The Globe Inn in Aberdeen City

Good food, great bar right under the room, everything was great, we can only recommend it.

The inn is very nice close to the train station and city center. the bar has a wide selection of beers and whiskey. We were lucky enough to be there on a Monday which was Trivia night, we had a lot of fun.

Love this place,- great decor great drinks and good pub food. Hotel room is great all you need. Caitlynne 😊managing bookings and the pub is a treasure. If I owned this pub she would definitely be in control!!!

Great place to stay in Aberdeen. Easy to reach the public transport services, and you can walk to most parts of the city. We were very happy with the quite spacious room, and ate downstairs in the pub every day in the morning and at night.

This is a really nice place. Busy without being swamped. It is busy for meals and shows sport. Staff are really on top of what they do. There is a decent selection of beers (including low/non-alcoholic) and a full range of other drinks. It's quite a busy and sunny location. Not bad at all. The toilets are amazing. Most bars are not as clean and immaculate as they are. A good option in the city centre.

A well-deserved excellent pub in central Aberdeen. There's always something going on, but never too loud or tiring. The staff is great, the food is great and we would have loved to take the whole establishment with us on our 4-week trip through Scotland. We haven't had a better night's sleep or meal in the same place in all our time.

We dined here early on a Saturday evening. We had pre booked and were sat in the main bar which was extremely busy. The food and service were good with generous portion sizes. In addition to the main menu, there is was also a specials board. It seems like a popular venue full of those who are in the know. A definite place to revisit.

Pop by yesterday afternoon for a drink great wee pub very friendly staff who told us about the quiz night later . We came back later for a great wee night at the quiz £1 to enter each and at half time a buffet is included .

Cracking pub. Good pub grub and decent drinks selection. One of the few chain pubs that's gone back into private ownership and it shows. Well recommended.

Perfect pub. Rooms small though and a bit sensitive to noise, especially when the pub is being cleaned after hours. Fortunately, they close relatively early.

I went here for just a drink in the pub. The atmosphere was great in this traditional pub. They apparently do food and also have rooms. My visit was pretty good for just a couple drinks. A real nice alternative to get a couple streets back from union Street

Breakfast has varied and delicious options. We had dinner in the pub. Always busy, loud, happy with several televisions on to watch sports. We ordered the soup of the day which was yellow pea. Comforting for the cold of the day but it could have been more tasty. The Balmoral burger is very delicious, filling. The little Haddock was a nice fried hake fillet with a big portion of peas and chips. For dessert we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream: delicious. Excellent and friendly attention.

Nipped in while attending the music hall which was a 3 min walk. Beer was great with friendly staff. Will be eating next time as it looked good. Live sports played as well.

Such a quaint little Inn. The service is great and our rooms are cozy. The beds are very comfortable.

Only popped into the bar for a drink, but the staff were efficient and friendly. Looked like they were preparing for a busy evening of food service with reserved tables, so clearly popular. Good real Ales on offer.

Had an awful dining experience at The Globe, which previously has always been great. Knowing it can be busy I booked a table for 5 a few weeks ago for a pre theatre meal with friends in the restaurant for a nice catch up ahead of a show. Arrived a few mins early and was told our table was not ready so we hung about the sign “wait here to be seated “ . My heart sank when a guy was lifting a chair over the heads of the crowds at the bar and then steered us away from the restaurant & over to the busiest area of the very noisy bar crammed full of merry people with no other diners in sight . I explained I’d booked a table for the restaurant & not the noisy busy bar, & that there were at least 2 tables sitting empty in the restaurant. I was told if I wanted the restaurant I should have specified that on the online restaurant booking & that the empty tables were for bookings specifically for a quiet area. It was not ideal to try and sit & chat with friends in the very noisy bar surrounded by people mostly standing about . It got worse when 2 of the meals arrived and were completely different dishes to what was ordered so our group meal was split basically into 2 sittings . A disastrous experience with a fairly rude member of staff who had a “ shrug his shoulder “ attitude . We did get one meal deducted from the bill due to the kitchen mishap but the overall experience was 1star experience . Staff on site made no effort to check we were comfortable at the worst table in the place. UPDATE- I contacted the Manager Matt who apologised for our experience and offered either a complimentary meal for us all or full refund which was a very decent outcome.

Food is terrible or maybe it’s just the veggie food. Oh but the soup is normally tasteless. Last twice has been a Sunday lunchtime if that has anything to do with it. Food terrible but not a bad bar for football and a pint.2nd star is for the bar or would’ve been a 1 star.

Really good central location. Hotel staff really good. Rooms lovely. Beer good and so was the full breakfast.

