The Town Tavern Restaurant in Glasgow City

Nice boozer. Good deals on drink. Menu basic but the usual staples... I had a burger and it was fine. Mostly though, the twice I've been in, the staff have been really friendly and welcoming.

Curry is value for money,,surprised this place isn't busier

Shocking checked Internet food on till 7pm this is 3rd time I've went in there at about 5pm not serving food not trying it again

Would just like to thank all the staff for a lovely visit. Food was amazing, great value and with no corners cut, every one commented on how good their meals were! Staff attentive without being annoying and bar staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back soon.

They stopped serving dinner at half past three because it was quiet apparently. At half past three. For dinner.

Had a Chili n cheese burger and the wife had Fish and chips (£20) very nice good portion size , toilets were clean but cold, staff were very friendly drinks were reasonably priced £8 for a Tennant lager and a large white wine, will go back

Great food great staff very welcoming. Been coming here for years and I've always loved this wee pub. Lynn is absolutely lovely lady and always welcomes you when your in. Pop in if your passing by for a pint and food. Its amazing.

Not strict enough with covid rules

Absolutely shocking customer service!! When we arrived they asked specifically for passports which isnt a mandatory form of ID. We had to physically bribe the pub “owner” to allow us in which is completely Disgusting and humiliating especially at such an older age. If you knew any customer service at all you would know that the first rule is the customer is always right! This woman then told us that she was “only joking” after we named people whom which she knew. There was a gentleman behind the bar who was serving, he was absolutely fantastic and knew exactly how to treat customers. Closer to the end of the night, the woman behind the bar, Lesley, was extremely rude. She didnt serve us for at least 15 minutes and I shouted on her not by her name as i did not know her name and she told every single one of her cutomers apart from me “I am not serving that little girl she has got a stinking attitude” so I walked away and then after thinking about it, I took my way to the bar to express my apology as I had felt I hurt this womans feelings but she just embarrassed me infront of every customer she had and did not serve me the rest of the night, which having a customer service qualification I know is totally wrong as I did not do anything harmful and I shouldnt even have apologised! This pub is atrocious and I will notnreturn to pay them money for the extremely poor quality they provide. Especially Lesley as she made me feel terrible for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

We at the Men Shed on Shettleston Road just had a fantastic Christmas Dinner for some of our members at the Town Tavern it was wonderful the staff were very friendly,curtious, and helpful, the meal was tremendous and plenty of it, thanks again to all the staff, and our Chairperson Willie, Treasurer Michael, and unnamed persons for organising this for us the thankfully Shredders thank you,,,,,, John Williamson (secretary)

Positive and friendly atmosphere. Pool table before live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Easy access to small back garden / patio. One of the best pints of Tennents available! Crisp and very cold!
