We had 6x rooms booked for wedding including the Ash suite paid extra for family and guests fur a wedding the Ash suite there was no hot water for bath and patio doors blowing open and rattling all night. There where still gift left in cupboard from 60th party. We booked 2x dressing gowns and slippers and put on our bill but where not allowed to take them.rang reception said no hot water and attitwas couldn't care less re water or patio doors they also explained not to take dressing gowns as did not belong to hotel.. Reception staff very cold and uncaring it seen they have had your money and not bothered we where a small party for wedding but should be treated as well as a 200 party not looked down on like something they stood in .the ceremony at the gretna Anville was amazing couldn't fault it fool if laughter and fun but also very professional by all concerned even the piper was outstanding the meal was lovely but very very slow booked for2.30 started gone 3 two course took 2houes ..then had to chase staff for clearing tables as everyone was getting bored by the time we got to coffee and shortbread which was extra there was only 6 at the table

Demasiado temprano para dejar caer una bolsa necesitaba comer, y tenía que comer aquí. ¡Horrible! Las hamburguesas son una gran parte del menú, ... no hay hamburguesas. Tenía salchichas y puré, guisantes como balas, piel de salchicha arrugada como si estuviera bajo una lámpara de calor. Marido tenía pizza que era tibia, pero estábamos realmente hambrientos. Una limonada J 20 era 7. 95 y una cerveza de 330 ml £ 6 + . ¿De qué se trata todo eso? También hacía frío, y eso era lo más alejado de la puerta. Tuvimos que ir a Starbucks por un café para calentar. ¡Cierto! Honestamente, no gastes tu dinero aquí.

I stayed here for 2 nights for a work visit to a client nearby. This was my 2nd choice as my 1st was fully booked but I wasn't disappointed. The room was small but I knew that when I booked it. The room & hotel was clean & warm. The food was above average for what I expected.

Myself and a group of 5 have never experienced a hotel that hides behind covid to give the worst possible service you could get. No hello, good morning, good evening or can I help you. Asking for any extra items we dreaded. To be fair the son in law just about made it bearable. As a group we spent over £1000 in this place and was treated appallingly. we had traveled to complete a walk ticking off the munroes. We asked if we could have an early breakfast because of the heart to the reply “ don’t do early breakfast it’s between 8/9. So we asked for some cereal to be left and toast . We was left I box of mini cereal each nothing else at a cost of £50:£60 per night. The morning we left I found that the cost of the trip had been taken from my bank account without my knowledge . The card was used to secure the booking abs was not told at any point it would be used as we where 3 separate couples. No discussion that this had happened on the first day we arrived .I thought my account had been hacked and was seen upset at breakfast yet still nothing said. Under the current climate you would expect nothing less than manners especially when you are paying guest.

Love this place for a stop-off between Manchester and Glasgow! It's just lovely for lakeside stroll with soft grass to picnic on and paths to explore away from cars and roads.

Food was nice but service was awful. Overcharged nearly three times the bill, told it would be refunded but not told it would take 3 to 5 days. Member of staff was just not listening.

Disappointing visit. Ordered a ham salad which I'd had before. Unfortunately, the ham was wafer thin stuff out of a packet rather than the cooked ham on the bone I had previously had. No onion and the portion was small. I'd been raving to my friends about the great quality of their salads but this was a real let down. Expensive for what it was. The staff member was telling every customer how short staffed they were. It's a pity she couldn't keep her thoughts to herself

He estado en Edimburgo muchas veces como turista y trabajo. Mi novia española y yo fuimos a tomar una cerveza durante el festival. Una vez besé a mi señora cerca de la puerta. Un cliente sentado con varios otros se cruzó y habló con mi novia en mi ausencia y más tarde vino y me dijo: "Este es un viejo pub de tíos, así que no te beses aquí. Si quieres hacer eso, ve a otro pub. " Él, como yo, tiene unos 50 años, lleva un polo negro de rugby de Bárbaro. Me sorprende la extraña hostilidad de alguien que es un cliente habitual allí.

A last minute lunch visit and we ended up coming here as we had never been. The food was nice, it's good value and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had young children with us and my Aunt wanted to give one of them a belated birthday cake, which the staff assisted with

He estado aquí varias veces. Esta vez la mayoría de los asientos fueron ocupados por personas solteras con computadoras portátiles utilizando el wifi (incluido uno en la cabina de 4 asientos) y un pequeño grupo con tres niños ruidosos. Tuve que sentarse en un taburete incómodo en el medio del café con la gente cepillando. Personal amable y servicio rápido. Bebida servida en una taza sin asa. Las opciones de comida se suspendieron hace tiempo. Hay un montón de otras cafeterías en la zona no irá aquí de nuevo.

No dejes comentarios sobre Starbucks, pero este merece algunas palabras. Pedí un café. Me equivoqué de orden antes de hacerlo y me cobró 5 peniques por una taza a pesar de que me senté. Bonito servidor australiano chico me ofreció un reembolso y luego compré el café también. Excelente atención al cliente. Merry Christmas.

Absolutely delicious food and such a warm welcome from the delightful staff especially our waiter who had only just started and had come from Peru. Sorry, I can't remember the name of our waiter but he was utterly charming and attentive. We will be back and would recommend The Grey Gull 100%

Wow The service here was shocking 7/10/2022 Firstly girl behind counter you could fit a carpet in her bottom lip Looked depressed No please no thank you Anyways on to the next girl Blonde hair I waited like 5 mins for my order 😩 I thought they had forget about it. When I approached the counter to ask they put there hand up and says you'll get yr drink when it's ready I run my own shop just up road and would never or never even thought about treating a customer like that even when it's quiet nevermind busy
