Costa in North Lanarkshire

Ordered 2 iced hazel maple lattes with cream received 2 basic hot coffees

The place and the atmosphere and the staff.

Last time I ordered a costa I didn’t receive my light whip but as I like the place I ordered again but I put a note specifically saying don’t forget the light whip as I didn’t get it last time and it’s still been forgotten, not a good service at all

Tables lie uncleared. Staff very slow and the whole place seems unorganized.

Only accept guide dogs, no other dogs allowed

Got a soya latte 😋 which was nice and , creamy staff were very friendly good atmosphere

absolute disgrace brought only my drink and i bought 2 wraps. what a joke and waste of money

Courier sat at restaurant with my order for a LONG time. Hot food was cold and iced drink had melted.

As always, great staff and coffee.

There were missing items .... I ordered 4 things and only 1 was delivered. I can't get through to just eat or costa for assistance

Food came very cold. Delivery driver must have delivered more than one at a time. I have 2 dogs he didn't close gate

Never recieved cheese and tomato toastie. Asked for cheese and cranberrry toastie and got bacon. Vegetarian so can’t eat it.

Delivered to wrong address two doors away and our address was correct

Extremely rude staff, tell lies, I asked for a whipped latte and the manager told me “the whipped doesn’t work” when I looked at it, it was dirty so it was getting used.

Food was delicious and arrived hot, which is always a bonus. Will definitely purchase food from here again.

Visit every week and always great service . Lovely staff in today Merrin and Andrew who remembered our orders and our specific need for soya milk 😁 Both very friendly members of staff to have a good chat with. Service great as usual. Areas clean and staff cleaning well at time of visit. See you next week 😁

Missed out a drink unfortunately

The staff can be really nice and friendly depending on who you get. Some are really ignorant and will turn thier nose up at you. The food is sub par but you don't expect fine dining in a Costa. The place is clean for the most part. They always seem understaffed as the tables aren't cleaned regularly and you can wait a while in the que as most of the time they only have one Barista making the coffees. Teens and school kids often sit in the back without buying anything and take over tables that paying customers could use. Other than that they usually get my order right 9/10 times as I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to a lot of things. They definitely need more staff on during the day. I go regularly and do enjoy the experience for the most part would give it a 5 1/2 out of 10.

Always a great place for a coffee and a bite to eat,.

Ordered bacon rolls received sausage rolls. No contact from Costa regarding the change. Sausages very fatty and cold.

It wasnt delivered, why keep changing the time if you are not going to deliver and then select delivered?

Driver didn’t chap the door order was left outside not sure how long for , Very disappointing.

The Mac and cheese did not taste the way it should have it was very bitter and had todays expiry date, very disappointing

Only good thing about this order was the delivery time my “hot” latte with gingerbread syrup was a cold plain latte and my ice bubble tea was warmer than my coffee with a straw too thin to even doom up the bubbles both drinks had to go straight in the bin absolutely ridiculous for the price I had to pay and I paid extra for the gingerbread syrup

Honestly don't even know where to begin other than the fact that this Costa specifically in Motherwell needs shutting down. The staff are absolutely clueless, deaf, sloppy and cheeky. Who knows who the young woman today around 4pm serving, thought she was, but miss attitude needs to be retrained pronto. She can't even make a standard large Americano with an extra shot of expresso. It's a simple coffee and it still tasted like P-water and that was after reading the slip nearly 6 times then still put cream on two fraps that clearly stated no cream. Also another customer who had a hot chocolate with cream, the way she topped that cream on it made it look like someone had the runs. It was messy and unprofessional service then huffed when an elderly woman asked for chocolate on their hot chocolate as well as their cappuccino. A young male member of staff was dropping stuff all over the floor, standing around, not cleaning anything then throwing things towards the bin which kept missing and he left it on the floor. I have no idea why this shop is being ran by kids but the complaints I was collecting from the customers outside was appalling. Cold coffee that was meant to be hot, cakes that were slopped onto plates, bad attitudes from staff. The customers sat outside with us were shocked that anyone working in retail can think this is okay. The cleanliness of the place? Well let's just say I've seen zoo pens that smelled fresher. Those toilets are not monitored or cleaned regularly and the corners haven't been cleaned in months. The tables are barely getting a tickle of a wipe which is vile. They're not using their chemical products correctly to clean any surfaces and reusing the same dirty expresso cup for multiple drinks without washing it. Cross contamination clearly means nothing to these kids and quite frankly just because its cheaper to hire teenagers doesn't mean its the right choice. Each one working that backshift was just as untrained as the next. Normally I don't write reviews like this as I understand accidents happen but that full shop is one big accident that needs closing and restarted. Starting with a thorough deep clean and professional staff. I can absolutely understand why a gentlemen said to me as I walked in, "Good Luck" as he left. I'm guessing his experience was no better than mine. Photo attached: these were the marks left on the table that wasn't cleaned properly. This is apparently clean in their opinions. Next time I think the health department will need to be contact for an audit to be done.

Miserable staff and average coffee. Front door was boarded up, presumably because it had been smashed in. Only saving grace was it was quiet. Glad we were taking away and not staying in.

They had an error with the app but they dealt with it professionally and efficiently and we caught our train in time.

