Curry Cottage at Lovers Leap

Calver, Derbyshire Dales
14/06/2019: We dined in the cave, which you have to ask for specifically when booking. It's a beautiful, intimate setting where as a couple we could enjoy our meal in peace and quiet away from everyone else. The food was Excellent and the staff could do enough for us. The restaurant doesn't have an alcohol licence so don't forget to bring your own. They do serve soft drinks and water
07/06/2019: I must agree with the person who said it was the best curry they have eaten! We had such a good evening. The flavours worked well without being over powering. Nice ambience too! we liked the fact that we could take our own wine and beer. They don't charge for corkage but do for water but this doesn't matter as it's worth it.

The Cumin Restaurant

Radford and Park, Nottingham, >100£
17/06/2019: Ne connaissant pas bien Nottingham, nous sommes venu un peu par hasard mais au final, c’était une très bonne découverte !
12/06/2019: Food is amazing, service is great! It is an all round venue! Best Biriyani I have ever had by far. Would recommend

Ali's Indian Restaurant

Holton le Clay, East Lindsey
16/06/2019: Come da titolo, il cibo è di una qualità unica. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Locale molto pulito è staff cordialissimo. Da consigliare assolutamente è da ritornarci
05/06/2019: Would definitely call this a hidden gem. Great food, great value and great service. If you like Indian food this is undoubtedly worth a visit

Gurkha Oven

Spalding St John's, South Holland
17/06/2019: It had been a little while since our last visit, but we were certainly not disappointed. The buffet was new to us but we stayed with the a la carte menu which gave us the opportunity to try 2 dishes that were new to us. The food was excellent as it always has been on previous visits. The service was good and staff friendly and attentive. Top marks!
06/06/2019: This setting has never been disappointing. Staff friendly and food fresh and hot. No access for mobility impaired as it is on the first floor.

Castle, Northampton
16/06/2019: I had high hopes after seeing all the reviews here but sadly found this to be no different to many other similar restaurants. Ordered a takeaway for collection, it was ready on time and was good and hot. Pleasant staff.
12/06/2019: Called to place an order this evening and the lovely gentlemen said just to pull up outside as it was raining heavily and also added free poppadoms to the order. Food was wonderful but the act of kindness made it even better. Thankyou ❤

Maazi Indian Restaurant

Hathersage and Eyam, Derbyshire Dales
10/06/2019: Maazi is always a must for us when we visit the Peak District. Coming from West London where there is such a big choice of Indian food we love the twists they make to their traditional dishes. Where else would you get a beetroot and coconut samosa, taxi driver curry or Aunty Pavern’s fish curry. The service is always very attentive and even when they are really busy you don’t have to wait long to be served.
08/06/2019: Whilst staying in Hathersage with a group of cyclists we had a meal at Maazi’s. We received a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table straight away. The menu had something for everybody, the food was delicious and well presented and the service was excellent. I would definitely return to Maazi on a return visit to hathersage.

The Shalimar

Arboretum, Derby, >100£
18/06/2019: We were just passing through and thought we’d pop in for a quick meal. We were very warmly welcomed and politely shown to our table. We mentioned we had limited time and so the food was brought over in record time. The food was delicious and the service was faultless, actually the service was the best in Derby by a long shot. Thank you, Imran, for looking after us so well, it made us feel special. We’re definitely coming back !
18/06/2019: We've been coming to the Shalimar / Shalimar Gold for years now, and we have always received really tasty, high quality food with great (and friendly) service. Thank you Parvaz for serving us on our last visit; we look forward to many more meals at the Shalimar Gold.

Bakewell, Derbyshire Dales
18/06/2019: Meal was okay, nothing to particularly rave about. The restaurant is a little tired and needs updating. However, very busy when we were there. Service was okay.
16/06/2019: These guys were awesome, really went the extra mile for us! We were new to the area and arrived late so there was no food and they chucked us a curry together to collect right at closing time. So, so appreciative, and the food was gorgeous. Thanks again to the lovely staff for helping us out!

Spice Bazzar

Castle, Leicester, >100£
11/06/2019: I recently went to eat here for a friend's birthday meal. The food was excellent and tasted fresh. The bill was very reasonable and the restaurant is really close to town city centre.
04/06/2019: Best India restaurant in the UK. Great price and friendly staff. Keep up the great work guys. Trust me you will not go anywhere else after your first visit

Castle, Leicester, 30-45£
12/06/2019: Great food and atmosphere. This is the Best south Indian we have been to in Leicester. Best one I have been to full stop to be honest.
08/06/2019: Cosy place with a selection of authentic delicious Indian dishes. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. The kitchen is flexible to adjust to your taste. The service is nice, but rather slow.

The Shalimar

Stanton, Derbyshire Dales, 20-30£
16/06/2019: I was recommend the Shamilar by a local pub in the Bakewell village for the best Indian takeaway. After having a delicious takeaway we decided to book it for a couple of days later for a birthday meal as we had family visiting. The food was outstanding, probably the best Indian we’ve had in a long time!! The service and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable and will definitely be returning when next in the area. When booking the table I mentioned it was for a birthday and the effort the restaurant went to was definitely above and beyond! We had balloons, banners and even a delicious chocolate cake !!!
16/06/2019: The Shalimar is an absolutely amazing restaurant. I booked in a party of 30 people for my 60th Birthday party. As always, we were made very welcome from the moment we walked into the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure that all guests were kept filled up with the drinks and were served the meals all in a very professional manner. They constantly observed the tables and topped up the bowls and plates as required.

Dine India

Countesthorpe, Blaby
18/06/2019: 12 of us went here for dinner and a catch up. We weren’t disappointed, food and service overall was very good. No complaints from anyone regarding their food, there was a large number of different dishes ordered. The portion sizes may be slightly smaller than other establishments but it was tasty. The food is catered for a non spicy pallet.
16/06/2019: Popped in for the Sunday buffet. Food was great although the selection was a bit limited. Still, for me the selection was spot on. The place is well decorated and modern and the staff were polite. The owner or manager also seemed polite and interested in making sure customers were happy. I'll definitely be going back soon.

St Ann's, Nottingham, <20£
18/06/2019: We decided to eat here because we wanted somewhere close to The Theatre Royal where we were going to see ‘Kinky Boots’ (great show!) and Tamatanga scored very highly on TA. It turned out to be a perfect choice. The food was fresh, flavoursome and great value. We opted for the £9.95 daytime deal which is basically a soft drink and main course with either rice or naan and it was all delicious. The staff are young, but definitely on the ball, and the service was faultless. Tamatanga is certainly different and is an interesting concept that compares favourably with the many run-of-the-mill Indian restaurants that abound. My friend and I loved it and a return visit is definitely on the cards when we are next in Nottingham.
16/06/2019: Always a pleasure to eat at Tamatanga. Probably one of best Indian restaurants for me. Recommend it.

Crich, Amber Valley
16/05/2019: One of the best Indian dining experiences, great food wonderful ambiance and atmosphere, polite friendly staff catering for all tastes this place must rank as one of the finest places in Derbyshire to dine out.
21/04/2019: We visited as we was just staying down the road for the Easter weekend break.
