Starbucks in Glasgow City

I collected the wrong drink today (as I thought I was next in line) which was also given to me by a member of staff. When the baristas realised the mix up, I went down to them and asked if mine was the wrong drink and expressed my confusion. The staff member replied something along the lines of “the macchiato for JOSH? Yeah”, in probably the cheekiest tone I’ve ever heard in hospitality - in my life. It was clear that this staff member felt hate in that moment - probably for herself too, as she also gave me the drink. I was very embarrassed as this conversation was loud and I offered “would you like me to pay for that?”, to which she said a stern “no”. She then (in a voice loud enough for other customers to hear) told me that there was “a tonne of dairy in that drink you just had”, I advised her that I was not intolerant. I found myself apologising and saying “sorry… that was just a mix up” - an understanding which I truly felt was absent in her own response (representing Starbucks, don’t forget). In a fast paced and loud environment, you should not be able to place such angry-blame on to a customer who simply made an error while collecting their drink. Change careers if you feel the need, as it is not okay to have customers leaving wishing that they had never set foot in there (and will never again).

Had large americano which never disappoints in Starbucks.

Staff member looked bored. Forgot to give me spoon for coffee. Also forget about butter, jam for croissant. Nice coffee.

Used to order their cream brulee shaken espresso, but this time got a very thin layer of cream top Was a bit disappointed as it's not a very cheap option (nearly £6). The place itself is clean and bright with a nice atmosphere.

its not the plush interior, the ultra cool crowd, the art work adorning the walls (sorry Planet Hollywood/Hard Rock - that's "no bueno") but you could be forgiven for thinking so - nor is the speed or effortlessness with which you are served - it is simply the nutty biscuity taste of a damn good mug of coffee - that reason alone should be enough to get you to visit/revisit Starbucks. Hot drinks for cold days, cold drinks for hot days, what more can you expect from a Starbucks?! You come here because you belong to the coffee shop generation - you come here because it's a chilling and killing zone (chilling out and killing time) - you come here because it's a refuge from the World War Z crowds outside, but most important of all - you here because its that Ibiza groove . It's not "just another coffee shop - it's Starbucks". Nuff said bro

my go-to Starbucks when in Glasgow city centre. clean, great coffee(just how I like it ..I'm very particular). friendly staff

i love this i come here when i feel like i need something tasty normally i get brown sugar shaken exspresso or a strawberry matcha and a tuna panini they arereally good and thats what i recommend and the people are really nice service is great and they make it in 2-5 mins so not that long a wait thanks for reading

The cleanness of this store is pretty bad. The employees must learn to not touch their mouth/nose and make the drinks/foods without washing hands. It’s disgusting!

Thank you so much to the kind baristas that refunded my drink that I managed to somehow order to the wrong store. They were super busy and yet were super sweet about it even though it was probably my pre coffee attention span making a mistake on the app. ❤️

My wife and I managed to find some ‘kid free’ time (older kid that is) to tackle the Christmas shopping, so we dived in here for a late morning Caffeine boost. Although the entrance was slightly tricky for our youngest’s pram, we managed to navigate our way to a decent window table as I went up to order. My wife opted for the Caramel Waffle Latte and I chose a Gingerbread Latte, with a Link Sausage Bap. All thoroughly enjoyed and very in-keeping with the Christmas theme. No dramas with the length of time to wait, friendly staff and comfortable seating to enjoy our hot drinks.

Went to Glasgow with our dogs and stopped at this Starbucks to ask if they were dog friendly. Staff were so good and made us and our doggies so welcome. Had breakfast rolls and coffees, all was piping hot and tasty. Our dogs had pupaccinos which they loved. Jenni was super... went all out for us and our doggies, she was so friendly and the best customer service possible, a real credit to Starbucks. The male who served us was very good too but did not get his name. Please give Jenni the praise she deserves😊Staff like her make customers come back👏

Perfect place for a relax by the window with a nice coffee and cake watching the world go by. There are loads of other Starbucks within 100m but I like this one as it has front and rear views.

The Starbucks coffee shop in Glasgow City Centre is my go-to place for studying. It's much quieter than the one on Buchanan Street, and what I love most is that there's always a seat available. The coffee there is the usual Starbucks quality, and honestly, there's not much to complain about, except that it can get a bit chilly in the winter. But overall, I've had great experiences at this Starbucks. 😊☕ My personal favourite is a nice cappuccino, and they nail it, especially in their largest cup size, venti. It's the perfect companion for about an hour of studying. Starbucks hits the mark when it comes to good coffee and a comfy study spot! 👌📚

Starbucks usually meats my expectations specially when I feel down because of a long day walking

It's been a long while since I had the oppor-chanc-itay to just sit and people watch in 'The Glasgow', it was embellished by the service, and attention to detail, of the barista's, and of course, the banter.....ooh the banter!!!

