The Humble Cat in Nottingham

The Humble Cat provided the catering for my Father's funeral and they went above and beyond what was expected. There were more guests than we thought and Vicky worked so hard to ensure that everyone was served promptly and that there was enough food. The food was wonderful and we had many positive comments. Thank you so much - we would very highly recommend Vicky and Humble Cat team for any catering needs.

I popped in today after a long walk and I didn’t realise the shop sign was actually set to shut. Instead of being told they are shut and being sent away the lovely lady simply told me because they were now closed they didn’t have much variety left but still went on to make up fresh baguettes for myself and my family. I was SO embarrassed when I realised but I was made to feel very welcome and not like the dopey woman I clearly am. Thank you. Also, the coronation chicken baguette was the most amazing baguette I have EVER had. I will definitely come back ( when you are open ) Thanks again for your lovely food and wonderful service.

We have done the scenic route to Lincholn and stopped at this little gem of a place. Coffee and a slice of what looks to be home made cake. Oh yes, home made. Fantastic.

Busy, but very welcoming. The team really take the time to know there customers. Feels very much a community place to meet up. The food is fresh and tasty with a good choice of dishes for a light lunch. Thanks Vicky.

Never answer the phone just being rude hanging up all the time instead of saying busy they miss out on the builders £50 order every Friday because of it just answer and say your a bit busy

The Humble Cat recently catered an event for me. It was superb. Every dish they provided was delicious and I have had so much feedback on how good everything was. They made me proud and more than rose to the occasion.

Absolutely lovely here, the staff are ever so sweet. The atmosphere whether you are getting breakfast or lunch is always good, very social too. The food is lovely, highly suggest to anyone planning to come to Radcliffe.

Absolutely fabulous. Vicky at the Humble Cat could not have been more helpful when we asked her to provide food for my birthday tea last Saturday. One of my three daughters has a severe nut allergy and is also Gluten free, Vicky really reassured us, the tea was scrummy, everything homemade and beautifully presented. A big thank you, it made the day, a lovely family event held in the sunshine in the garden!

We got a couple of large cakes for a family get together. Chocolate and a gluten free lemon and blueberry (you couldn't tell it was gluten free). Nothing was too much trouble and both cakes were delicious!! Thank you so much Humble Cat team - you put a big smile on everyone's faces.

We always come here for family event catering. Births, deaths and marriages. Cakes are stunning. Scones are yummy. Never disappointed. Staff are very friendly and kind. Service is impeccable. Would recommend to everyone. Yum.

Great little place, consistently good. Lovely staff who are very friendly. Very nice cake. Not an extensive menu but what they served is excellent and always tastes fresh, which might sound strange but some places seem to have no problem in serving stale food ( bread/ cakes). Absolutely brilliant take away afternoon tea! Sandwiches, scone With clotted cream and jam, cake, mini quiche, fresh strawberries and the best brownie I’ve ever tasted. Amazing value and perfect for a special occasion or just because you want to!! 5 stars!!

We stopped by for lunch today after a countryside walk, & with our dog, we received a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious & very good value for money. Will definitely return again to try out the cakes!

Really enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful, as we're the other diners. My friend Jane and I are in our 70's and use a trolley to help with mobility. It never ceases to amaze me how kind people are. Others went out of their way to ensure we were settled. Food was good value, nice menu, felt comfortable and valued. All for approximately £5 each. A place where you can laugh out loud (if that makes sense) Thanks to all for a lovely experience.

Gorgeous little cafe with lovely attentive young ladies serving. Neat, clean & friendly atmosphere. Obviously very popular with the locals & not far from my Osteopath at No 29, which is where we called today. In fact it was my Osteopath who recommended The Humble Cat to us & he buys his sandwiches there to take away, of which there is a huge list of different fillings for! We've visited The Humble cat a few times and always enjoy the food which is freshly prepared. There are all-day breakfasts; jacket spuds with a range of fillings & salad; omelettes with a choice of fillings plus a delicious salad with coleslaw; obviously tasty home made soups; paninis; etc plus hot & cold drinks & the cake's are to die for! We highly recommend The Humble Cat, not just for the food but also the cheerful & friendly service the girls provide. Wish we had a cafe like this in our village!

Came here today with a group of friends for afternoon tea and had such a lovely time. It was super cosy and the food was amazing, so much to eat for a very decent price. Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by for a lunch snack while working in the area. It's a busy, friendly traditional cafe with lots of character. The tea for one came in a huge pot... 5 cups. The chicken sandwich pretty much contained a whole chicken with stuffing and cranberry. Freshly prepared to order. All beautifully garnished and presented. The service was prompt and friendly. Everything was reasonably priced given the superb quality. Compared to the well known chains this is simply in a different class. I will go again.

