Adnan Sweet Centre in Nottingham

Staple food place for Forest fields. The store has been around for as long as I can remember. The family that runs it has not changed, and the quality of their food has never declined. Their veg samosas and panini are absolutely banging!

Best Samosas in the world right here. Staff are lovely, always happy to help and accomodate. Prices are very good: Any Veg Curry + Rice = £5 Any Meat Curry + Rice = £6 Portion sizes are great, very tasty food.

Great authentic Asian food with excellent service. If you are looking for a quick bite for lunch or a full of flavour curries, this place is worth the visit. I would also always recommend getting one of there vegetable samosa. They are one of the best samosas I've ever had.

I left Nottingham and the UK for France 14 years ago and I still dream of how good those veggie samosas are. I try to make them but it's never quite the same. Nice family too, used to work with his nièce in the play centre. Best Samosas I ever ate in my life.

Looked up where to get best meat samosas in Nottingham. All signs pointed here. Ordered samosas in advance. Drove half an hour to get here. Parking was a bit tricky. Steady stream of customers coming through later afternoon. Noticed places to sit at a handful of tables to eat in but I was taking away. Staff were really friendly and after looking at what was on offer in the display units (there is no menu) I ordered a lamb curry and a chicken curry too. They were nice. The samosas were also pretty decent too. The meat had texture and weren't just paste. I found them a little too hot but I can't take much heat. Parents loved them. Also samosa contents were a bit wet but the next day were better in my opinion. The pastry was amazing. I paid 90p each for lamb samosas which were a pretty generous size and about £7 for large chicken curry and £10 for lamb. Would definitely go back and I'll just pick up some mint sauce too next time. Took a few photos with staff permission as I thought would be helpful for folk checking out the place like I did but there wasn't much recent info.

Can’t comment on atmosphereas had a quick takeaway, but the samosas and pakodas were tasty; especially the pakodas (I’ve found them to be undercooked in most takeaways). However, i haven’t given five stars because the man at the counter seemed to be in rush- and no smile- though there weren’t many people in queue, and did not include chutney or sauce with the takeaway; this should be standard. He at least should have asked if i wanted some. So i was left with dry pakoras to eat in the car on a wet rainy day with no sauce. 😒

It was nice and I’ve been here before but this time they had no menu or prices displayed in the shop. I worked out that a half Chan’s masala and rice small was £5.50 and that meat samosa are now 90p and veggie ones are 80p by maths interpretation not by itemisation. I found this a bit off putting as you don’t know how much things are going to cost. The food was great as usual. Just this can put off the less frequent and new customers who think there might be a dual pricing system.

I've been coming to this sweet centre, particularly for their amazing samosas, over the last 20 years and it has never disappointed. I think these are the best I've ever had and would highly recommend 🙂

Best samosas in town - added comment.......I now buy the uncooked samosas because it reduces the oil. I flash deep fry the uncooked samosas and then drain and transfer to the oven.

Stumbled across this place while working locally . Had a 50/50 rice chicken curry and veg samosa . Both excellent. Loads of other items avaliable , like pakora, chickpea curry , sagg aloo. Will be returning for sure .

Amazing, fresh desi food options. Drive down from Sheffield regularly. The same quality yummy experience every time! A customer since 2007. Thank you for being consistent with yummy options and enviable hospitality from staff. We missed the food during your refurbishment in 2022.

The samosas are about as good as you can get anywhere and are highly recommended. Worth a trip for the vegetable samosas alone. Though they are not complex - but they are not meant to be. The curries are standard Indian fare imo and are good. They are not complex nor especially remarkable - just home style cooking, easily matched at home if you have the time. £9 for a meat curry is actually expensive. I have sampled a chicken curry, chick peas and dal and thought they were ok.

Came here because someone recommended the chicken wings which was full of flavour but after standing in line and seeing everyone ordering the samosas I decided I’d order some and I must say they are the best I’ve ever eaten.

Would genuinely go as far to say they sell best Samosas anywhere in Nottingham at least and definitely the best Samosas I've ever ate. Meat and Veg are both amazing.

A long visiting customer. The shop has been / is being refurbished to a very good looking inside space towards waiting area now - Nov-Dec 2022 onwards. (Sign Board still pending) It doesn’t matter as the food quality and hygiene is just right. The quality of ingredients, freshness, consistency and flavours of Chicken Sheekh Kabab, Chicken Biryani, various Curries and Samosas makes one visit regularly. Prices and quantity provided is a great value for money. Parking is an issue but for the love of food be prepared to use streets nearby. Card payment being accepted is a big plus now! Glad to see Adnan’s joining the modern standards of a food outlet!

Thank goodness that Adnans has reopened after its refurb. Just in time for me to get my favourite samosas to keep me going while watching the football. Best triangles in Nottingham!

They do good food at a reasonable price but are taking too long to reopen and are losing customers. Most of their customers are either going to Lajwab or Royals.

The samosas at Adnans are hands down the best in Notts . My lads lads I love an adnans lunch, samosas, pakoras and bhajis with chutneys. It is one of the many beautiful things about Berridge Road . So many different cultures , languages and food on one street. I love it !

Best samosas in town absolutely delicious and always nice and fresh. Not only that even the panini’s, masala fish and majority of the other food is nice as well. The staff are very polite and always there to help 👍🏼

Their samosas used to be the best in Nottingham, but they are now average like a lot of other places. Probably cutting costs. Service is average too. A young kid served me and gave me one vegetarian samosa and one that contained only potatoes when I wanted a meat one! Not too impressed so I won't be going there again

If you're looking for vegetarian samosas, this is your stop 😊 70p a piece (price correct as at June 22) Lots of other yummy stuff (curries, pilau rice, tandoori chicken etc) on display as well, but I didn't get to try them...

The samosas here are mind-blowing. They are absolutely incredible. I took some frozen ones away to deep fry at home and just had vegetable and meat ones. You know when you get this warm happy feeling after some good Indian cuisine - this is exactly what the samosas do. They are the best I have ever had. Shame it's an hour's drive for me so don't get to visit often.

Pricy and too spicy , £7 small dish was half empty . Hope I be ok after eating so hot 🔥 curry, must warn customers before sale.

Read a lot of good reviews about this place so decided to try it , have to say 5 star ,must try , highly recommend place , 1- everything good quality & quantity , 2- very reasonable price 3- friendly staff 4- tasty food especially samosa are just yummm , all curry veg & non veg taste home made , yum biryani . 😀

Average. service and Sweets (mithai) boxes, gujarela are ok. Samosas only vegetable oversized but not meat so much, pakoras are a no.

Have only tried the meat samosa, but it was the best I've had in a long time, great portion size and unreal value for money. The rest of the menu looked great and the curries smelled amazing.

Amazing place! Food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are always polite as well as the hygiene being perfect. All of the food is on point! Adnan's vege samosas + mint raita are my favourite. I no longer live in Nottingham but visit every 1-2 months and buy usually 25 Raw / non-fried ones to freeze and fry later at home.

There are plenty of takeaways in the Hyson green / Radford area but Adnan’s is one of the best. Used it on and off for a couple of years due to it being out of the way for me but the food has always been top notch quality and tasty. Service is good and the price is competitive for the area. Overall worth the trip to Adnans.
