Me and my other half travelled from Sheffield for this place and left whole heartedly impressed. Nothing like this in Sheffield and it really stands out that it is an all you can eat buffet which personally I think is true value for money given what they’re charging. The atmosphere was lovely not like any small old school type caribbean food shop that to sit in is dismal, a proper restaurant feel, very spacious lovely decor and excellent customer service. Food was fantastic, not bland by any standards and all the food trays were regularly topped up with a variety of dishes and all the food being warm and delicious. Customer service was excellent our waitress was so attentive and cleaned up any dirty plates immediately before we even got back seated, drinks were fantastic and overall the atmosphere was remarkable for any caribbean food shop I’ve ever been too. Sad to see some reviews being very critical of authentic Caribbean food / dishes given based on how people personally serve / prepare and cook their own dishes. I think it should be considered that that Chez Coors have not only made themselves stand out by offering an all you can eat restaurant / buffet style, but they’ve given a place for the black community to sit and eat and having an indoors dining service type setting with authentic Jamaican dishes. Saying that I think this place shows a lot more uniqueness than your standard small Caribbean cuisine shops that are dotted about on street corners nationwide with nothing more to offer than a counter and a few tables. Truly upped the game and wish them much success as they’re serving top quality flavours. 10/10 would definitely be back

From their first restaurant on Mansfield road and now this new one, I see a huge improvement in the layout, atmosphere, space, and a more variety with the buffet. When you book for an evening table, the buffet is surplus, as expected in every buffet. No complaints, lovely family business that I will support.

Usually I am not one to complain we order takeaways multiple times a week and always enjoy our food however the delivery we received yesterday has given all of us upset stomach I have chronic belly pains and so does my partner even my son who is not even 2yet has had diarrhoea multiple times from this food. When the food came it looked and smelt nice however when we opened it all the side orders were not even edible and for the chicken well after trying it that went straight in the bin.. We are all in agony this morning will never order from here again

We visited Chez Coors when we dropped our son to uni. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return when we are next in Nottingham.

The food it’s good but we didn’t find barely anything to choose from.Shame as we traveled 45 minutes to get there .No finesse in the details:warm juice and didn’t offer any ice,cake not homemade but just a basic supermarket lemon drizzle and chocolate cake .Definitely need improvement

Visited here with my family we were all so excited because our first Caribbean food buffet. We enjoyed the food however a lot the dishes were missing which we was disappointed about. We would visit again if they ensured there was enough food.

The food from chez was below average. The mac and cheese wasnt even mac and cheese, it was penne pasta with cheese melted on top. The jerk sauce didn't have too much flavour either. Just disappointing all round. The only good thing about chez is that they have red stripe on tap.

This was our first time here, the service was great from the moment me walked in to the moment we left. I started off with the soup and wow it was the best soup I’ve tasted so far. The food was beautiful, the flavours were amazing. Real home made food. we will definitely be back. Thank you

I hadn't been to the earlier version of this restaurant (elsewhere) but I walked past it on the way to the ice rink and marked it to take the kids to at the weekend. Good choice! It has a two part layout - on the right is a sports bar with big tele - people were watching the football from a high table and chatting. In the other half are a number of tables each named after a place and arranged in a non-linear way which is a nice touch. On Sunday afternoon there were only 8 in our half but more in the sports bar. The food was buffet-style help yourself with a very nice range of items from mutton curry to dumplings (mmm) and from plantain (mmmm x2) to rice and peas. Everything was tasty and all the dishes I had were low heat (spice-wise) so you could taste (not be blasted). I didn't see ackee, saltfish or cornbread (which I'd like) but I may have missed it or perhaps the menu changes. Nice range, plenty of choice and tastes. Some dishes were labelled 'not-halal', so I presume most of it is. Desserts were 4 flavours of ice-cream. Not sure how Jamaican that is (I've only been to Barbados) - would have been nice to see some tamarind, starfruit or mango, or even coconut cakes. Drinks were separate (Ginger tea for two of us and mango drinks for the other 2) - the drinks 'waiter' was low key (not pushy) which is the way I like it. Cost was reasonable - about the same as we pay for most other buffets in Nottingham. I'd definitely go again and I'm feeling hungry writing this review.

