautiful. But charging £1 for a popadom is insane.

I definitely like to order from this place, however lately have been noticing the food is quite oily and momo (which i still love) they are broken..taste little different than before..i think u guys really need to give continuity to how your food was before, a little disappointed but will still order to see if any changes have been made !

Wow where do I start. We had a munchies box and it was literally incredible. Such a great range of food and the perfect amount for 2 people. The owners are so lovely too! Really really recommend!!

My favourite restaurant for the tasty chicken momo (dumpling) and would highly recommend their food. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

Great munch box.. size and portion great for me and my partner… the taste was nice meats cooked perfectly. Only downside was the biryani sauce was more tomato based then I would off liked an the rogan Josh lamb and chicken wasn’t as flavourful as I want was again little more tomato based missed that little punch that a rogan Josh would normally have.. but price an quantity quality you can’t go wrong… box alone is an amazing Deal.. Happy New customers

I would definitely recommend Gurkha chili! We ordered shankar’s special with lamb & chicken tikka dhansak. Both of which were gorgeous & all the sides were lovely too! We will definitely be ordering again!

We'd just like to say that after we had our first disappointing GK, we came back (we always would have done) and the food was back to the deliciousness as it previously has been. The Sherpa was gorgeous, along with the chicken puri :) thank you

All food was really nice although dissatisfied with the Gurkha special as advised chicken, lamb and prawns but did we did not see any prawns or lamb

I was wondering if there was a new chef(s) in place at Gurkha Chilli. The reason I ask is because the quality of our order has really gone down in quality. For example the Chicken Lawabdar was our favourite, it was so succulent with tomatoes and now the sauce is smooth and the taste is not like it was in the earlier part of the year. The Shankar's Special Chicken Curry was without the potent chilli on top, the taste is a shadow of it's former self. Even the lime pickle and the onion side which you get with the poppadoms isn't the same. I really hope that the flavours come back and it doesn't blend in with other mediocre takeaways. My partner and I are huge fans of this place and we were so let down by the most recent take away. I comment when it's amazing, so this is a painful review.

The staff are wonderful warmest of workers! My meal was nice and spicy just how I like it I recommend the garlic chili naan the best I've ever had I will continue to order from them on a regular basis as my chosen Indian food in this area Give it a try! It's well worth it!

We don’t order from here very often due to the high minimum order, but when we do it never disappoints. Everything was so fresh and tasty and still lovely and hot. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommended, authentic Nepalese food.

We ordered here for the first time tonight and can safely say, we’ll definitely be ordering again! Our new favourite - the flavours are amazing and it all came hot! They delivered by the promised time which is why we stopped going to our usual as they just couldn’t meet delivery expectations and were always at least 30 minutes late but it was a blessing in disguise as we have found better in both taste and delivery times by ordering from here!

Very polite delivery driver. Shankars Special curry was excellent but the prawn Karahi and the fish balti were a bit tasteless. Fish a bit soggy too. I’d like to try again and be blown away next time

Nice rogan josh. To much rice not much curry itself so kinda dry really. Onion bhargie not bad not much taste but oil . Chicken tikka taste more like pork so off putting. Probably won't order from here again as I hate pork weather it is or not tastes very similar. Please check your chicken??

Food was an hour late, only update we got was just the "it's delayed" message through just eat. When I called the restaurant no apologies about the wait, no apologies for the delay or anything extra thrown in when it arrived.

first time using them have great reviews normally I use woodthorpe Tandoori but fancyed a change...ordered at 19.09 delivery was between 19.50 & 20.10 not a problem as on call at 9 so had a job to go to ..then the fun starts get an update 10 minutes added then another update 10 minutes 2 hours later... trying to contact just eat is a waste of time food arrived as I was leaving unfortunately I can not comment on the food as when I got back breads were hard and curry didn't look appetizing so bin

friendly driver asked for a review: food was OK, nothing special. Hot curries not hot and no real difference between those 2 curries. No poppadoms with a £76 order? Friendly service is good though, quality of the meat was good.

Sauces were very tasty. Chicken korma was fabulous and no complaints. Unfortunately lamb wasn’t terribly tender in the other dish. Hasn’t put me off ordering again but may choose a chicken dish next time. Arrived quickly and food was lovely and hot.

Missing food and extremely late.

The driver arrived early, he had some difficulty finding my address tho with communication he found me, I blame google maps for not showing my address properly. The food looks and taste great is quite bland however, quality could be better if blended in properly, please guys learn how to make it like from back home, it did however have the right flavours.

I keep introducing people to this place and everyone loves it, simply one of the best in the city, everything's cooked to order and super fast delivery.
