We were here for birthday drinks, we were here for a good couple of hours, yes we were a bit loud, but not rude and got told to leave, even though the noise level was loud and people drinking on a Saturday night!!!!

Cheap beer and good pub grub. However the faces on some of the staff behind the bar leaves a lot to be desired. Imagine employing somebody in a customer facing roll, to have them look through you and not say anything......like a "hello what can I get you?" would be a brilliant place to start!!

Not a bad team here.. beer good.. but food cold and pizza dough only half cooked, it’s not the only weatherspoons that has this problem. Raw dough in others. Our first one was delicious then downhill for the next few orders. Maybe there not defrosting there dough properly. Shame it’s so random.

I've been quick to slate the food at wetherspoons on recent visits to various pubs, so I feel duty-bound to put a good review here. We decided on a day out in Exeter (which typically consists of a pint of ale in each of the spoons.) Before heading off for said ales at George's Meeting House, The Chevelier and The Imperial, we got off the train at St Thomas and walked down to the Sawyers Arms for a breakfast. The food was hot (hooray) and the yolk in the egg was lovely and dippy (hallelujah!). This visit has rekindled some (ever dwindling) faith that you CAN get a decent breakfast in some 'spoons pubs WELL DONE TO THE KITCHEN STAFF AT THE SAWYERS ARMS 👍

Has a proper local feel to it 👌 food is always out promptly and piping hot the same with drinks if ordering on the app always comes in a good amount of time. On South st, ideal as close to city centre, big indoor dining area as with most weatherspoons, also upstairs balcony seating, toilets upstairs with ground floor disabled toilet, nice log fire toward the back and extra outdoor garden seating, and a very nice church conversion with stain glass windows still in tact. Food is good for the value, and at time of writing there is an October festival with award winning ales and beers at £2.55.

The whole food was unseasoned. Had to return my drink as the glass had black bits in it. Please this isn’t Jamaican food. Please don’t believe it’s Jamaican food.
