Got told I wasn't getting served as I had an attitude coz I said my magners was like a champagne and I asked for something to dry my hands after I'd been to the toilet.

Cannot thank the staff at the Lockhouse enough for giving us the use of their upstairs for the wake for my sister, Melissa the manageress especially, she gave us the place for free, and also provided the buffet for us too. Nice place for a small to medium party. Bit pricey for soft drinks £1.50 for a can of Coca-Cola and £2 for a pint of lemonade don't no about the beers

Just popped in as had 30 minutes until meet up with friends. It was a midweek afternoon so quite empty. The staff were friendly, we had 3 soft drinks, a bottle of Budweiser and a haggis starter which was presented really well. This came tp around £10. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because there was no non-dairy option for the coffee but they probably have no requests from their usual customers.

Good pub, great prices, nice courteous staff, friendly clientele and dog friendly. First time in since it was The Elephant & Bugle, my wee dog and I were made very welcome.

Great pub if your into your cocaine valium and own a suit of armour and a Glock 9mm. Was meant to be a new attraction to bring in a better clientele but they failed horribly. I've been in 3 times once at a party twice for a beer after work #Hardcore #BearPit

Me and my partner went for lunch on Friday 6th July... its the first time being in since it has been "done up"... really impressed with the decor it looks amazing.. partner had the Macaroni Cheese with a side of fries.. said it was one of the best he has eaten! thats major praise!! I had the Cajun chicken burger with salad; fries and beetroot coleslaw.. it was delicious.. hot and spicy well worth a try!! will definitely be back again..

The food is good but the mint chocolate bomb is a must try for dessert it was amazing. They do a deal Monday to Thursday which is a 2 course meal and a half pint of any soft drink for £10

Went into the lockhouse with a couple of friends looking for a light bite and a few drinks and the service couldn’t have been friendlier!! In particular Stephanie who made us up a delicious cocktail that wasn’t even on the menu and was very attentive!!! Such a nice way to spend an evening as we live locally and this is a great wee pub!

Came here for a fiftieth birthday party. The buffet that was put on by the pub was the best buffet I've had. The food was excellent.

Love the Karaoke presented by Stephen sound is fantastic. They serve really good food staff are friendly and helpful. Not too expensive, decor is really nice not your normal Maryhill pub. Brilliant atmosphere at karaoke where everyone is encouraged to sing. Always have a great wee night.

We recently had our Engagement Party here in the function suite upstairs which holds up to 100 people so this was ideal for us as we both don't have big families. It was the perfect size and very modern. From the minute I enquired about booking I was given excellent service with very prompt replies via facebook messaging. I was also informed that there was a full liscence till 1am for kids to come along, which is very rare nowadays! We decided to take their buffet and DJ to save us hassle and I am very glad we did as we were not disappointed. The buffet consisted of a selection of hot foods which went down very well. The bar tender on the night was very helpful and friendly and made sure all our guests were satisfied. He even made up his own types of cocktails. On the day after the party I was also given a call by Kev the manager to make sure that I was happy with how the night went. I felt this was a great personal touch! Overall our night was perfect and could not have went any better. Everyone had a fantastic night and I feel this was helped by the very friendly and helpful staff who made sure our night ran smooth. I would definitely recommend this place for functions as you will not be disappointed!

First time in the lockhouse . Had an absolute blast. Karaoke Stephen was a legend. He has a beautiful voice. He accompanied all sort of songs. Staff wer very friendly. Prices ok. Lovely and clean. Clientele was amazing. Will defo go back again. ⛧x

Some people just ain't happy why come to a pub to get peece 😂😂??? Great wee pub and great atmosphere. One of the best pints about at the moment and all the staff are really friendly which makes a big difference compared to some others around

Was along at the Lockhouse for a late lunch this afternoon to try out the new menu. Great food and very good value. There were 4 of us, 2 of us shared the starter platter, one had nachos and the other had garlic mushrooms. All delicious! Then I had battered haddock with homemade skin-on chips and peas - served with lemon wedges and tartare sauce - really lovely! (£6.95) Hubby had steak pie with mashed potatoes and vege and said it was great. (£5.95, I think..) Son had an enormous mixed grill (chicken, gammon, steak, sausage and fried egg and chips - couldn't finish it all but said it was fab. Comes with 2 side orders too - he chose corn on the cob and onion rings. Brilliant at £8.95! His friend had macaroni cheese (£5.95) with added chips for £1. Was a great meal with super service from Donna! Would definitely recommend. Food served upstairs on a Saturday and Sunday but same menu served in the bar during the week.

