Wow The service here was shocking 7/10/2022 Firstly girl behind counter you could fit a carpet in her bottom lip Looked depressed No please no thank you Anyways on to the next girl Blonde hair I waited like 5 mins for my order 😩 I thought they had forget about it. When I approached the counter to ask they put there hand up and says you'll get yr drink when it's ready I run my own shop just up road and would never or never even thought about treating a customer like that even when it's quiet nevermind busy

Been coming to this branch for 7 years - the current staff are the slowest staff the branch have had. 3 people serving & I’ve been stood 15 minutes waiting for a latte I pre-ordered 7 minutes before I arrived.

Starbucks. Qué puedo decir. . . . Simplemente quería pedir una buena taza de té inglés, sin embargo, nunca pensé que una tarea tan simple pudiera ser tan complicada. Después de examinar el exterior de las instalaciones, no me sorprendió que no me recibieran con un camarero o un servicio de mesa a mi llegada a Starbucks. El trabajador que me atendió estaba muy perplejo y se mostró bastante condescendiente conmigo cuando no sabía qué era una copa grande o venti. Mi esposa y yo estábamos buscando un lugar para tomar un café antes de asistir a un teatro cercano. Hay que reconocer que Starbucks era una de las pocas cafeterías que seguían abiertas a las 7 de la tarde. Sin embargo, esa es la única ventaja que pude encontrar. Al llegar, el lugar estaba bastante ocupado, pero logramos encontrar un asiento en la trastienda. El miembro del personal detrás del mostrador era agradable, pero parecía que se había levantado rápidamente. Al sentarnos a tomar nuestro café notamos tazas vacías esparcidas por todas las mesas vacías y el lugar estaba tan frío que tuvimos que mantener nuestras chaquetas puestas. El lugar también tenía una sensación de suciedad. Una visita al baño antes de irse no fue una experiencia particularmente agradable, ya que sentían que no se les había prestado atención durante algunas horas. En general, una experiencia de café bastante pobre y no puedo imaginar que volveré corriendo.

Visited here on sunday 21st july Prior to going to concert Two young members of saff Served me not once did iether actualy made eye contact they seemed more intrested in talking about there social circle of friends didnt point out where the Codiments were in relation to where i was being served One was actualy texting whilst On mobile behind serving counter Final straw third person appeared Wiping her noes on the back of her hand Toilets dirty floor sticky Pls get staff who are intrested In customers. this type of cutomer expierance does not do starbucke any favours Ps if mangement have cameras in situ try a having a look at them Hrs i in between 4.30 to 5.30

My cousin and I were in Edinburgh for 6 days. We stopped at several Local Grocers looking for cream (coffee) and could only find milk, soy and almond milk. I was devastated as I felt everyone had gone uber healthy. We were staying at an Air BnB on Lothian Road and stopped by Starbucks for a latte and hot chocolate. We asked the staff where could we purchase cream for coffee and they chuckled, and suggested a larger grocer but we were on foot and this was not THAT important. I am sorry I cannot remember the young girls name, but she was so nice and gave us a cup of cream gratis! We stopped by a few more mornings for our latte but did have our evening tea with cream. Thank you Starbucks on Lothian Road!!!! You are the best!

Took it back definitely tasted of my nemesis caramel he said nope simple syrup .....I waited for him to say I will make u another and I would’ve gone for a normal bald coffee mate .... he stared at me ....bottled it So I went sadly and sat down Dirty dark didn’t even have a nice restaurant Avoid that’s all I’m saying I’ve been in Starbucks all over the world this is the first ever where I’m speechless other than AVOID walk to another better still don’t be lazy like me find a nice local shop .....idiot me

First and last visit to this place, Lady on counter should not be dealing with the public, she should be behind the scenes somewhere.

The coffee is nice here and the regular staff as well, but the new ones are quite rude and careless.

I liked this store before but I haven’t been here for a while and the staff is different.When I came in they looked extermiley depressed and bored.I asked for a simple drink and they made a totally different one which was already weird when the guy charged me nearly 4 pounds.When I mentioned that I asked for something else the girl started to argue with me what I asked for instead if just making a new one.When she finally agreed with making another one she just poored the drink out from the cup and put the new one in the same cup.For me it was fine but if I would have nut allergy I would be dead by now.I don’t even have to mention that they didn’t bother with the difference. For this price this service is terrible especially that the store was quiet.

Great place to grab a coffee on the way to work or Princes Street - staff are always quick and friendly, and helpful when you don't really know what you fancy!

Standard good service, good coffee and cookies to enjoy inside or to take away. I find this Starbucks more intimate than others with the easy chairs through the back.

Abbiamo fatto colazione ogni giorno della nostra vacanza, il personale è molto cordiale e il locale è posto in un punto strategico a circa 10 minuti dal castello e dal royal mile e a circa 15 minuti di cammino da princes road.

This Starbucks was well situated, perhaps lacking atmosphere, coffee was good, clean premises. Just found waiting for the coffee in such a confined area a bit crowded.

