Greeted by very friendly staff and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

We had a lovely meal with fantastic service from the staff for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding reception today. The staff couldn’t have helped more - thank you all so much!!

We were tired after whole day of walking out and about the city and dinner at Behind the Wall was a stellar finish of the day! It was the first place where we with our dog were greeted with a welcoming smile. I must say the Fajitas were out of this world too! We also got dirty nachos which surpassed our expectations. Very nice!

Despite being very busy due to football and rugby matches, excellent food and service as always with a special mention for Lynsey and Scott. Highly recommended.

Lovely meal out with family yesterday evening celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday. The service was great, the food was lovely and reasonably priced, restaurant is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. However, the absolute highlight of it all was Lindsay. She was so helpful throughout, even helping me to plan the evening so that everything went smoothly. With my dad already being present in the bar before the family had arrived for the meal, she was key in allowing the whole thing to still be a complete surprise. She checked in with our table throughout, making sure everyone was happy and enjoying their evening and was an absolute god send with my 4 year old son. She completely made his night by taking him to ‘make his own ice cream’. She really made the night what it was, and we could not have pulled it off without her. Will definitely be back for our next big celebration!

Popped in for lunch with our dog, sat in little conservatory area which was lovely, great menu choice, excellent food, fab service - would recommend.

Great staff good age mix we did not have food but will next time we visit.

Requested gluten free menu on booking, had to ask for it on arrival! After waiting about 20 minutes we Had to ask to order drinks and our meal! Waited another good 20 minutes before being told EVERY meal is seasoned with pepper!!! (Which I have an intolerance to) Was offered basics like chips, nachos with cheese or garlic pizza bread. Asked to speak to a manager who was most unhelpful!! I now know I need to phone a week in advance to advise of intolerances!! Explained I already looked at the menu online where none of the dishes state they are seasoned with pepper!! My friend and I came up with solutions which were dissed!! In the end we said we would leave it, and we were told to pay for our drinks! Not even offered a complimentary drink for the inconvenience and a bad attitude by the manager or head waitress!! An hour of our day wasted! Will not be back!!

Gave two stars for the staff as they were great, good service and friendly. We met friends for dinner and food was not good, didn’t think you could go wrong with pup grub! Chips were lukewarm and not crispy, a thimble size pot of coleslaw on side, I wouldn’t have bothered! Ordered a glass of Prosecco for £6 half a glass and flat! Would go back for a drink but we all agreed would not eat there again which is a shame as Falkirk has very limited places to eat.

A bit tight for time as we were gigging close by at Falkirk Blues Club, we received very efficient service from some really friendly and attentive staff.The menu is extensive, pizzas, burgers etc but we went for excellent Chicken and beef fajitas with tortillas and a side of Sweet potato fries.We also had some deep fried creamy cheese Poppers.Somewhat like unspiced Pakora.Very savoury and delicious. The restaurant was very busy and has a warm welcoming ,cosy atmosphere .Price was £64 for 4 people. Very reasonable for such quality fare.

The staff was very friendly and helpful even though my group was very large. they allowed people with dogs to keep them indoor and offered a water bowl for them. Plenty options for vegans as well.

I've been here a few times for drinks but this was my first time eating. Wow! The food is amazing. 6 of us for a work meal. Starters: 5 had the Haggis Chimmi (all were very impressed). I had the Nduja Doughballs. The Doughballs are some of the nicest I've ever had. Really soft and tasty. The Nduja side was also incredible; really meaty and not like the paste type. Mains: I can't fully remember what the others had (Burgers and Buddha Bowls) but they were happy. I had the Hot Porky pizza and made it a double decker. I was expecting there to be too much flavour going but it was fantastic. The first time I've heard of a double decker pizza; it's the future.

First time of eating here and it won’t be the last. Excellent.

We booked our table for our Christmas night out for food and drinks , Our employer gave us a £540 cheque between 10 of us to have a good night. I Booked behind the wall for 4pm for dinner and drinks. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The staff really looked after us at the start of the night. I must admit thought I was disappointed that after a few hours we were asked to leave as they needed the table back and if anyone wanted a pudding we had 20 mins to eat it. We still had £200 behind the bar for what we thought was the rest of the night. They did transfer the tab to the main bar however it was rather full and we struggled to get served ( its Christmas I understand the bar would be busy) that's why i booked a table. I think its maybe worth mentioning to customers who book that during peak times your table time will be limited , I get this is normal in some places however we would have made alternative arrangements for the rest of the night if this was the case.

