Stayed here in February 2024 for 2 nights. Can't fault the location, probably the best located London hotel I've ever stayed in. Perfect location for the west end, our theatre was a 10 minute walk away. Trafalgar Square is right on your doorstep. Two tube stations are within a 5 minute walk (Charing Cross and Embankment) with four tube lines going through Embankment. Buses also frequent. Staff really friendly and accommodating (I was able to get a thicker pillow as the thinner ones didn't suit me). One thing to bear in mind is that some rooms are below ground level, and therefore have no windows. When I called about a month or two in advance to specifically request a room with a window, I was told that they couldn't guarantee the room we'd get until the day of check-in. Happened to get a very good deal for the price so we chanced it and avoided the basement. Other than that, very happy overall and would stay here again for a good price.

What a great place for a family meal. Lots of choice. All ages and diet catered for. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely visit again on our next journey to Yorkshire. Well done to all the staff at the sportsman.

We came here tonight for my daughter’s 18th as it’s her favourite local restaurant and it did not disappoint. Incredible service, delicious food and she was made a fuss of by the staff for her birthday with cake and a sing song. Thank you so much and see you soon xx

I recently received an email from Casa Cruz announcing they now offer a Sunday roast, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience and was soon to realise it was false advertising. What they served was a sad, empty plate of meat with a tiny drizzle of gravy—nothing else. No trimmings, no accompaniments—hardly what anyone would call a proper Sunday roast. When I asked about the missing elements, I was told sides were sold separately, which I wouldn’t have minded if any of the sides available resembled what you’d expect with a Sunday roast. Not one of them fit the bill. The experience felt like a missed opportunity for what could have been a standout addition to their menu. To add to the strangeness, the restaurant was playing continuous Arabic music. While I actually enjoy and listen to Arabic music, it felt completely out of place in an Argentinian restaurant, adding to the overall confusion and lack of cohesion in the experience.

The food is very nice, and there is always music to complete the atmosphere. I love this place!

Fabulous pub/restaurant. Great menu choice, good value, very friendly staff that accommodated us for late lunch. Parking available and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A true gem.

We came to Manchester to visit our daughter at Uni. We were hungry and went to a few places on the same road, but walked straight out. This place came up in google. You can smell the food in the air coming down the road. It has a nice relaxing chilled vibe inside, reggae music playing. From a family of chefs who respect the art. Well what can I say we were not disappointed. We ordered the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, mutton, steam veg, coleslaw and dumplings & a red stripe. Highly recommended, the food was on point, big portions wholesome full of flavour food. I’m a hungry guy and the standard portion was more than enough. We all could not get enough, amazing, well done you guys are doing a great job, no nonsense Jamaican Food.