I always come go to this Starbucks instead of the big one on Buchanan st. as the other one is always mobbed and this one is quicker.

I was a customer today at this specific Starbucks. I was told that the dragon fruit refresher was unavailable. As I went on my journey to the bathroom I noticed out the corner of my eye dragon fruit a plenty. Why was it not being sold ? I watched multiple ladies behind the counter make their own drinks. Why was i victim? This was fully blue coded and I’m not here for it .

Bathroom could be cleaner, but it was very busy! Staff were all lovely every time I’ve been in, fast service, good chat.

Decent coffee with plenty of free seating on the day we visited. Nice central location, close to all the local amenities. Will definitely return the next time we are in the area looking for a caffeine hit.

I ordered on the app but accidentally went to the wrong shop. Instead of sending me on my merry way, the staff looked at my app and made my drink there and then. Excellent customer service! Made my day!

Fairly standard Starbucks experience, friendly staff and service, clean and tidy. This one is set back from Buchanan St so tends to be a bit quieter than others near by.

Staff were friendly but clearly at least 1 member of staff too little and were run off their feet... Cleaned the table myself and although I'm aware Starbucks isn't cheap for 2 coffee's and a stale cinnamon bun I probably shouldn't have been expecting change from £10

This place is MADNESS 2,75 for a cup of tea in a disposable container and I dont know why they even bother to ask you if you are sitting in because we sat in and still got our tea in a disposable container and sachets of sugar, not to mention that we had to go and get it from the counter , gave us no spoon , had to ask and for 2,75 I would have expected at least a proper cup to drink from . I dont know why they asked us if we are sitting in because I dont see the DIFFERENCE it made

Waited 15mins for a black coffee, tables were dirty and leftover cups saucers etc ,plenty staff on but no-one cleaning/clearing tables.wont visit here again.

Difficult to find table to eat my meal as they were all taken with people on their own with lap tops at tables for 2 or more and a long finished coffee cup in front of them. Plenty of staff behind the plastic screen with customers queuing to buy takeaway coffees wearing no masks and were not challenged by any staff member for this. I felt very uncomfortable because these same customers were standing so close to me no regard for social distancing and I would have walked out other than the fact I'd paid for my meal and was awaiting my coffee being made.

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to the girl behind bar today in Starbucks Nelson Mandela Place. In a moment of blissful serenity on a Sunday afternoon I approached the bar to collect my drink, as is normal, and very innocently and casually reached for a cardboard sleeve from the same location that I have lifted the sleeves from countless Starbucks stores over the last 18 years of my life. Thankfully however, the staff member had instant reflexes and immediately snapped at me and patronised me for engaging in such a brazen attempt to inflict viral particles on all those present at the cafe that day. Thanks to this staff member’s bravery today (and on many other days no doubt), I’m sure she is singlehandedly responsible for the saving of thousands of lives. 😊

No gluten free snacks or sandwiches. I was told they have stop providing them for customers since the pandemic. This means I, as a coeliac, cannot be catered for. Even before the pandemic the gf range was very limited.

So the coffee, drinks and snacks were the same standard of "it is what it is" as you would expect from Starbucks. I dare you to have a request of something slightly out the norm... face the wrath of the manager. If she's not then she probably has an attitude problem that someone else got the job. Wow man, clearly the hospitality industry isn't suited to this far from delightful lady. Possibly she'd be better in the position of Concentration Camp Comnendant. Go, enjoy the delights that Starbucks are famed for. Just remember your headphones!

I’m sure this was the one me & my daughter where in yesterday just off argyle st almost opposite a big one on argyle st around the corner? I was having problems with the card machine & a young girl & guy was supporting me, I was getting frustrated & the support& service they gave me & my daughter was outstanding, they are a real credit to Starbucks, thank you.

I was delighted with the service. I have only just become a dog owner and I’m finding out places that allow dogs. This cafe does and the staff were great. I appreciate that a well behaved dog is a prerequisite but so are well behaved humans. Thank you very much for making my day and allowing me, my dog and a pal to have a relaxing coffee. More places need to follow Starbucks’ example.

Your bog standard coffee shop, that has the homely feel of a dentists waiting room. Often rather chili in here so always best take a hat scarf and your best face the North jacket. There is free WiFi and that's the only positive thing about this place.