Food taste was lovely at first. Few weeks later after a visit food coming in like its yesterday's old mutton and no pepper Scott init. They starting to make it to English and sometime meat fresh sometimes it taste old I just hope they storing the meat right. Nuf bones to.

On my! I have not tested anything like this in years. True home cooking (Jamaican). Buffet style so you can try anything. The mutton stew was my favourite. Closely followed by the fried dumplings. Lots of varieties. I would think it must be about 20 different dishes. Excellent value for money. We would easily travel an hour to visit next time. We are planning to bring friends.

Booked a table for 5 for a birthday event, had everything confirmed, then they decide to message me and cancel the day before the event as they are closed til the 8th jan. Nowhere did it state they were closed and why confirm a table in the first place?! The only response I got was 'I do apologise' Appaling customer service.

Drove up from Luton for the weekend on the recommendation of my daughter who is a student at Leicester Uni and who had visited Chez Coor's - was not disappointed. The food was lovely and hot, unlike many buffet's where the food is usually luke warm, and it tasted absolutely delicious. Definately home cooked food with lovely flavours - would definately visit again

My husband & I were invited to our two friend's joint 60th birthday meal where this was our first visit here... We were welcomed with warm Caribbean sunshine smiles from the beautiful owner & her team of friendly, smiling workers who couldn't do enough for us!! We had the 'all you can eat' buffet evening dinner where we were spoilt for choice on the array of mouth watering starters, mains & desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection, packed with so many different flavours your taste buds danced in time to the Caribbean music!! We like to say which was our favourite but it's so difficult as everything was deeeeeelish!! Although I must say, to top your meal off with Caribbean fruit cocktail with ice cream & coconut cake was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The DJ did an excellent job playing 'old skool' tunes that appealed to everyone & even the staff entertained us with their dancing & one lovely worker sang a beautiful song which she dedicated to the birthday girls, how sweet was that!! Such a beautiful & friendly atmosphere!! We can't wait to revisit on our 'date night'!! WELL DONE to everyone at Chez Coors!!! ♡♡♡

I’m was super impressed with the high standard of food and service. The ambiance was great with the right level of reggae music playing in the background. Cleanliness 10/10. I loved all the dishes, (I certainly tried most of them), but the soup and the festival dumplings were My favourite. staff were friendly and happily provided us with 2 jugs of ice water. Lol! even the water tasted great. I can honestly say I have never in my whole life had a fruit salad like one there. I think it was made with nectar. Just as we were leaving and paying the bill, the owner, Sharon, took the time to indulge me in a 10 minute conversation about how she and her husband started up the restaurant. I’m old school so I appreciated her effort to get to know about me and my family too. I will defo be going back. My son chose this restaurant to celebrate his 20th birthday. I wasn’t really too excited about it because I usually like a Chinese buffet, but I know where my first choice will from now on. My daughters already talking about her birthday meal being there.

saw this place by walking pass saw the logo on the outside Caribbean cruise decided to go on inside look at d menu we were ready to eat chicken soup was great oxtail stew was d best everything on the menu was really excited and i must say the staffs were very friendly and lady who i discovered was the owner make so comfortable that place was our eat spot until we came back home to Barbados thx u very much from my family to you we really enjoyed d food was extremely good

Heard about this place through a Facebook advert and I thought as I was in Nottingham for the half marathon I might as well come and check it out as I am a massive fan of Jamaican food.

the food that they had was nice and service was good, but i was disappointed there was no jerk chicken and the only pudding was ice cream

first impressions the windows need a good clean , spacious odd miss/matched furniture decor done on minimum budget unused equipment in restaurant area seemed clean. Staff friendly/helpfull. Not got the drink me and my friend wanted so had to choose something else. No air con on such a hot day. Noticed plates where on the small side, but never mind as its buffet .Now the exiting bit where you go and look at the food. maybe two or three pots empty no food in at all. No callaloo no veg no plantain no boiled dumplings no escovietch of fish no coconut fish no barbeque wings, these where the foods i wanted to try, very dissappionted.The oxtail only had bones left but gravy was very nice , mutton was plentyfull also very nice, rice and peas lovely jerk chicken nice fried dumpling nice, we ate till we was full but so let down on the food that was missing. Now the deserts well what can i say, tin fruit cocktail tubs of icecream few pieces of one inch diced dry cake with no custard or anything else which was in the same cabinet as the salad and coleslaw.The conclusion is the food we had was very good but as for the buffet idea things need to improve greatly from the decor the quantity /variety of food not having the manager/owner on the next table with his calculator/paper work that should be kept out of sight. would i visit again ? not for a buffet maybe a takeaway.

