The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Have to agree with so many of the other reviews ... many of the staff looked like they did not want to be there ... lots of huffing and puffing going on with one of the young female servers. The lady who 'greeted' us looked like she did not want to be there. Staff need to smile! Wont be returning due to staff attitudes I am afraid. Too many other places to go to risk going back.

I had a breakdown, so ended up at the services, went to Costa while waiting for breakdown assistance. Was greeted really warmly, and when I explained my predicament the young lady serving (Heather) was really upbeat and positive, which was just what I needed. She was not only pleasing and cheerful, she had a really good knowledge of the products on offer, as I was a little unsure what to offer she gave me a few options and described them and ended up offering something I’d never normally order- and it was lovely! She also recommended the pistachio biscuit/bake which again was very nice! High quality service like this should definately be commended and I hope whoever is in charge recognises and commends her suitably! She’d certainly be a good example for other staff, or maybe in a training role? I’d normally avoid services but I’ll be sure to stop by if I’m passing again! Thanks

The new Brasserie is really nice and beautifull furnished. The food was excellent and the menu had a good set up. We had a chowder and the scampis as starter, the duck and the chicken balmoral as main and the panacota at the end. All beautifull served and very tasting. A real good experience and we will come again, thanks

Had lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.

Visited this pub a few times recently when visiting Glasgow. Nice old building and menu is standard pub grub with a good selection of beers and wines on offer. Friendly service. Kid friendly.

Go to this branch regularly . On Thursday 15 th may we were in and unfortunately I spilt our drink . ABDY gave excellent service getting a replacement drink and cleaning up the mess . Very polite and helpful . If you have employee of the month I vote for him

Nice eatery at the end of the road --- literally! We were in the Road End Cottage across the way - so had to eat here upon arrival on a Saturday night. Good service - nice food. lovely view of harbour and when it gets dark the fairy lights are a nice touch.

Un café limpio decente con buena comida a un precio decente. Mesas limpias y limpiadas rápidamente. Se puso muy ocupado pero no afectó el servicio. El personal es muy servicial y amable, un buen lugar para llamar para su descanso en Princess street

Great food we had the venison stew and balmoral chicken both were fantastic Staff really freindly would highly recommend

My meal had been forgotten and so I had to wait for another 20 minutes whilst my party ate theirs. The fish pie was full of bones and when we went to pay I was offered no recompense. We tried to add a tip for the staff but the bar man used some colourful language to the staff around him as he couldn't work the till. Very poor all round

Food is good , but again I'm Waiting for nearly 2 hours ! Just rediculous- food stone cold I'll be going elsewhere now

Mareel is brilliant, the young staff are so friendly and welcoming, we have been twice during our week long stay on Shetland mainland. The free wifi was the draw the first time. lots of quiet work spaces available and good wifi. I worked in the cafe on my second visit. My decaf (not always available in small venues) latte was topped with a gorgeous fluffy cloud of steamed milk. The wraps from the fridge (I chose bacon& egg) were stuffed full of filling too, a really nice change from the supermarket options that have hardly any filling once you get past the first mouthful. I thought the price was good too. The seating in the cafe was great, a mix of tables chairs and comfy sofas. I didn't try any cakes but they looked grand and I overheard a conversation saying they were freshly baked during the week

Hemos estado viniendo aquí durante años, pero hoy estábamos muy decepcionados ya que el café era bastante horrible. Era de color oscuro pero carecía totalmente de sabor. Pedimos leche caliente con nuestros americanos, pero los vasos se llenaron casi hasta el borde, así que tuve que pedir que nos dieran un poco de leche. Sabor completamente diferente al habitual.
