Heard good things so came all the way down from London to taste-Best food in MCR!

Quality of food was not great. The food seemed to be lacking all sense of spice and taste, to the point the mac and cheese was bland. I’d recommend Trap Kitchen instead.

I ordered from the Birmingham branch. Usually the food never disappoints. However, my most recent order left me feeling ill due to the amount of grease in their food. The bang bang prawns I cannot fault however the mac and cheese and salmon was overly sickly and greasy. The waffles are only nice if you enjoy them covered in mac and cheese and BBQ sauce. Please do yourself a favour and put them in a separate box. And lord oh mighty don’t get me started on the “broccoli tempura”…stay clear unless you like big battered balls of green mush 🤢

Another level of stoner food. The average person wouldn’t put fried chicken with waffles, oreo’s and white chocolate sauce but it works and I’m about to cry tears of deep, unadulterated joy.

Food is amazing! My bf and I go at least once an week😅 Especially the Mac and cheese wowowow 😍

Only store pick up or 3rd party delivery, there’s no dine-in service… but what a fantastic place I discovered by mere chance. Food and service is awesome you won’t regret it at all. My Goodness, The flavoured prawns….fantastic!. I also love their sweet potato chips I’m trying the lobster next😋

This CHICKEN IS PINK AND UNDERCOOKED. Do not go here if you care about your health do not go here currently suffering with food poisoning from this meal it’s so disgusting , I was so excited to try this place out aswell SMH , it’s so blatantly bad chicken, how as a restaurant which is centred around chicken be so poor at cooking it , food poisoning is a serious thing it can kill people make people seriously ill , my little cousins had some of the chicken before I noticed it they could have food poisoning aswell , they are literally poisoning people with their food , place should honestly be shut down it’s rancid will never order here again and I suggest you should order else where as they may give you food poisoning aswell

Trap Diner is the best food I’ve had in so long. I travel from Liverpool all the time just for this food. It’s always cooked so fresh and the portion sizes are very generous. Staff are absolutely lovely Aswell. They have a pre order option on their website so it’s super easy and quick to order it for 3pm when they open. 100% recommended to anyone who likes this kind of cuisine!!

Visited trap kitchen Camden. Looks nice inside, better than the Balham branch. The food was good but be careful as they charge you for random items. I paid £10 extra for nothing!

I eat from the Birmingham shop and they come through every single time. Portions are a great size for the price , well flavoured , im always impressed. The photo I have attached is when I’ve already started eating , I couldn’t stop and wait to take a picture.

Ordered 3 dishes and only 1arrived. Sent it back with the driver. Told it would be an hour to fix. Just cancelled in the end.

Came here on a quiet night. Ordered food, waited 2 hours. Food was still not here, asked twice how long it would be and they said its being made. 30 minutes later it was still being made, all in all 3 hours for food. Could have driven down to london in that time, don't know if they're farming for the food fresh from the source because this is utter shambles. Still waiting as I type up this review, only now been informed there was a mix up. No apology, no refund or atleast have some sort of refund. I'm all for supporting local businesses but this is taking the biscuit.

Popped by the Trap Kitchen BALHAM after seeing it on Instagram. I've heard mixed reviews, but I wanted to see for myself. This is what I took from my experience.. #Pros Good cocktails (Recommend the slush, avoid the Henny Berry) Edible straws (Love the idea, just don't eat it, it's not very nice) Good spirits list Good customer service #Cons Limited food menu - only 3 options, plus sides - only 2 topping for waffles (no syrup or gravy etc) Small portion sizes Somewhat over priced for what you get #Nice to know A small venue with limited indoor and outdoor seating (might be worth booking in advance) Located close to Balham Station (Train/Tube) with reliable public transport links as well as off-street pay-and-display options The Trap Kitchen has the potential to be a great spot. The drinks are great, they just need to work on the quality of their food and portion sizes.

Sooo after the rave reviews on social media decided to give this place a shot...WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE. The food was so dry my jaws are still aching. The chicken, lobster and prawns whilst appeared to have been seasoned tasted bland. The rice tasted grainy. I am still trying to understand the thought process behind serving the dessert in the same box as the main meal?! Definitely would not recommend nor will I be visiting again.

I made in order, i was waiting for 2 hours ,I phoned them up more then 3 times, and they keep saying the food on the way, then when I called the them the last time, they said the driver was out side and no one answered??? If instagram is anything to go by, we expected the food at Trap Kitchen to be saucy, fresh and to come in decent portions but genuinely, after tonight’s visit I urge you not to waste your time or money. We ordered Ballers Combos and everything was SO overcooked; the food has clearly been pre-prepared and sat under a warmer for hours waiting to be ordered. The lobster was absolutely rock solid and we had to snap the shells just to get it out. The prawns were shrivelled up and rubbery and again, the chicken was dry as sticks. Instagram makes the food look super saucy and authentic but everything is just so dry and bland - it’s not salty or remotely spicy, everything just tastes like it’s been covered in cheap out the bottle seasoning. The food all felt like it had been sat around for hours (I’d even say possibly from the day before) progressively getting more and more dry. The Mac and cheese was the best part but again - tasted the same as everything else in the box and pretty dry. The waffles were ok but really lacking sauce, adding more dryness to an already dry box of food. The sides were the only decent part of the meal we ordered - the lobster and prawns should really be the highlight of the meal, we weren’t paying £20 for some basic Mac and cheese, and a couple of pre-made waffles. Trap Kitchen could so easily get this right by cooking the food to order and adding more sauce (like they show on Instagram!) - some tasty garlic butter or spicy jerk seasoning but it feels like the staff are “over it” both in terms of service and the food they’re sending out. All the feedback on here says the same thing but they don’t seem to be taking any of it on board. We genuinely really wanted to love Trap Kitchen but we were so disappointed we won’t be going back and can’t recommend.

I got the seafood meal which was £15 and my sister got a mixed box. The lobster, prawns and chicken were overcooked and it was cold. My sisters fork literally broke trying to get it out of the chicken. I mean the rest was decent but it really does not live up to the hype. One thing that made the experience better though was the guy who served us. I've had better at my local takeaway.

Visited trap kitchen and I have to say its one of the worst places I have been. Arriving you are met with a convoy of cars albeit the Q to order does go down quick enough. The guy who took our order was nice enough. We was then told to park on the opposite side of the road and the waiting time was around 40 minutes. Sat in the car patiently and an hour passed kept seeing the young girl coming out with bags of food and delivering them to other vehicles, a further half hour went by and still no sign of our food. We kept seeing other cars that had arrived after us getting their food before us and cars just pulling up to where you order, waiting there for 5 mins or so and getting their food straight away. After nearly 2 hours I stopped the girl who was delivering food to the vehicles to adv we had been waiting almost 2 hours where was our food? She advised she would go check another 30 minutes later the food finally arrived. The guy who brought it to the car gave me my receipt and noticed on the receipt the order had been put through at the time i had stopped the girl walking past my car so they hadn't even put the order through when we first ordered and had i not stopped the lady we probably wouldnt have received any food at all. Diabolical service especially considering the price of the food which I have to state is on par with a 2 for £10 from whetherspoons. The food was cold, the prawns were over cooked and the chicken was full of gristle. Very disappointed to say the least as from all the hype it gets on social media would have expected more or at the very least the service to be better. Not even an apology for the 2 hour wait. Wont be going back.

Clues in the title, all hype and definitely no sauce. So had dry lobster, prawns and rice. I love seafood and eat prawns often but ive made better at home. Come on, you cant serve dryer foods with no sauce.
