Costa in Glasgow City

We ordered coffee and hot chocolate, it wasn't busy, still managed to get hot chocolate order wrong. Asked me if they had given me my change, they had. Said he couldn't remember. I went to the toilet whilst there, oh my God! Disgusting. The stench was dreadful! Toilets blocked, water all over the floors, tissues everywhere. Never visit there again.

Lovely staff, really well suited to their job very friendly, so refreshing to see I'm this day and age.

Bad service and not good coffee...very expensive

Very bad service and they have served us whatever they wanted compared to what we asked for as long as we paid more, despite being expensive it is not even good

They have treated us terribly, they have served us whatever they wanted. Terrible price quality. The waitress was very unpleasant and arrogant. I do not recommend it .

The staff is lovely so I don't want to rate them down but if you're over 45kg you literally will not fit in the women's toilet stall 😅

Ash was great. I have been insanely busy and had forgotten to wash my coffee cup before asking for my order. Ash offered to clean it and she scrubbed it spotless (it did have yesterday’s tea still in it). I am so lucky ash was on today or I’d be lost without my afternoon pick-me-up! Thanks again.

delivery driver was driving around and refused to follow delivery instructions, kept insisting I meet him on the road, so annoying I binned it

How do they get an apparently clean toilet to smell like that?? Truly disgusting. Otherwise a decent coffee shop.

Needs some TLC! This used to be my go-to branch due to its location and being quieter than the George Square one. Last couple of times I have been in there has been one staff member on duty during lunchtime- surely the busiest time. A few of the staff seem very new and have been left on their own without support and that slows things down. The main thing seems to be issues with the building- on a few occasions now I have had to find a new meeting place last minute due to the seating area being closed as the toilet is out of order, plus some loose tiles at the doorway and a sign up for a while now. It’s a shame because of the two branches near the train stations this one is usually the best.

Great branch of Costa in Glasgow. Clean, quick and super friendly and helpful staff especially Amy who goes over and beyond to make sure her customers receive first class service!

Service excellent and staff very good. Had a lovely cup of coffee which was needed along with a nice almond croissant. Would visit it in the area again.

The whole process took longer than expected but there’s a shortage of drivers so that’s to be expected. The driver did well in the circumstances

Visited Royal Exchange Square Glasgow branch. Great selection of cakes and attractive seating area.

Oh dear! We came into have a cuppa and a catch up as it was freezing outside. The temperature was -minus outside. Girl on the counter was very helpful and pleasant. We weren't long sat down when a male member of staff jammed open the doors. After a while my sister went over to close the door as she initially thought it had been left open by accident. She was told by the male member of staff that it was too stay open as he was bringing the chairs and tables in. The shop didn't close for 45 mins. He didn't bring the chairs in. He stacked all the chairs up outside before bringing them in, this task probably took him 15 minutes. So she asked again if the doors could be closed while he wasn't needing in and she was told " No the doors are staying open" there was a discussion back and forth but he made his stance clear. To hell with all the customers in the shop who were now putting on thier coats because they were becoming cold. She told him she felt he was being unreasonable. He did not care. He then made a customer who was sitting with her drink move the table and chair she was sat at, so he could create space for these chairs that he was now dragging in. There was no regards shown toward any customers and these task should have been completed when the shop was closed. Won't be back. Couldn't organise a picnic in Park.

Well staffed coffee shop....unfortunately no member of staff was taking responsibility for leading the team during our visit. Available tables had not been cleared, floors were dirty and food cabinets were in a state of disarray. When it came my turn to be served I requested that a member of staff arrange our table to be cleared and wiped. I expressed my concern in respect of the shops lack of cleanliness and poor standards. Evident during our visit that staff impressed as concentrating more on takeaway deliveries. Would not recommend

Cold coffee, leaked too, which meant I paid for a large, but ended up with a medium in a large cup and the rest of it in the bag. Think the driver got lost - I was following his erratic route on the map app. I won't order from any of the Costas again: there are coffee shops that are better at deliveries - and one of them is NOT the obvious competitor.