Really cheap compared to Ireland (even though it's cheaper than France) and the staff is nice and friendly. The sockets are especially useful.

Standard affair Starbucks branch. Staff are friendly. Quite small so seating is limited but isn't too busy so usually somewhere available to sit. Not much to say really.

Tomé un café grande o dos un par de veces en mi visita a esta sucursal y el café siempre es bueno y como a mí me gusta, pero esta vez estuve aquí en Glasgow debido a circunstancias tristes. Luego perdí una tarjeta bancaria que era realmente importante. Todo fue un poco demasiado y tuve un pequeño colapso. . . llorando como un loco . . la parcela. El personal y una dama en particular me sentaron, se aseguraron de que estuviera bien, me tranquilizaron y buscaron conmigo. Lo más amable y totalmente inesperado. En una gran ciudad no siempre se esperaba tanta amabilidad, pero hay personas increíbles por ahí. Creo que esta siempre será mi sucursal cuando vuelva a estar en Glasgow.

The coffee and snacks are as good in Scotland as they are back home. One little caution: they only brew Pike so you can't order a dark or blond. Also, they only have milk to add. No cream.

Fui a desayunar aquí. Nos atendió enseguida un personal muy agradable. La comida estuvo grandiosa. Nos sentamos en la ventana mirando a la gente. Definitivamente regresaría allí cuando estemos en Glasgow, ¡el precio que pagamos por nosotros dos era la mitad del costo del hotel en el que nos alojábamos!

This was my mother's first experience of a Starbucks and despite the negative reviews here, we had a positive visit. We were staying across the road in the Premier Inn and opted not to have breakfast with them so used this Starbucks over the road. Staff were nice, food was fine and the drinks were perfect. We sat at the window and watched people hurrying to work. I'd come back again without a doubt.

Coffee good. Cakes not so good always dry. Visited this starbucks today 9.7.19 bout 315 PM coffee was ok. Service from staff terrible the Male server was borderline rude and the female making coffee looked like she didn't want to be there avoid this starbucks one round the corner much better

Really dreadful coffee costing the same as a 300 gram jar Gold Blend. Maybe you have to ask for flavourings to improve the taste but I (and The Hubby) are kinda old fashioned in that regard. We only wanted a nice cup of black coffee. How hard is that ? Impossible apparently in this place. This was a first for me but as we were on an evening out with a little bit of time to kill and it was cold, wet and windy I didn't object to paying the overly inflated prices. Wish I had. First and last.

Absolutely outrageous customers service. We went for Mothers day lunch but our little one slept the whole time, as soon as we about to leave she woke up abd vmwas very hungry, so we thought we will go to Starbucks get some coffee and cakes and feed the baby. Went to oder our coffee and cakes been seved by Lea who happened to be very unhelpful, unpleasant and rude server. I asked if she could reheat my babies food in the microwave she says oh no we can't put plastic in the microwave (its microwave save dish/pot picture attached) so i am ok can you give me a jug of hot water so i can make it warm that way, oh no we dont have that big jugs, oh ok can you can you give me a microwave save cup (by your mean save) so i can put my babies food in it so it could be reheated oh no sorry we can't do that. End up getting croissant for my daughter witch she wasn't a big fan of (nothing wrong with the croissant she just too wee for it). So yeah happy Mother's days to all the wonderful mothers out there and don't you dare come to Starbucks to feed your baby!

Stopped in for a latte to kill some time before an appointment. Didn't have to wait long to be served, only one person in front of me. The staff were pleasant enough when serving me, but did a lot of chatting amongst themselves and one was looking on her phone as i waited at the end for my coffee to be made. I went and sat down in a quiet corner, right next to the interior wall of panelled windows that lead to nelson mandela place. The state of those windows with muck was an absolute disgrace, you cant even blame it on the weather and the outside being a major factor, as you had to walk through a little hallway to enter the building to get to this wall panel of windows. It was a good few weeks worth of grime, but probably months. Yes Glass does get dirty easily, but it doesnt take much to clean it, a cloth and glass cleaner. If the staff have time to chat amongst them selves and check their phone ( i'm not agaisnt this per say} surely there is time once a week to clean the interior windows. Put me off completely, and just made the place look trashy

Normally a nice place to go but when you query a price that is on the price board but told a different price at the till, You most definitely do not expect to get surly staff telling you the till is always correct!!! Will use somewhere else from now on!

Shocking service man at till to busy chatting up girls. Guy making coffee to busy talking to friends waited 10mins in a quiet Starbucks then ask guy where my drink was and it was sitting waiting there. Could no see it for his friends.No idea how long it was there.