A few parking spaces on street available. Lovely welcome from staff on arrival. Nice decor to the place. Ordered at the till and then was table service. Had the breakfast baguette that was very nice. Fresh bread, good quality well cooked ingredients. Plenty of filling. Definitely worth the price! Pot of tea served in a lovely China teapot and cup and saucer. Tea bags not loose leaf. Would certainly return here.

I was visiting my daughter and son-in-law, they suggested breakfast out. They took me to The Humble Cat. The menu wasn’t the biggest but there is something on it to suit everyone’s taste. The portion size is good and reasonable priced too. The pictures on the outside of the teapot were so decorative. The Humble Cat is a busy little cafe, as soon as a table emptied, there were others coming in to sit down. Hope to go back again, when visiting my family.

Just had a breakfast..it was average..I wouldnt hurry back much better places to eat in Radcliffe. It was busy though so perhaps I made a bad choice

If you like Chocolate Cake , Coffee & Walnut Cake or Victoria Sponge this is a must place to visit. The lightest possible cake goes with a warm welcome and beautiful teapots & crockery.

A quaint tea room with beautifull crockery to whisk you away somewhere fabulous! Delicious cakes and lunches, great for children, friendly service and very welcoming.

What an amazing café! We had a poorly dog, just had eye surgery, and were made so welcome! Humans had wonderful cakes and drinks, and those lovely ladies provided a bowl of water and some ham to a very grateful dog! Everyone received excellent service! Wish I lived near enough to be a regular visitor!

Have popped in here a few times over the last couple of years. Always greeted by friendly staff. Good for a light lunch, jacket spuds, paninis, sandwiches etc. Salad is always fresh and the cafe is kept clean. They have some nice cakes too!

Service was very slow (35 mins for a few sandwiches) but food lovely. So if you aren't starving or in a hurry it's a cute little tea room.

This is a charming little cafe who serve wonderful food. There is so much choice that you need to go back often! Everything is served on pretty plates, with China tea pots and cups and saucers. Oh and the cakes are amazing!

We found this lovely cafe by adding a coffee shop pitstop on our journey. It was well worth the slight detour. The menu is extensive with a wide range of sandwiches, wraps, salads and jacket potatoes. I had a jacket potato with coronation chicken and mango chutney. Very unusual and tasty. I was spoiled for choice on the menu. I would have to come here many times to try everything I liked! The final touch was tea in a teapot! Service was friendly and quick. A well deserved 5 stars.

Competitive prices. Good food . Breakfasts are very good. Sometimes on a Saturday two blokes go there who provide a sideshow with humerous observations.

This is a very ordinary little cafe and the food we had was reasonable, for the modest prices anyway.It doesn't strike as being special or stand-out, but if you need a light meal or a snack then why not here?The main drawback for us was the time it all took - the staff may be smiley but multi-taskers they clearly are not.

I have visited this cafe for quite a few years now, even before the present owner, and it has just got better and better over time.Vicky and her staff are warm, welcoming and friendly - even on a busy Friday like today when they were run off their feet.The cakes are homemade and simply amazing, and although I normally have my "usual" which is a cheese and tomato toastie, today I had a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese and it was the best I've ever tasted. That also goes for their coffee which I think is the best anywhere.But what really makes this cafe stand out the most is Vicky and her staff who always make me feel welcome and at home.

A small but lovely cafe in our local village. Very good choice of salads either eat in or takeaway. Popular for takeaway sandwiches, the bacon butties smelled good, however we had cake and coffee. Cake delicious food choices including substantial scones, which we will definitely try next time. Popular venue with well deserved local reputation.

This was so unwelcoming I could not believe it. The lady at the counter looked miserable and I felt instant bad energy in the air. No fun place to be and not very friendly. The prices were terrible and overpriced and the plate for my little boy's cake was badly chipped. The net curtains were dirty. The glasses were mismatched and old and the cake was so sickly sweet and barely eatable. This is a poorly presented place and not worthy of good reviews. Go up the road to the chain coffee shop if you want a good quality experience.

We stopped off here for lunch today. Lots to choose from off the menu. Establishment very nice with a good selection of cakes on the counter.Usually my partner gets 4 slices of the gluten free bread for his sandwich as slices aren't very big but today he only got 2. This is the reason we knocked a point off.Staff friendly and the premises including the toilets very clean.

The food here is amazing! The cake is glorious and it is amazing value for your money - especially he quantity you get especially in sandwiches ! The staff are so friendly and remember your face!

This is a really nice breakfast, been a few times. Although would not recommend the poached eggs as these are microwaved which is a shame! But everything else seems to be properly cooled.

A small tearoom in Radcliffe-on-Trent, in the popular shabby-chic/vintage style. Coffee and tea is very nice, as you'd expect, and prices are very reasonable indeed. The cakes let it down a bit I'm afraid - all home-made, but in the 'dry sponges and crumbly scones with glacé cherries' kind of way. It's often very busy though, which is a good sign!

Always great food, great drinks and the best service. We go to the Cat at least once a week and each time everything is perfect. :-)
