this little cafe is now owned by two women and called ma gias, We visited today and were very pleased with friendly service and food, It is wheelchair and pram accessible and we will visit again

Nice surprise on discovering they had changed their menu to having a greater choice, normally it would have been the bacon roll, this time had the cheese omelette roll which was good and the same price as the bacon roll. Was offered the limited edition of the new coffee, would prefer that they had the Brazilian, I’ll be staying with the house blend. Would even consider going in later to try the other options for lunch. As always staff polite and friendly with good knowledge of the products

Lovely service from Carol and a great recommendation told me to have a seat and brought my breakfast over once cooked shop clean and tidy

First Rate Sausage Roll, cost £4 but the look and taste was really good. I would fully recommend and the staff all polite and first class service

We arrived on a cold, windy evening. Dining room was warm & welcoming with a fire going. Our young waitress was extremely helpful - firstly going through the drinks available and then clarifying a number of questions about the menu. We settled on the prawn cocktail & Cullen skink for starter. Both were delicious & the prawns were a very generous portion. For mains we went with the battered fish & chips and the scampi. Both were exceptional. Crispy batter on the fish & whole prawns in the scampi. We were too full for dessert, but may forego starters next time & try the sticky toffee pudding. Considering the excellent standard of the food we felt it was great value overall.

What a gem on Ayrs high street -this cafe serves good coffee and delightful breakfasts including veggie options. Staff very nice and the venue is deceptively big, stretching back several metres. Great!

What a glorious day we had at Thornton Golf Course, clubhouse and restaurant. The new catering team were fantastic. Home cooked food from fresh, using local suppliers. If you live in Thornton what a great asset to have on your doorstep. We will be back to play and eat as we've found a hidden gem. Thanks to Yvonne and her team for looking after us.

Terrible service long wait 6 people in cafe ,when our food arrived wrong order scamp and chips ordered scrambled eggs and toast was served ,3 macaroni cheese chips and salad all cold ,food left unfinished when asked if it was ok we said no not hot reply was oh .Will not be back .

Kim was very attentive, and the food was really tasty. Everyone in our party had practically cleaned their plates, but still had room for a sweet treat at the end. First time dining here for some in our party, but definitely agreed that it would not be their last. Festive pigs in blankets in the carvery were especially nice!

Came with a few friends for a meal. Atmosphere, food, and service were outstanding. Barry looked after us and was very helpful, and kind. Nothing was an issue, and he went the extra mile with our food request. We will be going back!

Not for me, low end produce across the board. Service to match.

The food is tasteless. All of them tasted like water-boiled with sauce poured on top of it. The waiters were very nice yet that couldn't compensate the terrible food at all. We ordered the seafood feast, sefood udon and penne com polo e funghi. None of them worth the price. You can definitely get better food with that cost.

We got told that we can't have breakfast at 1 even when it says that they do it till 1.30 buy apparently they were out of stuff but they weren't out of stuff because I saw it all it was and then when we got something different and it was moldy so I am never going back again i have been there lots of times always something with food not happy it was on the 14th April

Lovely place. Little surprised that once you order you have to go back up to bar to get your drink, but still nice experience
