Really enjoyed ourselves here but some of the meat can be quite fatty. Fish was slightly undercooked from the grill but it was very busy and he was rushed. Should have asked for abit longer. The rest ofnthe food was excellent and great value

Wouldn’t even feed my dog here, absolute load of rubbish… £32 for Iceland value food and a bland atmosphere I think not.

Food is delicious, staff were prompt to offer assistance. Let down by the children literally sprinting everywhere spilling food on the floors and drinks on people. Going to get food from the buffet was like a game of dodge the bounding child. Lack of parenting from parents evidently but I feel like the restaurant should implement rules against allowing children to run freely.

Can't really fault it. It's a decent buffet. Nothing was spectacular but nothing was awful.

We went there to celebrate a birthday. Such a huge range of food choices From salads to Chinese or cooked in front of you scallops. The chocolate mousse is so good. We where still eating at the final sitting and the waiter came past and told us when each section would be closing down for the night. The only down side is that at the end of the night we saw them throwing all the food in big bins instead of finding possible ways of feeding the homeless who are living just outside there doors.

Outside the place looks a bit run down but once you're upstairs, it's like you're in a five star hotel inside the tardis! It's most certainly bigger on the inside and beautifully decorated. Plenty tables and choice of food, tasted lovely. Welcoming and friendly staff. My only complaint was the curry, I didn't try it as it looked a bit watery. Other than that, all good 😁

The food was just about ok. But very grease. Will not return. But the Corbra beer was Buy 1 get 1 free, so that was good.

Nice food, plenty of choice, canteen style eatery. 2 hour time limit but wasn't enforced on a midweek booking.

Although there is a good turnover of replenishment some of the items were over cooked. The tepanyaki which my daughter (13yr old) tried for the first time went for scallops and steak. The scallops were under cooked and steat over cooked and over spiced with black pepper and wasn't given the option to refuse black pepper. On the whole it was an enjoyable evening out and will return at some point. But my daughter did ask if they could have cockles on the menu in future.

The food was meh. There was plenty of variety, but it was bland and largely tasteless. The service was efficient, but nothing special.

As you'd expect from a buffet on a weekday evening. Wasn't too busy. Food was ok though with low numbers you could tell some dishes weren't being replaced as much as others. Would visit again though.

Back to my favourite restaurant again and it didn’t disappoint. They still have an amazing choice of food, everything we had was fresh and hot. All the staff we had contact with was welcoming and friendly especially the managers that we’ve got to know over the years. The only problem at JRC is there’s so much to choose from I always have a bit of everything and leave weighing 5kg heavier than when I started. Can’t wait to go back again, thank you for a great time, see you soon.

Very much like a large food hall, in that there is a nice selection of food types and different areas to sit. All the food is well cooked and fresh, and good quality for a buffet.

It's a buffet, people complaining about quality? It's not a Michelin restaurant- if you want that , go there. For a buffet It's great. Plenty of options. If you want indian specifically , go to an Indian buffet. Etc. If you want to try a variety of different things from different places... that's a buffet. Better then most in North America. As far as buffets go, top notch.

Having been to numerous JRC buffets in the UK since their openings over a decade ago, we have always liked JRC and would go for an occasion with the family maybe once or twice a year. HOWEVER, we went there last night after not going for about two years, and can finally say JRC buffet is not the same anymore. Not sure if there are a change of owners but the food and service is no longer the same. We went there at 7:15pm (was told their last entrance is 7:30pm sharp), only to find a lot of the food is already empty and has not been refilled. We thought maybe someone will refill it considering it is only 7:20pm which is still really early. Unfortunately none of the food were replenished automatically and we even had to ask one of the staff if they had anymore salmon. The staff then took out a really small portion of diced up salmon to replenish the empty bowl. The portion was only enough for two people and that’s only if you take a few pieces each. This is not what you would expect at a buffet. The fried food is over cooked, all dried and hard so not edible. Sushi is soggy with rice stuck together so not made fresh. Prawns had no flavour at all. Avoid the siu mai (Chinese pork dumpling) at all costs as that’s just blended cheap pork fat and not even sure what meat it is. The tinyest piece of smoked salmon on a slice of baguette, where you can barely see the salmon. Desserts were ok except you have to get it quick before they close the counters by like 8:30pm, kind of ridiculous since we were only there for an hour. Lightning is dim so you can’t see what you are eating. Only after an hour in to our meal, the waiters were already cleaning the tables next to us and spraying disinfectant. Also asked if we finished our plate to rush us which clearly still had food on it and we were eating it. We were also told the kitchen was closed at 8:30 (not that we felt like there was a lot to eat anyway), which is really early for a buffet. For the price of £28 for adult, this is not the sort of food or service you would expect. Do not recommend this place as there are better buffets elsewhere. Not going to review the food. When they charge a 10 year old as an adult that's flagrant age discrimination.

