Went for breakfast on our first day here Well what a let down Booked on app and still had to wait 40mins Food freezing but what choice when brought to attention of tall guy who was manager on his badge We were basically dismissed with a ah well what can I do Well let's see not have people wait 40 mins and then give cold food At least we found a better weatherspoons where staff actually cared Would not recommend this location

Great location,good value,freindly staff.

Busy as Wetherspoons always are, but service fast and staff really kept on top of cleaning. Reasonably priced for such a central location.

Not bad, though not my favourite Wetherspoons in Edinburgh.

Sadly just like every other wetherspoons.

Still has that Station Bar vibe, nothing too exciting but it does have a heated pie display case.

This place needs full revamp from management down. Ordered food n drinks on app food came in 15 mins- but our drink to nearly an hour!! Said to staff and was told we are busy.. I know its cheap but this was a joke! Not to mention later our other drinks sent to wrong table , had to spent ages at bar showing emails cos they treat you like criminal until you have proven it was there mistake,

Witherspoon does what Witherspoons does well. Cheap beer. Quick service.

Typical Witherspoon's, we have been in this spoons a few times before, went hear for our breakfast after getting the train up from Kings Cross, reasonable prices for Edinburgh, I would go back.

Pub with many food options and at a very good price. One of the cheapest places. I recommend the fish and chips, as it is delicious, at a good price and includes a drink.

Toadie is the most amazing person i have ever met.

The pub was not very busy even though it was a Sunday. I went for lunch and ordered a stick with potatoes, the meat was just right, I normally order it very well done and the potatoes good. The dessert was a brownie with ice cream and chocolate syrup, the food was very good. The restaurant has a terrace in the back and since that day I went, it was sunny, the terrace had all the tables occupied, that's why I had a table inside the premises. The atmosphere is very cozy and the waiters are attentive. The restaurant is located very close to Edinburgh Waverley train station, about 5 minutes walk.

If you want a quick drink on your way to/from the railway station this is great. It's a proper big pub. Very attentive staff

It's a spoons. It's for when I'm too fancy to eat at home but too skint or short on self respect to go to a bar that doesn't serve smash. Food is good for what you pay for it. Drink is cheap. An easy place to meet friends for a catch up or a quick fight on a Thursday, whatever floats your boat.

Overcrowded, not well cleaned, coffee machines not working, staff inattentive. I'm a fan of Wetherspoon pubs but didn't have a good experience here today.

Ordered 2 x large breakfast. Drinks not recieved by the time food arrived. Had to go collect them sitting on end of bar after we had had finished eating. Coke flat and not chilled, can of monster warm *dont think this was because they were sitting think this was how they would have been served). No hash browns with food. Asked at the bar to have them sent out, should have been 6hash browns with 2 large breakfast. Only 4 came after we finished eating. Burned toast and barely 2 table spoons of beans with no juice wish I'd took a picture to show you how awful it was! Will not return. Sounds like I've just been picky but it really was not the regular wetherspoons cheap and cheerful we are used to and we eat in spoons all over the country 😞

Superb location just off Princes Street and next to the main Waverley Train Station. A really nice upgrade by Wetherspoon's to provide a building with real character. Probably the most expensive Spoons in Edinburgh but still great value. Service can be a bit slow at times but still more than acceptable. Oh and the selection and quality of the real ales is excellent.

Went for breakfast before getting a train at the Waverley. Service quick and food hot. No complaints a decent Spoons. It has an outdoor sitting area but is always busyinside and out during the day and night. We were unable to secure a table on our return journey but we were aware that this was a likely scenario. It's proximity to the station and tourist attractions makes this a busy pit stop for those seeking food and refreshments.

WOW!!! What a great place! Highly recommended. Efficient, friendly & knowledgeable staff. Although extremely busy, staff kept up with clearing/cleaning tables. Although more expensive than other local Wetherspoons, it was good value. Will happily visit again!!!!

We traveled from the Lake District last year, a bit of time away after loosing my mum with my support dog and my husband. We stood on the pavement outside awaiting a seat, we found a table outside and my husband left me to get drinks. My dog had her harness on so we didn't think there was a problem. Once we my husband put the drinks on the table (we had no seats) we were rudely and verbally asked to leave the premises. Astonishes people on the next table told the staff how harshly we were spoke to. My husband approached the manager and him himself came out picked up our half drunk drinks and escorted us off the pavement we were stood. We don't travel for 3 hours to be treated like dirt. I will never recommend this discriminating pub. We have no other problem in any weatherspoons have visited. Approached weatherspoons regarding my complaint with no response. About time weatherspoons came up to the times and allow support dogs to assist their owners. You ruined my weekend we left traumatised

The food is delicious. Prices are more reasonable than other places.

Great location. Reasonable prices. We just ordered pizzas which are usually good anyway. Its always really busy and you have to search for seats sometimes, but it's a good call if you need to refuel...

Lovely time had by whole group of us. Food was good, managed to find a seat at a table, staff were nice. Drinks were cheap. What more do you need?

Comfiest booth I have ever slept in loved it

Last but not least of my visit to Edinburgh, had to wait around for 4 hours for my train so I thought why not go to spoons for some lunch and to genuinely waste some time, the booths made that entire stay so much better. Highly recommend if you want a quiet and nice atmosphere

It's a good place for start the day with breakfast. The Staff are nice and the Ambiente is nice.