Great service & friendly environment as always. Started off just mum & I then hubby, kids, bro & sister in law joined us too after the football. Was enough room for us all to sit together & everyone (other than me in my wheelchair) got a comfy chair. It is fully wheelchair accessible. The disabled toilet doesn't have a changing places but is big enough for a side transfer on the left hand side & has a pull down rail on the left hand side to allow use of two rails if needed.

Coffee was nice and I enjoyed it. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Sometime tables aren't clean quick but it's not too bad

Asked for my drinks iced and without sugar in the notes. It came iced but with sugar. Not sure how that happened but it’s unacceptable

As a regular to this costa I've always had a good experience. My disabled daughter and I are always treated with respect and kindness, they always bring our order over to us as I'm busy getting my daughter settled and they're always friendly! As mentioned by other reviewers, yes I've had times I've waited a seemingly long time, but I also paid attention to the fact there were clearly new staff who were learning and trying their best. I can only assume the people who get so irrate at these silly inconveniences have never worked in the service/retail industry before and if they have then where's the compassion? Food is always good, coffee is perfect (the manager even remembers my chai latte order every time) it's clean, cosy and local to me. Can't want for much more really!

Received wrong order and the one we did receive right came half full, contacted them as soon as order was received and then great customer service advised that this was normal standards for a delivery. Think they have got this totally wrong. Over 1 month myself and colleagues have spent over £100, but with be going to Starbucks from now on. Will kot be going to shop either. Worst delivery and service ever. Avoid at all costs.

The food I received was cold and so was the cappuccino really cold what a waste of money I’m so disappointed and dissatisfied with the service today the fact I paid over £17 for cold food is very upsetting especially for someone like me who is a patient and can’t exactly go to a costa at the minute

Worst Costa I’ve ever visited. It’s dirty, the service is awful and slow, slow, slow!! Nearly 30 minutes in a queue of 4 people with 3 behind the counter. It’s not the first time I’ve been here and the service was the same the time before.

No order received!!!! Twice in a week need to fight for a refund

Coffee was just what I needed this morning after a long night with the thunderstorm!! Although my order was 30 minutes late, I couldn’t even bring myself to leave low stars for it as the driver couldn’t have been anymore apologetic if she tried - and took the blame herself rather than blaming Costa as she was having technical issues. Kids loved their iced berry drink and brownie and asked for more once it was done too.

Have a coffee here regularly but disappointed last visit with the quality of the coffee. Very weak. Might be a coincidence that an offer was on for a stronger new coffee 25p extra. Will go back next week and try again

I agree with the other comments about how slow the service is here. Always a long wait however because it is easy access for a wheelchair, i do visit this cafe often. Parking in the nearby town centre is free for a few hours and there is disabled parking bays

Ordered two toasties but only received one. This is the second time this has happened when using this Costa.

The only issue I have is that I ordered and paid for 2 large Cappuccinos but was delivered 2 medium Cappuccinos

Restaurant made coffee correctly and packed it the usual way. However, the driver had clearly not handled the coffee correctly and it has spilled all over the bag. Instead of letting us know this he quickly handed it over and it then burst all over our brand new wooden floor and coffee all over our white walls.

To be honest one of the best customer service experiences I've had staff member had a great attitude even though they were about to shut he put a machine back on just for my order couldn't flaw the service if I tried 100%spot on

Every time i ask for sugar sweetener they give us none

1 star because it is consistently 2 star service. How does it take so long to make coffee? I can see 4 people working but I can't see work getting done. It's so, so slow. The other reviews aren't wrong. It's always slow. Training? Motivation? Pay rise? Help the staff out!! It's simply the worst Costa I have visited.

I am the most regular customer of this coffee for last 5 years, visiting every single day or second. I would star this place as worst coffee place ever. Many would wonder why i m still regular and frequent customer of this place, this is only branded coffee in motherwell, my main purpose of visit here is to meet my friends. No one knows in this place how to make and present coffee.

Food was missing from bag paid £17 for drinks only. Not pleased. Can’t get in touch with store.

One of the cups had a split right down the side but it was the frappy thankfully and not the iced latte😂 everything tasted fab and we really enjoyed it. Just maybe watch out for faulty cups xx

I have said in the past that I would not be back in here because of the rudeness of one if the staff. However I went in this morning for a " purple one " latte made with the new coffee. I was told to take a seat and they would being it out. I then saw a woman who came in after me getting what looked like my order. A few minutes later a rude member of staff came out and went to give this same customer another coffee. I went over and explained that I thought the orders had got mixed up. She then took the half drunk coffee from the woman and gave her the new one and only then told her why. She then said to me " I will make you a new one" lol. No real words of apology other than too many people ordered the purple one at the same time. Can they not cope with two orders. Please can someone teach some of the staff how to treat customers

The lid was not in correctly and when the order was delivered the bag broke and split coffee everywhere.

todays experience was not a good one.....obviously baristas in motherwell are stretched, had to wait ages to get served then at least 15mins on our coffees being brought to us, everyone in that shop looked like they hadnt a clue what they were doing.

Coffee spilt all over bag and wasn't even half cup left to drink. Now saying shop closed on just eat