We rang Sharon the manager an hour or so before descending on the restaurant to check if they could manage a party of 12 of us at such short notice and she did and what a fantastic evening it was . The food was excellent - my favourite and of most of our party was the chicken soup with spinners , yam ,etc just super delicious !!!

We came here for a family function, there were 25 of us and the food and service was great! There was a good selection of dishes to try that had the home cooked feel. Music playing in the background was a nice touch too. The only reason why I haven’t given 5 stars is down to them not having any Guinness punch in.

Very Caribbean from the layout to the music. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. This place has lots of space and a separate bar for meeting up. Eat as much as you want for a fixed price, it wasn’t short of customers on a Saturday night.

Visited Chez Coors in the old Antibos building on a cold winter Saturday evening but what a lovely warm welcome we had.

I visited the old chez coors and was very disappointed at the lack of choice and quantity. I thought new bigger premises........same old story. We booked for 7.30 seated for about 8.10pm. There was again very little choice and not much of what there was to choose from. Jerk chicken had to wait ages and then when it did come out it was gone in seconds. Dumplings, there were a few but not enough for our party to have 1 each, there were 7 of us. Very disappointed and will not be visiting again. There’s no way any one of us could have eaten £17 worth of buffet! We would have been lucky to have had £17 worth between us!

Reservé una mesa para 6 para un lunes por la noche para el cumpleaños de mi hija, viajé desde Mansfield para ser saludada por un restaurante cerrado. ¡Aparentemente la señora que tomó la reserva olvidó que estaban cerrados un lunes! Supuestamente llamé a mi teléfono móvil el domingo por la noche para avisarme, pero sin respuesta, y no me molesté en dejar ningún mensaje.

Reservé una mesa para 3 por teléfono para el sábado 3 de noviembre para 7. 00. A su llegada, no hubo confirmación de la reserva, pero obtuve una mesa sin problemas ya que el restaurante estaba casi vacío. Esa fue la única interacción con cualquier miembro del personal durante toda la noche (¡que no duró más de 40 minutos!) El ambiente estaba muerto, la decoración era impactante (como estar en una guardería infantil), la interacción del personal era cero, aparte del extraño ceño. El servicio de buffet, por lo que tomamos la decisión de conseguir un plato para encontrar casi cualquier alimento en cualquiera de los platos calientes, había 4 variaciones de estofado de pollo / pollo / curry, de los cuales 1 o 2 tenían comida en ellos. La carne se había caído del hueso en algún momento, ¡así que terminaste por llevar un plato a la mesa lleno de huesos! Nadie se molestó en quitar los platos, así que lo hizo usted mismo y pedir un cuchillo y un tenedor adicionales fue un esfuerzo. Este ejercicio inútil duró 30 minutos, decidimos que un postre sería una buena idea, para encontrar una tina de helado de fresa en el congelador. . . . . . ¡vacío! ! !

Reservamos por adelantado como una familia de 13 para celebrar un cumpleaños familiar. A la llegada nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y nuestra orden de bebidas fue tomada y las bebidas trajeron poco después. Sopa, seguida del plato principal y del desierto fue disfrutada por todos. El personal fue atento a todas nuestras peticiones y profesional. Nuestra única preocupación era que la estación de comida fuera tomada rápidamente y que necesitara reposición rápidamente y que no todos los alimentos estuvieran etiquetados. En general, disfrutamos de nuestra celebración familiar porque estábamos juntos, estábamos bien alimentados y atendidos por el personal de Chez Coor.

Salí a comer a los 8 de la tarde, no me malinterpreten, la comida que conseguimos comer era agradable, pero la cantidad era muy limitada. El cordero al curry, la sopa de cordero, el arroz blanco, la bola de masa frita, las alitas de pollo a la barbacoa eran todo lo que se ofrecía e incluso tenían que seguir esperándolos tan pronto como seguían sacando una comida Lil a la vez, ¡se había ido de inmediato! No hay suficiente comida para la cantidad de clientes! Incluso una espera de 20 minutos en el arroz! ¡No me dijeron que había un menú muy limitado para pagar el precio extremadamente alto de 17! Te sugiero que si vas aquí asegúrate de ir temprano cuando realmente tienen comida!

