Mint & Lime Bar in Glasgow City

Absolutely impossible service, the bartender doesn't care at all. Was already annoyed when we came in. It has to be said that this bar is suggested to be part of the Euro Hostel, its bar area, so to speak. Normally I wouldn't care otherwise. But then, on the evening in question, the kitchen remained cold and it was not possible to order anything to eat - but when one of the group got a snack, the bartender got upset and basically threw him out. No “hello” beforehand, absolutely in a bad mood, but suddenly he manages to open his mouth. Ridiculous! There are better bars and pubs everywhere. You don't have to do that.

Perfect for meeting up at! Not too expensive. Plenty of transport links, basically, right outside! Relaxed couple of pints!!

They had an open mike night. Helped me to get used to the Scottish accent a bit better. The beer is not bad either.

Went to watch the Rangers Europa Final. Its a great wee pub, the staff were brilliant. Very nice folk. 👍 I will definitely go back next timd i stay in glasgow.

Was interesting but not my thing tbh

Customer service terrible. Lovely lad behind bar said we could order food from 5pm so once he gave us menus we went to order at 5.05pm his horrible colleague said to come back in 10 mins. Went back and the horrible lady gave me attitude. Not impressed. Only ordered cause felt sorry for the nice lad. Dont waste your time. Go to spoons across the road xx

Stopped here for a £5 all you can eat breakfast this morning. Amazing friendly service and great quality food. Everyone should give this place a go!

Only popped in for breakfast, but the staff and service w excellent. All you can eat, full scottish breakfast and drinks for £5. Would recommend this place. Also check out the rooms as a fraction of the price of the hotel across the road.

Staying at hotel opposite and with the restrictions due to Covid 19 we were pleasantly surprised that it took walk ins without booking first. Was fairly quiet but Mary Jane our server was brilliant. Attentive and chatty without being annoying. Will be back. £3 a pint too. Happy days x

Cracking bar with the best beer and food prices I have come across! I regularly frequented this bar during my stay in Glasgow and highly recommend you do the same!

Dla mni dobre miejsce na piwo i szybki lunch. Śniadania bardzo dobre adekwatne do ceny. Miejscówka dobra na parterze Euro Hostelu. Lokalizacja też bardzo dobra wszędzie blisko. Dla mnie super i dlatego polecam

Questo pub è situato a pochi minuti dalla "movida"di Glasgow ma ugualmente in una zona tranquilla.L'interno secondo me andrebbe un po' rinnovato e ma comunque si può pranzare,cenare o anche solo bere qualcosa.I prezzi sono super convenienti.Pensate:due hamburger con patatine e 2 birre medie il tutto 10 sterline!!!Obbiettivamente a Glasgow potrete trovare una miriade di altri locali più belli,ma anche peggiori.Comunque un giro anche da queste parti non vi farà di certo male....anzi

I visited Mint & Lime at the weekend with three friends. The place was quite busy as it is attached onto a Eurohostel. We sat at the window and had a good view of the Clydeside. We had dinner and drinks. I had a Caesar salad and wedges. My friend had a pizza and the others burgers. The food arrived in a reasonable time but the hot meals were tepid when they arrived and went cold very quickly. It wasn’t the cleanest place and when the meals arrived we didn’t have enough cutlery so had to go round other tables to find some. I felt the staff should have checked this when delivering the meals. It took quite some time for us to have our table cleared. They do good deals like pizza plus pint and drinks with main meals too. It also had a good selection of music. There is a pub across the road with similar offers and a wider selection of food. Having tried Mint and Lime I wouldn’t go back and would go to the Crystal Palace opposite in future.

Had a family trip here for dinner and had a good night with no problems. Staff friendly and attentive and food quality was good. Bar prices also decent. I would rate the place as good for a decent night out. Pleasant surroundings and a bit of an oasis in Coat bridge which has an almost derelict town centre in common with most of North Lanarkshire's towns. Will certainly be back.

So convenient when staying in Eurohostel; I can never turn down the mac n cheese! Had it as my last meal in Scotland recently before heading to Africa, and whilst staying at the hostel. Serves meals all day as well.

Bon endroit pour bien manger dans un cadre pub. Nous avons profité de la promotion «tuesday : un curry acheté, le 2ième à moitié prix. Les portions sont très corrects. Nous avons payé 25,76£ pour 2 tikka massala, 1 pâtes aux brocolis et 3 bières. A recommander surtout durant cette coupe du monde : ambiance assurée autour des matchs

Went in here at the tail end of last year for a quick bite to eat as it was close to my yoga class that I was attending later that day. The interior resembles death. Dark, gloomy and grubby. However as I was in a rush I decided to give it a bash. I had on yoga pants, a long sleeved top and trainers. Was told by a member of staff who ironically was wearing a hoodie that they don’t allow customers in with sports clothes on. I pointed out I wasn’t wearing football colours I was just simply going to a yoga class later. They said that was just their policy. When I looked around I noticed all men had trainers on and almost all of their female staff where wearing exactly what I was wearing I.e leggings, trainers and a plain top. I pointed this out to Donna the manager, who informed me staff were allowed to dress like this and residents of the hostel could wear what they want!!! Clearly Donna has being doing the job for so long that she now encases the somber and soul sucking vibe or the bar. Delightful Donna informed me that this was the policy of most bars in Glasgow City Centre, considering that I lived in Glasgow City Centre for many years, I have never once been discriminated like this for wearing comfortable clothes to go to a fitness class. You are part of a hostel not a Michelin starred restaurant!!!! Makes as much sense as a chocolate tea pot.

Great Service Location Very Good in Glasgow

I ate here twice when I stayed in the hostel that the bar is joined to. My first thought was that it was a nice, laid back, homely bar. The staff were lovely and the food was not too pricey at all. My meal at night came with a drink as part of the deal and breakfast was delish! would definitely come back again!

Stayed in the adjoining hostel, ate here on our first night. 2 main meals (and a drink) for £10, meals were microwaved but nice. Good if you're on a budget!

Food was good. Quite reasonable pricing. Atmosphere was good, have the option o playing music in restaurant, which was interesting.

Jedzenie bardzo dobre w atrakcyjnej cenie.

Günstiges all you can eat Frühstück, für 5 Pfund. Da kann man jetzt noch weniger erwarten, als man bekommt. Ist nicht wirklich empfehlenswert, wenn man auf Qualität und Ausgewogenheit hofft. Für Abends mal einen Drink in lockerer Atmosphäre ist es gut.

Although the bar can be noisy and often crowded, it offers a good selection of meals and drinks for groups - and is easily accessible, especially if you are staying in the Euro Hostel. Pleasant staff, good entertainment, great food.

Despite the airbrushed photos as it doesn't quite look as sleek in the flesh, this place is relaxed, reasonably priced, and has upbeat music. A laid back bar just off the beaten track.