Had a coffee in here today with my daughter. Not busy, but the service was painfully slow. We were asked for our names. Why? Not used to summon us (we had to harass them to produce the coffee). And no names on the mugs. But a friend of the staff came in with a dog, which was allowed round to the service area. Coffee was no better than OK. Won't be back, not even for a "hair of the dog".

Great staff and quick service. Love the extra seating area upstairs and the location is perfect. The coffee's were perfect as they mostly always are in Starbucks.

Love going here for my morning coffee, very friendly and helpful staff. It does get busy so sometimes best to do a mobile order if you have the Starbucks app.They do have seating, but again it can get busy around the afternoon and be difficult to find a seat.

During you break from the office, you can easily pop in and have a nice coffe or latte, sometimes is busy but the baristas are very quick.

This is a nice average coffee bar of its type. The staff are professional, hard-working and friendly. The coffee and the baked goods are of good quality. The toilets are a bit of a nightmare to find, but I suppose there's a reason for that.

The old partner serving slow as a scotrail train and made a mountain out of a mo-hill in getting my name right. I don't even know why they ask to get customers name what a stupid process ,when they can't even be bothered spelling it right and say provocative statements like why don't I shorten it ( "call you something else for short ), like how hard can it be to get a five letter name right that's repeatedly being spelt to you in clear English , also Starbucks like to portray itself as a global inclusive brand of course down-home in reality its nothing of the sort. , I suppose unless its a British sounding name their limited mind span goes into meltdown , not that cheap either fake American service ethos and partners to busy gabing , also there was a mean looking Spanish worker who loudly jumped the gun and intervened like I don't speak English in my own country I said I wanted a small size they started waving the cups around like they were on a meltdown. Its such a fake franchise with its fake have a nice day mantra in reality most of the staff look like they couldn't care less and on the evidence of this visit have o interpersonal skills or tact. A rip off brand. On a side note the regular staff you see on a Sunday are friendly especially the asian girl who makes the drinks.

Poor customer service poor quality tea made in a dirty cup. If you offer tea then know how to make it and do it in clean cups. Good customer service with a smile costs nothing.

I really like Starbucks but this visit on a Saturday early afternoon was very disappointing. There were two staff on and the place was a bit busy but not frantic. Both staff were friendly and attentive but clearly the place was understaffed. They were trying as best they could to support each other.My friend's coffee mug was hot out of the dishwasher but still had lipstick on one side - we cleaned it ourselves.It is a rather gloomy Starbucks with the grey walls and low lighting. there were few available clean tables Come on Starbucks - you should be able to do better than this.

This branch of Starbucks has the friendliest, most attentive staff I have encountered at any branch. They seem to look after their customers extremely well.

Went in here today and cannot fault the staff the service was very good they were all friendly and chatty. Got a sausage sandwich and this is the second one I have had but I have to say costa coffees is much better. The tables were not clean and there were dishes on most of them waiting to be cleared. The only other negative was the toilets which u have to get a code for to use. I went to the toilet took me three attempts with the code to get in. There were two toilets and both were utterly disgusting. I ended up washing my hands and leaving the sink also was in dire need of being replaced took me about 5 mins to get my hands wet.

Went in every day for a week during the fringe. Possibly the friendliest Starbucks staff on the planet. Only remember 2 names, Sam and Morag, but everyone was so smiley.

Dropped in for coffee and was met with happy smiling and bubbly staff (Sam) very knowledgeable and great at transferring info on all available produce in shop and very helpful to the enquiring tourist as well as knowing names of regular customers.. thanks.

ホテルがこちら方面(Haymarketなど）にある方には、オススメです。エディンバラ城に向かう途中にあるので、朝食がてら寄れます。無料WiFiも飛んでいるので、旅行計画などを立てるために立ち寄るのもいいかもしれません。席はここまであるの？というほど奥まで続いているのでよほど出ない限りは座って落ち着けると思います。

Like a little taste of home but more friendly. The staff greeted you by name and were very friendly. The coffee and snacks were delicious. We stopped nearly every day during our vacation.

I went for a quick cappuccino and was served by Grace the barista, who not only was very friendly but also made this great picture of a pine tree on my coconut milk cappuccino! (The picture is very faint, but the pine tree is there :) ) Her attitude and joy made a gloomy day brighter!

Arriving at the station we headed straight into the Starbucks sitting outside and the welcome we received from the young girl serving brightened our day. Very helpful and friendly she even brought our coffees over to our table. This makes such a difference when stopping in for a coffee break. They have a clever system with the toilets ensuring that only customers use them in giving a number code to punch in to open the door. A relaxing coffee and excellent ginger biscuits and we were on our way again.

Yay, American filtered coffee! I love European coffee with a mix of hot water and espresso, but I do miss traditional American filtered coffee. And no one serves coffee with cream or half and half. I don't like just milk in my coffee. So, I hit this Starbucks and they gave me a huge piping hot cup of coffee and when I asked for cream, they said, SURE. And then they said if I bring my empty cup back, I get a free refill. Great morning. However, the almond croissant was a day old. Other than that, happy day.