Atmospheres great and food is amazing

A mediocre place to eat, 2 years ago I would have said great but the standards have dropped dramatically which in turn shows in the utility and presentation of the food. Not as good value either as they no longer include a soft drink in the meal price Standard greed pplies here

Food was okay. Ambiente is rly dark and crowded. Service is okay at the bar but otherwhise no Service at all.

The food was stale. There was a foul smell in a part of the dining area. All round waste of money.

2024 review So this is my 2nd time going to this all you can eat restaurant, and overall, I don't think i will return again for the price you pay for the overall quality of food. It is not quite worth it For an adult £27 For a child £13 Paying 13 pounds for a 4 year old is just silly they don't eat that much food regardless of how many puddings they think they can eat The service was always kind and friendly, and it was clean and tidy at all times Now the food Yes, you get such a wide arrangement from American to Indian Chinese Japanese Italian others in there as well, but it is just bland. Nothing stands out. What makes you think I will have 2nds on that Some of the dishes all I can say is that I think the ice cream was warmer and some stations what clearly not many people went to the dishes where just left to melt under the heated lamps The seafood I would really give a miss to for someone who loves seafood it just tastes a little off the prawns in the Chinese section tasted a little off and they where very soft and the prawns in the shell sort of the same again no flavour to them and just tasted a little strange The pudding section is nice. There are lots of different choices, including the chocolate fountain, and some of the cakes are not bad I fully understand it is a all you can eat, and the food is done on mass. What overall makes it hard to keep a decent level of quality, but other all you can eats do it better So overall would I return again probably not I have now been twice and it has been the same on both food that is cold by the time you get back to your table and the overall quality is just not there Please give a like if this has helped you

Restaurant opens at 5pm and gets busy within the first hour. Wide selection of food, Asian, Greek, Spanish etc. There is very very little service. Very few staff around to ask for anything. The food itself was ok. Good value for money.

Got here for opening and a number of the dishes were cold, but disappointed considering my last visit a few years ago was much better.

As a buffet first timer, this was quite the experience for me. There are a lot of rules about what you can and don't do. You have to leave by a certain time after entering. You have to get a pass if you want to go outside and return. There are numerous signs about not handling food with your bare hands which is a bit disturbing that they need these. There is nothing particularly tasty about the food. It's more of a canteen feeding the masses. Drinks prices for alcohol are fairly steep. For dessert, I tried the chocolate flavoured ice cream. There is a difference between chocolate ice cream and chocolate flavoured ice cream. This is the latter. Buffets aren't for me. Having said that, the rest of my group seemed to enjoy the experience. Staff were friendly and professional and the toilets were clean. It was also nice to see that this place is very suitable for those with mobility issues.

Excellent range of food, and a free meal for my daughter's birthday (we had to book 24 hours in advance and bring ID to claim it). Nice atmosphere and not too busy. Food was generally fresh and tasted good. Great for fussy eaters as there was something for everyone. Only minor thing that let it down was when we first arrived, and there was no explanation of how things worked or what we needed to do - just a demand for money. But the rest of the customer service was great, the wait staff were helpful and our table was cleared regularly. Will definitely be back.

