Paid 10 on Deliveroo for ONE piece of fried chicken. The curry goat is half of the normal portion. Daylight robbery! Ridiculous! This is the portion size of a £22 order! Never again!

Not that often I'm moved to leave a review but this food was incredible! Stewed chicken literally one of the best i have eaten. One of the best Caribbean food places in Bristol Friendly welcoming staff with positive vibes, even put the tv on for me. Everybody welcome,highly recommended!!

Frequent visitor to bikkle and never been let down here. Solid food with that home made taste and care in the food. Had a lot of the dishes now and stars of the show for me which I keep going back to are brown stew chicken and also curry chicken. The jerk is also very good too! Brownstew being my favourite, succulent chicken boneless fall apart in you’re mouth but packed with flavour, the gravy base has those sweet, savoury notes but with a kick of bonnet through it which we all love, this dish for me hits everytime and always go to order. Rice and pea, flavourful fragrant and fresh, plenty of seasoning throughout and never overcooked. Steam veg and coleslaw are a must have item here! Always good food, service can take a while but nothing crazy. Would highly recommend! 8.5/10 everytime.

Viajamos 20 millas desde Weston - súper - Mare para obtener su increíble comida, después de haber vivido en el sur de Londres toda mi vida nos resultó difícil encontrar un buen indio occidental hasta que encontramos la isla Bikkle. El personal amable le sirve deliciosa comida. Cola de buey, cabra al curry, pollo estofado marrón. Perfecto. Luego agregue a eso albóndigas, festivales, plátano, verdura al vapor y arroz con guisantes. Muchas otras opciones también. Pollo idiota es genial también. I am so unhappy with my food. I ordered a rice box with peas, 2 jerk chicken boxes and steamed veg but lo and behold - no rice box with peas. I have called the number on their site but it’s out of service. This is ridiculous, how am I to get in touch for a refund? Never again!!!! Horrible service.

I cannot give enough praise for Bikkle Island and its staff (Marie) who indeed bless and comfort me in times of need. The food is of course wonderful and delicious, but their customer service is beyond expectation and requirement. Absolutely spot on beautiful Jamaican food. Dumplings were crispy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. Curried goat and jerk chicken were enjoyed by the meat eaters. More veggie options would give this a 5 for me.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Bristol. The fried chicken was perfect and curried goat was soft and tender. A mixed box is more than enough to fill you up all day and it’s all happily washed down with a can of Ting! Absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be back again.

I generally get treated like family there my visits to bikkle are honestly met with love& warmth. a physical metaphor that if you bring authentic good vibes you get authentic good vibes back

5 star service, food can regrettably be hit and miss. Sometimes it’s A1 whilst other times it slightly lacks the love.

Went to visit family we decided to order some food, unfortunately the oxtail was dry and tasted like sugar and was unusually very spicy. Like the meat may have been off or stored longer then what it should have been. Was the same for the peas soup which I was really disappointed about, nothing was really in the container just a few spinners and peas.

Wow Bikkle you've done it again, top notch food cooked to perfection and full of flavour.😋 I made the mistake of ordering from African palace two days ago since Bikkle weren't delivering, and paid the price, the goat meat was tough definitely not cooked and it was mostly bone anyway and the jollof rice had no flavour and it cost £25 with Fu fu, it ended up in the bin. But Bikkle you're the one, next time you're closed I'll eat dry bread as I don't want to risk ordering from elsewhere again. X

I’ve had the goat curry and the oxtail from bikkle island. Both have been unbelievably tasty. We are very lucky to have an establishment like this in bristol, which not only puts love and care into their food, but also makes food which is soooooooo tasty. If you haven’t tried bikkle island, for god sake go now.

Delicious food in copious amounts for a very reasonable price, cooked and served by beautiful people. My only issue is that it is served in single-use containers even when eating in.

Very nice goat curry rice and peas. Paid a bit more for additional jerk chicken, which again was very nice. The presentation of the food really impressed me, it was basic and clean. The food spoke for itself, it all looked very good and smelt delicious. The young lady behind the counter kindly let my friend taste test first as she was unfamiliar with some of the dishes on offer. Very good value for money.

I thought I had eaten at every Caribbean there is in Bristol and then I found Bikkle Island! I came today and I must say it is hands down the best Jamaican/Caribbean in Bristol without a doubt. I’ve eaten in many in London also and it tops all of them. Can honestly say it’s probably THE BEST I’ve ever had. I got a potion of jerk chicken rice and peas which was perfect, but I couldn’t resist getting half ox tail and half peppers steak with again rice and peas. No I didn’t eat it all at once because the potion sizes were again perfect. Every time I visit Bristol I will now only eat at Bikkle when I need my fix of Caribbean! Everyone get your tastes buds down here! You will not be let down. And the customer service was brilliant 👍🏼

If you don't know, then you NEED to know! Hands down one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Bristol. Large portion sizes and every bite is packed full of flavour! I had the Jerk chicken, oxtail and peppered steak it was out of this WORLD! All the dishes are served in front of you and it just makes you want to have them all! I can't believe I've only just found out about this place after all these years of trying out most of Bristol's caribbean restaurants! I will be back for sure! The service was great too!! The place is always busy. We always have to queue. The food is amazing. I had the Jerk chicken, rice and peas. My partner had the fish. Plenty of food and fantastic quality. We went all the way from out of town and not disappointed. Food tasted amazing and the women who served us always makes conversation and small talk. Love it. Such a hidden little gem.

Absolutely delicious! Everytime we order the menu has something different so you know it's fresh! So far we've tried the goat curry, stew chicken, jerk chicken, coleslaw and dumplings. All so so good! Would order everything again but our fav is the jerk chicken, perfect seasoning and you could tell it was cooked on a Bbq! Also really quick service - Can't wait to try more dishes!

I'm relatively new to Jamaican cuisine, having only tried brown stew chicken from another establishment before, so was very pleased to discover this place. Ordered mannish water and jerk chicken. I could have eaten a gallon of the mannish water because it is so tasty. Lots of flavour, big chunks of goat meat (watch for bones), big chunks of vegetables and just the right amount of seasoning. In no way am I exaggerating, the jerk chicken was the nicest chicken I have ever tasted anywhere. The marinade had penetrated right through to the bone ensuring it was packed with flavour. The meat was so tender that Shakespeare would write a sonnet about it. The portion size was just right too. Will definitely be trying more of their menu.

Nipped in to pick something nice to eat for the weekend. Oh my goodness, we got curry goat with white rice and rice and peas with curried chicken, and it was delicious. Great portions which allowed for leftovers. Absolutely delicious and great customer service.

We had the opportunity to try the chicken stew and rice with beans. I have little experience of Carribbean food. Nonetheless, I found the food to be really flavourful. I reckon the chicken was fried first and then stewed. This gave the chicken a nice texture; it was succulent, and the sauce complemented it well. Excellent indeed. Bonus: the hostesses were very pleasant and friendly. We will be going there again.

This place is a hidden gem in Bristol. This award winning restaurant serves super delicious food. Any restaurant with a constant queue is a winner. My only criticism is the price is always going up.

Sorry it didn’t last long enough for a photo opportunity. We’ve ordered more than I would like to admit - this time the chicken had been cooked with no bones (easier for kids) plenty of sauce and loads of rice. Phoned up to add veg but very happily supplied. Well done all involved and thank you!

Walked in like I didnt even know where the entrance was. Bossman ran me through everything of what they had, even picked out some recommendations for me. Nice guy. Had the nicest chicken curry. Lovely chill place and the smells are on point even if you have a mask on.