Not happy came very late had to stand outside for a while waiting got order

Originally entered the cafe at 16:30 yesterday, aware that it was closing at 18:00. I was intending on sitting in and the only table available table was dirty so took it upon myself to clean it. The 3 members of staff did not attempt to even help clear the table or even thank me for clearing it. It took over ten minutes to get served two hot chocolates and during this time I heard the staff discussing closing the store one hour early at 5pm (which was surprising as the store was busy), I assumed that as I had originally put my order at 16:30 and due to their delay I didn't get my drinks till 16:40 I would at least get to finish my drinks in store, however at 5pm exactly I was asked to leave the store.

Not happy with the time for delivery and hot chocolate was cold. It took over an hour to deliver nearby!

Great staff and very helpfully, and a great coffee too. Can’t remember the girls name who served me. May have had an English accent, anyway she was fantastic 👍🏻

Wrong item received a bacon roll instead of sausage roll

Came in just for a cup of tea and a toastie. The gentleman behind the till was extremely polite and helpful. He offered to carry the tray of tea over to the table and was more than willing to provide any extra help. I'm afraid I didn't get his name so he can be praised directly.

Staff are nice and welcoming. Place is clean. My tomatoes and mozzarella panini was good and so was my americano.

Nice, spacious café with views over George Square and Merchant City. Speedy service, friendly staff, clean toilets. I keep forgetting how big the medium latte are and fall for it every time, but my dirty almond chai was very nice and the lemon drizzle cake was delicious. You can't check in through the NHS Scotland app, but once you've checked in at any Costa, it's straightforward. Same for their WiFi. ££

Love Costa coffee, what more needs said alway kept clean and tidy. Staff are nice and helpful.

Only got half the order. The other half the delivery driver kept saying he was there but he wasn't and eventually didn't return.

The hot chocolate I ordered was only a little over half full.

Ordered ice latte and cappuccino Ice had melted in the latte and the cappuccino was just a big milky coffee, any foam had disapeared and the milk was nearly the entire cup, very disappointed

Terrible and extremely slow service. They also refused my 8 month pregnant wife access to the toilet. Utter disgrace. Avoid at all cost.

Not my favourite Costa just because it too small and not really suited for a busy area like the exchange square. But they do let you charge your phone up without any hassle .....

Loved the Costa in Glasgow. Staff: extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. Even asked if there's vegetarians among us in case our toasties needed to be warmed separately. Coffee and food: served hot, looked and tasted amazing! Safety: staff does make sure you sign for track and trace and makes sure everyone follows social distancing. Great place, definitely recommend.

They opened up late by 10 minutes I waited 23 minutes before i actually ate something and was in a rush due to a time commitment so ended up very frustrated I think a poor asian chap was opening up on his own because i think his colleague decided to rock up late...not fair and poor customer service as a result

Such a shame. Came in on a quiet day to sit and kill time after having spent 4 hours on a bus. Had a suitcase with me and bag. Nice of the 3 boys behind the counter to be more concerned with their general gossip to even notice that I spilt my coffee over the tray whilst trying to get my case to the table. Poor service indeed!

Very nice cost place , I had a mocha and it was lovely. They also have a good selection of cakes and biscuits on display.

The range of coffees is great the food is good. You can have a hot meal and it's good to pick up sandwiches for work. The staff are very friendly and it looks nice.

Good place to come for a coffee and to get a bit of work done. A shame that hey didn't seem to have any sockets around to plug my laptop in. Nice staff, nice location.

Coffee good however toilets diabolical. Ground floor disabled toilet not very clean . Basement ladies toilet tiny and cramped. Anyone pregnant or overweight must have difficulty entering cubicles. Locks have not worked for a very long time.

Nice coffee shop, it's a good size, not too big and small enough to make you want to stay. Good service , fast friendly and a great range of products. It's also in a nice part of the town, lots to see so it's a nice stopover for tourists.