I don't believe this place is halal and also staff at front desk kept moaning and charged extraa avoid at all costs I'm going to make complaint to food trading standards and report it. aviod at all cost worsttt buffet in whole of east London and I'm definitely going to make this viral on all my social media platform as I have a big follower and fan page...... I absolutely feel disappointed and disgusted by the customer service and approach by the members of staff......

Amazing food, price is a little steep

For years was wanting to try Global Buffet Watford but wished I hadn't. All the hotplate lids to the Starters were open when really they should be closed to keep the heat in. If you looked closely you could see the heat actually escaping. If you check the photos in the Gallery posted by Andrew Oct 2019 that's what you're greeted with. There was a large plate piled high with sliced beef left balanced on the edge of one of the shelves, not kept hot in any way. All the food was tepid or cold; several times I selected the black pepper chicken and it was stone cold which I did not eat. I did not try the Indian Curries or the Shepard's pie I'd lost interest by then. Each dish I tried I just shook my head in disbelief at how dire things were. Members of staff were more interested in standing outside the front door and having a smoke than doing any serious work without looking bored out of their skulls. Try the All You Can Eat in Luton to see how things should be done. Weekdays lunch is £13 and weekends it's £23. Avoid Global Watford at all costs!

I usually leave a nice review, but I honestly needed to get off my chest how disappointed I am. It was my first time here there was 6 of us majority of the food was cold there where items listed and labeled but the food wasn't there when asked we where told it's run out and not Making nomore, the water dispenser had dirty water coming out from it and the coke was flat...tge tomatoe ketchup had 2 dead flys and the mexican salsa had a mosqito.....and after all that the dessert section was closed off.I mean I may sound over the tip but honestly this is how it was. Paying £90 for hardly eating anything was a complete waste of money and my time. Never coming back!!!

I have visited many times to JRC Watford and wembly. I called this evining to Watfort JRC and I was told last person In is 9pm. Got to the entrance 2min to 9 , staff refused entry. I told them it's not even 9pm , soon see two of the staff leaving on the dot 9pm, saying no one up to take you in , this is absolutely ridiculous. I wasted my time to come to Watford JRC. It was 15miles journey.

I really enjoyed the food at JRC Global Buffett in Watford. There is so much choice it is unbelievable. All the food we sampled was cooked very well. It is one of my favourite places to eat in the area. All the staff we dealt with were helpful and efficient. We did have one small problem where one of the servers accidentally cleared our drinks away while we were getting some more food. This was quickly resolved by one of the Supervisors who replaced the drinks when they realised what had happened. I could not fault them at all and would recommend JRC to all.

Great place with a wide variety of food. I've been a couple of times and the food was the same. It would be good if they would change the menu every couple of months. Clean and tidy seating area. Free refills for soft drinks.

We celebrated my sister birthday in this restaurant. Everything was great. The quality of food was perfect. Food and salads was so delicious and everyone with different tastes can find something that they gonna love.

Saw this location on a tv program. Could not believe how many people they serve in a single day. Very impressed with the speed and skill of staff. Based on the tv show i would say 1) make a reservation and be early. 2)Dont bring a crying baby. 3) Dont think you are going to sit from 1pm to 5pm and get 2 meals for the price of 1 like some people try to do in the United States. There is a time limit i think it was a reasonable 2hrs. ( please correct me if i am wrong) If i get back across the pond to see a Manchester United game again, i'll definitly make a reversation and get something from the teppanyaki grill.

It’s too expensive for self service, it is very dark, you need walk and wait for some food to be cooked and no good drinks are included, all you do all dinner is getting up and go for food and can’t relax and enjoy yourself, and then in the end you have different food get mixed in stomach

How much the price gone up is ridiculous.. 2 people 64 pounds is excessive... and we were able to eat just a generic salad and pasta, coz curry was inedible, gross slimy, staff clearly bored and hate to be there.

The food was exactly like when you order a Chinese you get full quick (which I get for an all you can eat) the chicken in every dish was dry and over cooked! The carvery didn’t have the usual meats it had piri piri chicken thighs,the steak was cooked on site but not asked how you like it cooked! Really not worth the money! Staff not really welcoming just act like they have a job to fulfill and that’s it! Limited halal options was just the Indian! Most of the food was tepid! My youngest is 12 and wasn’t allowed the kids payment because of her height???

