used a groupon for afternoon tea. we arrived around 1130am (had booked) no table free or ready, eventually got a tiny table that was over taken by the afternoon tea stand, tea pots, plates etc. cakes were delicious, same with scones. nice mix of sandwich flavours and tasted fresh. quiches were quite clearly microwave and had soft pastry. would not pay full price for afternoon tea.

No es de extrañar que esta multitud esté en dificultad. Qué desastre. Nadie para saludarte y sentarte. Entonces nadie toma tu pedido. No hay rollo sangriento en los baños. Oh querido. 1/10 y eso es generoso.

He visitado otra pastelería Valerie antes, Aberdeen excelente, pobre de plata.

Amazing cakes and plenty of choices and a bit dearer than most bakers but worth it as their cakes are real quality, but last thing at night when they have been sitting all day they are not as good as earlier in the day.

Visited here with my wife for afternoon tea and sat at only table available which had dishes from previous customers.Girl came to clear away dishes and gave the table a half hearted wipe.We ordered two coffees which came a good 10 minutes before the food and were lukewarm by the time we came to eat. Also a reserved table which came in after us for afternoon tea were served before us.When the food arrived which was nothing special i had to go to counter and ask for cutlery and napkins. I then noticed the table across from us had pots of jam for the scones so had to go back to counter again to ask for this.We visited with a groupon voucher but if i had to pay full price i would have felt ripped off.Save your money and go to a better establishment where the food and service is better.

Big barn of a place, so it was a bit on the cool side, but worth a visit for their great selection of beers and ales.

A last minute lunch visit and we ended up coming here as we had never been. The food was nice, it's good value and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had young children with us and my Aunt wanted to give one of them a belated birthday cake, which the staff assisted with

The lady who was working on 18th May with red hair was exceptionally rude. I asked her what coolers were available and she said “I don’t know, there are about 3000 of them. Just look at the screen” so I waited and there was 4 options so 3000 was slightly exaggerated. Extremely rude lady who should not be working with customers and should learn the menu.

The Black Bull is no more. The Bull was a decent wee auld man's boozer, handy for the station and with a decent pint too. It wasn't the best looking pub, but will be missed. 'Kentigerns', as it's now called, still does a decent pint and they've upgraded the decor. Full of students now, no atmosphere. Jury's out for now.
