jerk Junction in Manchester

We came to Manchester to visit our daughter at Uni. We were hungry and went to a few places on the same road, but walked straight out. This place came up in google. You can smell the food in the air coming down the road. It has a nice relaxing chilled vibe inside, reggae music playing. From a family of chefs who respect the art. Well what can I say we were not disappointed. We ordered the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, mutton, steam veg, coleslaw and dumplings & a red stripe. Highly recommended, the food was on point, big portions wholesome full of flavour food. I’m a hungry guy and the standard portion was more than enough. We all could not get enough, amazing, well done you guys are doing a great job, no nonsense Jamaican Food.

Decided to treat myself as I was visiting Manchester for the day and after seeing the place advertised on Instagram thought I give it a try. OMG….the food was amazing. Can’t thanks the staff enough as the food tasted sooo good. Will definitely be going back for more next time I’m in Manchester. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This place used to be my go to for quality Caribbean food, however, I feel as though since their reopening and rebranding the food has lost its authenticity. Portion sizes are significantly smaller and the prices are significantly more pricey. Slightly disappointing as this used to be my absolute favourite place to eat.

This place hasn’t been open for long. I went to the open evening and didn’t get a chance to sample any food there so hence our visit back. It was pretty quiet when we went. The food came, but wasn’t hot enough so we sent it back and it came back piping hot which was great! Nice flavours, we also took had a take away! Foos

So I visited these guys after match day at the MKT. I wasn’t all that blown away by the curry Goat, nothing really authentic about it, for the price of £15. I would honestly save my money and go elsewhere.

Really good atmosphere, and excellent music. Food was really good. Reccomend curried goat and cocktails. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend

Went to the Altrincham branch for a Sunday roast, thoroughly enjoyed the lamb - soft tender and flavoursome. Extremely efficient service and amazing drinks made by James - would go often if only I lived in Manchester! Also have lovely decor in the restaurant

Visited Jerk Junction in Altrincham I’ve been to quite a lot of Caribbean food places in my time but the curried goat from Jerk Junction was amazing, I have never tasted anything like it , so tasty and the meat was so tender… staff were so lovely and friendly too This will be my new go to every Saturday😁

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service provided at Jerk Junction! One of the staff Melissa was so welcoming and created some really enticing, flavourful and creative food for my boyfriend and I!

So hard to find authentic jerk chicken these days, these guys know what they are doing!! Flavours and presentation 10/10, my new go to for yard food in manny!

Ordered my food for £66 and I love this place normally absolutely spot on but I have to admit I bought 3 chicken curry and rice there was literally no chicken they sold me curry sauce and rice I had a jerk chicken and rice that was bang on just pretty annoying paying so much and getting no chicken

Jerk Junction is outstanding! I have been several times and have never been able to fault the food or the staff. It is quite possibly the best jerk outside of Jamaica. I have tried a range of dishes and drinks and would recommend everything. Try the jerk chicken rice and peas first if you haven't been before, and you'll definitely be back!

Went for tea with my partner and son, drove from Oldham after wanting to visit for a while. Went to order and everything we wanted to try they didn’t have, no patties, wings, chops, Mac and cheese, they didn’t even have fries. They had the jerk chicken which they said was lovely. But I ended up not having anything. Like I said disappointed, I’d phone ahead to make sure they have food in before you waste your time. Sorry 😞

Friend of mine took me here and I'm glad he did. Food was incredible. If I didn't live 3 hours away I would be a regular! The mac n cheese is unreal.

Went into jerk junction at 18.10 placed an order did not receive order until 19.50 absolutely disgusting. At least 10 other people came in while i was waiting and placed there orders and received them before myself We were given no explanation or apology for...

A meal used to be £6, it is now £9, which I can handle, however the price for the same thing to be delivered is £14.80?! + service charge + delivery fee. Staff are also very ignorant and have zero customer service skills.

Placed a £100 order at 13:30 only for it to be cancelled at 19:30, an hour before collection due to having no Jerk Chicken would you believe! Look after the customers who have already paid for their orders or practice forward planning!

Food was fab. I would have love more sauce, we end up eating the rice without sauce because it was soaked to just one part of the plate. Probably go for disposable plate with divided parts. Just my opinion.

Lovely, polite delivery lady. Meal was nice but the apple pie and custard was freezing like it had come direct from a refrigerator. I do not own or use microwaves.

The food had absolutely no flavour and was really bland. The Pattie was dry and when I mentioned this to the person on the phone - they ignored it and said that everything was fresh so I was wrong. Would definitely not order from here again!