Great food. Friendly service and an all around pleasant place to enjoy your Friday evening whether it's for a meal or a few drinks. Between the sheets was absolutely delicious!

If there’s one thing you can guarantee at BTW, it’s consistency. I can’t remember the last bad meal I’ve had in here. The good quality continued tonight with some Homemade Steak Chilli and Sizzling Steak Fajitas. Fajitas are always a good measure of a restaurant’s quality. Easy to make, but could easily be bog standard. BTW go the extra mile, packing in plenty of fragrant flavours and a good stack of wraps to go with that big dish of steak and veg. Also a good amount of salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Perfecto! The chilli had big flavour, and excellent chunks of beef. A little dry, if I had any complaints, but very very tasty. Finished it off with Sweet Nachos! Can’t go wrong there, and big enough to share! Food was great and service was spot on. Price is slightly high I think, but wouldn’t stop me coming back again.

I went out with my sisters for lunch and ended up in BTW we are so glad we did the food was amazing but the singing waiter was what made it all the more special would recomend it to anyone and will definitely be back .

This establishment doesn't have an alternative to natural suger. E.g cantered or sweet and low. Pre diabetics or diabetics be aware unless you take something with you. The manager today could not be any less interested. Very passive aggressive, condescending and patronising. Never been a fan but would not go back even if food and drink were free.

BTW has improved dramatically. Food great, the staff are brilliant and their beer is much improved. The alehouse is back to its former glory. Like the link with Falkirk FC. We visit after taking in a local game of football.

Thursday date night dinner after my partner's return from holiday. Friendly, welcoming staff. Shared a great Loaded Southern Fried Halloumi, followed by a duo of Hillbilly Steak Chilli & Crispy Chicken Buddha Bowls. Great taste from both and very filling. All washed down with a couple of Peronis. Enjoyed a fine whisky in the bar (once I'd been able to identify one from the great selection, as mood lighting hides the labels and the bar staff struggled to find a Speyside Malt. A hard copy list would help)

We were staying in Scotland in Moffat but had a fabulous day out in Falkirk. Having ridden the Falkirk Wheel and seen the Kelpies in the daylight, we decided to have dinner before returning to the Kelpies after dark to see them illuminated. We wanted some dinner so went to Behind The Wall. We were served by Mark, who was extremely attentive and very witty and amusing. We had 4 different meals and each one was really lovely. Mark continued to amuse us throughout the meal but not at the expense of his waiter duties. All in all it was a lovely experience of food and good service and we all remarked how good it was. All the staff were good but hats off to Mark who was ace.

Always a great meal with the family and superb atmosphere on a Saturday night.

Si tenéis paladar, no vengáis!!! Caro y malo. Pedimos nachos(de bolsa, queso fundido que era como plástico y salsa de tomate de bote) y una hamburguesa(la carne estaba hervida), no pedimos postre por razones obvias. Que no os engañen los buenos comentarios, es todo una mentira.

Was welcomed from the minute we stepped inside, as was our dog, very dog friendly. Food delicious & would highly recommend the haggis popcorn & the crispy chicken Buddha bowl was delicious. Staff friendly, would highly recommend.

We visited for lunch and were served by Kirstin who was utterly delightful, welcoming us warmly with a big smile and a very pleasant disposition. Food was really good and the service was excellent. We were disappointed that alcohol prices had increased by more than 10% since our last visit. This is a really good place to visit and we are regulars every Friday afternoon for drinks but no more for us as it’s just too expensive now. Remember you are in Falkirk, not Glasgow or Edinburgh. The rating reflects the high prices for drinks.

Get the feeling that staff love there job here. Staff are so lovely, and keen to service well to all customers. Food is great too.