Fuimos a comer el sábado 27 de octubre en el nuevo restaurante ubicado en la calle del parlamento inferior, centro de la ciudad de Nottingham a las 8 pm. Éramos un grupo de 8 personas. Pagamos 17 cada uno. Todos estábamos sentados, ¡Sólo para encontrar que el obuffet se había quedado sin comida! ! Solo queda un poco de alitas de pollo de cordero y barbacoa con arroz mínimo. Todos logramos juntar un plato, cada uno de los cuales sabía muy bien, agregaré. Nos aseguraron en las tres ocasiones que pedimos que salía más comida, pero eso no sucedió. La cola se quedó esperando con los platos vacíos. La comida fue traída en una ocasión, que era tiras de pollo y un cuarto de sopa que no era suficiente para alimentar a la cola. Para entonces, ni siquiera se dejaba comer arroz o una bola de masa frita. Ninguna gerencia vino a pedir disculpas ni siquiera a ofrecer una bebida complementaria o un descuento en nuestra factura. Esperamos hasta las 9. 45 pm por más comida, pero nada, así que nos fuimos Y el precio completo todavía se cobró! ! ! Extremadamente decepcionante! ! !

Rang me about 15min in to tell me they didn't have the Seasoned Callaloo - shame. Fried plantain - Tiny portion each! nice & sweet. Rice and Peas = rice and red beans. ok but very dry, not really seasoned. Hard Food - Steamed yam, dumplings and green banana. wanted to try this traditional dish again -first time in many years. I really didn't like it. Flavourless, stodgy. ate all but dumplings because I was was so hungry. I'd never order it again - but that's just my taste - not quality issue. Also had no sauce of any kind to go with them. Fresh Green Salad - came in the Tiny pot that Indian takeaways put their poppadom dips in. Unbelievable that I paid for that! I rang up about that service over the phone was nothing but Lovely, Polite and said they'd see to that being resolved for next time. also apologised for it taking so long as was oversubscribed tonight. On that note, I'd be inclined to come back - If they have the selection of food I'd want/enjoy. Steamed veg - Mostly cabbage, odd bits of grated carrots, peas and sweetcorn - expected more of a mix - supposed to be "Jamaican Spices" but didn't taste of anything but moist cabbage - was fine though for what it was. Because vegetarian (Vegan actually) - that was the only bit of the meal not bone dry/stodgy. You need some kind of like tomato/coconut milk sauce option for Vegan please. Along with pumpkin, Ackee, Callaloo and Okra greens and veg etc but cooked, seasoned Jamaican style. Then I'd return. I had Jamaican at a stall at the Vegan Festival and Loved it!! But sorry to say I feel like I massively wasted my money and hungry-time this time around.

Visitamos esta noche con amigos y dos adolescentes. Tan pronto como entras hay un personal encantador ambiente era muy amable y alegre. El servicio era mesas estaban hermosamente ubicada, y el restaurante está muy limpio y bien cuidado. Decidimos cenar en el buffet tenedor que era fabuloso, la comida era deliciosa, caliente y fresco bien sazonada. Había una buena variedad de comida disponible y también ofrecen la opción de llevar a precios razonables. Qué lugar tan encantador sin duda volveré y lo recomiendo altamente.

I can't rate the food as it never showed up. Ordered it around 7.30pm it was supposed to be delivered at 8.40pm called to ask where it was and they said it was on its way but I'm still waiting for it now at 10.00pm and now have realised that it is closed for the night AND IM STILL HAVNT GOT MY FOOD

Really bad service food is never on time and always wrong Not matter what time they give you it's never once on time and food is always cold. 4 times I've ordered and 4 times its been late once over a hour late and last night 30 minutes late. Really really bad do not order it's a complete waste of time you even have to re heat the food it's so cold lol what a joke

Great mutton rice and peas. Ordered callaloo but it wasn't available and replaced with steamed veg which was a bit bland.

2 hour and 20 mins it took to be deliverd and half of my order wasnt there phoned to find out that i couldnt get the rest of my food deliverd so was just left with rice never ordering from here again