Delicious Jamaican food, a must have

Delivery was great but the chicken was not cooked properly and it was not safe to eat so we had to throw away a lot of that. Taste was good but the pink chicken just put us off... It’s a shame, we very much looked forward to that meal.

They give a really long delivery time when you order, which will make me think again when I am hungry. However, the food was good albeit the fish was over fried and a bit too dry and crispy. They don’t seem to have the correct takeaway containers for drinks but I was still happy with my meal.

Do not order from here.took over a hour to arrive and when did noooooooo tasteless ive been cooking Caribbean all my life n bland as .you are picking out bones from the brown stew chicken n rice coz they use cheap cuts of meat i.e chicken neck who eats chicken neck.trust me dont waste you money

Unfortunately I couldn't finish my brown stew chicken and rice and peas because the amount of small bones, the amount of bones I was picking out was rediculus, but the food was very tasty

Absolutely adore the lady who delivered it, and they’re the best dumplings I’ve eaten yet - they remind me of the ones my Aunt used to make and takes me back to the family BBQ’s as a kid. 10/10

Order early as long wait times, the food is nice nothing special though sorry, I hate the way its packaged it comes in one big tray for example unlike other takeaways that separate the mains from the sides so you order curry goat and rice and it comes in one big tray, so by the time it comes most of the curry sauce is soaked in the rice, i find this is the same as other Jamaican food places though, they really need to start using the plastic tubs or metal containers like most takeaways. Low star rating is for the way its packaged not the taste.

Restaurant did not have what I ordered and took over 90minutes to deliver. food did not have much sauce and was bland.

I did not go in a restaurant it was takeaway / Staff are friendly, professional and efficient. Contacted and refunded to let me know was out of 1 item, food was served hot and fresh. Absolute bang on!

Order delivery time could be quicker ordered at 17:30 delivered 19:00hrs at the time they said it would be delivered.

Used to be great food but wasn’t that great not much chicken or goat though patties are still lovely.

Staff answering customer calls are very abrupt, though having previously collected an order and experienced the same, verging on rude, attitude, I really shouldn't have been surprised. A Customer Services professional myself, I expect staff to appreciate that customers are the reason they are employed and should not be treated as an irritation. I won't be ordering from them again.

We enjoy food from here on a regular basis, usually without complaint. I can cope with it being late, which it usually is, however on this occasion it arrived with missed items. The order was taken away by the driver with the view that new food would come out to us. However an additional 45 minutes went by and the same food arrived back with us minus the same items - only now the food was cold. The missing items turned up a few minutes later, and we negotiated a refund of £10 (paid £18.30 for the order) with the reluctant driver. When we eventually got to eat the food, disappointingly we each had one very small piece of chicken and next to no gravy. We will be ordering elsewhere for a while till standards and portion sizes return to normal.

so they didnt have what i ordered and they called me to substitute and change my order which i reluctantly agreed after ive paid by card and i have no choice. The food arrived and tasted nothing like the quality it should be. im not happy about this

I’m going to be totally honest I was really hungry and when I ordered my food at 19:55 and it was confirmed for delivery at 21:25 I almost cancelled. The curry goat was beautiful plenty of meat with rice and peas I just wish they gave free steamed veg since it cost so much money. The only problem I had was the fried chicken wings! they tasted like the oil needed to be changed, I had 1 and threw the rest in the bin. everything else that I ordered was divine I was so disappointed with the chicken and I love chicken wings.

One of my favourite places for Jamaican food as it has flavour and a kick. The rice and peas are not too dry. I love the pineapple punch.

I have used this takeaway alot but tonight the food quality has been absolutely poor. I ordered bbq chicken wings and instead I got fried chicken wings which were awful. I ordered two Veg and got given one. The dumpling was very hard and dry and the plantain was over cooked. I will not be using them again.

food looked like scraps and arrived cold and arrived without any utensils, tried contacting the shop when my order was late and no response. I also ordered apple crumple and I couldn’t get my fork through the crumple which annoyed me even more.

Waited 2 hours for food but when it came it was delicious I have to give them that. The order was wrong and the service not great as I thought they might have offered a discount for waiting so long but I phoned just eat and they offered a voucher so alls not so bad with that and having said that I would definitely eat here again its so good. 10/10 for the food and worth the wait in the end anyway. I would not have been happy if that was disappointing as well.

The food was extremely late, they didn't bother to deliver until they were closing for business at the end of the night. The women on the phone were extremely rude to us when we asked what the ETA was. They continued to say it was on its way and hanging up on us. The food came about 2 hours late. The food itself tasted ok.

Plantain replaced with patties, I don't like patties. Did not receive a phone call to confirm if I even wanted these!