Thorougly enjoyed our family day out. Almost clean plates all round. Both kids enjoyed their steak pie and burgers.

Seventeen of my family members descended upon The Lockhouse unexpectedly after a family funeral. We hadn't booked and just phoned 10minutes before we arrived. Not too considerate on our part, they dealt with it very well. With just one waitress who was also working the bar, the manager stepped in to help serve us. The food was tasty and fresh, though they limited the menu due to the number of us arriving at the same time and just one chef. The waitress remained in good spirits and met all of our needs, the waitress was observant and efficient. Comfortable pub with nice modern decor and good pub food, would come back again if in the area again.

We visited on a voucher for carvery and although we weren't able to have carvery the staff were very accommodating and fitted us in downstairs in the pub restaurant. The food was your traditional pub grub but was surprisingly tasty. There was a nice atmosphere with staff taking time to engage with visitors and locals alike. The afternoon was perfectly pleasant and if we were in the area again I'd stop by for a drink or two !

We went to Lockhouse for a quick drink before an event @ Maryhill. The drinks took a while to be served, but that was as one person had ordered a cocktail that needed special preparation- even so, I went to ask if the other drinks could be served to those waiting.

Visited here via a Living Social Deal which was advertised as a carvery 7 days a week. turned up on Monday 14th March to be informed there was no carvery on today!. No apology and when i asked what the options were i was informed " just pick a main course of the menu". so not a great start there.

Couldn't fault the service at all. Food portions are really small considering the price. I could have ate my dinner twice over. Cocktails were nice enough. If i was to go back i'd probably order a starter and a main, unless they rethink their portions.

Went in here for a family meal as we live nearby and decided to give it a go,it was the worst dining experience we have ever had,the food was late (90mins from ordering) it was cold and not cooked properly,there are so many things wrong with this place they are too numerous to put down,please avoid this place like the plague

This place has opened locally and been meaning to visit here since it opened. Went at the weekend for dinner with my girlfriend. Food was mediocre, I had chicken cajun burger, was decent although onion rings on it were a bit burnt. Girlfriend had a cheese n bacon burger which she said was nice but fell apart too easily. Cannot fault the staff, they were very friendly and polite, and when they didnt have something on the menu I wanted they were very apologetic. Great Staff

This bar is right next to my bus stop for work, and when it became clear back in June that the old Elephant and Bugle was being transformed into something that was more Garnethill than Maryhill, we all started to get quite excited. Nightlife in that end of town is fairly limited, and drinks after work were limited to a pint in Harvey's. Having somewhere 2 minutes walk from the office which would serve cocktails, wine and decent grub was going to be very convenient. The question was, would Maryhill take to it?

We had wanted to try this new place in the area for a while as previously before when it was The Elephant and Bugle we had walked by many times mainly due to clientele hanging around outside and on Tuesday 28th July we walked in The refit of the venue's interior has been completely updated, featuring brown leather curved booths and wall seats with square tables and a bar along one wall excellent first impression. Waitress came very promptly and showed us menus and ask us for our drinks order and was very pleasant. She then brought our drinks and took our order I chose the smoked salmon fishcakes and my partner chose the lasagne (part of there two meals for £10 special available Mon to Thur) with a side order of steak cut chips. I must say we did wait a good 15-20mins for our order but when it arrived it looked fantastic. I immediately cut into one of two of my fishcakes only to find my knife cut not cut it straight through so I pulled it to the side and found an iced solid chunk of fishcake I actually touched it with my finger and it was freezing. I called over the waitress and told her and she promptly took it away. She returned about 10 mins after and said she had spoke to the manager who had said I would not have to pay for my meal, which considering I had not even tasted the meal was the least they could do. She asked if I would like anything else from the menu as it would take more time to cook the meal again fresh from scratch, if it had been cooked from fresh in the beginning I would not have had an iceberg in the middle of my fishcake. As my partner was now well into her lasagne and had received a portion of French fries instead of steak cut chips I decided not to bother and do without. My partner said her lasagne was very good although the portion of garlic bread with it was very small. We got the bill on finishing our drinks and found we had been charged full price for the lasagne meal £6.95 and £2 for the French fries, £5.90 for the two pints of lager we had. The waitress also told us they had given us 25% discount from the total bill which was ok but it would have been nice to get an apology from the manager him/herself. I'm afraid this visit may have put us off visiting this place again or recommending to friends
