used a groupon for afternoon tea. we arrived around 1130am (had booked) no table free or ready, eventually got a tiny table that was over taken by the afternoon tea stand, tea pots, plates etc. cakes were delicious, same with scones. nice mix of sandwich flavours and tasted fresh. quiches were quite clearly microwave and had soft pastry. would not pay full price for afternoon tea.

Excelente ubicación. La comida era excepcional y excelente relación calidad-precio. Fue una comida de cumpleaños y no fue decepcionado. Mi esposa y yo fuimos tratados como miembros de la realeza por todos los miembros del personal. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente.

Menú muy mínimo. No se puede utilizar el pedido en línea a pesar de estar anunciado en el menú. Pedido en el bar, solo un joven sirviendo. Sin mencionar el retraso, pero la comida tardó 45 minutos en llegar (dos hamburguesas apenas cordon bleu). Myself and a group of 5 have never experienced a hotel that hides behind covid to give the worst possible service you could get. No hello, good morning, good evening or can I help you. Asking for any extra items we dreaded. To be fair the son in law just about made it bearable. As a group we spent over £1000 in this place and was treated appallingly. we had traveled to complete a walk ticking off the munroes. We asked if we could have an early breakfast because of the heart to the reply “ don’t do early breakfast it’s between 8/9. So we asked for some cereal to be left and toast . We was left I box of mini cereal each nothing else at a cost of £50:£60 per night. The morning we left I found that the cost of the trip had been taken from my bank account without my knowledge . The card was used to secure the booking abs was not told at any point it would be used as we where 3 separate couples. No discussion that this had happened on the first day we arrived .I thought my account had been hacked and was seen upset at breakfast yet still nothing said. Under the current climate you would expect nothing less than manners especially when you are paying guest.

We stayed here for a couple of nights last weekend, having had our wedding reception here in 1971. We moved south after we got married so we were visiting old haunts. The large room we had was ideal, overlooking the car park and beer garden. There was a very large TV on the wall and a well equipped en- suite. The bed also was extremely comfortable. The two evening meals, and the breakfasts were first class, served by very attentive friendly staff. Having read some reviews I was a wee bit hesitant in booking but found most of the negative comments extremely harsh. There was a 21st birthday function on the Saturday, which we were advised of when we checked in, and there was certainly no noise or disturbance above normal. Prices, although different to 1971 visit, also were what you would expect. Only minor points I would raise are that the room door is quite difficult to open, and also when I was trying to book online the price for our room including breakfast was £60 extra for two people for two nights. This is double the actual price, and even more if you order a small breakfast. Very confusing! But these are small points. All in it was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Wow The service here was shocking 7/10/2022 Firstly girl behind counter you could fit a carpet in her bottom lip Looked depressed No please no thank you Anyways on to the next girl Blonde hair I waited like 5 mins for my order 😩 I thought they had forget about it. When I approached the counter to ask they put there hand up and says you'll get yr drink when it's ready I run my own shop just up road and would never or never even thought about treating a customer like that even when it's quiet nevermind busy

Was recommended here as I am celiac and they have a gf menu. As we were unsure what time we would be going (prior commitment before hand) I did not book. We arrived at 2.45pm and there was a sign outside saying 'bookings only, no walk ins' This was NOT on their website. We went in and spoke to a female member of staff who advised exactly what the sign had said. I then spoke to a male member of staff and asked where on their website it stated what the sign said, he said it didn't. Advised that due to rugby being on, they were unusually busy. The restaurant is large and they were not full to capacity. Asked if there was anyway we could have a table for 2 for an hour, point blank told no. We won't be returning.

Coffee was pretty poor. Only 3 biscuits on offer. Worst thing was the place was FREEZING. Staff were all wearing coats and hats inside. Perhaps problem with heating? If so they should have closed! Or given coffee for free! We left early!

Booked for a family group of 6 for the pottery painting . They were only expecting 3. Poor lady trying to staff the shop , cafe ( which btw now only does drinks and cake , not as advertised light lunches etc ) . Takes place at a table in what was the excellent cafe previously. Someone sent over from factory to ‘mix glaze’ . Neither she nor he had any experience of doing this. Was advertised as paint a medium mug or a beaker. Apparently no medium mugs only beakers. No instruction, no guidance left on our own to proceed . Would have left but didn’t want to disappoint the three children. No idea what colour the glazes would turn out! Got on with it …no idea what to do! no one came back to check on us and when we’d finished had to seek someone out to see how to identify ours and when would be ready. One of the party eventually found someone to find some forms online and download! Absolute fiasco from start to finish. Given the high end brand International ANTA pottery name, was really disappointed and surprised. Don’t bother with this activity, should not be advertised as they really are not set up to do this.

Excelente lugar. Grandes pasteles DF y GF un montón de opciones. Encantador café. Sin duda recomiendo. Música no muy alta. Bonito ambiente

Fui pensando que encontraría más variedad para el desayuno porque había leído comentarios antiguos, pero encontré que solo tenían un par de dulces para el desayuno, café y té. Nada más variedad. Por supuesto, el lugar es bueno para estar leyendo en paz.
