Jason served us, local pub always been the best place to go!

Was in for a few beers with pals , the gentleman Jason was an excellent example of a what a barman should be.

Recently moved to the area and James Tassie‘s is quickly becoming a favourite local! Great midweek deals and the football is always on. Service is brilliant - servers have always been kind and helpful. Jason has been dutifully manning the place this evening and brings great energy.

Went down last night for the quiz was such a good laugh and good atmosphere. Mia behind the bar was so helpful and gave us such a good night. Will highly recommend

Was in shawlands and dropped into this pub and was served by Jason. Very friendly and helpful and decent patter. Will pop in again when in the area

Tassies is my local and the best pub in Shawlands. The staff are great always on the ball. Karen is a fantastic manager, top class and always looks after us all and her team. Great for food and the best spot for all sport. Highly reccomend

Visited with my husband and my daughter not too long ago. I am quite a fussy eater however Joe behind the bar was incredibly patient with my dietary requirements for the mixed grill. My daughter is also a pescatarian and they were even as kind to substitute the battered sausage on the chip shop platter for a Quorn sausage. Just unheard of, and really shows they go out their way for even the most niche dietary preferences. The food was all cooked immaculately and I really appreciated their going out their way for my fussyness. Beer selection was very good as were the gins on offer. Our dogs were also welcomed with open arms and spoiled with treats and pets. Please do visit if you’re stopping by in Shawlands. Haven’t had a pub grub quite like that for a long time now. - T

Visited with my daughter and wife. Excellent service from the whole team. Karen and Charles are especially diamonds. Drink prices are very good for the area, as some pubs you’re paying as much 4.65 for a pint of Tennents. The mixed grill was absolutely wonderful. As someone who has a South African wife, it was the perfect option for that carnivore. Excellent options for entertainment and when it comes to food, the staff are very on the ball with dietary requirements. Lovely locals and regulars as well. Both staff and regulars were very welcoming of our two golden retrievers who were treated to Glasgows finest water and biscuits. If you’re in Shawlands, please stop by. The best pub. MIXR app also a good bargain, can’t beat a free pint!

The place is falling apart, barely any of the kitchen staff are clean and proficient enough to be in a kitchen, place is fake

Tried the new James Tassie menu. Opted for the mixed grill which had very generous portions and very reasonably priced. The service from Kirsty and manager James was superb . Well worth a visit

Popped in recently for a beer and bite to eat whilst watching the football. Have to say, great local pub...full of general working class folk just looking to relax and have a good time. The food, fairly decent for the price point...dont get me wrong its bit world xlass, but for pub food its great. Worth a visit.

Was severed by Kristy, a lovely young lady who made sure I was well taken care of. Would recommend visiting this place with it's fine food and options for any dietary requirements.

Great service from Alex and Mia tonight, came in for the Arsenal game and they were super helpful - great pour of Guinness too!

Mia and Alex did a grand job of showing us how to work the MIXR app to redeem a free drink! Alex was very patient despite it taking a while to load. Great place to watch the champions league knock out with best seats in the house and very cute wee fairy lights that came on at half time!

Was in for food with my fiancée, food was really good, The bar staff were friendly and the place was really clean and tidy can’t wait to come back.

Disabled toilets. Are abhorrent. Customers who are not disabled wanted into loo. Place is swimming. I had to roll up my trousers!! One drink and out. Something I do t wish to experience again. Came here years ago. There was some sort of green spit on the bowl. Thankfully I carry clinical wipes and tissues. An awful experience. And that's just the toilet!!!!

Went to the James Tassie today to watch the football, with some friends, although it was very busy, the bar girl Nicola..was so welcoming and friendly, very attentive, and chatted away asking how our day was going, and she helped us over with our drinks to the table. Nothing was to much trouble. Amazing service today. Definitely will be returning.

Love coming here for breakfast. Karen and her team do a fantastic job. The Christmas decor was out out of this world so hats of to Karen her standards are very high. The food is always delicious and great value for money. Pub is very disabled friendly and our daughter who has special needs always feels very comfortable when coming here meaning my family can enjoy their day. Highly recommended The James Tassie

Fantastic pub! The staff are really welcome and the toilet are very clean. We got a nice cold pint at a proper good price! The Christmas decorations are lovely. Would highly recommend a visit👍

Last thing you need on a wee night out is a touchy barman. It’s totally ok if you haven’t heard of laphroaig, mate. No it wasn’t a test and aye it’s a whisky.

I was in tassies yesterday approximately 5pm,lager was lovely as usual, sitting outside, my preference, I saw a young couple,the lad was sitting down on pavement, I offered my assistance, but Karen came out and attended to the couple, apparently the boy had a problem with his heart,so he told me.An ambulance had been called,and Karen looked after the couple ,very professional manner,considering how cold it was she and staff did an admiral job,beyond the call of duty,wll done to her 👏👏👏🤧🤧🥶🥶🥶