Shocking I never knew a restaurant could do so poorly. Server staff were clearly uninterested in their work as my partner and I were sat in the corner of the restaurant and basically left abandon/ignored the whole night after being seated and the few interactions with staff we had very disheartening with how they spoke and shown no interest. After eventually being able to put in our order the starter came out fairly quick(That was the only positive in this whole experience) along side our drinks which tasted metallic and very clearly were from the bottom of the draft. Afterwards we were left without our main for almost an hour all the while no wait staff checked up to see if we wanted anything else. Once our mains finally arrived I was disappointed even further. I had ordered myself a *Lava* chicken burger which was meant to be spicy and flavourful……it was the complete opposite. For a burger claiming to have habanero sauce there was literally no spice or flavour, (which I even had my spicy food disliking partner confirm). The buns were soaking wet and the chicken was cold showing to me that the food was very clearly poorly microwaved. The onion rings were soggy and flavourless and the chips were cold and tasted more or less below average. My partner ordered a cheese beef burger which also had soaking wet buns and completely flavourless cheese and beef which I had no idea was even possible, the beef was also very clearly microwaved and had the exact same issues with her sides as I did which were that everything was soggy and cold. After finally getting the waitresses attention she just simply took away our full plates of food without asking if there was anything wrong, after getting another waitress to get our bill we were left to wait another 10 minutes before they came with a card machine and presented me a bill of almost £50!!! After raising our complaints we were told to wait for a manager who simply never arrived… and instead opted to sit at the bar and watch their TV and offer a 10% discount……. I urge people not to go here find literally anywhere else to spend your money and eat.

Came here after trying a place along the road (specialising in burgers) which forces customers to use an app to order. Decided that such a faff was not for us so wandered over to Behind the Wall. All staff (without exception) were very helpful, very comfortable to speak to and above all made our time there fun. Clear Gluten Free menu - and along with that staff gave great confidence - important for my Ceoliac wife. Huge burger with Haggis I had was excellent. Better than the other place which has decided on app usage. Wife and son's meals also very good. I think we have found our new go to for a family meal out.

Don't normally leave reviews but every single member of staff was so lovely there that i just had to. Had lunch with my brother and baby niece and they couldn't be more helpful and friendly! Food was great too.

Great for gluten free separate menu. Went as a group of six reasonably priced. Fajitas amazing and also the budda bowls. Staff can't do enough for you.

Nice staff and nice food. Premises a bit cold and dull. Toilets way upstairs and didn't notice any ones for disabled on ground floor.

My son and I visited late on a Friday afternoon. As I was going upstairs a member of staff was at the door at the top waiting for me. I thought he was coming down but had heard me on the stairs and wanted to make sure I was OK (I am not in the first 50 decades of life!!🙂 His name is Elliot and that thoughtfulness and very good service continued throughout our visit. We were also attended to by Scott who continues to provide exemplary service. Special thanks to him for the short history of whisky distilled along the A9 corridor and for introducing me to Dalmore and Glenlivet….my new best friends! Very well done to both members of staff and we look forward to the next time.

I keep coming back to this fabulous place - for lunch, dinner snacks. Amazingly friendly staff who actually seem to love their job and have a bit of banter with their customers. The food is incredible and I am most upset when I don't have room for their churros, which have to be the best churros in the whole of churro land! And their Dirty Macaroni Cheese? It is the reason I don't have room for the churros! Loads more to offer....live music/comedy shows...check this place out!

Sad to drop my rating but service was terrible last time in was in with my wife. Waited 20 mins for half the round of drinks. Main meals came 10 mins apart and weren't offered any dessert menu. Can't even say it was busy maybe 50% full.

The food in here is great couldn't fault anything we had. The staff are so friendly and polite which believe me is something you don't get these days . The prices are all very reasonable and there was good live music on aswell.

Moved here about two weeks ago. This place has a great atmosphere and really good food. Lindsay is top class👍 . Highly recommended.

Clean and good place to chill. Though, it was too quiet for a Saturday evening. Service was good and waiters polite.The security at the door were not friendly and a bit rude. I don't think I will want to visit again.