Wie die Starbucks Cafes so sind ist auch hier der Kaffee lecker wie überall. Dies war der Start unserer täglichen Ausflüge. Das Ambiente ist sehr schöne und lädt zum verweilen ein. Es ist auch nicht so viel los am Morgen so dass man gut seinen Kaffee geniessen kann. Wir hatten das Hotel ganz Inder nähe so war das für uns perfekt.

Popped in here with my bro. today for a cuppa and a muffin to warm up. The staff were very friendly, polite and well presented the server who took our order was especially nice ( even when I couldn't remember the code for the toilets she took the time to write it down for me) well done, sorry I don't know your name. And on the way out we got a goodbye from all the staff. If you are in Lothian road pop in for a coffee, the warmth of the staff matches the coffee they sell.

I tried reviewing this place the other day but for some reason trip advisor told me that I had violated their code of conduct.I don't understand why as it was a perfectly balanced crit of the offering here.So I,ll try again and this time not use words that I guess must have irked the bot that reads theses reviews.My main gist was that, while the staff are perfectly friendly and you are happy drinking the stuff they call coffee then this is the place for you. But I just happen to think there are hundreds of more interesting places with character and coffee, that tastes like coffee all around Edinburgh, without having to go to a place that are the same all over the globe.Have a snack and a tea in a genuinely local place and not only will it taste better you'll fell better for supporting the little independent owner rather than bunch a of shareholders in America.

As much as I enjoyed using the mobile app and ordering ahead, always ordering the same coffee - Americano with steamed skimmed milk and a dash of cream - I've stopped coming.Not only did I quickly realise that Cafe Nero is just down the road and significantly cheaper but I also had a couple of pretty bad experiences where the 'dash of cream' I had requested was pretty much a half cup full of cream. Coffee ended up being unbelievably thick and made me feel horrible, on a couple of occasions.I've now stopped getting 'half and half' which is normal in America for example and stopped going to Starbucks.Go to Nero!

This is as you'd expect for a Starbucks cafe with the usual selection of drinks and food. It was busy so we only just managed to get a seat. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Well was out with my 5 year old who announced he needed to use the restroom as kids do. We where 2 minutes away so popped in 2 girls at the till straight away asked how we where I ordered a coffee cause I feel toilets are for customers. The girls spoke to my son asking him what he was doing today and really engaged with him which can be difficult to do as he is autistic but they both had a natural way about them. When I asked where the restrooms were one girl went and opened the disabled toilet upstairs for us so we didn't have to go down stairs which for me was a huge help. Got back to the counter coffee was waiting for me with big smiles for us and wished us a good day. Just felt for being there 10 minutes a very genuine lovely coffee house Starbucks need to bottle that up and spread it to there other places.

Was surprised to see our second Starbucks after the one on Royal Mile. This one is about 5 minutes west of Grassmarket. No surprise, good coffee, friendly service in a small location.

Ok, so it caters to American tastes, but that's what the group was looking for. This is a typical Starbucks that had what we wanted at a convenient location.

It's on Lothian road, not far from a cinema, tons of restaurants, not far from the city centre or grassmarket. It's rarely busy too, so a very convenient meeting place before a day in Edinburgh.

Ok for take outs but very limited for seating. Food and drink usual Starbucks standard so scored there.

Starbucks. Most people know or have seen this coffee chain. Some nice drinks available and some good cakes if stopping for afternoon break from shops. They are pretty similar in most towns and city and this shop was no different. Does what it says on the tin. Staff were friendly and service quick. We love Starbucks when travelling and if you have not tried please give them a chance you may enjoy. Most places have plentiful coffee shops now, but we always seem to fall back to Starbucks.

On our first night in Edinburgh we called at this Starbucks which was on the way to a Festival Venue. As others have said, this cafe has all the usual range of products and drinks, but in a slightly quirky building which appears to consist of several rooms created from an old Bank. However, the crowning glory are the particularly friendly and helpful staff who added greatly to the enjoyment of our evening. Thank You.

If you want a fairly standard Starbucks experience, you will get it here. the shop has all the usual drink offerings. the staff is friendly. Sometimes the wait can be quite long. there's not much that can be said about this place that cant be said about every other Starbucks.

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks in general as I find their coffee lacking depth and their decor is very American and full of Formica tops and wipe clean surfaces. This outlet is no different in these respects, however what sets it apart for me are the staff. They have been there a while on the whole and they really do care. I am always treated very well with a lot of care taken over my drinks and they are about the only reason I use this Starbucks over a number of other offers in the area. Well done the team!

According to Starbucks procedure, a latte is made by pouring shots of espresso directly into the cup. Then, steamed milk is poured in and finally, the drink is topped with a spoonful of foam. We love it!

I start all my Starbucks reviews like this – the food and drink is all the same - that’s why I go there! As such, I will only mention the quality of the food and drink if it is unusually good or bad. Generally, my review will focus on the atmosphere, location, layout and staff quality. This store has a funny layout, with 3 interconnecting rooms made into one café. There is plenty of room to spread out, and some really nice, comfy seats to be had. The staff were what stood out about this store, making the effort to chat and joke with the customers, while at the same time delivering an efficient service. Good café!