Went to the Globe last night for a meal before the theatre. Got off to a shakey start as they had no trace of my booking. Luckily they found us a table though although they were very busy and we had a lovely meal. There were 4 of us and all had something different and every choice was delicious. The staff were lovely and very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend the Globe. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because of the mix up with my booking but will definitely be back.

Only stopped by here for a couple of drinks. Busy place and the food that was coming out did look good. Will stop by again when in Aberdeen

Myself and a group of fellow students ran a quiz night at the Globe Inn back in March to fundraise for our degree show and we couldn’t be more grateful for not only the enthusiasm to use the venue but also the atmosphere and friendly staff that welcomed us. Could not recommend this pub enough as they were both welcoming and encouraging for everything we needed on the night. The manager Matt especially was of great help and had great communication throughout the organising process. All the staff of the bar that night were great fun to chat to and engage with and we were so glad to see them take part in our quiz with us while providing amazing service for the flurry of students ordering drinks. 10/10 experience and will be recommending to anyone else wanting to run a quiz!

The Globe Inn is well worth a visit, whether you're looking for dinner, drinks or a place to stay. On this occasion, the soup of the day and Cullen Skink were very good. Our mains were Thai Green curry and Yorkshire pudding with mince, tatties & mealie. Delicious and great portions...couldn't manage dessert. Staff were, as on previous visits all very friendly. Look forward to my next visit.

This is a super little hotel! Our room was cosy and the bed was so comfy! The staff were really welcoming and it felt like we were staying at home. We had drinks a couple of evenings and it was nice and relaxing.

Nice place to come for lunch when in town. Quite a good variety of food on the menu and reasonable prices. The staff are nice and friendly and the service is excellent. Recommended.

We stayed there for 1 night and had a breakfast also. Hotel was nice and clean, staffs are friendly. Beers, food and breakfast are great.

Right in the heart of Aberdeen, no more central than here. Unfortunately we were there for a wake but to be honest. It's a great bar, the service was excellent and the buffet was none to bad. All round good time!

Went for Xmas lunch.. Lovely pub but the food wasn't great!!.. Prawn cocktail was okay but the turkey was like Turkey Roll (chopped and shaped) not proper carved turkey was very disappointed considering the price.. Others at table weren't impressed with the Rump either!!.. Then had a a £20 service charge on top!!.. 7 at table!!.. Definitely wouldn't recommend the Xmas lunch.. Maybe just our personal taste but not for me..

Friendly, lively, haven't tried the food, but what I've seen being served, looks great. If your into sports, there's big screen TV's. Good place to meet your friends, and have good 'down t'pub' experience . Seem to attract a naturally friendly crowd, and it's dog friendly.

Pub + hotel al piano di sopra in occasione di un viaggio con amici: cosa chiedere di più! La posizione è ottima, leggermente decentrata (perfetta per chi arriva in auto) ma in pochi minuti a piedi si arriva facilmente in centro. Abbiamo parcheggiato in strada senza difficoltà. Camera piccolina ma accogliente e sufficiente pulita. Avevo chiesto due letti singoli e sono stato accontentato. Sorprendentemente silenziosa nonostante si trovi appunto sopra un pub. Colazione altrettanto ottima, inclusa nel prezzo. E poi la birra...buonissima!

Überaus sehr freundliches Personal. Essensauswahl ist gut, Qualität in Ordnung. Die Zimmer haben alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Tee/Kaffee, Kühlschrank, Duschgel, Shampoo, TV und sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Pub ist nett eingerichtet und gemütlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ein schönes Hotel im Zentrum von Aberdeen mit einem ausgesprochen netten , aufmerksamen, hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Personal sowie leckerem Frühstück. Wir waren drei Nächte dort und können das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Nice pub with a good atmosphere. Very good "BBQ Jackfruit burger". When I asked for a local Whisky, I got advised to go with the "Fettercain 12 years old" and it was one of the smoothest whiskies I've had in Scotland! Very good suggestion by the bartender!

Very lively spot! Its hard to give a bad review because we loved the Globe Inn. Great breakfast, excellent dinner. Fun pub atmosphere. As somewhere to get a good night's rest if there was no noise it was a great spot. Hard to have both under one roof. Our friends room was on a lower and he left before dinner because of the noise. No option for refunds what so ever. We checked in at 3:00 and he left before 6:00pm and no option for refund of ANY kind. I don't know if it was our poor judgment to not read into it or not. Great lively establishment - not great for a resting place.

Sehr gut gelegenes Pub mit Hotel. Sehr sauber und die Zimmer sind ordentlich ausgestattet. Trotz Großstadt ruhig gelegen und dennoch ist man schnell im Zentrum der Stadt. Im Biergarten kann man gemütlich sitzen. An Wochenenden ist mit Betrieb zu rechnen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.