Haven't been here in a minute, but decided to nip-in for a quick bite to eat. We got here just after 5:30pm, just before it got busy, so we were served nice and quick. Some good recommendations from the staff on what to order, as we couldn't make up our minds. Ended up opting for the Teuchter Burger (haggis and peppercorn sauce) with Salt & Chilli Fries (upgrade), and the Crispy Beef Buddha Bowl with noodles. Flavours of the burger were really good, plenty of spice from the haggis and peppercorn sauce, and the onion rings were a nice touch. Very filling indeed. My only complaint was the consistency of burger itself. Little on the cheap side, if I'm honest. The Salt & Chilli fries are definitely worth the upgrade, though! 👌🏻 Buddha Bowl was great! Lots of fresh flavours and good quality ingredients. Would love to give the other Buddha Bowls a try in the future, based on how good this was. Great, quick service, and for the most part, some really good food! Probably wouldn't go for a burger next time, but the menu at BTW is vast and packed with great options, so I'll be back soon enough to try something else.

Came across this hidden gem. Great customer service - staff all very friendly. Got water sorted for our dog on a hot day. Very relaxing beer garden area - great spot. Good selection of food - we had the soup and sandwich combo and the gyros. Would recommend.

The food was excellent, and the staff was helpful. There was an issue with a forgotten drinks order, but it was very busy, so that's acceptable. The food was so good that it more than made up for the drinks.

I struggle to recall a time where I’ve eaten anything as bland in a restaurant. Prices are over the top, even charging for dips? Won’t be back and would advise to avoid.

Was in the lovely conservatory for lunch on Sunday 10/9/17 and the bowl of thick ham & broth soup was brilliant but the sandwich turned out to be a wrap & tasted a bit doey but i find that most wraps do. I went back in on 14/5/23 at around 2pm. I had lovely hot thick soup 🔥 red pepper 🌶️ & tomato 🍅 of soup & a kid's portion of a lovely tasting small special fish & chips some with their skins on them + beans. My friend had the same except the soup 🍲 She had the lovely ice cream 🍨 with wee square bits of caramel & a flake - good size portion. The toilet 🚽 for disabled had a good Dyson hand dryer BUT no mirror🪞 the staff were friendly & most had a smile on their faces. I was allowed to take a picture 🖼️ of the most pleasent guy in there who i called him as handsome George. So it's all you gals go in & meet him & have a most enjoyable lunch experience 😁

Just an over priced pub £24 for 4 pints

Had lunch here on Sunday. We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant and this was a great place for us. Great friendly staff who not only welcomed us but were very pleased to meet the dogs too! Waitress brought a water bowl and treats and when I mentioned the old dog found the floor hard to settle on, brought her a blanket! It took us ages to decide on our meals though as menu extensive and all sounded delicious! Waitress had to come back three times before we’d decided but didn’t seemed phased by this. Settled on the Buddha bowls which were delicious!

We went to have work lunch on Wednesday. It was a lovely meal and great atmosphere. The food was delicious and we had amazing service from Kirstin and Courtney. I am definitely going to be back for a meal with my partner.

Friendly and fast service, was a really nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and there was a good choice of options on the menu. Good size portions, we were all full by the end of the evening.

The service was excellent and the staff are very welcoming. They even use sign language to welcome us and asked us for food and drinks. Thank you. For doing this today.

Food was lovely as always. We really enjoyed our meal and can't wait to go back. We had a crispy chicken Budda bowl, Southern fried chicken and a kids margarita pizza. We all really enjoyed. Service wasn't as good as the last time we were but it was a week night so that might be why. Just seemed to be a long while after finishing our mains we were checked in on and a long while before getting back to us on the desert menu. They were absolutely lovely when they spoke to us and took our order and happily packed the kiddos pizza up in a box.

It was an interesting menu but the food was average. Service was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. What was strange was a man trying to sell my husband aftershaves in the men’s toilets? and the doormen thinking that this is normal?

First and last time at BTW. Absolute shambles from beginning to end. Waited 20 mins to be served drinks to begin with and wish we had walked then. Wrong drinks order, 5 starters served, the 6th for my son arrived when we had finished ours so sent it back. 4 mains delivered, my son and his girlfriend waited another 15 minute's on theirs, while we had to eat ours. There was one other table in so how they cope when the place is full I'll never know. Food was ok, nothing special. Staff carrying black bags of rubbish past our table while we were eating. Totally unpleasant experience. 2 mains knocked of the bill but even that didn't rectify our night. Still almost £150. Poor, poor show and definitely won't be back.