Been here a couple of times This was a bad visit. Only for people and myself in the whole pub. Yet my food was like warm at best. Left half of it as you can see

Regular Wethers experience. It's next to a train station in Edinburgh which obviously affects the pricing but good selection of lager, beer and cider on top

Great fun when you're out with mates. Chicken wings and chicken strips were spot on. Beer is reasonably priced and it's a loud buzz of a vibe.

No need to wait for guidance, just sit in an empty seat, order and pay through the app. So it's easy even if you don't know English well. The atmosphere is a noisy pub. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. Maybe it was me, but I couldn't pay with my Salt Travel Card, so I used PayPal.

Staff are pretty rude and the prices are absurd, but met some nice customers there

This place was very busy, but we easily ordered lunch on our phone. Drinks and meals came out quickly. We were impressed.

Half an hour wait for my drink. Went to the bar and asked for it and they believed my table number said 57, and then they said 77 was somewhere else. Very confusing as my table definitely says 77. Had to then drink a very flat pint. Awful

City centre Wetherspoons next to Edinburgh Waverley Station and handy for the shops on Princes Street. A bit little more expensive than the other nearly 'Spoons, but not outrageously so. A decent selection of beers, well poured by friendly staff.

On arrival very busy just managed to get a seat I used their app to order food aswell as a drink as part of meal deal.waited 30 mins for food by this time still never received drink,ate our food (very basic) and still no drinks.went to bar to be told there was a 30 minute wait for drinks did I want refund on drinks which I accepted.very disappointing end to what was a great day.to let people know how the little the portions were my wife never eats very much but we stopped in at M&S for sandwich at train station.wont be back

Noisy brash city centre bar. Was at a private party but couldn't converse as far too loud. Drinks slowly served but average priced and nice enough. Idiot supervisor on the door😡

Asked for directions in the station and still couldn't find it. 😁 Update. Totally out of the station on Waverley Bridge. I enjoyed it and spent more than a few hours in there. On Google maps it looks like it's in the station.

Recently popped in for a quick pint before heading to the match. I came in and stood at the bar for over 5mins. Ignored by staff, I asked a surly bartender if I was at the wrong till? "Staff serve, not tills" he grunted. Terrible customer service. Left immediately.

Against my better judgment, I thought we would try again due to the location mainly. Ordered on the app for quickness. 25 minutes waiting on drinks. Staff were not interested, and one went as far as to ignore me. I wasn't rude. I just wanted to pick up our drinks. Very unhelpful. Dirty tables. Cleared quick enough but were not cleaned. Will not be back.

Dirty tables everywhere. Had to clear the table ourselves. No one cleaned it. Never actually saw anyone cleaning any tables. Food arrived at table quickly, but they didn't take any of the remaining dirty glasses etc from the previous table occupants away. Food was OK but doubtful ill be back. Cheap and cheerful indeed.

A bit run down, everything looks a bit worn out. There was no food available when we visited on Monday - staffing problem I think.

A typical Witherspoon's,cheerful and good atmosphere

Ate here on a Saturday and Sunday morning relatively early on (between 7 and 8) - it was almost completely empty. The Saturday's breakfast was great, the Sunday's looked like it had just done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. But ultimately you pay for what you get. Service was friendly and food came out fairly quickly.

Usual Wetherspoon pub. Quite busy in a busy location. Had a nice lunch there. 👍

Always a good and cheaper place to come gor drinks and some food. Location really central and right at waverley station incase you are wanting some food or drink before your train this is the place. Best prices in Edinburgh!

Good spot, but service is ridiculously slow

First time there, try not use the loo loads stairs, straight out of Edinburgh train station.

I'd give this place a higher score but seriously when there are two people at the bar and the barman has clearly seen that someone else has arrived after me and then deliberately chooses to ignore me and serve the other person first, what am I meant to think?

Spacious and comfortable premises next to the station. You can enjoy your food and track your transportation on one screen. The quality-price ratio is unbeatable.

I’ve been here before and I loved it. I came again and I loved it. Great service, lots of different beverages on offer, and very well located! Easy walk from the Old Town and the New Town, and of course, very close to Waverley station!

The Booking Office is what I like to call quite a "happening" place. The atmosphere was brilliant with a packed out bar but still able to find somewhere to sit & eat. I had the small ham egg & chips while my partner went fot the brunch wrap, standard English pub fayre, cheap and cheerful, on the slightly more expensive end of cheap. Can't really complain, it's a Wetherspoon & they do their best.

This Wetherspoons is in a great location right next to Waverley Train Station and Market with lovely views of the castle from the beer garden. It gets extremely busy on a lunchtime just like it was when we went, but there are plenty of tables to sit at. The food was nice and the service was great so overall a great experience.

This was an amazing place to have beers and very close to Princes Street and the waverly market. I didn't actually have the food, but the pizzas looked really good. Service was fantastic and people were really warm and welcoming. There is a library of options to choose from when it comes to the drinks. We tried the Edinburgh Gold and it was smooth. We actually went back multiple times since most of the time we were using this road to get to the royal mile. It has outside seating as well. Do check it out, you won't be disappointed.

It's a weather spoons does what it says on the tin. Food ok but could give it a high rates as it's just standard stuff really. Service was good and quick. And the bar was full but I could easy make it to the bar