Really good food and good service

I can't fault this place really. The food is really tasty. It's buffet food so it's never going to be top quality but it comes pretty close. Lots to offer on the soft drinks, they used to be free with the buffet but it's now £4 which honestly I still think is good value. The steak cooked to order was absolutely delicious, and I was really surprised to see scallops available. The Korean chicken was also amazing. Would love to see kimchi as an option. There really is a lot of anything you could desire. If you book for your birthday you get in for free. I paid £32 on a Saturday afternoon and got everything I wanted. 3 course meal and drinks would cost you more than that in a restaurant. Totally worth it

I have been coming to this restaurant with my family for the last five years, and it used to be one of our favorites. Unfortunately, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of both the service and the food over time. The tables are old and wobbly, making them unsafe and uncomfortable. The food, which was once delicious and fresh, is now often served cold and lacks the flavors we used to enjoy. Additionally, many items on the menu are frequently unavailable, adding to our disappointment. Despite the noticeable increase in prices, the overall quality has come down drastically. It's disheartening to see a place we once loved fall short of expectations. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the standards. Very disappointing.

Such a disastrous and disappointing experience ever had in buffet options. This place is not recommended at all and specially if you are looking for Indian meals options they have nothing except some basic ones which you would never like to have it. Other cuisines are useless for vegetarian people and total waste of money. IMPORTANT: If still you thinking to go to waste money then take water bottle with yourself as no free water there with meal. You have to spend £4 for drinks even if you looking for water only. DISASTER PLACE AND WORTHLESS EXPERIENCE. Atmosphere and staff are so dull in responding to you that you would feel sorry for yourself for selecting such a place. So first timers take this review seriously and avoid wasting your money here!! Edit: Manager replied that they have water machine but they will not provide you a glass to fill water and for that you have to pay £4. I asked to person at bar and told me no drink is free and also have to pay for a glass to fill water. If you manager think that it is incorrect then you should return money back which is charged for a glass to fill water.

Very warm place lots of space and variety of foods and kids like it too... Teppanyaki should have 2 chef so could make it more easy to cooked for customers to have the food quicker instead waiting 1 by 1 and less ques. Part from that nice place for familys & birthday party.

Called them up twice to ask them if their food is halal after reading reviews from other customers saying is halal. First time a lady answered saying “We usually say to customer is not halal”, this is not a professional and satisfactory answer to give customers, if your working in a restaurant you should now what your kitchen is making and how, clearly the staff is not trained, they don’t know what their kitchen is offering and they don’t know how to speak to customers. Second time a guy said to me that other branches are halal, after telling him that the reviews of the Watford one are saying is halal he kept saying the same thing, when asked if he can ask someone that knows he kept saying the same thing. I wonder how long they train their staff and how in order for them to be so incompetent and not being able to answer a simple question, still wonder if this place is halal or not I guess is a mystery which only few selected people are allowed to know.

Disappointed because the website says there would be Brazilian BBQ to be served at the table and it simply wasn't there, I asked and they only said it wasn't there. I brought a group of 10 people with the idea that we would eat BBQ. Restaurant with poor lighting too.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food wasn’t that good. Different food to choose from, but it wasn’t that tasty as it supposed to be. I expected better, but I was disappointed. 😞

If you like to eat a lot of food. Then Global Buffet is the restaurant for you. A huge range of dishes are available. Can be packed at weekends.

Food was good. But some areas are so hidden that you can easily miss out due to the layout. Completely missed out on freshly grilled prawns and Indian cuisine. Lighting is really dark and ruins the mood. Kind of makes you feel like you go to bed. On the other hand, customer service is great. Very helpful and good quality and hygiene was at its best!

The food and selection is appalling..

There are some changes with the food menu. The sushi was a bit dry, but other food selections are still worth the money.

I love Global Buffet. It is not Haute Cuisine but it's delicious exciting and sometimes even exceptionally. You can eat Chinese, pizza,curry,burgers,bao buns,paella, chicken&chips,sushi and even steak and scallops fried fresh while you wait. There is also plenty of choice for children. For dessert you could have black forest gatau, eton mess, profiteroles fresh fruit dipped under the chocolate fountain, ice cream, jelly the list goes on and on. It's a great place to go for a celebration because unlike a normal restaurant you can try, a little,of as many dishes as you like to find your favourites. Always buy the refillable drink it's the same price as one coke in a normal restaurant and at the end of your meal hand your glass back to get a cup for a hot chocolate or coffee. If you take kids they will nag you to go back again. There is also a JRC Global Buffet at Wembley which is equally brilliant. Costs :- Children @ half adult price

If you want to be let down by the food, variety and atmosphere go here! I walked in to a couple asking to speak to a manager to complain about their experience and it went downhill from there. The food is tasteless, most items are missing and the food looks as if it has been sitting out for hours on end. The ‘Italian section’ consists of only lasagna and pizza. The ‘chocolate fountain’ is filled with bubbles, it has clearly been watered down with something… How is it called the global buffet when there is no Mexican?! What kind of globe are they looking at? When I asked a staff member to help show me the Mexican part he replied to look at the European section??? Hardly ate anything as I was worried about getting food poisoning from all the staffs awful food hygiene of using the same set of utensils for everything and the live cook cooking raw and cooked meat with the same utensils!

Service. Shocking. Even for a buffet. People standing about not doing much with only one person admitting. Food wasn't of a great standard especially due to the price point. Won't return

I was at JRC in Southampton once and this wasn't a patch on that one. Not nearly enough variety of starter type snacky bits, mostly variants of breaded chicken. The Indian offerings were awful, thin sauces and gristly meat, Chinese section was better.

Issa Buffet, reasonably priced and offers a wide range of food. You have to pay extra for a hot/cold drink but that is refillable. Recommended for larger parties, caters for all fussy eaters and all tastes. Food is average buffet food you have been informed.

This place is busy,really, really busy. On the entrance you are getting a ticket and timing when you will need to leave. Which I guess it's ok. The food ? It's good, of course it highly depends on what you will go for , but in general rally good selection with tasty bits . Overall worth it .

This spot us good for family and good for someone who wants to have a bit of everything. I like the teppanyaki section and the mediterranean area. Lots of flavor to try.

The food is delicious. Even the kids said it was the best restaurant they have been to. Even the pizza they had was the best. A lot of variety. Perfect for a family with varied taste.

Fabby for largish parties; favourite place for family birthdays. Food is plentiful and freshly cooked, with dishes from around the world........you will never manage a whole plateful of each main item so either have a little taster ie pace yourself or use it as an excuse to have to go multiple times 😉

There are so many varieties of food, the pictures I take probably just 1/5 of the whole, I particularly like Asian food here, yummy and tasty, and I'm happy to try different things within one place. worth every penny for the price

If you don’t mind waiting for a drink while kids wash their hands in the machine you might get back to your table in one piece. Food is luke warm and a lower quality than value food purchased from a shanty town.

Hi! The price reached 28£ which is a lot and they removed from the assortment.Not even the juice at the dispenser is included in this price;the juice glass has increased to 4 pounds, which seems to me a lot!

Self-service and buffet-type restaurant with a very wide range of dishes. I recommend everyone to try it, you won't be dissatisfied.

Great apart from being squash by the number of seats/ tables. Thankfully it was only at about 50% when we went, on Saturday late afternoon

There are vegetarian options but not a great variety as my friend struggled and stated wasn't a lot she liked, I found the food to be a nice range although some of the dishes I liked on a previous visit wasn't there. Service was fine and didn't have any problem. We realised after we stayed well over the allotted time with no pressure

Went on a Tuesday for my birthday, but wow the food quality has gotten worse. Alot of dishes taste like leftovers, not fresh. Price is more expensive now. If it wasn't for free birthday meal, then I wouldn't come here again.

For Asians it's not a good place for having the South indian varieties. But the starters are nice and have more sea food dishes which aren't interesting to eat.
